Would give 0 stars if I could. There is a sign posted on our building's garage saying they'll tow unauthorized cars. But yet when I actually need them to tow a car they don't have a tow truck capable of working with our parking structure. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD very unprofessional, very rude, had attitude. my car got towed from my mobile home complex, when it was parked in a dirt lot which i had permission from my complex to have it there. milne tow company lied and stated that the mobile home manager had called them which was not true, and they also lied and stated that my car was parked on a red zone and had to tow stickers, my car was never parked in a red zone. i talked to supposibly manager chirstine extremely unprofessional and rude, i told her i needed to get my file records of them prooving my car was parked on a red zone witht he two stickers and she was saying no, i told her ok, i need to know who called cause i was told by the moble home office they never called you, nor you have sent them an email saying you took my car and she still refused i told her i was going to seek legal advice and she hung up on me and kept ignoring my call. i went to pick up my car before 5 like they asked me too which i did, i feel as they were trying to sabotage me because when i got there they made me wait till i told them hey im here before 5 i need to sign paperwokr to take my car they still took a minute, i asked them for a rates sheet i was denied of that, they charged me $250 for my car only being there for 4 hours, i went to go get my car one guy didnt even know where my car was, took a while untill i noticed my car, my car was blocked so the guy went to unblock it i got in my car and turned it on and by time the guy comes back she says he in order for me to let you out you have to pay $95 for after hours fees, that got me super upset, and i said are you kdding me? i was here and paid beofore 5pm its not my fault my car was blocked and you took your sweet time to look for my car and then sweet time to unblock it, they wouldnt let me out and wanted to charge me extra, i started to make a big deal other employees came, i called sparks pd, and then another manager named robin came and said they will take my car out for me and not charge me like they were actually trying to help, then "owner" mike came out and said he was letting his employees take my car out with no fee, he was in a very tensed annoyed attitude i told him i was trying to speak to him earlier due to all of the bad mix up and incident and he said i was being rude to his employees which was not true he stated that i was making "ridiculous request" when i was asking for proof that my car was parked on a red zone, he then started being rude saying we can tak about it now after hours and i can charge you or you can come back tomorrow then i get a call fromt he police stating they had already called and told them to let me out becuase i was there before 5pm. so it wasnt even the towning company letting me go, they were told by the police to let me out, and this is why the owner mike seemed to be pissed off about it. also my car is an all wheel drive and they picked up my car from the front end which is a bad mistake on their part because now my transmission may be damage, they dont know how to properlly get cars, they are extremelly rude, unproffesional, no customer service, and crooks and steal your money, i also asked the owner about the rates, and how they were different and i got charged incorrectly and he stated well what you saw isnt our rates i said they are on your website and he said maybe you looked for out of state? really?? false advertising there. not a good buisness rude employees, idk with how many bad reviews i seen idk how they still are running a company, even another tow company driver said, that they were horrible buisness, and their workers were rude which yes they were. read more

Milne towing did a great job. My transmission broke in front of my house so I had it towed from the north valleys down to Moana area. The price was reasonable. They've gotten me out of a pinch.... a couple times. They're always able to help within a very reasonable time frame, and their prices were reasonable, too, even for being a college student. This review would not allow no star. My relative recently had a heart attack and coronary bypass surgery( emergent) We had driven his car from the Dr's office to his apartment. It apparently developed a flat tire in the 1 week of his hospital stay. The apartment complex( the phoenix ;( ) knew he was I'll but had his car towed. Milne Tow wont release the car unless an exorbitant fee is paid. I explained this man's unfortunate circumstance to "Christine" and offered to pay the tow fee minus the daily storage fee. If I could give a negative star review I would. Girlfriends car was towed around 9:30 pm and we walked out to it getting put on to one of Milne's tow trucks, when I asked the driver where we could pick up the car he gave me an unbelievably shitty, rude and vague answer. once we got to the tow yard (her car wasn't even off of the truck and there for 5 minutes at that point) they were once again extremely rude and gave us a very difficult time just to get her wallet with her identification and money to pay for the tow fee out of the car. Once they let us get her stuff out of the car the two employees sat around on their phones for nearly an hour just hanging out before even bringing over the release paperwork for the car as we sat in the waiting room. Maybe there are some alright people that work here but everyone I encountered here was unbelievably unpleasant and acted slimy as hell and I have little to no doubt that there was some racial bias (I am of middle eastern descent and I look it) literally every interaction I had with an employee here was unpleasant. I get these guys are doing their job but it doesn't require them to be an asshole and purposely waste someones time as they are just trying to get their car so they can drive to work in the morning. read more

Broke down on the way to Burning Man and this wonderful company towed us not once, but twice (turned out the first shop couldn't do the repairs). Jimmy, our driver, was awesome, efficient and the most skilled human I have ever seen back up a giant RV (34ft long) while hitched to a tow. He even helped the auto shop get her onto their lift once he got us to the second location. I can't say enough good things about him, the dispatch gal on the phone (super polite and on top of it) and the company as a whole. Super positive experience. If you need to tow a big vehicle, or any vehicle I suppose, Milne is the way to go. read more

They towed my car for maybe 2 miles (unbeknownst to me) and when I contacted them to get it back, they charged me $300 just for the tow. When I told them that was ridiculous, they were outrageously disrespectful and demeaning and said they "were within state regulations" to charge that much... somethings wrong here... My car was towed by milne this weekend and of course, one of the worst experiences of my life. I take full responsibility for parking somewhere I shouldn't have and getting my car towed. Totally my own fault. The issue is how absolutely awful the poor customer service and lack of professionalism from this company. Of course I was rude back because i've already had an awful experience before, but I assure you it was all instigated by them 100%. "Tom" denies that Milne ever booted cars, which I can prove to be BS: I have a receipt from the driver as well as the prorated rent check carbon that says "-$80 for BOOT FEE" with the vehicles VIN# and license. Never throw away a receipt. Milne clamped my truck in front of my condo in january 2005 for reg that was about to expire. Ciffs are: pimply, roid raging drivers, landlord deducting the $80 boot fee from rent. The employees assaulted a person who was trying to retrieve his vehicle right in front of me and the guy's girlfriend - god only knows what they've done sight unseen! If milne doesn't like people telling the truth about their employees and the way their business is run, then perhaps they should adopt a less criminal minded way of doing business and fire the juice heads who try to get tough when they are taking advantage of people. Milne towing is a disgrace to the business, and most locals who have had experience with the company despise them (except the thieves who work there and their kin). Milne towing is looked upon with disdain because of their shakedown business practices, aggressive methods of dealing with people, and arbitrary assessment of fees. Complex flat tire, not just the type that could be filled and quickly driven to a tire location. I had to call a tow truck. The tow truck driver was available right away and arrived in about 15 minutes. He expertly and quickly loaded my SUV on his tow truck and drove it about 10 minutes away to Big O Tires where he also drove me. He waited around to make sure that Big O would be able to accommodate me and then let my SUV off his rig and only then presented me with my bill. I gave him his fee plus a small tip because he was very pleasant and thanked him for his care. Milne is a sure bet to call if you need a tow. read more

Because we were the last registered owners the people we sold it to transfer the title into their name but not the registration. Then they abandon it at a automotive shop assuming they couldn't pay their bill the automotive shop had the tow company pick it up. Then when I call you because there is a car parked so close to my front door that I (handicapped by the way) cannot get in and out, your dispatchers don't seem all that concerned and if you do bother to show up with a tow truck, it is hours later. I had an unfortunate experience of getting stuck on my way to Tahoe in my Tesla. My auto insurance did not have any immediate towing service in the area (@2AM) so I called local police and they dispatched Richard from Milne Towing. Turned out to be a god-send! Not only he came within 30 minutes, Richard is an expert in anything to do with cars towing, and this was not a regular towing case. My Tesla was bricked with absolutely zero power, not even 12V. Richard knew exactly what to do and how to revive the brick. He got my entire family into a warm cabin of his truck, offered to stop by the service area for the break on the way to charger and was super courteous and understanding of our predicament. Not very talkative one, but extremely professional, just what you want in these emergency cases. Highly recommend these guys if you are in any sort of a car trouble near Tahoe. read more

Totally impressed! The dispatch person called me to let me know their driver was running behind due to an unexpected delay. The tow truck driver called me to get my information after he completed his prior job and was getting ready to meet me at my vehicle. Upon arrival he took pictures of my vehicle to document its condition, and already knowing the vehicle because I'd told him it was all wheel drive, he quickly got it set up to tow. I was especially impressed when the young man called me to confirm that my vehicle was safely delivered and locked in the auto shop's fenced yard, and my key was deposited in the after hours drop box. The extra call was above and beyond what I expected. I don't remember the man's name, he was driving truck #500 though. I put Milne Towing Service's phone number in my phone in case I ever need to get towed in that area again. read more

I fully agree with Matt. Our truck was just towed at the request of a security company Martin and Ross that requested the truck be towed because an individual in our development said it was not registered. The vehicle is registered and insured an is used from time to time. Unfortunately the license plates are rusted to the truck and the current license plate is in the front window at the request of M&R it was towed. We showed up at Milne towing the next morning to get it back and a lady that worked for Milne was just looking at the truck and saying this was towed for not being registered but it is and shouldn't have been towed. The have us the truck back no charge helped us jump start it, then came and picked me up and towed the truck to my house for free. In times when customer service is at an all time low the people at Milne were honestly concerned about my family and our situation. They were so friendly and made sure were taken care of with no out of pocket cost. I'm pretty sure they could have put it off on M&R but they didnt, they took care of us and we are so grateful to Anthony and especially the ladies at the Sparks office! This company was contracted by AAA my insurance carrier. I broke down on the way to Reno on my custom motorcyle. AAA contacted Milne towing which responded in roughly 1 hour which I think is great considering it was the weekend for Street Vibrations motorcycle event. The 2 gentlemen that responded (Unfortunately I am not good with names) were totally professional and friendly. The tow truck was set up to handle a custom motorcycle which can be rather challenging (very expensive). Well down to the point the experience was wonderful and the gentlemen dellivereed my motorcycle to the shop of my choice without a blemish. Came to my rescue within :30 on a Saturday. Wonderful service. Driver went above and beyond. I do have a suggestion for the owners. Consider setting your drivers up to take payments electronically. My driver was only given a handful of credit card slips for his entire day. By the time he helped me he was out. In order to pay him he gracious drove me to my bank after dropping off my car. Square will give you the card swipers and I think you'll find most people will gladly pay a processing fee for the convenience. read more

Ok, so I've had my car towed a few times. Not always the best day having to do this. With that said. Milne is the first towing co. I would call. I own a classic car. A restored 1970 Chevelle. Not your everyday BMW, But a very clean rare car. I think I've had it towed 3 or 4 times to local shops for repairs. Every time by Milne. And yes ALL the drivers including Bob who was hammered by things beyond his control. Did an OUTSTANDING JOB. All they're drivers did awesome and handled my car with experience and care! A car accident is stressful but tow truck drivers have a job to do. They also have certain regulations set by the state & local police that protect them and other drivers on the road during bad weather or bad accidents. Mr T may N OT KNOW this. If I was Bob & I had some jackass yelling at me over the phone, I would have taken it out on a certain BMW. In short. Thank you Milne for the service you offer. Last week I was westbound on I-80 near Gold Run and I was cut off and went off the road. Of course it was very dark and raining and my car was really messed up and it wasn't going anywhere. I called Milne Towing, Sierra told me a driver would be there within 30 minutes, Bob was there in less than 20 minutes. He was the nicest man. He made sure that I was OK and really calmed me down. He got me off the road and had me stay in his truck for safety. Bob pulled my car out of the ditch and got it up on his truck in no time. I didn't know where I wanted to take my car so he waited for me to call my dad and figure out what we wanted to do. He took my car to the shop and then gave me a ride home. Worst experience ever. My sister rolled my grandmother's car the other night and is in the ICU. My mother, in grief, asked me if I could get my sisters belongings out of the car. I called to arrange a time to go Milne Towing and pick them up and check out the car. They were extremely rude on the phone and would not allow me to do this. Apparently only my 88 year old grandmother or my mom is able to do this because they have the same last name, or maiden name in the case of my mother, on the car registraion. For shame, now my mother will have to leave the ICU to go do this. read more

I can honestly say this is one of the worst business's in Reno. I was in a car accident over 3 years ago, and i still can't get over the lack of respect and customer service from Milne towing. My car was towed to their gentry location after it was totalled in an accident, this was the default company the police used. It took over 2 months for them to even let me look at my car, despite the fact I was in the process of moving and had many personal belongings in the car, including school books i needed( and had to re-buy, since i didn't have access to my own). The issue was that my name wasn' t on the title, it was my dads, who doesn't live in this country. Despite the fact we have the same last name, and sent numerous notarized letters saying I was allowed access to the car, they still wouldn't allow it because they "couldn't verify it". To make it worse, they were extremely rude the entire time about everything. We were constantly getting wrong information about business hours and policy, and as much as I hate to bring it up, the type of people working there are seedy, I didn't trust my car in there lot at all.
