My family and I usually come here for the excellent service and this last weekend when we came again it was exceptional once again. The restaurant was packed and yet the two servers handled it all so well. Carlos was our server and he was very on top of everything and was quick with the service! I only come here when I am having breakfast with my mom because she always gets coupons and giftcards for Mimis. The breakfast food here is pretty good. They have a large selection and always have new items. I usually get the Belgian waffle combo which is pretty fluffy and a good portion. The kids chocolate chip pancake plate shrunk a little the pancakes use to be full size and now they are mini. My main complaint would be the service.... I think overall the staff is very courteous and kind. Everything just takes way too long! I'm not sure if they are just understaffed EVERY time I go but I leave a little annoyed because its a long wait between getting our drinks then getting our orders taken then they almost always bring out our food incomplete like my mom will be waiting for her toast and it won't come out until she's almost finished with her plate. I have also tried ordering Mimis to go and parked at the to go spot waiting....waiting...then someone came out and said sorry they just placed your order it'll be 5 more minutes. Then finally 20 minutes later I get my food with a few extra muffins as an apology....I think I should have gotten my meal for free since they could see that I had a screaming baby and the whole reason I ordered to go was to make my life easier. Crossiant eggs with potatoes 3/5 $10 Cooked eggs on top of multi grain crossiant. It's very filling and quite delicious. I'm not too fond of potatoes and that's why I'm giving it a 3. Blueberry muffin 2/5 Moist and delicious with a side of spread. In comparison to any blue berry muffins at the groceries it isnt that special. Perhaps much dryier than the muffins from walmart. Love the 5-way grilled cheese with a cup of french onion. Don't be fooled by the 2 for 1 coupon. By the time you are done, you have to order drinks (we would have just gotten water) and then you end up with way more food than you need. Our bill, with tip, ended up at $27. Had we just gotten water and split a lunch with an extra cup of soup add-on, the total with tip would have been $15-$16. The pan-seared chicken fettuccine and the chicken cordon bleu are my favorite dishes from Mimi's. And their french onion soup and complimentary carrot cake is a must! If I have room, I tend to gravitate toward the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Never fail comfort food but a bit on the pricey side. NOTE: Avoid the crab cakes. I didn't have good luck with those, which I attributed to the funky aftertaste that left an unpleasant feeling on my tongue. I really wanted to like those crab cakes but their shady crab meat is tough to overlook. SIDENOTE: Mimi's waitresses are lazy! And I speak for all locations! They always make up shit about closing early if you get there past 10 PM (even though most locations are open till 11) so get there early. read more

Well I can officially say i think my old Mimi's is back with excellent service and yummy food. The steak was cooked perfect. The waffle was crispy & the bacon and apples is a great combination. The oatmeal is always yummy. How can anyone mess up oatmeal?. Today we were greeted by a wonderful waitress named Crystal. She made the meal great with her excellent service. One star for the rude hostess this morning. I walked in to a pretty empty restaurant and the hostess was nowhere to be seen. She comes a few minutes later and says it will take about 10 minutes to get seated. This would normally be fine but the restaurant was pretty empty and had a lot of open tables (more than 50 percent were unoccupied). I asked why since it was empty and she says, it just looks empty???? She then asked if I wanted a booth or table and if it's a booth, it would take much longer. I saw an empty booth but whatever, she then seats the party ahead of me acting pissed off... it took her all of two minutes and then sits me at the empty booth. What was the point of stating a long wait time, lying about how busy the restaurant is, and implying there were no booths??? There was zero point or justification to her attitude. The waitress, fortunately, was lovely and gracious. Food was ok. The muffins were great. FYI to the management. I probably won't return because of the terrible welcome. You should hire someone with less attitude for the front. read more

The food is good but it's the service that looses the stars. We have been eating here for years. The service hasn't changed much. It varies per shift and if you are lucky enough to get one of the few good servers then your experience will not be so bad. Unfortunately, the 'good servers' are few and far between. So, on most occasions you will wait for drink refills, do w/o sauces, need napkins, etc. now, having said that, I'm a regular so I know this going in. We pick our times smartly. We go in with no where else to be after, so who cares how long we sit there. (They are the ones not turning a table; thus loss of business). We bring bottles waters with us, seriously. And, we use this date as a chance to talk, hang out, and really just chill together over a meal. So, for us, we will always come in every once in a while. On a foodie note, the bread basket is the best. I love those small cersions of the carrot raisin muffin. They are better than the muffins themselves. Update: If you eat salads here and liked the blue cheese dressing...BEWARE!!!! We would come here simply because my wife craves the cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. Unfortunately, we had a rude awakening today. They no longer make their own, it has changed. Now they have a 'bought' blue cheese dressing and it is HORRIBLE. Wish we had known before we ordered as she would not have gotten a salad. This stuff looks expired and separates in the dish while you are watching it. I don't know what this stuff is but it should not be sold for consumption. Please see picture...gross. Per the manager, everyone hates it and they have sent in several 'product service' cards to corporate. I hope someone there is reading them and a change is made soon. I ordered a couple items but what made me write this review was the slice of crème brûlée cheesecake for which they charge $7.29. I am far from cheap but imagine the twelfth of a cake you would expect to see for that price....then look at the picture. In their defense they may have adjusted the price a bit, The final amount is still pending, but honestly just text me saying you don't have it versus sending this morsel of nothing.
