Anyways, if you do come here for your birthday, tell the waiter and give your ID, and you'll get the BIG mimosa for free. When it's originally $25. But they can only comp out one! So don't go too crazy. We also ordered 2 smoked salmon egg Benedict which was really good! But one with hash browns and one with potatoes. We didn't really come with an appetite, so we shared. (I was in a group of 4.) And since my friends had a sweet tooth, we ordered the Nutella smores French toast. The first bite was really good. But then it would be too much to handle. We didn't get to finish it, and I don't really recommend it because it's really sweet and heavy. I would've given this place a four star but the service was good too! Great food, but slow service! My bf and I ordered 2 dishes but we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our food. Despite the long wait, the food made up for it. In terms of food, BEST BRUNCH I've had in a long while. Maybe its because of time, or my taste buds are on point, but I was impressed. Small restaurant, small parking lot, and HUGE wait list. I recommend you come early! I waited about an hour for 3 people. You can only order the Large (~$25.00) mimosas indoors. Chicken apple sausage omelette for $11.50. Hollandaise sauce on the side with hash browns and sourdough toast. So... Good. Huge portion. Definitely couldn't have killed it on my own. Side of biscuits and gravy. one of the BEST gravies I had. I've wanted to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint. The wait was long but it was very easy to add ourselves to the waitlist via yelp on the drive over. The cafe is small and was very crowded with little waiting area. However the hostess did great under the circumstances managing the waitlist we were notified via text and seated as predicted based on our waitlist sign up (45 min wait). Our server Susan was prompt and friendly. They were out of the prickly pear mimosa the bar tender let me know right away so then I selected the Blue Curacao which was pretty good. Our food came fast. The pancakes were huge, fluffy and had a great flavor. For brunch I had the crab and shrimp omelette with home-fries and my boyfriend choose the spicy skillet. Each of these were really good. The wait was long, there wasn't a lot of parking, and the food was mehhh. The waitress was nice but very forgetful. My friend asked for no onions in her eggs and they came packed with onions. I was reaching the bottom of my drink so I decide to lower my drink to finish and to my surprise there was a fly floating in my drink. For me to go out of my way to write a one star review for a restaurant means that it must have ticked me off REAL bad. And you NEVER want to see pissed off me. Mimosas hit the spot after hiking the hills at Quicksilver! I shared the California omelette and Bananas Foster French toast (sans whipped cream and ice cream) with my boyfriend. They were both quite tasty but I enjoyed the omelette the most of the two. At first, I wasn't really feeling the French toast because it initially tasted really fried, but after the first bite, I was all in. A bit of both the banana and French toast combined made my mouth really happy. Of course, I had a guava mimosas. They fill a lot of it with ice so it seems like their is more than their actually is. The champagne in the mimosa also gets a bit flat because it gets poured into the large glass. This can be cumbersome to drink from because the glasses are tall. You end up having to stand up take a drink. That being said, it is a large amount of alcoholic based liquid, which was watered down. Overall, the price would be comparable to multiple regular sized drinks. The food was mediocre and pricy for what is was. Regular diner food for the premium price. Not really worth it. Our drink order came first which were water and one coffee. The coffee was cold! We addressed this with the staff and he said it's because of the cold creamer. WTF?!!! Yeah... no, I used cold creamer for my coffee at home and the temperature doesn't drop like that. Whatever! Next our food came. Our chilaquiles were cold (not even warm) to the touch. We also addressed this and was brushed off. They told us that it was made to order. We'll that a load of poop. That thing was soggy and cold. If it was fresh, it would be like that. We ended up canceling the two chilaquiles. And decided to just order some eggs and sausages. We'll guess what? That never came so we canceled again. We didn't eat. It everyone else did. To Joel the manager... We don't know what kind of establishment you are running but as the manager of this place, don't you think you should be present to address any issues that your staff isn't empowered to make the decisions on? They can't even discount our bill due to all the issues we encountered. As the manager, don't you think it's a good idea to check in on your customers to make sure we are happy or were to too hung over from the night before to even bother? But my visit started with having to find a place to squeeze my car in the tiny lot, then finding out it was over an hour wait. The place seemed popular so I thought the food must be good. But my "spicy omelette" was just so so, and seemed to be missing a few of the items described on the menu. My friend I was with ordered one of the skillets and found a bit of plastic in the food as the waitress was coming by to make sure that everything was okay. No real apology or talking to the manager, but then her going back to the kitchen to just get something else that came out with the wrong side. I know it's hard working in this kind of job but the waitress seemed to roll her eyes at us more than once and just clunked down the water that she finally brought after asking for it three times. I was thinking at the very least they would have offered my friend a free drink for her troubles, or really, even a sort of apology. I think the food was just okay - nothing really special, and it seemed overpriced because there are plenty of places in the price range that have better food with less of a wait and annoyance. Probably if I drank a giant mimosa, I might have enjoyed it more. The one I had, the regular size, was fine but nothing to write home about. Waits here can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours depending on the day, time, and if there's a holiday. Big parties come here all the time, so be wary when coming when hungry. The mimosas are $25 (as of the last time i came). I am no longer a big fan of these because I always get a sugar crash when I get home and wake up with a mid day hangover. I now ask for a BIG margarita and the bartenders are so nice. They charge you the same price. I first came here in 2016 for my bf's 21st birthday. I am constantly coming for people's birthdays and when friends are in town. This is the only place I know of here in San Jose that does these big cups for a decent price. I have tried over 10 different flavors here, but the Strawberry mango, watermelon, and classic mimosas have been the best so far. I came on midday Sunday and like the other reviews state - this place has really no parking. It's probably best to skip the parking lot and park in the residential area, which is either across the street or down the street on the same side. We walked down the street rather than across to street to avoid having the cross the street. There is only approximately eight spots that are for Mimosas Cafe; the rest are for the Smoke Shop and other businesses in the area. Once there, the wait was pretty long. For two people it was 45 minutes at 12;45pm. It is due to the size of this establishment. This place is small. That being said, the manager/ host is really good at giving you a timeframe and keeping to it. I expected to be sat around 1:30pm, he kept checking in on us from 1:15pm till we were sat at around 1:25pm. For the people that are next to be sat on the list he learns your name for a short time span. Works for me. He makes it as efficient as he can for the space they have. They do have this outdoor area in front of the restaurant, I wonder if they would consider expanding or utilizing it somehow. The people who work there are hustling. Considering that they are small they are also still very busy. From what I could tell there are only four servers and one busser. The manager/host at times turns into a runner/ busser himself. They are doing their best. So for those individuals that review this place and say that service is sub par, I think you should realize what is going on around them. If the wait it long, the place is packed and the servers are running around, its because they are busting their butts to try and do their job. When the servers have a moment to catch their breaths, you can tell they're exhausted. Onto being sat. We were given a booth and promptly asked for our drink order. I decided on the guava mimosa and my wife sadly chose the peach mimosa. Why I said sadly, is that she was between the peach and watermelon. The server stated that the peach was sweeter out of the two - but all you could taste was the champagne. My opinion, don't get the peach mimosa. Our server said that the most popular are the guava and passion fruit. The passion fruit was my other choice. This place is known for the really large mimosa drinks. Looking at the size, this would be for three people. For our meals I ordered the California omelette, sub the toast for a pancake. My wife ordered the meat lovers scrambler. Both were solid. I do think my looked better. My meal came with hash browns and a pancake, while her's only came with a biscuit. She had a rough meal... Service wasn't the best, but that's ok because I could tell they were doing their best. They also had to deal with bigger parties and every 10 minutes had to sing happy birthday to someone. Honestly, after you've graduated high school (or even before then) having people sing you happy birthday is a bit lame. Grow up. Would I come here again? Finally had time to get brunch! There are so many flavors to choose from. I got Midori and my friend got Watermelon. They're each $8 but you can turn it to a Super Mimosa for $25. I wanted to try the Super but we didn't have enough people with us for the challenge. Even though we got the normal size, the drinks were quite strong for me. I recommend coming with friends for some fun day drinks! As for food, I got the California Benedict which is poached eggs, avocado, bacon, tomatoes, hollandaise sauce on a toasted muffin. I definitely wasn't lucky, but if you don't mind parking across the street in the residential area and walking over to the cafe, then you're set to go! I was seated for a table for two right away and since I was having a catch up session with a friend that I haven't seen in nearly a year, their bottomless mimosas were definitely on our menu! Food-wise, I ordered the Ben special which was surprisingly lacking in flavor and substituted the toast for a good ole' pancake. I added in Tapatio, black pepper & salt just to make it taste like something other than a mush of eggs. The pancake was on the dense side so I will give them props to that since fluffy pancakes aren't really my thing. My friend ended up getting the Chorizo scramble and said that it tasted amazing so maybe I just chose the wrong dish to start off with! Mimosa-wise, this place had a list of flavors to choose from. And if anyone knows me well, they'd know that I LOVE variety! We got a watermelon and peach mimosa and it tasted like a hot summer's dream drink. I'm a first timer here and I'll be back! Came in on a Sunday, a little later than usual to have lunch. This place was packed. Came in with a group of 6 people. Wasn't able to sit down until everyone was there. Took a little longer to order our food but given that it was a packed house, we gave them a pass. Food was great! Really big portions. Cobb salad came out fresh, chicken breast was nice and hot, with just enough dressing. The super Mimosas was alot bigger than i thought. Super cute and so worth it! it's a must try! Staff could be a bit better. Need to be more attentive to the customers. Other than that, I'll be back! read more

My girlfriend and I were looking to grab mimosas this Sunday and on our search were able to find this gem. We came for the super mimosa , which let me tell you was delicious and definitely won the battle cause we were only able finish half. Maria did a great job explaining and recommending the favorites. We ordered the meat lover's skillet. It was so filling with great flavor from the grilled onions and peppers. 10/10 would definitely come back for the food but even more for the service from Maria. read more
