I literally just left this place and let me say I have never been to a restaurant and been more disgusted by what I was served. There literally was not one thing salted on either my fiancé's or my plate, in fact there was more salt on the rim of my fiancé's margarita glass!! We first Ordered the wings and she brought out tenders so we sent those back, about 20 Mins later the wings come out with our main dishes which is kind of missing the whole point of it being an appetizer! Anyhow, I proceed to taste the wings (mango habanero) and there is literally no flavor even the blue cheese could not give it flavoring. I called to place an order for take out and was advised the only way to place an order is to come in and order at the bar...Are you kidding me? The whole point of ordering take out is so I don't have to wait for my food!...Not so I can come in & order the food and stand there at the bar for 20 mins or more while they are preparing it. I asked some of my co-workers at Christiana Hospital if they ever heard of a place doing this and they responded not only did they never hear of it, but that they would NOT be going to Miller Ale House if this is the case. We were regulars when the place first opened. The staff is friendly and attentive. Decent pricing and decent bar food. The food presentation doesn't seem too thought out sometimes. Their cooking of steak is not consistent, think it depends on the cook in the back at the time. Started going less and less after the quality of food went down, and it smells like they are cleaning the restaurant with smelly rags and dirty mops. Which needless to say is off putting. Suggestion for them to do more quality control checks to restore the quality that existed in the beginning. read more

Just finished the absolute most horrible meal and service ever! Order Thursday Night Special Prime Rib with a Cesar salad (extra charge) salad comes out very quickly looks good I take two bites server brings out my Rare PR. I said I would not accept it until I finished my salad or at the very least a few minutes from now. The Bartender made some comment about how fast they are in the kitchen. Well somebody should train the person sending out orders that a salad or appetizer to a guest means their entree has a delay before being served. Basic Kitchen operation. Anyway after I finish my salad faster than normal I wait for my meal to return in about ten minutes. The PR was cooked way past well done not the Rare I ordered. But no one came back to ask until I chewed this piece of leather and could not chew any more. This place cares nothing about the food and I understand it's a Corporate Chain and most don't do it well. But Millers Ale House you should be ashamed of what you sold me tonight. All I gotta say is WOWZA! This place is the cat's meow. We went on Friday night with a party of 10. Upon entering the restaurant, we were told that it would be a bit of a wait, which is to be expected for a Friday night. The hostesses were pleasant, took my name and my phone number and we were texted when our table was ready. We were sat and within minutes, we were greeted by two very friendly and personable servers who told our group the specials and promptly retrieved our drinks. If you are a beer lover, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! They have a selection for all tastes! We had questions about some of the seasonal beers on tap and our servers were able to cater our drink selections to what we were craving! OH! Did I mention $10 margarita pitchers?! Because they have those and they are absolutely wonderful. SANGRIA?! Yes, they have an option for pitchers- white or red. I'm really NOT kidding when I say this place has EVERYTHING! Ahem. A dream come true! Our servers suggested some appetizers for our table and oh boy, were they spot on! We had the chicken nachos (nachos piled HIGH with all your favorite nacho toppings and our server said "the chicken is marinated in salsa ::drooolllll!::"), potstickers- the sauce was SO tangy and delicious and the mozzarella "planks" (they're flat!) were hot and cheesy and pulled apart into an amazing marinara sauce. Seriously though. So cheesy. So delicious. THEN dinner! Our servers arrived shortly after our appetizers hit the table. They told us the specials for the evening and away, away we went. A few in our party had questions or were "torn between two" entrees. Our servers took the time out of how busy they were to assist us in navigating this menu! IT IS SO DIVERSE! Seriously. Again, when I say they have every option, for every taste, it is true! A few members of our group got the combo fajitas- steak was perfect, seasoning was perfect! AND they arrived to the table SIZZLING hot! One person had the blackened key lime salad which was BURSTING with flavor and fresh! I had the flat iron with boom boom shrimp- cooked perfectly and the shrimp was spicy and delicious! The veg medley? Holy wow. I had a loaded baked potato. Nothing else to say but ::drool::! Another member had fish and chips and had been to Great Britian and said "Oh my gosh! They're just LIKE I HAD OVERSEAS!" She was SO excited to find something comparable! And those are just the HIGHLIGHTS! When our food came out, our servers asked if we needed anything else and promptly returned with what we needed. Refills on drinks were quick and our servers were personable and made good conversation with our table- exactly what we needed for a friday night. Our servers suggested some homemade desserts before they left and said "Make sure you save some room!" Homemade ice cream cakes? Hot fudge brownies? Why yes. Yes, we will save some room. Our server even told us the story of how the captain jacks dessert came to be (and suggested a shot of baileys over it- um, yes please!) We ordered the desserts to split and weren't even upset that we did! They are so worth it! One of our servers even said, "I'm not a huge dessert fan, but I could eat our desserts any day, any time here" and boy, she was right! Did I mention that the managers visited our table several times throughout our visit? They were friendly, willing to get us anything we needed at the time, and it really made us feel that we were valued and appreciated. Not to mention, they were as personable as our servers and really made us feel welcome! Our bill was completely reasonable for 10 of us! And we had a wonderful time, laughing, enjoying food and our service. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK, if not make this our regular post- work meeting spot! Was there for dinner a few weeks ago, had to wait 45 mins to get a table. Now the server that we had she was great and the food was good. But the very bad part of the night was the table that they gave us was by the bar and a group of friends were at the bar and the kept coming closers and closer to our table and they were drunk. They really should not sit people at those tables or make sure that a group of people are not almost sitting on your table. Honest opinion? The food is overpriced. You don't get what you paid for and the manager is kinda rude. We came in today for dinner and i walked passed the huge open kitchen window that should make me feel more secure about how they prep my food and it doesn't. I saw many employees in the back not wearing any gloves. I walked passed the kiosks from the bathrooms an heard that they didn't have any gloves. I also heard the manager yelling at one of the employees. That's not something I want to hear while I'm trying to enjoy a nice meal out with my boyfriend. That's rude and disrespectful. Let alone disgusting that they aren't using gloves. I definitely do not want to go back there. My server was amazing. They all seem to work as a team and I understand it being a busy place. My 87 year old father and I started going to Miller's while my mother was in Christiana Hospital. It's become our favorite place. Best fish and chips around, bar none. Even beats Go Fish down in Rehoboth. You cannot beat their lunch specials. 75 different beers on tap. Prices are really reasonable ($19.99 for twin lobster tails vs. $30 at Red Lobster!) and the only thing I've had bad there was the lunch special tuna salad sandwich on a croissant. Too messy to even handle. Going to stick with the fish and chips or the meatloaf! Servers have been really great all the times we have been there. Highly recommend it. read more

Went to dinner on a Thursday night. Arrived at 5:15pm. Sat at the bar, my husband was already waiting for me. I sat for 15 minutes without the 3 bartenders noticing me and asking for my drink order. My husband had put an empty bottle on the ledge to indicate another round- that didn't work to help my cause either. I ended up waving my hands and raising my voice ( others at the bar were looking between the bartenders and me) trying to help! Husband ordered I got a water. Ate dinner here on 10-7-17, hostess/greeters were wonderful. Finally got seats at the bar and the bartenders, Tara and Dom, were on point! But this location still has a problem with the food delivery system, if you could call it a system. I watched my food come out of the kitchen, walk halfway around the inside bar, cross over to the outer bar, where it made a complete lap, and then it disappeared back into the kitchen. Finally got to where I was seated four minutes later. I had ordered the fajitas, so after their epic journey, they were no longer residing on a sizzling pan. My wife and I went there today, and the staff is uneducated and poorly trained, service was so bad, we almost left, took 30 mins to get drinks, and dinner was brought out before our appetizer. We did not get silverware or water at our table, this was our third time there and every time was a bad experience, i don't usually complain about restaurants, but I had to write a review, we will never go there again, trash workers and trash atmosphere. Not the best experience. First time in. We were seated quickly. Ordered drinks right away. 25 minutes later, all we had were initial waters that were brought to us. Waitress Tammy was apologetic (clearly not her fault). Received our drinks finally, let her know that the bar staff could use some of her enthusiasm. Appetizers were good and the kitchen had the orders out in good time. Entrees were not up to par. Burger was greasy, not with Correct add ons, and salmon was super dry. Received next round of drinks and mine had what looked like the top of a straw, chewed up and spit out, floating in it . Manager or bar manager came by to inspect and replaced my drink in a timely manner after someone told her it was a toenail lol! We were very patient and tried to be understanding. I do not think we will be back. It's a shame because the setting was nice and we would love to find a place that we can watch sports in and also have decent service and food. I know this place is new, but I was there with a party of 5 on a Thursday for lunch. Seated immediately and our server was very nice. However, I ordered a French Dip sandwich with no onions, the sandwich had onions all over it. They took it back and bought me a new one. Still had onions, but not as many. He offered to get me a new one, but we were running out of time since we had to get back to work. So I picked off the onions that I found and ate the sandwich. Not a good experience. Went there to celebrate a birthday with my husband. They had a gluten-free menu but hardly anything on it besides steak. Very disappointed that the ribs were not gluten-free as we had heard they were good. We can find gluten-free ribs almost in any restaurant we go to. Our waitress Ashley was on point and super friendly. After we ordered our food and received our drinks, the manager Ken came over and asked if he could move us to a different table because they had a large group coming in. My wife and I said no problem and we were moved to a nice table up front. We ordered the chicken chili nachos and a bacon burger to split. The nachos here are AMAZING and HUGE! Ashley did great by delaying putting our burger order in so we could have a chance to work on our nachos first. The burger came out and it was cooked perfectly and was just as we asked. My only minor complaint was the seasoning on the side of fries was a little heavy making them salty but they were still delicious. Ken came back as we were paying the bill and gave us a $15 gift card for allowing them to move out table. This is the type of service that will keep us coming back for years to come. It was our first time here because we arrived early enough to avoid the hour plus wait (just before 5:00 PM) . We had attempted two times before but the wait was just too long.The food and service were both excellent. We started with wings as an appetizer and were pleasantly surprised to find them freshly cooked and juicy, not pre-prepared and flash fried as most places do. Since we always thought this was more of a burger place we thought we would take a gamble and try real food. I had the Jambalaya and my wife had the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Both were extremely fresh and exceeded all expectations. Our server, April, was attentive, energetic, and very friendly. As we were leaving, we saw that there was a long line waiting to be seated. We still can't believe it is a chain restaurant. Very affordable. We wish it was a little less popular so we could come a little later and not have to wait an hour or more but if it was less popular it would be because the value and quality and value had changed.
