Cute little boba shop in South end. This location is one of 4, I believe around Charlotte. They have a TON of options so no matter what you have a taste for you will find something you like. They offer many fresh fruit teas, milk teas. They offer soy milk and oat milk alternative milk options and from 125% to 0% sweetness. The inside is small being able to fit 4 at a table and 3 sitting at a bench. Go on a nice day and you can sit outside at their table. The staff was nice enough lol. I love Milk Cha Cha and it had been a while since I checked them out. This trip I tried the taro slush and it was divine. This was my first time ordering this drink and I'd definitely get it again. It wasn't too sweet which I loved. I also tried their strawberry matcha latte and it wasn't that great, unfortunately. Maybe it was an off day. The boba is delicious, fair priced, and great size. The store is clean, well organized and decorated. The staff (Geraldine) was rude, snarky and treated my family, who are new to boba, like they were stupid for asking questions (like what makes the tornado boba different from the classic or slush?). I came here on a Sunday night after finding several other boba shops were closed. This is the second time I've been here and I've also ordered via Uber Eats a handful of times. The inside is underwhelming, even dirty--Dirty seats and dust-laden shelves abound. The service was also underwhelming and the employees seemed ready to go home. Even still, I ordered the fresh grapefruit green tea. According to the bobarista, these teas are made blended which I really don't remember from previous orders but I said what the heck. If you don't like tea this blended tea may be for you. As a tea drinker, I felt that the blending watered down the tea and made the grapefruit super pungent as the fruit rinds were also blended. One of the things that makes this boba shop different from the others is that the fruit teas are blended drinks. I got the fresh mango tea with passion fruit jelly (0% sugar). While I did like my drink, I think I prefer the traditional non blended versions of fruit teas with fresh fruit chunks. read more

Fresh fruit teas is hard to come by and so when Milk Cha-Cha popped up on the list of places to try in Charlotte and so we went as a date. Note that when it's fresh fruit, it's not quite what you think. I thought it was going to be fresh fruit in the tea, but it was more like a slushy? I do like the fact that the fruit was fresh, but I wished it was more of just tea and then fruit instead of it mixed in. Service was great as we were explained what type of tea, but I guess the only thing that wasn't mentioned was that it was blended rather than just tea itself. I enjoyed the interior decor. It was simple. If you're looking for parking, you can park on the street or the parking garage. There's spaces for retail parking, but it is used for those who live there. We were in town visiting for a musical at bluementhal, Service wasn't great, I'm well-versed in the world of boba tea but my friends weren't, they clearly had A LOT of questions and nobody behind the counter made any attempt to talk to us until I walked up to the register to order, even then they still said the bare minimum, maybe they were just having an off day. Great location. Cozy and quaint. Cute little sitting area outside. Inside was cute and great for pictures. The service was good. The lady was nice and gave recommendations on favorites. I tried the Mango tea with plain Boba. It was just ok. The Mango was bland and tasted like pureed baby food. They blend the Mango to a puree and you don't taste any chunks or peices of Mango at all. I would go back, but I'd definitely try a different option since there are so many to choose from. read more

Came for the BTS cup sleeve collab! Milk Cha Cha is one of my favorite boba spots in Charlotte. I love their yakult options, which is the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I saw that the south end location was doing a collab one weekend and had to snag a sleeve for my friend who is army. So cool that they do collab for cup sleeves. I never thought this would happen in NC, since I came from ATL and CA. So happy it is . I also really love this location because it's so walkable, so if you want to take your boba to go, you can walk along the rail trail OR if you're looking for a park there is one that is a 10min walk away, Latta Park. Great for kiddos! Staff are always nice and helpful, they even asked if I wanted to help them pick out the kpop playlist for the day. So nice! Also lots of cute merch you can pick up for yourself or a loved one. My older cousin picked up a couple things for her kids while she was there. Definitely recommend a stop through! read more

Grand opening today and (I think) I was the first customer :-) nice to have this south end location since it's much closer to me vs. the other two stores in Charlotte. Also a great addition to the south end restaurant portfolio. It's not a big store, more on the "grab and go" side. Menu is consistent with other locations as well, and I ordered my all time favorite - Darjeeling milk tea, no ice no sugar - hope it's as healthy as I thought so. Tasty as usual. Super friendly and fast service with a quaint shop and fantastic location. The menu has some interesting choices, but we went with the classic brown sugar, Boba milk tea. To be honest, I didn't love the drink. It was extremely syrupy and not mixed well. I found myself moving the straw up and down inside the cup, and in attempt to mix the ingredients together and make it palatable. The drinks were good but nothing memorable. I would come back if I was craving anything and wanted a close option. The employee who was there didn't offer any spectacular service. She was very quiet and had headphones on while texting on her phone. As someone who works in costumer service her customer service would be unacceptable. I still tipped as I understand what it's like but no need to be so cold to customers. I would suggest training employees to be more personable. The environment was cutesy and they offer games to play which is also a plus if you wanna come in and hang out. Only downside was the customer service from the employee. read more

This is my favorite boba place but boy I can't stand horrible service and then flipping a screen around for a tip.. came in and got greeted by no one. The employee stood behind the POS and stared at me until I spoke first. My friend asked what he would recommend as she's never had boba and he said "brown sugar".. didn't explain anything else... actually that's legit the only two words he said the whole time we were inside. For you guys to be new in the area, the service is going to matter more than a free mochi for a five star review. The staff are somewhat friendly but not super helpful or outgoing. The inside is very small and seating is very limited. Their outside seating is comprised of 2 very small tables, spaced very close to each other which tends to be a little uncomfortable. The drinks are always good and I do enjoy the location. read more

My favorite local boba biz in Charlotte! My favorite is the mango Yakult with boba. The Yakult is my favorite and definitely unique flavor for boba. There are a variety of different fruit combos with Yakult. I used to frequent the South Park location, which was a bit of a drive for me, until I found out a South End location opened. So happy that they are expanding! Love that you can adjust ice and sweetness levels of your drink. Similar to their other locations they have cute merch, my cousin grabbed a boba plushie for her daughter. I also love their cute neon signs, shout out to this locations Blackpink reference, and that they have some games you can use with friends while you chill inside. This location is also super walkable and close to all the poppin' places in South End. Lots of street parking and a parking garage around the corner. You can also hop right off the light rail and grab a boba while you take a stroll around the neighborhood. Highly recommend to anyone wanting delish boba in Charlotte. read more
