Yummmmmmm I've been going here for about two years now when I get that Greek craving. I'm writing this review now because I had a bout with a really bad flu, and Campbell's soup wasn't doing it. The souvlaki plate had grilled chicken, pita bread, tzatziki, onion and tomato and lemon wedge. The grilled chicken had a slight burnt smell and the bread was a bit hard. The tzatziki was really good. The soup had a good consistency and had a nice flavor and there was a large amount of fries. The loukoumades was good and it was the first time I tried the dish. I have dined in here in the past - a few years ago. The food and service were terrific that time. Thinking about trying this place again and chose to try it for Friday dinner. Ordered at the store. Chicken Souvlaki and Gyro sandwiches. Had to wait for around 15 mins for them to ready the food. Took a brisk walk around the complex and the food was ready by the time I was back. They have added their special hot and yogurt based sauces. After so many years, this place hasn't lost its charm. The Chicken Souvlaki was too good. Really delicious. The chicken was well marinated and cooked to the perfection. It was tender and juicy. With veggies and the feta in it, damn good. The gyro sandwich was better than I expected. Again have to mention the preparation of meat; that made big difference and more flavor to it. Absolutely loved the food. So happy that I decided to try this place again. Staffs were friendly. Covid protocols are followed. They have no-contact payment options available as well. There are couple of other busy businesses around, parking is a little tricky. Yummyyyness!!! The food here is amazing. And make sure to ask for extra yogurt sauce it's to die for. I put it on EVERYTHING!! I always order the same dishwasher one beef and one chicken kabob which comes with rice salad yogurt sauce and bread. Tge portions are very big and me and my husbad can split it anyday.. This is hands down my husband's favorite Greek place. We LOVE the Lemon half chicken. The sauce is the perfect mix of flavors and richness. The portions are enormous, and the service was excellent. I ordered via UberEats and everything was ready and on time. We've enjoyed the lamb skewers, seafood skewer, hummus, and tzatziki as well. Everything is seriously delicious. Try it all. It seems like people are really generous for the reviews here because the food is mediocre, and the ambience is too casual for the price. I ordered the 1/2 lemon chicken plate for about $18, I believe... It comes with rice, salad, and pita bread. I liked the salad dressing. The salad has tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, and cucumbers. The cucumbers were my favorite in the salad. The lemon chicken was kind of like a rotisserie chicken, and proportions were appropriate. I didn't think the meat was dry, which was what I was most afraid of. So that was a relief. The rice was good with the lemon chicken sauce. The pita bread was a hit or a miss. Some pieces were soft and moist, others were hard. I was starving when we decided to go here, and after eating my food, I was a good full. So I'm sure normal people would have leftovers. There's two sauces. One is kinda spicy, and I don't like spicy, but my boyfriend, who loves spicy, said it was only alright. The other sauce is amazing though, which is interesting because I'm not a real sauce person in general. But the sauce they have here is like if ranch, tarter sauce, and a thousand island dressing had a threesome and produced another sauce. It's super good!! I definitely recommend the white sauce they have here. My boyfriend ordered the salmon plate. It comes with rice, salad, pita bread, and this refreshing yogurt thing on the side. My three star rating comes from mostly my boyfriend's dish because the salmon was the driest thing. First time I came here I was served the wrong order and didn't enjoy it so I didn't come back for months. Man was that a mistake. I gave Mikonos Grill a second chance a few months ago and it's been my favorite Mediterranean food in the area ever since. Their beef and chicken plates are incredibly flavorful and I always order a large hummus that I put on everything I eat until I run out and order mikonos again. My daughters doctor is right around the corner from this place and we had a late appointment to other day so we decided to have "happy hour" and dinner here. What really drew me to this place was their happy hour sign in the front that you can see from the Main Street. I kept bugging my husband that we should go and we finally did. Upon arrival, the cashier was very friendly. Only 3 tables were occupied and looked like a slow evening. When we finally found out what happy hour was - it's literally $3.75 bottled beers. -_- I was really hoping for something a little more than that. My husband and I shared the salmon plate and got 2 sides. We got rice and fries. We also ordered a side of hummus with pita and an extra side of tzaziki. If I knew that the plate already came with tzaziki and pita, we would've just ordered a side of hummus. Everything was delicious! Salmon was fresh, rice was tasty, and the hummus was good. As I sit here and wait for my takeout, I realize I've never written a review. Maybe it's because I'm selfish and don't want to share this gem. I've only ever had the regular and super souvlakis here. And they're all amazing. That and add on an order of the Greek fries and you'll have the best meal. I always order the lamb souvlaki. Lamb is truly a love it or hate it meat. So, if you don't love it you can also choose chicken or steak. There are a ton of other menu options that include all of the traditional Greek fare. Lastly, save room for the Greek fries. They're like garlic fries but even better because there's feta cheese crumbles mixed in. I almost never get them nowadays as I'm not a spring chicken anymore and am more conscious about how much I'm eating at once. But, if I'm eating with a few people, I do love sharing it so that I can have a few bites. I smell a ton of different things being prepared and they all smell absolutely magical. I used to come here a lot, but never took my daughter here so I figured she should try it. We ordered a gyro and a side of falafels. The gyro is huge! Lots of gyro stacked in there, however the tzatziki sauce was sparse. They used to allow us to get as much tzatziki sauce as we want, but now they charge extra for a tiny container of it. I think it is $1 or $2 extra. A bit steep for sauce they used to provide for free. My daughter loved the gyro, however she would have loved more tzatziki sauce. The falafel side comes with 6 falafel balls on a bed of greens with hummus. My daughter did not like it much. She felt there was a hint of spice to it. The falafel is nicely fried up, however it would be better with tzatziki sauce added as well since these falafel balls didn't have much flavor imo. We may come back again. After the game we were looking for a place to eat. There are so many Asian restaurants that we needed a change. We love middle eastern/greek food and using Yelp, we found this restaurant. Parking is scarce. As you enter the drive way. The restaurant is on the left with maybe 10-12 parking slots. The three slots at the end, by the restaurant, are 20 minute parking only. You order and pay for your meal at the counter and they bring the food out. My chicken plate had a good amount of Greek salad, two kebabs of chicken on a bed of rice with tzatziki sauce and pieces of pita bread. Chicken was so tender and flavorful and the Greek salad was fresh and well seasoned. Loved it. My wife had the gyro sandwich which was loaded with a generous portion of meat. It comes with like 5 pieces if pita bread, tzatziki sauce (refreshing cucumber, yogurt, garlic sauce) which I like to dip the pita into, a skewer with maybe 6 giant DELICIOUS juicy pieces of chicken, and your choice of 2 sides (soup, salad, fries, rice). Definitely recommend the fries, they're thicc and crispy and perfectly seasoned, not too salty! I also get the salad which is delicious and fresh, comes with tomato cucumber lettuce olives onions and feta cheese. Personally, i ask for the salad without the cheese because the flavor is toooo strong and I am plain jane who likes eating tofu out of the carton. They have some sauces at the table, one is orange and hot, and the other one is delicious!!!! Idk what is is but my fries and chicken like going swimming in that sauce. You sit at any table with a number and they bring out the order for you! Probably like 10-15 minute wait for the food depending on how busy it gets. It wasn't rememberable to write anything good about it, and well you are probably wondering "why the hell is she writing about this restaurant now? Here's why. My job today, ordered from this restaurant. I was like Eh, I don't really want anything from here. So I figured why not. I choose to get two dishes: Deep Fried Calamari ($9.25) and the Dolmathes (5 pieces for $7.00) Now my company ordered it through Doordash......so I can't blame them for the food prep. I can.....however, blame the food prep on Mikono's Grill. First and foremost, let me say this.....I DO UNDERSTAND that due to Covid, a lot of businesses were hurt and affected by the pandemic.....it's one thing to jack up the price (aka gouge) and it's another thing to give old food out. Yes, old food!!! Let me show you the following pictures, as we all know--A picture is worth a thousand words! How can you justify charging $9.25 for the Calamari that was sparse AND SERVED on a bed of ROTTEN lettuce????? The dolmathes 5 count was a good amount but for $7.00 AND THAT TOO was served on a bed of rotten lettuce. My husband works as a San Francisco Police Officer in the Mission District and the mom & pop corner store with a delicious deli inside and they serve Dolmas and they serve 6 counts for $5.00 and its very delicious AND NOT SERVED on rotten lettuce. I was scared to eat the Calamari and the Dolmathes today from Mikonos Grill. If they serve it on rotten lettuce---whos to say the food itself is bad/left out spoiling/days old.......especially since its seafood (Calamari). In my whole life of living in Milpitas, I can't believe it took me so long to finally try this place, and I'm most certainly glad I did! This was a good choice for take-out for dinner. If there's one thing that can sum up the food at this place, it is HUGE PORTIONS. Continued to eat leftovers the next day! We ordered a bunch of items including a fried fish plate, Maho mahi plate, super gyro sandwich, falafel sandwich, and side hummus with pita. My favorite things that I tried were the gyro and falafel sandwich. The meats in the gyro were delicious and had a melt in your mouth tenderness. Produce toppings and tzatziki sauce were very refreshing. The fishes were decent, but felt like they were missing just a little something. Fried fish was pleasantly moist and crispy. The sauces definitely made up for the flavor on the mahi. Similar feelings towards the hummus. The hummus had very nice and creamy texture, but lacked something in flavor. This was my first time getting food at Mikonos Grill and I already know I'll be a regular after the amazing meal I had! I ordered takeout off of the yelp Eat24 option, which was also a first for me! It said my food would be prepared between 10-30mins, which was a large time gap. But luckily I had a 20min drive and my food was ready when I arrived. I had to wait in the normal line to pick-up my order. I know some places have a specific location to pick up takeout orders, but this place didn't. Luckily I wasn't in a rush. This location is located right off the freeway in a small plaza that has surprisingly plenty of parking. I came on the weekend, so I wouldn't be surprised if parking gets bad during lunch time on the weekdays. I was craving Greek food on a Sunday after class and lots of Greek places are apparently closed on Sunday as I learned. I was so happy I found this place was open and drove a good distance just to fulfill my craving. I wasn't let down! On to the important part. The food! I believe I paid around ~$16 for my gyro plate. Which comes with the gyro of course and two sides. I got the rice and upgraded my fries to Greek fries for +$2. I'm so glad I upgraded to Greek fries because they were SO good! The seasoning was amazing as the delicious flavors explode in your mouth. The gyro also had sooo much meat on it! They aren't skimpy on the protein or their seasoning/sauce like some other places tend to be. Every penny here was well spent and I am beyond excited to try other items off their menu! read more

MY GO TO for a quick late night grab and go! Such a good local joint in Milpitas!!! The owner is super nice and the food is always consistently delish!!! Yes prices have gone up from before, but that makes sense with literally everything going up in the area. Let's dig in: (1) Chicken Souvlaki Plate - comes with (sadly only) one skewer, BUT one damn tasty, juicy AF skewer! Loaded with hella rice, a side greek salad, soft warm fresh pita, side of red onions/tomatoes, and their bomb house cucumber yogurt sauce. You can also get their regular yogurt and spicy sauce, but watch owwww the spicy sauce is freakn FIRE! (2) 1/2 Greek Lemon Chicken Plate - GIGANTICCC and well worth it! The chicken is drowned in their very intense lemony sauce if you get it for here, when you get it togo - they pack that intense sauce on the side...which I prefer. The Chicken is tender, juicy, and falls apart beautifully. Also comes with a hefty load of rice and a side salad. HOLY FREAKIN JESUS!!! I was recommended this place by a friend, he said it was the best mediterranean food ever. I finally got the chance to try this place, and I was blown away how amazing it was. Even the customer service was bomb!! Came here with a friend, we ended up getting a beef and chicken salad with falafels. My friend asked them to split it for us, at first the guy offered to give us an extra plate. But we insisted they do the splitting for us. He ended up agreeing to it, gave us our water cups and we proceeded to sit down at a table. We waited about 5 mins and the food arrived. I was starving! Everything was split up, even the falafels we ordered. The first thing I tried was the falafel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE their falafels!! It was fried to perfection, crispy crunchy with out that burnt taste (like some other places I've tried) the inside was nice and moist. It tasted sooo good with the hummus that was provided with the pita bread. The MEAT: beef was pretty good dipped with their hot sauce and white sauce. Awesome gyros sandwiches. They pack it real big so you can't even pinch the top. It's more like a boat. The sauce that comes on the side is awesome too. One sandwich is good for a meal. You can get some fries, but with takeout it can get a bit soggy. Be sure to toast them up in an air fryer or something. They have a wide variety of dishes and kebabs to satisfy a lot of different tastes and diets. Chicken kebabs can be a bit dry sometimes. Hit or miss. I'll still come back for gyros. read more

This review is going to be for their $20 family meal. It has a couple pieces of their lemon chicken, flat bread, a cup of the lemon chicken flavored broth??, and rice pilaf. The chicken is so flavorful. Mikonos definitely does not skimp on the spices. They always give a TON of chicken so this order actually lasts me a few days. The bread is great when it's fresh. I like to dip it in the lemon chicken broth while I eat lemon chicken. The rice pilaf is where it's at. I can eat this rice itself without the chicken. I usually eat all the rice first since it's that good. Lately I've been ordering the $20 family meal plus another order of the rice pilaf just so I can enjoy more rice! Authentic Greek flavors are poppin' and the menu has some pretty awesome variety to satisfy whatever you're craving - shrimp, fish, steak, fries, falafels, gyros, burgers, - and you can get it how you like it - wrapped, fried, grilled, in a salad etc. GYROS SALAD (5/5) The meat is sliced from the vertical rotisserie thing lol, you know what I'm talking about. I have a thing for that meat - it's a mix of seasoned beef and lamb and it's served over a chunky mix of salad greens. They had a yogurt/herb sauce on the plate that was so good I could almost order it as a smoothie! :) LAMB SALAD (5/5) Same deal as the Gyros Salad except with the lamb. My wife also enjoyed it. FALAFELS (5/5) Wow. Addicted to these. Hard and crunchy on the outside and soft, earthy green and fluffy on the inside. Full of flavor. Some of the best falafels I've had. I could eat these everyday - and that tahini-laced dipping sauce is on point! Oh, and the FRIES (5/5) are great here. We didn't get them yesterday but they are dangerously good - always served fresh, hot, crispy and caramelized just perfectly. Staff is friendly too. There's nothing to complain about this place and when I feel like that, it's five stars for sure. Highly recommend especially if you have a thing for Mediterranean food and flavors.
