Although I absolutely love spending time in the library here, I didn't have the best experience at this coffee shop. Drinks: I ordered the Thank You Berry Matcha and the Salted Maple Matcha, both topped with the Vanilla Bean Cream Top (around $9 each) When I asked for less ice, the staff explained that the drinks would need to be served in a smaller cup, which I understood. However, the cup ended up being very small, making the drinks feel overpriced for the amount received. Both drinks were alright and sweet, but I could not taste the matcha at all. It tastes like strawberry milk and maple milk. Food: I ordered Anne of Green Bagels ($9). It was ok and overpriced. Service: The staff were not friendly and didn't make me feel welcomed. Wait Time: Around 15 minutes for both the food and drinks to come out.

This Kit Coffee location is not it, unfortunately. I usually go to the Irvine location and their service, food, & drinks never miss. So I was excited to finally try this location in the library because I study there a lot. However, the baristas here were not as friendly and the drinks we ordered did not live up to our expectations. We ordered the smore's latte which was okay, but the strawberry o' clock was wayyyy too sweet and it was all vanilla & no strawberry flavoring. I've had this drink many times in the Irvine location and you can really taste the strawberry flavor. For the price we paid ($17 for 2 coffees), we were disappointed. In terms of ambience, there was a lot of seating considering it's inside of the library.

Eat Pray Lox I got the open bagel $18 so worth! Fresh and yummy! Perfect for a study break!

The best matcha with strawberry cream top I've had in Irvine!! Nice and quaint cafe in the heart of a business plaza with friendly staff.

I've got the yuzu matcha, the homemade sarsaparilla and the marshmallow foam cold brew before, all drinks were delicious! The line gets really long after 10am but there is pretty decent seating all outside though and it does get really busy. The only reason why I am knocking down a star and leaving this review is because my celiac partner went and got a burrito and was told the spinach wrap was gluten-free and safe. We even asked the girl taking our order to check with the chef and she went back and said the chef said it was gluten free. The next day my partner had celiac symptoms and was sick. We went back to get breakfast another day and he was told the spinach was not gluten-free by the manager. So just leaving this here to let everyone know the spinach wrap is not celiac safe/gluten free.

Went at 9am on a Saturday and there was already a line out the door. "Steak and Eggs': loved the flavor of the steak, it was cooked perfectly! Eggs are cooked your way and it comes with avocado and a sourdough slice as well. 'Hawaiian Cowboy: coffee flavor wasn't that strong, it almost tasted watered down, and there was this floraly taste that I didn't expect Breakfast options are delicious, love the portion sizes (definitely will have leftovers), and they have such a cute and cozy outdoor seating area! I will say tho I'm kind of disappointed with the drinks here, and I've tried both their coffee and matcha....but I would recommend this place for their food!

Upon walking in, the barista was friendly and open to answering any and all questions. Ambiance was also great and fit the name of the cafe and its vibes. For the drinks, we got an iced toffee latte and the kepania, which is their version of a spanish latte. I liked the toffee latte more cause it had bits of toffee in it but I also liked the spanish latte as it tasted lighter than the toffee latte. It gave the drinks more of a balance when I started taking sips from both of them. I do really like how the top layer of the lattes were blue, which gives off a great aesthetic. The only downside for me was that the toffee latte lost a good amount of its flavor after some of the ice melted-- some cafes still have a strong coffee taste even after the ice melts & that's usually what I like as far as preference. As for the sunbliss blend smoothie, it definitely had that taste of the 100% real fruit in it and was a refreshing drink to sip on when I walked at the beach. It's a plus for this cafe for having plenty of options between drinks and bites!

Parking can be a little tricky depending on the day because of street sweeping, so keep that in mind. The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice option. It can get pretty busy inside since it's counter-service and the dining area is on the smaller side. The food was delicious, reasonably priced, and the service was friendly with smiles all around. There were three of us in our party--my mother, my grandson, and me. My mother ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, I had the California breakfast burrito, and my grandson ordered the Rose Benedict with the hollandaise sauce on the side. The portions were fair and satisfying, leaving everyone happy with their meal. If you're in the Corona del Mar area and looking for a quick breakfast, brunch, or snack, I definitely recommend giving Rose Café & Bakery a try. It's a charming neighborhood café with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

My sandwich was decently hefty which i appreciate and VERY filling. The ONLY reason I give this 4 stars is because it is a NIGHTMARE trying to park and/or eat here on weekends. Long wait and it's a pain to try and order inside because it's packed to the brim. If you want to order take out though i think that's a slightly better option during busy hours since there's a kiosk outside that you can order from.
