My avacado toast was good. Service was good. Vibes were good. Everything was good overall.

Food was great! Came in on a Tuesday afternoon and while it was a bit dead (as it typically is), but our server was attentive and sweet. Got a crab cake eggs Benedict; the crab is a little faint but the meal itself was yummy.

Service was great and the food hit the spot! I would definitely come back again. When you come, try the omelette. It was delicious!

Bittersweet return--amazing service, but the food just didn't hit like it used to. My husband and I used to eat at Mimi's Café in Fontana often before COVID, and we had so many good memories here. When we were recently in the area, we decided to stop by and see how it was doing. Seeing that Mimi's had survived the pandemic honestly made us happy--this place felt nostalgic, familiar, and comforting. But unfortunately, that excitement turned into disappointment. We arrived around 11:00 AM, and the restaurant was fairly busy. What really stood out was the server, who was wearing all the hats--hostess, server, and cashier. She was clearly experienced, managing the entire front of house with grace, professionalism, and kindness. Despite the lunch rush, she made sure every guest was greeted and informed ("Just give me a few moments, I'll be right with you")--her service was top-notch and a huge reason this review isn't any lower. The food, however, fell short. My husband ordered the Salmon Benedict I had the Short Rib Benedict Each dish was $19, and sadly, both were under-seasoned. We had to add salt and pepper to even bring the dishes to life. The food was edible, but nothing special--just something to fill our stomachs. Our taste buds were genuinely sad. In today's economy, when every dollar matters, it's frustrating to spend nearly $40 on two plates that felt uninspired. There's too much good food out there to settle for mediocre. We also noticed that the restaurant seems to have become a popular spot for an older demographic. It's a good place for group dining or church gatherings, thanks to its spacious layout. It made me wonder if the food is intentionally toned down in seasoning to suit their core clientele--which is understandable, but disappointing if you're looking for flavor. Bottom line: We were rooting for this place. We really wanted it to be as good as we remembered. The service was truly excellent, and we respect the hustle of the staff--but with prices this high and food this bland, we probably won't be coming back.

The food is definitely not what it use to be. Not sure what kind of au gratin potatoes these were but they were covered in what might have been butter and oil. No cheese taste at all. Server was okay, and the peach mimosa was the best thing we ordered. Overall I'd say way too over priced and tasteless food. Don't recommend.

The setting was very cozy like a café should be. The food was delicious and felt very heartwarming as if it was home-cooked. The service was on point and quick, always there when in need, especially from the server named Jerlynn.

We ordered the Thanksgiving Feast for a work potluck. Please see the pictures I posted for the items that are included. It says that it will feed 8-10 people... they must have meant children bc there's no way that 8-10 grown adults will be full off of this meal. At the most it would probably will feed 4-5 adults however very unlikely that it would feed 8-10 people. I was pretty disappointed that we dropped over $200 for this, plus gratuity for them to pack it into a box and had me carry it out to my vehicle on a rainy day. What was the point of tipping them?! On top of that, they included two little 1oz containers with the fried onions for the green bean casserole. I kindly asked if I could have two more and almost wanted to laugh out loud when the gal told me they will have to charge me for it. I'll stick to honey baked ham going forward- truly this was a disappointing experience. The only reason why I'm giving even one star is bc the GM called me to ensure that I knew the feast was not warmed up. I asked him how big the turkey was and when he told me it was 5lbs I started to laugh! I said no way a turkey can be that small... he said maybe 10lbs and I thought "okay that's a lil more like it" boy was he right... this turkey is the size of a whole chicken!!!

Came here for breakfast. We haven't been in a few years but used to come on a regular basis to eat an early real fast and sit at the bar for mimosas. This time we arrived about 9 to do the same but were told there was not a bartender present. No problem - we still enjoyed our breakfast of avocado toast with poached eggs (a nice addition was the chili flakes) and the wonderful orange juice the serve. Our service was great - no complaints; be prepared it was cold though. Overall great food and service. Feature was the pumpkin muffin which my husband enjoyed with his eggs & bacon. Coffee was on the weak minus the one star. Thanks Mimi's for enjoying our Saturday morning.

waiter was nice but the lady at the front of the house when we were waiting for our table had us waiting for almost an hour. We had been waiting and she didn't check on us knowingly seeing us waiting for such a long time. Once we asked about whats taking so long she said "oh i spelled your name wrong." Like what?? So ur just gonna have us sit there for that long and not do anything. And not even a sorry after either. Other than that the food and waiter was very nice. I ordered online. I didnt tip and decided to tip pending how good the take out service is. I arrived and everything was as ordered. There wasnt any bread placed in the bag. I asked for bread and they gave me ranch. mask miscommunication. I usually go to Mimis for their muffins. It didnt feel fresh. It felt hard for the blueberry and bran muffin. The food was cooked as ordered. We threw away the muffin after a few bites. Overall experience is average. read more

This is my bi-weekly breakfast spot with my wife and daughter. I felt compelled to write a review because the most recent experience was extremely above and beyond. Price wise, this is not out of reach, but is comparable to other restaurants in the area for the type of food and service you receive. Typically, we order breakfast and eat inside, but this past Friday, my daughter who has special needs threw a small tantrum because she wished to eat outside. The host and server immediately were open to sitting us outside even though the tables were not setup for customers. This quick action made my daughter pleased and prevented a meltdown that could've made our experience extremely stressful. When ordering, we made sure to put the child's meal first (Chicken Tenders & Fries), while I waited to order my chicken salad sandwich with a salad and my wife ordered a burger with fries. Previously, we've ordered breakfast items from chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict, and steak and eggs. It seems like every dish we have ate here is good. I highly recommend coming here. The staff is very friendly and warm. We look forward to returning! read more

WELL, we can now add eating out for Thanksgiving meal to "been there, done that" list. Not necessarily something I would ever want to do again. The meal was just OK, the service severely lacking enthusiasm at all. Poor girl forgot salad, wrong drink, specifics (she asked) if we wanted gravy on the side ... so we said yes! one out of three had gravy on the side. I went to Mimi's Cafe this morning to pickup some carrot cake madeleines. The manager brought them to me and didn't charge me for them because he said they were very small. I thought that was very considerate and good customer service. My husband and I go there a lot for breakfast and the breakfast is always consistently good. Their mimosas are great too! read more

Horrible service! Food came out to the table. Then waited 3 minutes for the waiter to bring our forks. Told the waiter to just leave the utensils on the table, instead he told me "No, I'd rather do it myself". He then proceeded to put 1 spoon on a napkin at a time, then a fork, then a knife. He did this for 4 people. Very irritating. Needless to say he didn't receive a tip. Food was ok, just overpriced. read more

What a joke... If it wasn't for the kindness of the hostess, I'd of left! So got here at 8:45 am. for breakfast. The hostess asked the only server if she could sit us down. Mistake! The server without a flinch, said she's too busy. Could not take another table. The hostess then came and apologized. Said she would take care of us. Party of two. As we entered the dining room, the server *Jeanie* looked at the hostess and rolled her eyes then shook her head. Unbelievable!!! Then a few minutes later Jeanie told the table across from us that the kitchen was taking thier. Marie the hostess was awesome... Thank you Marie!! read more

I actually had to ask another waitress for water. When our waitress came by we reminded her about not getting our drinks yet and she copped an attitude and was like "we were busy, yeah I asked someone else to bring the water". Ok. No need to be rude. Thankfully the food was good, so at least that was enjoyable. Our waitress never came by once to check up on us, as we watched other waitresses be more attentive at other tables. Honestly I've had better service at McDonald's. That's embarrassing for a restaurant like The Cut where food prices are not cheap. I'm sure it was just this one individual that was performing poorly, but it left us with a bad experience where we simply don't want to come back, and take our business elsewhere.

For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. That alone made a big difference. They also included their famous fresh rolls, which are always a nice bonus and never disappoint. Instead, it's slightly chewy because it's thinly cut chicken, but makes up for it with a great depth of flavor. There's much I wanted to try on the menu. I'll have to come back!

It's the perfect spot for a relaxed evening out with family or friends. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal and offered great recommendations without being overbearing. As for the food, everything we ordered was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The French Onion Soup was rich and comforting, with just the right amount of melted cheese on top. For the main course, I had the French dip sandwich, which was savory, tender, and full of flavor. My family ordered the mushroom and brie melt, and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious--classic comfort food done right, the tomato sup was also extremely delicious along with the salmon salad. I visited Mimi's at Sierra Lakes tonight and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I ordered the Hibachi Salmon, which arrived overly cooked, while the stir‑fry vegetables were noticeably undercooked. My two guests ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the dish was unrecognizable -- it came out as a thick, dark brown ball. If this is the new way they prepare it, it was not a good impression, especially for first‑time visitors. I chose not to send the dishes back because I didn't want my guests to feel embarrassed, but the quality was far below what I've come to expect from Mimi's. Our waitress was pleasant, but each time I made a simple comment or asked a question, she immediately responded with "I'll get that for you," and I had to remind her that I wasn't requesting anything yet. Based on tonight's experience, I cannot recommend the Hibachi Salmon or the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Both dishes were a complete disappointment. read more

I only came here for their Muffin Packs; i got a two pack to test them out, i got the Buttermilk Spice and the Carrot Raisin. The Carrot Raisin was delicious and moist with strips of carrot, but the Buttermilk Spice i think was a little dry or maybe slightly over cooked, the whole bottom half was a slightly darker tan than the rest, the flavor was good, but it had a very strong clove flavor to it, id prefer it a bit lighter but was still really good i just wish it was more moist. The wait sucked though, they were packed but i was waiting at the to-go counter (which had no line) and i waited for ten minutes before being addressed. Once someone NOTICED me it only took five minutes. I love muffins and there isnt many spots to go for wholesome muffins and disappointingly they only have like five flavors but I do want to go back to try the other flavors and hopefully they are amazing lol read more
