Great atmosphere and good food. Lots of lunch specials at great prices. This is not my first time here and certainly won't be my last. I originally ate here because of the beer menu. They have nearly 50 on tap. The food is really good. Today I ordered the "zingers" which ate hand breaded chicken tenders served like buffalo wings with sauce and blue cheese. They were really tasty and the hot sauce was actually hot. I also ordered a side of the loaded fries. They were also very good despite the fact that I'm not a big fan of seasoned fries. Miller's has redeemed themselves! Appears to be newly upgraded-decor and menu! Went during lunch with a party of 12 people! Our party was in and out within an hour and 15 minutes. Have not been to Millers for awhile as I have been out of town. Went for the prime rib as advertised in the email I received. We got there around 4:00 and were seated pretty quickly (even though the host had checked us in under wrong name not anywhere near close to ours). I'm so over this place. I swore off eating at this restaurant a few months back after the waitress completely ignored us and the manager didn't care that I had to hunt her down twice. The first time just to take my order. But I continued to do delivery as it is usually decent. Tonight's delivery was terrible. They just threw it together without a care for any type of accuracy. The wings and zingers were not sauced correctly, my steak on my steak fajita was rare not medium plus I paid for extra steak and didn't get it. The guacamole literally had no flavor. Not even salt. Just amazing!!! Mike is the best ever just an FYI! My mom had the mahi sandwich HOLY COW it was so darn amazing! Tender, grilled to perfection and a ginormous piece! He barely apologized, and simply said "oh, I'll take it off for you, we'll make you a new one" after assuring him I did not want another, they still charged us for the salad we had and our two iced teas. Miller's has been one of my favorite spots to watch football on Sundays since it opened, no matter who my server was. The food is great, the atmosphere is really fun with lots of TV's showing all the games, and the staff is very friendly. However, I am writing this recommendation to brag about Michael. This location is relatively close to our home. We were able to come here several times since they first opened and could see the steady decline in food prep and flavors . They do have a great selection of rotating brews and a good bar selection however the food has definitely been falling off. Just to be clear I can only speak on what we have had in the past in comparison with what we get now.... On that note I decided to order something a little off the regular menu and requested a vegetarian version of the fajita plate I was expecting everything as the beef or chicken with no meat... First time here and on my birthday, no less. Expectations were high. Our server, Lacey was spot on in every way. Engaging, knowledgeable, attentive, and most importantly to me, funny. He, along with Mike, made for an AWESOME birthday dinner. When Lacey found out it was my birthday, instead of embarrassing me (and everyone else) with the dancing, singing, "enthusiastic" staff, had several people come over individually and wish me a happy birthday. Nicely done. Onto the food. The calamari appetizer was lightly battered, flash fried, and really tender. It was served with a drizzle of a sweet, asian type sauce. It wasn't my favorite pairing but nothing could ruin the tenderness of that calamari. It also had shavings of cheese over top of it, which I found unnecessary. I prefer my calamari with just a squeeze of lemon. That being said, my son's mom doesn't even like calamari and ate half of it. My son @maybeaidan had the hot zingers (hand breaded chicken breast tenders) with the loaded cheese fries. He's an expert on both and I didn't get a taste of either. So, there you go. I had the blackened cobia (think tilapia but a little fishier). Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Lacey, when describing the fish to me said it was a little fishy. I thought that was an odd thing to say but he was absolutely right. In the spirit of honesty, I can only fairly give 4 overall stars because the chicken and steak fajitas had a lot of "issues". Butchering is so important. We're fanatical about gristle and cartilage, etc. Lacey finished off his excellent service by giving me an Apple cobbler with ice cream and caramel on the house. Arrived at 7:45 on Thursday night and was told there was a 45 minute wait....as we walk towards the bar to see if there are any seats there we see several empty tables ( at least 4 ). Plus we see other tables with people sitting in them and it sure looks like they are waiting for their food order. We left and went to Firebirds which is a 1 minute drive ( in the same shopping complex ) and got seated in 2 minutes. I thought the ale house has a great menu and was eager to try out their food, but it's very obvious they have not ironed out the operational side of things. They need to get their kitchen putting out food sooner and they need to not have empty tables when they are on a wait. It's not a coincidence that we walk into Firefirds & get seated in 2 minutes, and when we go to Millers Ale house we are told there is a 45 minute wait... Then he called back saying he "checked the food, and it was fresh." Victor, the fact that you don't understand that a person can get food poisoning from food being stored at improper temperatures before and after cooking, undercooked food, or employees not washing hands is the reason people are getting food poisoning at your restaurant. Just another CHAIN, except with an abundant amount of draft beers and high fructose corn syrup bar mixers. I went to Miller's Ale House (in the old Bugaboo Restaurant building in the Home Depot shopping plaza)) on Sunday evening, 7/9. Prior to going to the restaurant, I checked the online menu for entrees and drinks (beer selection). The restaurant has been open for only a couple weeks. I was met at the door by a pleasant young lady and was immediately grabbed by what I learned later was a "coach". The second young lady (coach) gave me a quick tour of the facilities. They have two bar areas. One of the areas can be converted to a "Florida room" by opening garage door type openings. That evening it was a bit humid so the doors were down. I decide to eat at the bar in the other area. I bartender greeted me. All people were friendly. They asked what I would like. I asked if they had any dark beers. Unfortunately, the only dark beer was Guinness. The gave me a drink menu even though we already determined that they only had the one dark beer. They explained that the dark beers were seasonal and would be available in the fall and winter. This did not help me. They did have my fall back - Yuengling Lager. I decided to have the "build your own burger" (supposedly 1/2 lb.). The online menu had a good price of $9.79 for this selection. You get to pick 3 toppings - this is typical of other restaurants in the area.) I selected Swiss cheese, bacon and sautéed onions The burger came in a reasonable amount of time. I asked for medium - some pink. It came about medium but not much pink. It was good, but maybe a bit greasy. The bun was ok. The fries were typical. By this I mean that some were large and thus the middle was a bit soft. I like my fries not burnt, but a bit to the crispy side. Overall the meal was good +. During the evening I learned that workers in blue or green shirts were coaches from other restaurants, for example - Virginia area. I asked them what they saw as their competition. The one coach told me that they did not really target any competitors to take market share from. I commented that there are a lot of similar restaurants in the area, both chains and locals. He stated (to my surprise) that the food might not be much better, but they folks on service. Their business model relies on word of mouth. They will not be doing any marketing. As one other reviewer commented, the restaurant does have lots of large screen TVs. The bar seat comfort level was better than at one of my favorite burger spots - 8th & Union Kitchen. The burgers at Argilla Brewing and 8th&Union Kitchen are a bit better. Once I was give the bill, I observed that the price of the burger was $10.29. I told the bartender that they needed to check the online menu versus the in restaurant menu. The prices obviously did not agree. I was not looking for any adjustment, but they did take $2 off the bill. Final comment: The restaurant had customers, but I thought they had less than I would expect for a new opening. Went for an early dinner, and after paying the bill I've decided the place was okay. Nothing was done wrong but nothing was done to have me say... wow I can't wait to come back. Food was chain like, the famous zingers weren't so famous, just a coated fried fresh chicken tender. Burger was cooked like I asked, but again nothing impressive. Rib special on Mondays were okay too, no wow factor! Service was polite. I do like the secondary bar area with the garage doors... that will be nice in cooler days ahead!
