Mediocre gyro that will hit the spot if you're in the area. Staff is friendly and you can tell by the patrons coming in and greeting the workers. Bathrooms are clean as well as the tables (as far as I can tell). There was someone wiping 'em down when I walked in. Got the beef super gyro plate and opted for Greek fries and salad. I ordered to dine in. Oh lord the gyro was the pita stuffed with meat. Downside: the toppings and tzatziki sauce was lacking and the greek fries weren't worth the extra charge because the spices were still raw, so it wasn't pleasant eating a grainy mixture of whatever they season it with. I didn't touch 'em after the first couple of fries. Salad dressing was begging for seasoning and it was very oily. I used the tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta to eat with the gyro since it was lacking. Didn't touch the lettuce because that's what was seeping all the oil. I asked for more tzatziki, it costs $2.50 for a container that doesn't look like the price is justified, especially when you see someone sitting next to you who has it slathered onto their meal. Boo. They didn't offer any spicy sauce, but I saw togo containers of it at the register where the food is picked up. While paying for the extra tzatziki I asked if I could have one and they said yes. Sauce was not Mediterranean style and tasted like in between of Mediterranean and a taqueria style hot sauce. The consistency was very watery, but the flavor was there. Mikonos quality and service has been going downhill over the years. First started coming in 2022. Overt time I've become met with disappointment. Today I drove 20 minutes, order in person, and go 20 mins back home to find that they messed up my order, the food is cold, the portion size is not worth the price, and the service is not what it used to be. Located right off the freeway sharing the plaza of Yogurtland, Mikonos offers delicious gyros, french fries, lamb, and many other Greek favorites. The restaurant rarely ever fills up even on the weekends. There is a restroom for customers only. The style is more fast casual. You order at the counter, pay, take a number and have a seat. They will bus your dishes after you leave. The beef gyro itself is amazing. Just the sandwich itself is about $10. The pita bread is fresh, soft and pillowy. They add a generous serving of beef, feta crumbles, red onions and chopped tomatoes. You get so many different flavors and textures in each bite. Their yogurt sauce is absolutely addictive- super refreshing and light at the same time. I've had the salmon as well as the lamb plate here and nothing has disappointed me yet. Portion sizes are great and the food is pretty reasonably priced for the amount of food they give you. Expect to spend about $10-$15 each with the higher end being meat based plates. Definitely check them out of you're in the mood for Greek food. read more

Rack of lamb was on point. Perfectly cooked. Just wish they didn't put the sauce on top of the fries. Made it soggy. Service was quick and they were very nice. Since it is a small restaurant, it can get pretty loud with many people. I take many people as a good sign of a great restaurant with great food. Five stars for the Chicken Souvlaki and the welcoming customer service! Was looking for a quick bite in the area when we happened upon Mikonos Grill's Yelp page. After a quick scroll through the pictures we were sold! Ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Plate with rice and salad as my sides - an all around solid choice. The chicken was moist, juicy, and packed with flavorful spices. The sauce on top mixed with the rice - YUM! The salad was loaded up with olives and feta, exactly what you want! I didn't think I was that hungry when ordering, but before I knew it I had almost cleaned every bite of food off the plate! That's not to say it wasn't enough food...it was and I left absolutely stuffed! My dinning companion ordered the Lamb Souvlaki Plate and enjoyed her meal as well. Really a 4.5, but we'll round this place up. What delicious food. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, this spot is a no brainer for a quick, healthy pit stop for lunch or dinner. While the place is more fast/casual vs sit down, the food was plentiful and quality. (PS: Maybe 1 or 2 - 2 tops outside to eat, this is mostly for takeout or indoor eats). I went with the lamb souvlaki dish and it came with 2 sides - I opted for the rice and salad. The lamb was perfectly cooked and tasty. Priced at about $18, it wasn't cheap, but then again, it was delicious chunks of lamb. I'd much rather pay a few bucks more for quality eats. Service was great and the guy manning the front was quick with the suggestions which were lamb or salmon. For take out it's 5 stars. Okay fast casual Greek. Not a fancy sit-down place, closer to a Nick the Greek but offers way more and has way more indy vibes, which I'll take if given a choice. Order at a counter, get number, sit and they'll bring it out. Lots of take-out here so account for that if you're eating in, you may be in queue for something you can't see. But in my experiences here, they are very efficient and work like a machine. Which explains why they've been here a long time. I think the majority of people here order sandwiches or pita wraps, with gyro being the main draw. They also have chicken, beef, lamb souvlaki and even a basic burger and chicken sandwich. I came during the dinner hours, so I went a little more in depth. Avgolemono ($5.50/4*) This is the classic Greek Chicken and Rice Soup with a heavy lemon flavor. This soup is very comforting to me as my own culture does something similar flavor-wise. The soup is very smooth, with maybe just a few chunks here and there of shredded chicken. They achieve the creamy texture without dairy, but by having the rice breakdown much like congee, but this isn't sticky short grain rice. It is so lemony that it is kinda refreshing, but also strong enough that I'm good with a small cup. Probably couldn't do a full bowl. Greek Veggie Plate ($15.50/4.5*) Shared this like an app as I always am a fan of Mediterranean mezze platters. Love all the textures and flavors of all the different dips/spreads to go with pita alongside crisp falafels and chewy dolmas. The breakdown: Hummus (4*) Very soft and creamy, almost too loose as it'll drip if you stuff it into something. Good bean flavor with noticeable tahini. I don't mind a little more spice/garlic, but this is more for the purist, which I ain't. Babaghanoush (4*) Much more bold in flavor, also more lemon-y than I'm used to (maybe Greek influenced). Smoky flavor intact. Dolmas (5*) Probably the best dolmas I've ever had. Rice was tender even at room temp and the grape leaf wrapper didn't exude that strong briny flavor. Falafels (3.5*) These were just alright to me, a little on the dry side. But I'm super picky for falafels as my go-to is a Lebanese shop that makes them to order, so my standard is a bit high and biased. But to dip these into one of the dips to add moisture and lay on a ripped piece of pita, is something I wouldn't mind in repeating. Lamb Shank ($22/3*) I usually love braised lamb shank dishes...from any culture. Here the lamb part was ideal, a nice hunk of shank with bone, super tender that a press of a fork could pull the meat off the bone. But the sauce and overall seasoning is where this fell short for me. Quite underseasoned as I had to season it a lot at the table. And the sauce for me seemed like 85% pureed carrots, so it just gave me psychological flashbacks of spitting out my baby food. Now I've had pureed veggies that I've liked but most were seasoned by a skilled cook or chef so it exceeded my expectations. Here not, unfortunately. Lamb Rack ($26.50/4.5*) Yes this did start off from a 'rack' at some point, but the way it is plated and served is much closer to lamb chops, where it is sliced before cooking and each chop is cooked/grilled by the piece. Just a distinction I wanted to point out. The chops are heavily marinated and seasoned, unlike the lamb shank. Here the flavors explode in garlic, lemon and herbs, then the grill flavor kicks in. If you like lamb dishes, this will definitely hit the spot. Then they top with some creamy yet tangy sauce with a chili and garlic flavor, crazy good. Looks real messy but damn is this tasty. Their greek salad is super simple and I love it just for that. Their rice is suffice but can't touch the Mediterranean areas where basmati starts to make an appearance. Service is pretty nice, a young lady seems to run the register and the back of the house seems to cook, run the food, clear the tables. There's an older guy who is quite hands on, who I'm sure is an owner. Solid operation and will be a regular as it is now within one of my paths. Yay me!! read more

This place hit the spot! Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it had a few people in it. Ordered, sat at a table and my food was brought to me within 10 minutes. I got the Chicken Souvlaki Plate with salad and Greek fries (extra charge). The serving size was very generous so you definitely get your money's worth. Everything on the plate was SO good! The chicken was seasoned well, the fries had so much flavor, along with the pita bread being so soft. I also got a couple pieces of Baklava to go and the server said they were freshly made, which made me even more excited to try them. And boy, were they GOOD! My favorite and probably I've gotten it over 20 times now is the chicken souvlaki plate. The chicken is perfectly marinated and when you bite into it, it is juicy and tender. The chicken goes perfectly well with rice, salad or even french fries. I like to dip the chicken in the yogurt tzatziki sauce but I also love the ranch style salad dressing which I dip my chicken and also even my pita bread. Make sure you ask for the salad dressing. It is delish!!! I love how they toast the pita bread so it's nice and crispy. Plates comes with 2 fabulous sides and I highly recommend their avgolemono soup. You better come hungry and with a huge appetite here! I love Greek food and gyros, but the gyros here are on another level. They are very big and filling. They even offer super gyros, which is plenty of food for two people. I tried the chicken gyro and my husband ordered the super lamb/beef gyro. We also ordered side salads, baklava, and the grilled calamari. We were totally blown away by the flavor and the portion sizes. Everything we tried was very delicious and left us wanting more. I especially like the grilled calamari, which is a new item on their menu. I've never had calamari grilled before but absolutely loved that dish and the sauce they used on top. I was shocked by the size of the gyro, it was huuuge! The pita bread tasted warm and fluffy, very chewy. And omg, this place is very generous about the meats inside the pita bread, I couldn't even hold the gyro up because the filling/topping was really heavy. Their Greek fries were also tasty. A very mixed experience...The food was pretty good. We ordered gyros and calamari. I really like the gyros but the calamari, not so much. As you can see in the picture it is not the standard calamari. The place itself is very simple, maybe a little too simple. The seating is pretty uncomfortable. From what I could see, people in the kitchen weren't wearing gloves and neither were the waiters. Service was not so bad but they could really use some improvements in terms of hygiene. read more
