Went to get a SMOG test done and like a dummy, totally forgot to bring my DMV papers to make the process more smooth. Have no fear though, they have great customer service. Pros: -I called to make an appointment but they had same day availability. I was in and out in no more than 20 minutes. -Great pricing -They know their business and they are efficient. Let's be honest, no one wants to do adult things like get a SMOG test, but they don't waste your time here and are efficient. Con: -Thankfully there weren't too many cars that needed to be worked, but I can see this place getting packed. The lot is small. Do not give these folks your business - Thomas is extremely rude and confrontational during COVID - refusing to wear a mask and argumentative until FINALLY after much urging put a mask on. Charged $88.00 to SMOG my Truck which failed - I think they spent a grand total of 5 minutes with the truck. Thomas spent more time arguing with me about why he didn't have a mask on than working on the truck. Agreed to re-test but mentioned there would be an $8.99 fee to do so. I work with a non-profit that generously paid for my smog as a surprise after I fixed the problem. When I called for a partial refund given the tough times of COVID I was met with more rudeness and told "They did not do this" when I asked 'Why? since you've only spent 5 minutes with the truck' he rudely started arguing with me, again! When I took a closer look at my bill I saw that re-test was free so not only did Thomas not wear a mask, was confrontational when I asked him to do so, charged me $88.00 to spend 5 minutes with the truck he then told me it would b $8.99 to recheck when in fact they don't charge for a re-test. I don't always rate gas stations but I have to give these guys props for having good prices. No matter what anyone says there are many gas stations that seem to crank up the prices and although most people in the bay area seem to put up with it, its still wrong. The fact that one station can be so much cheaper while another one across the street or down the block can be 40 cents more across the board tells me there is a lot more flexibility in how they charge than what they claim when the news talks to them. Anyway this station has consistently lower prices, friendly staff, access to bathrooms without begging for a key attached to a hanger or some nasty PVC. I had a nail in my tire which America's Tire wouldn't patch (too close to the edge). I came here to see if they could plug the tire. They said that they could but couldn't do it at the present time since it was past their closing time. This isn't the nicest looking place to get an oil change, but it is a way better place to go than you would think. The oil change took less than thirty minutes and the mechanics helping me out were very friendly. The seating area is fine for waiting for your car to be finished. Let me tell you how glad I am to have found this great place. I was having brake issues and I had took it to another place in San bruno that has the best Yelp reviews but the price was outrageously high. I knew I could find another place that would be able to do the same job at a lower cost. And thank goodness I looked because I came across this shop. I was able to call in and make appointment to come bring it in the same day. Mr. Lee (the mechanic) and the staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining to me what I needed done. I was able to get the same work that the other shop was going to perform at about half the price. They even changed my 3rd brake light at no charge. I drove to numerous shops at first, but Millbrae 76 stood out the most because I came here last month to have a nail in my tire removed and repaired, and they fixed it on the spot! The quoted price for my Volkswagen's service was very reasonable. The shop managers were extremely friendly. And the location was perfect--tons of restaurants to grab a bite while they work on your car. They finished my car in a timely fashion, and there weren't any overly-pushy add ons like other mechanics in Los Angeles. Thomas made a few conscientious recommendations for future repairs based on what he saw during the service. There was no pressure. I'll definitely be coming back to consider those recommendations. Just got my smog check today and I'm really glad I came here. This was my first smog check for my car so I was unsure of what to expect. I made an appointment so I didn't have to wait. The price for a STAR certified smog check here was $33 and they even helped me send the certificate to DMV too! The price was the most competitive pricing offered as other places I've checked were way more expensive. I love how transparent they are with the pricing, so much in fact that it's displayed on a large banner outside. Thomas was great help and got me in and out of there within 20 minutes! My local choice of gas stations. It boasts the lowest price of the top-tier gas stations in the area, meaning Valero and Arco down the street may have lower prices, but you won't catch me there. Conveniently located off Millbrae Ave. on the way to the freeway. If only rental car customers make the trek over the Millbrae Ave. overpass, they will see that they can save some $.20/gallon on their rental car refuel. But that's exactly why there are two gas stations before the overpass...to make a buck off the unsuspecting visitors . I've also visited them for tire troubles twice. First time, the guy pulled the nail out of my tire and showed me that it didn't puncture through. Simple, not overly friendly service, and I was out of there without owing him any money for the few minutes he spent to jack up my car to pull the nail out. Second time, they patched my tire. I wanted it patched from the inside to ensure a better seal for my expensive tires, so they took the tire off the rim and did the patch for the most reasonable price I found in the area. Other places didn't even want to patch my tire because it's more hassle for them. But hey, patching is a preferred repair method than plugging. read more

Total cost was only $33 including the certificate. What a great deal...so we decided to give a try. Compared with everywhere else, the cost is around $50 for Smog Checks.
