Ate sooo much when we came here! My favorite was the orange chicken and chicken fried rice. We ordered like 7 plates just to try everything. My parents have been coming here for years. Also their passion fruit iced team w jelly boba was bomb

I like the Walmart in the area, and decided to look for Chinese food nearby. I order to go, over the phone, and it was ready in 15 minutes. You can dine in or not, it's enough space. I ordered the lunch beef and broccoli, and a small shrimp fried rice. The beef and broccoli was tender and cooked well, but it had a tangy taste. The paper wrapped chicken was well marinated and tender, but it reminded me of pork. The fried rice is okay, but not your typical. All in all, I'd go back if I'm in the area to try other things.

What caught my eye was the vintage eatery when I looked it up on yelp. That got me curious . I love anything vintage . We were looking for something fancy just because it's Chinese new year . I always celebrate Chinese new year. I love to celebrate all races, especially if that means I can celebrate and eating their delicious food. These taste buds are worldwide baby , plus I love a good lion dance & a red envelope ! As much as this place didn't look super fancy , I was hoping the food was gonna make up for it . Thank God, it did! The food was amazing. If I'm ever in the Montebello area, I will definitely go here again.

It was kind of musty when I walked in. I was immediately greeted. There were not too many people. I had my mind set on egg foo young. I got a combo with egg flower soup, fried shrimp, egg foo young, fried rice, and chow mein. I also ordered a side of paper wrapped chicken and sesame balls. I was in for a shock! The portion size was enormous. I finished the soup, egg foo young, and 2 wrapped chicken. Took everything else to go. Everything was tasty. I never got an opportunity to finish the chow mein. I did eat all the sesame balls! My favorite! I would be back but with reinforcements so I can taste their food too. lol.

My husband and I ABSOLUTELY love this place. It's a place we found together and we are finally back for the second time. We love the service, we love the tasty flavors in the food, and I absolutely love the Honey Citron and ginger tea. We look forward to coming here as our date night for our tradition once a month.

Food was very good. Small restaurant so space is limited. Service was fast, for a large group.

It's pretty good here and they have complimentary refills! They're known for their rice noodle rolls here and you can order them, along with their small dim sum menu, all day long. The wonton noodles here were just $13.98! They come with 5 large wontons and vegetables over wonton noodles. I always recommend adding chili oil. The steamed spareribs on steamed rice have some bones, just like the ones you find at dim sum. But there's a lot of meat in the steamed rice bowl for a single person. Free parking in rear parking lot. Entrance at the front on Garvey Ave. They have 2 entrances in front now. Left door for to-go orders and right door for dine-in.

Interior is hardly decorated but has statement black and red tables and chairs haha. No one was dining in, but it seemed like Steam Fresh was popular for takeout. For us, a black sesame roll (could be a snack or dessert), four orders of steamed pork siu mai, two orders of juicy pork dumplings (soup dumplings), and a beef chow fun with soy sauce dish totaled to a little over $55. Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai were especially juicy and meaty; they definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.

Great value and taste. Reminds me of the old value you would get at HK cafes (larger portions and…read moreunlimited drink). The other places in the area don't quite give as much food and are about the same price. I love the soy noodles that typically comes with rice porriage, I asked for a custom one since I didn't want rice porriage and they granted it (lucky me). Looking to come back again for their pork chops and chicken since they give two in their portions! (This is a thing of the past)

Solid HK cafe! This…read moreis my second time here, and first time for their breakfast. I ordered their 123 breakfast and got pork chop, toast with eggs, and macaroni soup with ham. My husband got the chicken chow mein, and everything tasted alright. The food comes with a drink and we both ordered hot HK milk tea. The portions are pretty big. I expected one pork chop, but I got 2. They were pretty sizable. The flavor was savory and umami. It was also pretty tender which I appreciate. I got my eggs scrambled and it was okay, it wasn't really seasoned. It also didn't taste like real egg? That was the only kicker in our meal. The toasts were pretty standard and it came with grape jelly. There was also a slice of orange lol. I'd say it's a nice touch. As for the macaroni, kinda disappointing because it's nothing special. It tastes as expected. I might try something else next time. The chow mein tasted pretty good. It's basically the dark soys sauce chow mein with chicken. There is mung bean sprouts and green onion in it. The ingredients are pretty simple, but they cooked it well. It had the wok smokiness that I like. Atmosphere was great. It was the weekend so a lot of families were out hanging out together. There was a little bit of a wait. I think I waited 20 some min, but they give you a beeper which I prefer over a call or text. Service was aight, as coming to a place like this, it's more about the food if you know what I mean. Would come back!
