Omg, they have prime ribs here!! For breakfast brunch! At a price that beats Outback Steakhouse! It's also done really well and comes with Au ju sauce. Tender and juicy, two eggs the way you like and a side of hash or fruits. My friend got the sour dough Texas burger with onion rings and she really enjoyed it. Small cafe atmosphere, friendly servers, seems like a family owned place. Clean bathrooms that are stocked. Even though the menu isn't huge, the food here comes in big portions and a lot of classics with a Mexican options.

The place is small and cute and located in a small shopping center. The waitress was very attentive and always made sure our drinks are filled. The portions of this place is huge! I only wished they had their seasonal items placed on a separate menu or you would have to just look at the sign outside or on the chalkboard for it I would recommend this place as a go to breakfast place. They have regulars who go there often for a reason.

Great spot in Escondido for brunch.. decided to try this place out since they have what we were looking for as breakfast food.. this spot is located in the same plaza as big lots.. which is nice to walk off the food right after.. they have nice big size portions unlike some other breakfast place.. service was good

I got the country fried steak and eggs. They have this homemade salsa that's exceptional, it has a little bit of a kick.

They make the mimosas perfectly every time, I think cranberry is the best. I love when places are constantly checking to make sure we have everything we need. It's amazing to me that this place isn't busy all the time.

This is a great, no frills spot for breakfast or lunch! Nothing fancy, just good food and friendly service. I've been coming here since I was a child and have never been disappointed!

Country fried steak and French toast combo

Came for breakfast and food was great! Great customer service and attentive. I ordered the country fries steak and my daughter ordered the French toast combo and it was delish! Listening to oldies while we eat. Very homey feeling.

So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

The cheese that was grilled into the bread was overpowering all the other flavors. The spam slice was so thin, we could barely taste it. My husband had two bites of his half and couldn't eat anymore. The parfait was good but nothing special. Pretty small but they managed to fit about 6 tables inside. Tables are also available in front as well as in the back. Parking is also available in front and rear. Service was friendly and prompt. Price is a bit steep for what you get. One sandwich and one parfait was around $35. Not sure if I would return.

Today, we ordered the classic lunch combo burger with fries-delicious and does not taste like freezer burn!!! There is a choice of not just beef, but also impossible, gluten free, and grass fed meats. All burgers are cooked to medium unless you specify otherwise. Easy to order-just go to the counter and order, pick a seat and wait for your meal. The interior dining area has plenty of seating and restrooms in the back. The outdoor patio looks nice enough for when it's a nice cool night, it is covered as well. Anyway, we'll be back since the menu looks super inviting because there are other choices besides burgers and the best thing is that they use a lot of local, fresh ingredients! They have a good selection of beer, milkshakes, and drinks. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. It's hard to find a burger place with all my favorites: an egg, bacon, and avocado. The bacon was crispy, the egg was medium and wasn't too runny, and the brioche bread was a little sweet and fluffy. They use angus beef for their patties. You can also split your fries which I love! I got to try the onion rings and sweet potato fries. I wish the sweet potato fries were crispy. They were more on the soggy side. The onion rings batter was a lil thicker than I like. The batter overpowered the onion. We also got the Cajun wings to try which was nice and crispy! They give you a few sauces on the side so you can dip it. I got the ranch which was so good with the wings, fries and burger. The milkshakes are pretty delicious! We got the classic vanilla one. It was a pretty thick shake so you know they use legit ice cream! I also liked the peach lemonade. I would check this place out if you're in the area!

The location has a pretty extensive menu written in chalk on the walk, and it's easy to read. There are choices of sandwiches, salads and a lot of great food in-between. The sauce on the salad was flavorful with just a bit of zest, and they gave us extra so that was really cool. It's a really comfy place to eat with a little bit of a Louisiana feel to it. Upper East is the new kid on the gentrified block, so expect to pay more for worse service even if the food is better quality. Pick your poison.
