We walked here from our hotel which was super convenient. It's on the main drag with a bunch of hotels and restaurants right next to the Disneyland parks. We were seated right away in a spacious booth and our waitress came to take our drink and food orders. It took a while for the food the come especially considering there were only three of us. There were some larger parties that got their food before us. They do serve bread so that helped hold us over until our food arrived. I had the smoked salmon omlette. After a long day at DCA (literally from when the park opened to right before closing), we needed a place to fuel up. Our options were basically McDonald's, Panera, or Mimi's since we didn't want to uber/lyft anywhere. Portions are generous for a decent price. Our server was amazing (huge shoutout to SALVADOR). Bless this soul for accommodating us and going above and beyond. He far exceeded our expectations of this little cafe and deserves the world. We got the Santa Fe omelet ($13.99), Mediterranean chicken salad ($14.99) with a side of soup (additional $3.29), pot roast ($15.99), and a mix & match sandwich/salad combo ($14.99). My omelet came with a few choices and I opted for a muffin. I forgot how huge the muffins at Mimi's are and decided to take it to-go for breakfast the next morning. Yay for getting 2 meals in 1! The chicken in the salad was a but dry, but I was told the meat in the pot roast was very tender and better than expected. Mimi's is a great option if you want to get away from theme park food and you get a great deal for what you pay. Ate two breakfasts and two dinners here, as one of the closest restaurants to the entrance of Disneyland, without the sky high prices of restaurants on the park premises. Has a small parking lot, with plenty of booths, and glaze glass windows in a clean and tidy setting -good ambiance. First breakfast had the $11 Mardi Gras omelet. Service excellent, seated immediately, with our huge muffin arriving well before the omelet. Three egg omelet, with cheese, ham, tomatoes, pork sausage and andouille sausage. So large that we split it, with no plate split charge, and meals on two plates. My only disappointment is that the omelet was 95% egg and cheese, with the sausage hardly noticeable. First dinner had the $11 pepper with fried calamari appetizer, while wife had the $14.50 citrus salmon. The calamari was deep fried, and consisted of baby calamari, not the meaty slab of calamari which I was expecting. Not too greasy. A plus was the bread basket of just cooked heated bread sticks. Complimentary. Wife liked the salmon so much she almost licked the plate. Also had the $7 three choice dessert ensemble, three mini servings of desserts of your choice, including a strawberry cheese cake pudding, a chocolate pudding, and chocolate fudge. Second breakfast, came here at 730am, and had a half hour wait. Plenty of open tables, but the restaurant didn't anticipate the extra crowds from the convention down the street, so not enough waiters. Had the $11 Santa Fe Omelet. 3 egg omelet, but must have been small eggs, as barely enough for the wife and I when we split the dish. Big muffin on the side came with the breakfast. Second dinner, ordered the $16 Jambalaya and the wife ordered the $15 pot roast. Short changed on the bread basket, with only one long stick of bread instead of the two sticks the previous night before. Waiter, Javier told us that you can only order more bread before the meal. Ordered the $3.50 strawberry lemonade, as dying of thirst after walking miles around California Adventure. Waiter Javier let us know that he could only refill the drink with regular lemonade, which was fine with me. The jambalaya was half the price of the Disneyland Blue Bayou dish, and came with 4 shrimp, double the amount of Blue Bayou, lots of green bell peppers and white chicken meat, and some sausage. Down side was plain white rice instead of creole rice used. Sauce was a bit too sweet, and tasted almost like bbq sauce according to the wife. The pot roast was moist and juicy, but a bit on the bland side. Could have used more onions and peppers to liven it up. Kudos to Javier for being informative on the selections, and attentive in the refills. A good alternative to Disneyland dinners, as the park opens at 10am and closes at 8pm in the winter, with no fireworks Monday-Thursday in late January. Meals roughly half the price of Disneyland meals. Didn't lose my shirt eating here like I would have in the land of Mickey Mouse! And it's cold at nights, too cold to go shirtless! read more

We absolutely love the French-Cajun food, ambiance, and music of Mimi's in other resort towns INCLUDING this particular Mimi's pre-pandemic. In 2018 & 2019 the food and festive New Orleans vibe made the fact Disney's Blue Bayou was booked solid palatable. The food and service was always as good as Disney's best. Not. Anymore. Spanish music, SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW service on a nearly empty early afternoon was ridiculous. We ordered French dip sandwiches that were cold, was that flavorless, pre-sliced lunchmeat? Stale roll, unsure the au jus was watered down bouillon?? Yuck. The cement hard French fries could have been used as building material, certainly not edible. Thus, we didn't eat it. We apologized that we were not eating it, not bothering to reorder, and told them we were going elsewhere. Long had we enjoyed several meals at this very location in the past and everything was perfect. Now look for the computer A-I comment by the management stating this will be passed on. No, it won't. And the lousy food will remain as A-I produced dreadful. Go back to basics, Mimi's. Go Faux-French fun and delightful once again. You are in competition with Disney, be GREAT not ghastly. read more

The free bread is now sliced white bread. The cheapest menu item is about $17. This place is nothing like it used to be. Very sad what has happened to Mimi's. We had good food, good service, for a good price. This was a great experience that the entire family enjoyed. We wanted breakfast before our drive home to San Diego, and we hadn't been to a Mimi's in years, so decided to give em a try. We came in and were seated right away. The boys were given a coloring page/menu and some crayons right away, which was very nice and kept the boys entertained while we looked over the menu. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink order right away. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin spice latte, and it was super delicious. I love pumpkin, however I was worried it would be more spice than pumpkin and it not tasting much like pumpkin. Well that was not the case here, and I must say it was the best pumpkin spice latte I've had. I was impressed how large the cup was and really enjoyed it. We ordered and the food came out quickly and without mistakes. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks, and it was a pleasant experience. Attended a Chamber networking event here. Upon arrival they have plenty of parking. The entrance is shared by a hotel, so stay to the right upon entering. Once I walked in, I was warmly greeted by two hostess, and one walked me back to where the networking was done. This host introduced me to our waiter Fernando. He was quick to offer me coffee or water. Of course I grabbed coffee and flavored creamer. Upon the delivery of our menus, they were specific to our group of 30 members. I ordered the fluffy pancakes and the blueberry muffin. Wow, the stack was pretty filling, I had to take some home. Overall, food and customer service was great! I recommend this place for breakfast and to host a meeting or a social event. Again, I haven't had the opportunity to try other foods aside from the breakfast but did notice they are open for lunch and dinner with a variety of food choices. It does get busy as it's located across from Disneyland in Anaheim. I recommend this place for large or small family style gatherings. Obviously many tourist due to theme park across the street. After Ian had a happy time exhausting himself at Dave & Busters (Orange Outlets), we stopped at Mimi's Cafe for dinner. Staff were very welcoming. Hostess had a smile on her face. Our table was tended by Sarah. She was so polite and got us what we wanted at all the right times. She promptly brought us complimentary bread & butter as soon we placed our order. She provided very good service that night. We ordered the following: BBQ Bacon burger. $11.69 Jambalaya. With rice. $15.99. I asked for jalapenos to make it spicy. $0.49 charge for this. Dessert Ensemble to go. $6.99 -Petite Bread Pudding -Petite Silk Pie -Strawberry parfait Total with taxes came to $37.88 Jambalaya had good flavor. The jalapeno's I asked for gave it an extra kick. The portion of meat (Shrimp, Chicken and Sausage) was adequate. I opted for the rice as my carbs. Rice was just so-so. BBQ Bacon burger (Comes with a side, we chose Fries) was a typical burger with a good sized patty. It was obviously too much for Ian, so we had to take leftovers home. Leftovers were a meal sized portion for me the next day! I think the Dessert Ensemble for $6.99 is a steal. You get to try 3 of their desserts for a very reasonable price. All three desserts I had chosen were good. The coolest thing about this restaurant is the view of Disneyland fireworks every night. Went here for Mother's Day brunch. Wait was not too long. I got the steak and eggs. The eggs and potatoes cooked perfectly, but the steak while cooked med rare was dry and tough with no seasoning.
