Haven't been to this mall in years, saw this place and had to stop by, bought a few of the island swirls. Got the ube, pandan and guava. It's so cute in its little box. You also get coconut sauce to pour on top. Its like eating a cinnamon roll but made of Hawaiin rolls, pretty good. My favorite out of the 3 is pandan and ube. Also got Musubi and Mochi. I want to go back and try the other goodies they have.

Mila's Kitchen Hawaii *April 5th, 2026 *3pm- Saturday *4 Stars Environment: *Inside Brea Mall *Indoor Seating Area *Aesthetic Decor *Multiple Services Offered Food/Drink: *Kona Coffee Tiramisu I was really excited to come across a Hawaiian-based store like this in my local ares, especially since most of the time I have to drive out to the South Bay Area to find anything remotely close to decent Hawaiian desserts/snacks. It was nice to see a spot locally that offers a variety of island snacks, coffee, and candy all in one place. I decided to try the Kona coffee tiramisu, which was beautifully presented and not overly sweet. The sweet treat was definitely nice to have after a long day at the mall, although I personally would have loved a slightly stronger coffee flavor. One small downside was that I was hoping to find li hing mui powder, but when I asked the cashier, he didn't seem to know what I was referring to. Hopefully that's something they can carry in the future. Overall, it was a great experience and a fun find. I'd definitely come back to try more items and explore what else they have to offer.

Great service. Store is located on the second floor by Nordstrom. They have desserts, poke and a wall of snacks. There was a back room that they will be hosting classes there. So fun. Great addition to the mall.

Edit: because I can't reply, when I first mentioned I was just back from HI, I meant I was looking for the "flavors" not the food; and as someone who eats and travels a lot for food, specifically cinnamon rolls and donuts, I know my textures for bread. The flavors were awesome, the issue was the texture, just had to clear that up. BUT, I failed to mention, the hubby liked the poke bowl, so there's that. Thanks for the reply! *** Fresh from a recent Oahu visit, I was SO excited for this place to open and I wanted to love it SO BAD - but, alas, no. I mean, it was ok. But JUST ok. I bought a pandan swirl, a warm swirl, a guava loaf of bread, a poke bowl, and a banana pudding- $62! Again, willing to pay the price for the flavor, but both "swirls" AND the guava loaf was so D-R-Y, like stale bread stuck to the roof of your mouth dry. The drizzle for the top of the swirls, AMAZING, and THAT made it slightly edible- but I was so sad it wasn't something to just be devoured. The girl helping was great!! Wonderful demeanor and knowledge etc, the woman behind her wasn't so nice... idk who she was, but she was definitely a "boss" of some sort, and was very short and rude. I wish they served coffee or something and maybe a small table or two, might have helped with the ambiance and taste - just a thought. At least the container is super cute

I haven't been to the Brea Mall in years, but we made a special trip just to visit Milas Kitchen--and it was 100% worth it! Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. I found the most beautiful sign for my home, and the butter mochi was absolutely delicious. You can really tell there's so much heart put into everything they offer. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday (she specifically wanted the butter mochi!), and they went above and beyond by gifting her a free lei--such a sweet and thoughtful touch. I'm already looking forward to coming back, especially to check out their kids' classes and other activities. This place is truly something special!

I visited this store at the mall last Saturday after noticing the large crowd and customers leaving with well-packaged boxes. The concept initially seemed appealing, it's a boutique-style grocery store featuring Hawaiian treats, along with charcuterie boards and other workshops. During my visit, I interacted with one of the associates who was professional, friendly, and attentive. Based on that interaction alone, the customer service seemed promising. However, my experience changed after speaking with who appeared to be the owner, identified as Jamie on her name tag. While I was initially open to conversation, the discussion quickly became unrelated and excessive, covering topics that had nothing to do with the business or customer experience (or maybe I didn't really care about The Rock and Jason Momoa). Although I remained polite and engaged, it became clear there was a lack of awareness in maintaining a professional and customer-focused interaction. More concerning was the abrupt shift in attitude at the end of the conversation. The demeanor became noticeably dismissive and unwelcoming, which created an uncomfortable impression as a customer. I barely posted a comment for a store but I hope this will help with improving when they just opened and I just saw a comment mentioning about this lady's attitude too! In terms of the products, the poke was well-prepared and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the desserts did not meet expectations, they tasted artificial, particularly the "island swirl." Additionally, the spam musubi was disappointing in both portion and value. The slice of spam was EXTREMELY THIN (approximately a fraction of a standard portion), making the $6 price point feel unjustified. I will include the pictures of their beautiful swirls (IMPRESSIVE WITH THESE), I think you all should come try out their workshops and other Hawaiian treats. Everyone is different so this is just my opinion.

Really neat Hawaiian specialty store with grab and go snacks and Hawaiian products. Snacks include mango with li hing mui and Kona chips. The staff is really friendly and they have grab and go snacks like poke of the day, spam musubi, specialty cakes and cookies. BTW, their banana pudding is really good. Has a lot of banana and the cream is really smooth and not too sweet. They offer special Hawaiian classes for small and larger private groups in the back of the store. Ask for Jamie, "the queen" to Hawaiian royalty.

This is such a wonderful place for all of the islanders that are missing home. They offer a wide range of island desserts, including a delicious banana puddings, island swirls, and premium box cake puddings. We had the ube island swirl, strawberry guava premium pudding box cake, plus the poke of the day. The poke was the perfect amount and was served with furikake chips from Kona, HI. Everything was ono (delicious), the staff was welcoming and friendly, and the space itself was gorgeous. I noticed that they also sell pantry items (li hing mui candies and other island treats), fresh flower lei, and lots of other island goods. They also have lots of community workshops coming up and I can't wait to check those out. Will be back with my ohana to try out more of the menu!

I basically only did my reconnaissance and research for this store to see what this location offered; due to friendliness and welcoming greeting I received I was very impressed and will definitely return to try their authentic Hawaiian snacks and desserts!! As I've shared on Social Media, a new and exciting Hawaiian experience in Brea!! Mahalo and aloha!!

Butter Moci (what's left of it hehahe)

Today I was at the Brea Mall and came across this place, decided to go in and check it out. WOW the butter mochi was so frickin delish!! Also, the banana pudding yummmm!! I will definitely be stopping by again!! Glad I stumbled upon it!!! Sooooo good!!! You won't regret it!!! It is a cute & ver clean store. The guy that works there was very helpful and answered all my questions about what I was buying!! Very nice! You will not regret stopping by and buying the pudding or especially the butter mochi!!! Yum :) oh also the Kona Chips are very good, they taste very light and not greasy! Seems like they can be very addictive.

The shop itself was very clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating. Even the bathroom was clean, which always stands out to me. They had 18 flavors available during our visit, including several vegan options, and it looks like they rotate flavors often based on all the flavor signs down the hallway. I also liked learning that their original Yorba Linda location is where all of the ice cream is made from scratch. Definitely makes me want to check that one out next. That said, Cece made the whole experience. We told her it was our first time and she was so friendly, patient, and welcoming from the jump. She let us try multiple flavors, gave us recommendations, pointed out the popular picks, and never once made us feel rushed. That kind of service really sticks with you, especially at a place with a lot of tempting options. She made the experience feel fun, easy, and genuinely hospitable, so shoutout to Cece for making a first visit feel like we'd been there before. We ended up doing the flight of 6 mini scoops to share, which was perfect for first-timers. We tried mint chippy chip, salted caramel, nana's banana pudding, Irish coffee, pot o gold, and Turkish pistachio. Great flavors, clean space, and excellent service. Blue Scoop is definitely worth checking out, and Cece absolutely made this visit a memorable one. Easy 5 stars.

The cheesecake was really good -- smooth, creamy, and nicely balanced in sweetness. The cloud cream cake with strawberries was light and fresh, and the milk bread loaf is incredibly soft and perfect to bring home for toast or breakfast. One of our favorites was the cinnamon twist. I legit am on my third day (in a row..don't judge me) of stopping by to order the pineapple Alice. I love me some pineapple & coconut any day, so this drink was a winning combo for me. In a nutshell, it's Greek yogurt blended with fresh pineapple, and topped with their house-made coconut whip. First time I got 50% sweetness level, which is good, but being a fruity smoothie, I would have preferred it a lil sweeter, thus 2nd & 3rd time around, I learned my lesson and got 80%..and it was perfect! Trust..it wasn't overly sweet at all. It was dreamy heaven. I happened to be in the area, getting a tattoo and wanted to refuel before I trekked the trafficky drive home to Irvine (UGH..at 2:30 pm on a Wednesday, no less). Super thankful, I discovered this new looking Brea location (on State College Blvd ~ right near the freeway entrance) and it didn't have a crazy wait/line. The store was clean, w/ minimalistic neutral decor..loved the chill aesthetic vibe. The cute wooden pillars as you enter was interesting, but caught me a bit off-guard, as it was right in front of the pick-up area. You have to explore further inside the store to the order line. So I think people prefer to go to other boba shops that offer at least a small seating area with a table. That was disappointing to see when I walked in. As for flavor... my drink tasted powdery and warm. The boba pearls were a bit stale. I wont be coming back. There are plenty of other boba locations that offer much higher quality drinks and the price point is exactly the same.
