Family invited us to dine here for Thanksgiving dinner. First time having a holiday meal out and first time at Mimi's. Our reservation was for 1:15 and we were seated on time. Fifteen minutes later our drink order was taken and delivered five minutes later. At 1:50 our waitress appeared and took our dinner orders. Our food started to arrive at 2:20. Yes the restaurant was very busy but they weren't adequately prepared in my opinion. The holiday turkey meal was $31.99. For the cheapest meat you can buy this to me was price gauging. The meal came with soup or a choice of salads and a small piece of pie for dessert. They did have two different options for people that don't like turkey. Either salmon or a hamburger. The turkey dinner was huge. It was not some processed turkey product. It all tasted good except there was too much salt in the gravy which was put over almost everything. I wish cooks would learn that salt can be added but not removed. The restaurant was big and we had a good table. It wasn't so loud that we could hear each other. Our waitress was nice and efficient.

I've lived in the vicinity of this Mimi's Cafe for about 17 years and I've never had the chance to come in. Well, I wanted breakfast and I was tired of our usual spots, so we decided to come in and give this place a try for the first time. Walking in on a Saturday, late morning, there were quite a few people in but it wasn't busy at all. We were sat right away in a booth near the front door. The decor is a bit dated but I kind of liked the old home/country living feel about the place. Extremely nostalgic. I'd only be mad about outdated if the place smelled or was visibly dirty, which is NOT the case here. It's very clean in here. Our server was good and checked up on us fairly frequently. She was nice but not overly, the perfect combination of attentiveness and politeness I like in a server. We got two iced coffees and they were excellent. I liked their presentation, definitely wasn't expecting that. Our meals came fairly quickly and we both enjoyed what we ordered. I will admit I wasn't a huge fan of the potatoes on my plate but there was nothing "wrong" with them. I'm not a fan of overly seasoned things, especially potatoes, but my husband thought they were fine. We liked Mimi's enough that we talked about what we'd order when we came back in and that we'd want to come in for dinner sometime. Overall, a solid place for a good meal.

We just got back from our vacation and havent done a grocery run so we decided to have breakfast somewhere. We've been seeing this place beside mary calenders and we said give it a try. I'm glad i ordered the eggs and bacon croissant, it was delicious. The fried chicken and waffle tho, something feels missing but not bad. We saw that they have a lot in their menu so we want to try them again next time.

We just love Mimi's. It is very cozy inside. It is beautifully decorated with the authentic French theme. The place is very clean. We have been here several times now and every visit has been a great experience. Pleasant atmosphere with nice background music at the proper volume level. You can actually hold a conversation. Menu was quite large with a good number of "new" and seasonal offerings. Food came out fairly quick and also our food was prepared fresh. We have tried different dishes and every single one was delicious. The food was tasty , fresh and served in nice portions! The food was made from scratch and they have seasonal menu too. Our favorite dish is: the French Pot Roast- it's so good!! And also their French Onion Soup is to die for, so yummy! Their muffins and Madeline's are made from scratch daily and you can taste the difference in the freshly baked food. ( which is so rare these days). Staff were friendly and professional. We were greeted with a smile and everyone was very nice, attentive and inviting . We have met the general manager Damon and he was very friendly, welcoming and you can tell that he truly cares about his customers. We have felt appreciated and we had a great experience. Overall: My wife and I love Mimi's! It's a great restaurant if you want to taste new flavors , delicious dishes and experience French cuisine. We highly recommend this place.

I haven't been here for a long time. Came here around 730ish p.m. Thursday night. Not full, maybe 5 tables were occupied. It waiter John is superb. I noticed their menu is huge compared to 7 years ago. I ordered turkey dinner and it wasn't bad at all and hubby ordered half roasted chicken. The portions were just right. The chicken was slightly dry but not bad. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Noise level low. Plenty of parking!!

I'm from out of town, so the weather to me has been very cold which made me crave corn chowder. Yelp showed me Mimi's Cafe as a recommendation, so I decided to try it out. I was skeptical, especially since the reviews weren't so great. My nieces and I arrived around 5:30pm, it was already dark outside. Once we walked in, we noticed that it was big inside, however, it was EMPTY. No other customers. We thought okay, fine, we'll still try. The whole time we were there, there was only one other family that ended up coming in. The service. Our waiter was great! He was friendly and uplifting, considering we were the only people anyway. We he took our order, he offered to spilt our pot roast for us since my niece & I were sharing. We really appreciated the offer. He also checked in on us often. The food. Yikes. Everything looked and sounded so good. The latte I got, was cold and didn't have any mocha flavoring. It was kind of like an unsweetened cocoa milk. The spinach dip. Don't order. Tasted like cardboard honestly. It had no taste at all. It even had this weird after taste. The pot roast, this was too flavorful. It was salty and kind of like shoyu-y??? Very strong taste. I like that the meat was soft. Maybe it would've been good with rice to balance out the taste? But yeah, the corn chowder, way to cheesy taste. Not a fan of cheese in my chowder, plus it came out cold. I'm sorry, but the food experience wasn't great at all for us.

Our service was good. The place looks as it has for years. The food was just ok, nothing great, the burger was obviously pre frozen. Not sure there's much value here for the price.

This is absolutely the worst restaurant that EVER! I ordered mashed potatoes and gravy dinner. The meal was horrendous. From the presentation to the taste. The best part was the cutlery to go. The meal did not include a dinner roll. Pats of butter were absolutely not provided. The gravy was dark and salty. The meatloaf resembles a hamburger patty. It was dry, hard and possibly be a discus or used for a doorstop. And it required a hammer and chisel to cut into it! Mimi's has to do BETTER. I paid $17.25 for this atrocity. The meal compared to school cafeteria's lunches, I will give the cafeteria 5 s. Fire the chef and bulldoze the building. Turn it into a Taco Bell.

Quick friendly service. Excellent food. Refills at the ready. Can't stress how well cooked the food was!

AMAZING muffins! I always get some of these to go, sometimes they disappear in the middle of the night

She had the vegan skillet breakfast w/water. Served in a huge stainless steel platter, the portions are generous. Crispy brown hash browns, fresh pinto beans, cabbage coleslaw, grits and warm tortillas (in a steaming pot). The vegan flavors excited her "discriminating" palate!! I asked her how her dish was? She responded with a "when can we come back here?!" (See pic) I ordered the Hawaiian breakfast. Two eggs scrambled, Portuguese sausage, spam, a scoop of white rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, pineapple ring w/strawberry (see pic). Hawaiian style food is imitated....and rarely duplicated outside of Hawaii. For example, the best way to cook Portuguese sausage is to grill it on a gas grill like Liliha Bakery does!! The sausage is seared (not burnt, not dry) but sweating, with juicy flavors and beautiful black charred strips!!! OMG! My mouth is watering thinking about this!! Anyway...back to Peg's...here the sausage and spam are deep fried which creates a drier and as a bit tougher experience. The macaroni salad here is the best I've ever had "outside Hawaii." When you take a scoop of it into your mouth....the flavor and texture of the moist mayonnaise mixture will "titillate and explode!!" lol! No but seriously...for the braddahs & sistas....one taste and you will be "hooked." In general, not bad. The restaurant was clean. Tables wiped and not sticky. Decor was simple and progressive. (It works!). Layout of floor plan was modern. Service is great! The staff acknowledges you upon arrival. They seat you promptly. Our food order didn't take long to arrive at our table. Our waitress checked on us and refilled our drinks. Peg's is a "keeper ". We will be back for more!

One of our friends had just finished a triathlon and we had been at the lake since 6am, so we were all pretty hungry, especially him. The coffee was fresh and delicious and my cup was never empty! The portions are a good size, which suits the prices. I ordered a Denver omelet, which was good. I subbed the hash browns for the "seasoned tots" but would definitely skip as the tots were not seasoned except for maybe just salt. Not worth the upcharge when the hashbrowns tasted just fine. They have unlimited toast with the breakfasts, which is cool and they start you off with just one slice. Our friend ordered the club sandwich which looked really good and I will be excited to try it next time! Enjoy, even on the weekend!

Pink Duck Kitchen is a local Filipino-American fusion brunch restaurant that has maintained solid Yelp ratings and recently garnered a spot on the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Top 100 restaurants of 2025. Seeing as how it's the last Henderson spot which I hadn't tried, I decided to rectify that oversight today. I was thinking breakfast at first, but the Lamb Sandwich ($17.99) caught my eye. After clarifying the form of protein with the server, I said yes to this offering. I'm glad I did because it's a stunner. To start with, the bun is nice and soft. The pulled lamb is so tender and surprisingly free from gamy flavor, and whatever it's braised in does so much work making it irresistibly tasty. Then the tzatziki creaminess, tomato umaminess, and even the banana pepper tanginess really round out the flavors. Even the cucumber slices are perfectly portioned to add some crispiness and flavor. Fries come with the sandwich. I was hesitant since they were thick and also very brown. Fortunately, they were soft and fluffy inside, and there was enough crisp from the potato skins. They were actually a little undersalted too, but when I finally flagged down the server for some ketchup, I unlocked the code. The fries are just about perfect with a healthy amount of that Heinz goodness. I did get a bite of breakfast though. My friend's Ube Pancakes ($14.99) were cited as a dish to try on that top 100 list, and I can see why. There's plenty of ube flavor, and a good balance of a lightly crispy exterior and soft interior. The fresh mango and berries were a great touch, as was the whipped cream on the side. I'll have to have a full dish for myself one day. It wasn't as packed when we arrived as I was anticipating; I guess Sunday brunch invites a late-morning crowd though, since it started filling up. Music was top 40 stuff and not too loud. Really my only issue was the water not being ice cold. I've gotta come back to Pink Duck Kitchen since they have such a fun variety on their menu and they're one of the closest interesting restaurants to my side of town. If you live across town, it's actually drive-worthy for that lambwich alone.

We arrived at 11am, and while the vibe inside was lively and the decor was really cool (modern with Pink Duck vibes), we hit a bit of a snag right away. Despite seeing several empty tables, we were told there'd be about a 15-minute wait. Honestly, that was a little frustrating, especially when you're hungry and can clearly see open spots. We almost considered trying somewhere else, but decided to stick it out. And I'm so glad we did, because from the moment we were seated, the service was absolutely stellar! Our server, gave us great recommendations and made sure our drinks were always full. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally friendly and efficient, they really turned the initial annoyance around. The fusion dishes here aren't just creative for creativity's sake; they're genuinely well-executed and thoughtfully balanced. $15.99 Fried Chicken & Ube Waffle - This was my dish, loved it. $16.99 Banana Nut Bread French Toast with Carmelized "Banana Cue" We went family style on this and I would order again. $16.99 Pork Belly Burger $15.99 Breakfast Burrito Everything felt fresh, vibrant, and celebrated both Filipino and American culinary traditions without either overpowering the other. The creativity in combining these flavors was executed well. I'd definitely visit Pink Duck again to sample more interesting dishes I saw on the menu. Mabuhay!

We also had the Smash Burgers - one with pepper jack cheese and one with American cheese. First let's talk about the toasted brioche bun. When you dive into this burger the toasted brioche bun envelopes the meat and cheese (and any other veggies and sauce) and sort of arrives in your mouth ready to deliver something so delicious your stomach is going to thank you. The Chef pairs this delicious sandwich with a garlic aioli that's going to make you see this is how a smash burger is supposed to taste. We finished off our visit with the Concha Ice Cream Sandwich and a piece of NY Style Cheesecake. It was as expected sensational. What makes this place so special? I believe it's the quiet and cozy atmosphere (everyone is chowing down on the delicious food) and of course the dedication this family has to providing a delicious meal using quality ingredients as well as a desire to offer each customer a wonderful dining experience. Our server was Kelani and she was fantastic. We met the owner - on a Sunday afternoon working in the trenches with his team. The eggs, extra crispy hashbrowns and bacon were great. Pancakes which we shared were also delicious. The best we have had! The chilaquiles were outstanding according to my fiancé. They give you the option of red or green sauce or the option for half and half which is what he chose. The salsa verde was good and the right blend of tomatillos, green chiles and everything else. It was not overly spicy but just the right amount of kick to let you know there was some heat in there and he tried the pepper that it came with but it was out of his spice range. The salsa Roja was flavorful but it had a little more kick than some of the other chilaquiles I've had but It complimented everything else. The chorizo was fresh and made onsite. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were solid--definitely a satisfying start to the day. The menu has a lot of options for different tastebuds and even the most picky eater in the group. (Me lol) The service really stood out. Our server Lily was awesome--super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. She even recommended her personal favorites which made ordering easy. She brought us out a Fresh Fruit Crepe which was a wonderful surprise considering it was my fiancés birthday. It was light, fluffy, and the textures were great. It has blueberries, strawberries and Green Apples. You can tell the fruit was fresh because it was still crisp and firm. The diner itself is spacious and growing. They are Currently expanding into the next building and getting the bar up and going. They are extending their hours and expanding their menu. This was a hidden gem and It's bright, clean, and welcoming. Overall, this is a great spot whether you're a regular or just passing through. They also have a location in Boulder City which is always packed! This place is a 10/10, we highly recommend and We'll 100% be back.

It is getting harder to find places that balance quality and price well, and this one definitely does. I went with the dulce de leche pancakes and they were easily the highlight. Great flavor, not overly sweet, and just done right. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made you feel taken care of. I especially liked that the server referred to guests as "familia." It is a small detail, but it adds a personal touch that makes the whole experience feel more authentic. Overall, just a really solid breakfast spot that I would come back to without hesitation.

The staff and especially the manager ( sorry I didn't get names) were both so very patient and trying to help me pull up my voucher! Thankfully it finally pulled up and we were able to redeem it! Tip: if you are using a Groupon voucher or any digital coupon to take a screenshot of the voucher/barcode as you may experience the same internet issues as I did. Overall, food was good, seated quickly and didn't wait long for our food! Their banana nut muffins are so good! The manager even gave us some muffins to take home because of the inconvenience! Great customer service! Thank you!

Breakfast burrito was solid. Kids liked their pancakes and potato but I thought it was way too salty. Worst of all, we realized once we got to the restaurant, our pre-order on their website had a 20% up charge for to-go orders. A to-go order that I picked up. They said door dash charges the fees but nowhere does it say it on the site. Disappointing. A $16.50 burrito became $20, etc.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! I love restaurants that are so unassuming but are so good. My…read moregirlfriends and I were looking for a breakfast place close to a sewing studio we were going to that afternoon that also had a decent selection of vegan and vegetarian options. We were greeted right away and led to our booth. He took our drink orders while we waited for the rest of our party, and once they arrived, we were told about their cinnamon rolls. 2 people in our party were vegan so we skipped it, but I will be trying it when we come back. I got the orange juice to drink and the french toast with a side of grits (because I feel like it's rare to find a place that does just straight grits in Vegas). Orange juice was a good size for the price, and the side of grits was a hefty portion, I was super excited for that. The french toast had cream and fresh berries on top. The french toast was soaked and griddled to perfection, thick bread that takes on the moisture very well. And the berries kick it up a notch! They have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian food, which our friends loved! When we finished up, we were offered complimentary cookies. They were warm and sooooo good! The service here was phenomenal. Our waitress was so nice and we were having quite a laugh with her, we had a great time. It wasn't too busy in here and this place is kind of tucked away, but more people need to check it out! I will absolutely be coming back to try a savory breakfast along with that cinnamon roll!

Just like it says on the outside: JUST GOOD FOOD…read more Zenaida's Cafe is very unassuming, not much too look at from the outside. I'd call it a medium size venue with a decent amount of seating. Most definitely has that mom and pop, small business vibe to it, along with that old fashioned diner feel. You don't have to worry about parking, the lot in the plaza has plenty of spaces. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. #JUSTGOODFOOD: ~ HOUSE SPECIALTIES: JERK CHICKEN HASH - 3.5/5 Thought I'd give this a try. To me it was more like 3 *** rounded up to 3.5 **** While the dish was tasty, and prepared just like I ordered. There was hardly any "Jerk Chicken" just a few pieces of shredded chicken underneath. If this had more "Jerk Chicken" it would be a 4.5 ***** in my book. ~ Complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5 This was RIDICULOUS! They present you with a complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookie for dessert when you are done. The Cookie has a good amount of Chocolate Chips and had a thin layer of something on top, possibly condensed Milk. AMAZING! Soft, warm, gooey, chewy... basically a perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie. I would buy this by the dozen! I'd come back...
