Roland referred me to a place to get a full CVT replacement for my 2015 Honda Civic. Price was beyond reasonable. Roland then met up with me to do maintenance for the rest of the car and now it runs like new! What sets Roland apart from everyone else is two things: 1. He's a mobile mechanic; if you got an emergency or need flexibility on location, he's your guy. He comes out to you. 2. He has YOU buy the parts, so money saved not being upcharged by the dealer/shops. You tell him the issue, he tells you what you need to get (including links to Amazon, rockauto, etc), and agree on the labor price I recommend his services to anyone that wants the flexibility and to go with someone knowledgeable/honest. To be specific, my 2006 Ford Escape had a cracked windshield wiper fluid reservoir and a loose hand brake. I asked to bring in a generic replacement reservoir ordered from the internet and they happily obliged, noting that they only accept generic parts that don't affect driver safety. Good! Was quoted $80 to install the reservoir and $50 to adjust the hand brake, and that's exactly what they charged me when I brought the vehicle in 5 days later. Turns out they also inspected my brakes (all good) and rotated my tires at no charge. Bonus! The repairs were made in two hours and I'm very pleased with the results.

I recently had to get some warranty work done on my ID.4 as the back window started "rippling" and distorting after only a couple of years, making rearview mirror images harder to see. Gena was able to get the work approved under warranty (it was an adhesive defect), made an appointment and brought the car in and the work was done in about an hour -- I can see clearly out the back window again. There's a deal till the end of the month for a free alignment if you purchase new shocks and struts from them with install. They use KYB struts and shocks, which is a highly reputable brand for those who are unfamiliar. For a daily driver, this is more than enough. I called Wednesday, was able to get scheduled in the following Monday, 5 days later. Dropped the car off at 8AM which took less than 5min. Got a call back around 2:15PM same day that my car was done. Picked it up, paid, and this process took less than 10min. The thing I love about C&T is how thorough they are, as mentioned earlier. They take the time to inspect the vehicle and note anything strange. This information is then passed onto the customer once they pick up their car. They even found a loose screw that was creating a small brake fluid leak in one of my calipers and they tightened and cleaned it up without my prior knowledge. Thank you so much! Even the slightest sounds the car makes, they will inspect and find the source without you having to ask. This is what the community needs, a great Toyota mechanic that is honest, straightforward, and thorough. Keep up the excellent work!

Pros-The manager and front office lady are very nice people and seem sincere. Cons-The nice people don't do the work. And the work is sloppy enough to get you killed. I brought my 2005 Acura here a few months ago. It needed a lot of work. Estimates kept changing during the course of the work. Finally, the tab came to $1200. Picked the car up, but had to bring it back because something got missed. Another $178. When I picked the car up after the second repair, there was a big black thumbprint left on the interior ceiling, and the center console contents were dumped and left spread all over the passenger seat. The thumbprint is permanent, but the car is running again and that's good. Nothing was missing from the console, so they must have been looking for the wheels locks or something. Mentioned the thumbprint, the console dump, having to bring the car back for a second time to Rob, the manager. Got a sympathetic response, but no other accommodation. A couple of months went by and then my wife needed an oil change for her Toyota and she went back to this same service station. She figured it was close by, she was in a hurry, and how much damage could they do with an oil change? Would you like to know how much? They got the oil changed, but after they rotated the tires, they FORGOT TO SCREW ON A COUPLE OF THE WHEELS. And then they put the hubcaps back on and presented the car for my wife to drive away. She picked me up and we got on the freeway heading home. We noticed the car was making a terrible sound when driven, and the sound seemed to be related to the wheels, so we pulled over and I popped off the hubcaps to look. I found several bolts that were so loose I could just turn them with my fingers. They were already halfway off. The wobbling of the wheels was making the terrible sound. They could have easily come off in traffic, on the freeway, etc. We went to a nearby service station and had the wheels torqued on correctly. The way they should have been in the first place. If your car has been in this shop, please do yourself a favor and check to make sure your wheels have been torqued on correctly, and that they got the oil drain plug back in correctly so you don't lose your oil. In fact, I'm afraid you probably need to check everything they've done. I know I will. read more

The Golden State Warriors of Automotive Repair! Mr. Le is the Kevin Durant of the shop--he's the most valuable player, i.e., the most knowledgeable and skillful mechanic (at the shop and beyond). Steve is the Klay Thompson because he is extremely reliable; you need a mechanic you can depend on. Socrates is like Andre Iguodala, an all around solid player with contributions that do not always show on the stat sheet. Lastly, the heartbeat of the team is Thomas, a.k.a. the Draymond Green of the shop. Thomas wrenches and takes care of all things customer-service related. I go to no other auto-repair shop. These mechanics are extremely hard working and honest. I highly recommend this shop--ask for Thomas! I recently picked up a used car that was neglected by the previous owner. This shop did a full maintenance on it and helped me return the car back on the road as a reliable daily-driver. After meeting Thomas and his crew for the first time in 2012, I no longer panic when my car alerts me that something is wrong (aka service engine soon). He said it would be about 20 minutes.. I thought about leaving, but was already there so waited. When it was my turn I moved my car into the directed space and asked the worker some questions to which he said he couldn't answer. I apologize for asking so many questions and explain to him that this was my first time needing to get my car smog so I was u aware of how it worked etc. He asked for the envelope that I was holding in my hand, and I handed it to him, which had my form for the DMV for this service and my husband Husband had stuck a coupon and there for another small place in case I had decided to go there. He kind of threw the other coupon at me telling me that that doesn't belong to him, and there was also a receipt I guess in the envelope from our Gardener that he also kind of shoved at me. I'm not sure why these two items in the envelope upset him so much since the envelope was mine to begin with, but it set him off and I was sent away to get my smog check elsewhere. I asked why he was giving me such a hard time and he wouldn't even answer me just told me to go somewhere else and said some unfriendly choice words towards me. The whole interaction was very strange and awkward. I'm not even sure exactly what happened to set him off. I can't help but think that me being female had something to do with it. I will never be back here nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there. It was the strangest and worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

Afterwards I got my free retest and passed in flying colors. Please note that this place can be busy at times but they do try to be efficient. Although this is not as cheap as the South Bay it's one of the better priced places in the peninsula. The location is in a Chevron gas station but it's not related to either the gas station nor the repair shop next door.
