I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. We reminded the same server about what they had told us earlier -- that we would still be seated first. The response was basically, "There's nothing I can do. I only go by the numbers." That was extremely frustrating and confusing. If the restaurant only follows the numbers, then why were we skipped in the first place? And if the staff member told us we would still be seated first, why was that explanation completely ignored later? We were the first ones there and simply expected the waiting system to be fair and consistent. We weren't asking for special treatment -- we just wanted the same rules to apply to everyone.
