I suggested this location to my friend after our pilates class on a random weekday because I saw it on social media. It looks cute and lovely from all the posts I've seen online. When we got here, parking was tough, so we both did valet. There was only one person at the valet podium, running around in the heat trying to accommodate everyone. Very nice young man and helpful! Wish he had someone else to help him because he was definitely stressed. My friend entered the restaurant before me. She wasn't sure if we had to wait to be seated or if we needed to order at the counter before we find seats ourselves. There was no clear indication and one of the employees pretty much brushed her off while rudely telling her to sit outside. After I arrived at the table, we got the menu and were deciding on what to order. Got some drinks and food orders in, and I asked to keep one menu to potentially add more orders. The employee who was helping us at the time said "ok, just don't get it dirty." I was shocked and was trying to convince myself that they were just joking, although it didn't come off as a joke. Because it felt malicious, we ended up not ordering more items. And honestly, we didn't enjoy our food and drinks because they were average. How are you going to have average food and drinks, and act like you're too good for your customers? I don't know what compelled them to say that, but that was rude and weird. Was it a joke? Maybe...? I hope so, because why would someone treat another person like that? It came off rude and snobby. Is it because we were still in our workout clothes without makeup on, compared to everyone else who was in more business casual/smart casual? Regardless, it's still rude. Everytime I drive by the place, I am just reminded of how weird and gross the experience was, and I would never come back. So uncomfortable. And I would not recommend it to anyone. Milligram is such a hidden gem! It's tucked away in the back of a plaza, and has a good amount of seating. Aside from a cute, modern interior, Milligram also has an extensive outdoor seating area that's a nice blend of trees and neutrals. My family and I tried this place out for brunch, and it didn't disappoint! The ambiance was nice and relaxing, and they have the staple brunch foods. I definitely recommend the shakshuka, and their coffees are brewed well! I've had my eye on Milligram coffee for a while and I finally decided to try it out. The service is why I am giving this place 4 stars. The service was truly amazing. Everyone who worked there was kind and jumped to help. The coffee shop is very cute and trendy with plenty of seating and good ambiance all around. Now for the coffee, I wanted to order a cold brew with a splash of half and half but to my surprise, they didn't carry half and half. I switched my order to an iced latte with almond milk but they only had oat milk and macadamia milk. I ended up going for macadamia milk and added vanilla flavoring. They brought the coffee out to us, and it was actually pretty good for all the trouble I went through but it was so small that I finished it in 4 sips. read more

I really wanted to like this place... I found this on Yelp a while ago and wanted to try this out. I parked outside in the parking lot and it is inside a bigger plaza that is two stories. After I walked into the restaurant, the front portion was a to go café. I was just standing around because there was no one to check in with or any front of house host. The barista told me that they do a full sit down dining service and let me to the patio outside where I was seated in the corner with a courtyard view. And you came pretty quick and the service was very nice. However, the Matcha latte that I ordered was very powdery with bland flavors of the milk overpowering. I ordered the milligram breakfast which had egg with yolk that was not runny and bacon that was hard to chew through. Two stars for the people, but the food and the drinks were subpar. read more

I ordered an iced matcha latte and somehow my order was lost, one of the groups above me had the same issue. I was told their ticket printer had been having issues but if that was a known issue I would anticipate them having a backup method, maybe writing the orders down or something of that sort. This was my first time at milligram, we sat outdoors and ordered a few bites and drinks. The location is really pretty and the courtyard is lined with trees and reminds me of European coffee shops. There is a parking lot in the back and some street parking but it can get full. The servers were very attentive and the food came out fast. The matcha latte wasn't very good at all, it wasn't mixed well and it settled at the bottom a lot. I don't think they use good quality matcha, probably more known for their coffee and other drinks. I have been to Milligram twice. The location is great and they have nice outdoor seating in the back. My ice latte was actually really good. A couple of issues with this place. 1) both times I had to wait a long time to order a coffee. There was one person in front of me the first visit and on the second visit there was no line. The lady that was supposed to take the order is just doing other things like cleaning & organizing. No offense, but I am thinking can't she just do that stuff later? I would just really like to order a cup of coffee and get on with my day. 2) issue they don't have half & half or creamer. I asked for a cold brew with half and half. They only have whole milk. What artisanal coffee shop doesn't carry cream or half and half? So overall a 2 stars for me. Customer service needs to be more efficient. That was my biggest issue. read more

Very cute, European cafe vibe. Being under the trees and hearing the birds chirp with good company was chef's kiss. However, it is a well-deserved zen after all you go through to find parking lol. It's all designated outside parking and then free street parking but for locals, we know the street parking is also very limited. There was a lot of available parking for other restaurants but you can't park there due to towing threats via signs. (Suggestion: Milligram being allotted more parking spots since there were a lot available spaces, just not for Milligram) BUT once you get to Milligram, it's pretty and they do a good job in it being a pretty and peaceful ambiance. Turnaround time between ordering and receiving food took a long time. The person I was with even ordered with another server and the server didn't put the order in. It was the 2nd server who put in their order finally, so that was a bit underwhelming, but other than that, service was good. We always had water, always had what we needed, the servers were super friendly. This breakfast sandwich was 10 out of 10. Aioli sauce made the sandwich. This comes with bacon but I had avocado with it instead. They were out of garlic that usually goes on their potatoes but it was fine with me since I am one of those weird people who carries spices in my purse so I had Trader Joe's grinder garlic salt to make up for that. Really good breakfast and will get it again for sure. This place is a must-go for a good-weathered morning for cafe and breakfast. I got there in the afternoon so parking was at its peak. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but the outdoor seating is so peaceful I would absolutely say to sit outside if you can! The Christmas tree in the courtyard was super pretty as well. The outdoor area is the perfect socializing spot to grab a coffee and meal and catch up with friends. But it also is quaint enough to grab coffee by yourself and read a book. There's free parking + valet in the back, but make sure to pay attention to the signs so you don't park in the wrong spot. Parking was pretty ample, but can fill up pretty quickly especially when people are coming by to pick up lunch. I ordered the flat white and it was as a solid cup of coffee and for a reasonable price for OC ($5). The garlicky mushroom toast can look kinda funky, but it was so flavorful and well seasoned. This is NOT a cafe to study or get work done but more of a brunch spot. This is very prominent by the ambiance of the restaurant & the fact that they don't offer wifi or outlets so keep that in mind. The parking is challenging since theres limited self parking (I'd say about 20 spots) so anticipate to look for street parking, pay for valet, or be patient for parking. I came here with a friend on a Saturday morning and it was pretty quiet. A major plus is that there's a huge parking lot so no need to fuss with parking. Neither of us had been here before and the beautiful aesthetic drew us in. Upon walking in, we were told we could take a seat wherever and someone would be with us shortly. Service was really quick - we were brought menus and water. I ordered an oat milk latter and smashed avocado on toast and added on an egg. The latte wasn't my favorite or memorable, but my friend said the orange juice was delicious and tasted freshly squeezed. I really really loved the smashed avocado on toast. The price is a little shocking especially when you see that there's an additional $3 charge for adding a single egg on top. So, ultimately I paid $17 for this, worth it though because I ate the whole thing and was full for hours. If I ever come back here, I would order it again. I also want to emphasize this isn't your simple smash avocado toast - it has all the fixings (feta, radish, roasted pumpkin seeds, and lemon).
