Decided to give this place another try and so far I'm even more disappointed than my last visit. I'm here for my sister in laws birthday and we arrived at 9:30 to put our name down and were told the wait is less than an hour, the host said... Went to check on our name at 10:15 and we're told that we were next, but other people still kept getting taken ahead of us. My boyfriend went inside to see why we still weren't being taken in yet, and the host was taking call aheads and putting the names ahead of those who have been waiting outside for quite some time. They have always said they don't take call aheads... It's now 10:45 and we just got called for our got a table. She still does not know how to give the wait time. I honestly do not like coming here no more. The only reason I still come is for the birthday mimosa. But I don't think it's worth the wait and / or how they are prioritizing the names on the wait list. Don't think I'll be coming back until they figure out how to manage better. read more

Friends invited me for brunch at Mimosas Cafe this past weekend. To give you an idea of how busy this place is, We met here at 11am and the wait was 1.5 hours! Parking: this place has little to no parking. While waiting outside we saw about 6-7 instances where people parked across the busy street in the residential area because there was no parking spots. I got lucky and found one, so no playing chicken here. Once we were seated, we were greeted promptly with menus and water. The service was pretty great, super attentive and on top of things. When water got low she was there filling up the cups. This place is known for the big mimosas they serve! The list is pretty large and any flavor you want they have. We started out with 2, them ordered a third later. The big mimosas are an entire bottle of champagne with flavoring in a huge cup. You can share or drink it alone, depends on what you can handle. The first 2 were pomegranate and peach. The peach one was very sweet but the pomegranate was not sweet at all, so the mix was great. The third was a POG flavor, OMG very very good! I totally recommend it! Food wise I ordered the red chilaquiles. They were good, and I was surprised with the chorizo that was in it. My first having it like that. My friend got the green ones and it wasn't as delicious, and she hated the chorizo. Overall good experience, will come back. read more

Each of us in our party had a different mimosa (there are a lot of choices) I had the strawberry mimosa and was a bit disappointed that it was made with syrup and not fresh strawberries. Met some friends here for breakfast on a Saturday. Easy parking and didn't need to wait to get a table. Breakfast is average. I think it's more of a spot for drinks. Glasses were huge to share, which made it fun. I'd go back for the social fun of the drinks, which is always the easy part! read more

This place is off the hook! Not only for the Mimosas; any flavor you decide, all are awesome. Amount my favorites is the Guava( however I haven't turned back any of them. A Bloody Mary also hits the sport as a starter on a Sunday, before football, then following up with a smooth Mimosas....OK, enough for the drinks! Then menu has a very large selection and since I've been coming here for years; I've never had a bad meal. One of my favorites is the Hangover we Chilaquiles, with a side of Crispy Linguiça. Ask for it a bit crispy and the juices still flow, drag that spicy quiles and you'll be in heaven. Amongst the food is the great service; always with a smile and always over the top! I'm talking about more than one champagne bottle popped haha. We got the pomegranate mimosa and it was good. I tasted mostly the champagne versus the juice. I ordered the corn beef skillet with potatoes and YASS it was exactly how I liked it. It's not from a can & the corn beef was greatly seasoned. I got a large biscuit on the side, which I didn't care for but it was still good. The pancakes were delicious as well. I believe everyone enjoyed their food. The only negative comment is that the omelettes were a bit dry. But overall, the food and drinks were great. What needs to be improved on is the service. After our waiter took our order he never came back to give refills or check up on us. And some of our food were missing like the two plates of pancakes. We had to ask a different server because our server disappeared. And when we asked for condiments and an extra cup, literally one of us had to go up to the bartender because no one would come and help us. Great boozy spot for brunch. The mimosa is strong and sweet so I'm into it. Hash browns came out with a strong fry( almost perfect) but they forgot to season it. I personally love a slightly overdone poach where the yolk oozes instead of running. But these were soft, soft,soft boiled. The whites were also raw. A good poached egg is 4-5 minutes. Celebrated my bff's bday a while back at Mimosas. Waited 1.5 hours for a table for bfast on a Sunday for about 7 people, which was expected. This place gets quite packed, so brace yourself! Huge portions, food was good quality and the service was friendly...they hid my friends cake, lit it and brought it out for us which was nice. Anywho...their omelets were the best, make sure you go for the prickly pear mimosa...the seven of us couldn't even finish it. The three stars are really for the size of the restaurant, how long it took to get our food and just the overall crowded-ness! I think I'll go on a weekday instead. read more

The first time I came to Mimosas Cafe, they told us to come back in 40 minutes, and then they gave our seat away to another large party. We had to wait another 40 minutes to get our seats. Fortunately, they accommodated this extra long wait with a complementary mimosa! It was well worth the wait because the concept of large mimosas were really fun. Everyone enjoyed his or her food orders (I ordered veggie scramble) and it was on point - hot, fresh, and plentiful. I'm still on the hunt for my go to breakfast spot. I might have found it. I order chicken fried steak everywhere I go to try to normalize the playing field, and it was quite delicious at Mimosas. The steak was a decent thickness, not just a bunch of breading like at other spots, and the gravy had sausage bits. The eggs were cooked how I asked them to be, which doesn't always happen. And it came with a giant biscuit & gravy! And lastly, I ordered a hot chocolate which was at the perfect temperature. Maybe it's the nostalgia of having ordered hot cocoa that makes me like this place so much! I will definitely come back to try other items and update this review accordingly. Service: 5/5 because we had a HUGE group and they took really good care of us! And we all know how annoying big groups are. This review is for my most recent visit to Mimosas Cafe. The first time I went here was for Mother's Day. Despite the hour wait, which I thought was reasonable for the holiday at 10am, the food and drinks made up for it. During this visit, the staff was attentive and accommodating. They checked on us often and worked with us after we closed out our check but wanted to have another super mimosa. My second visit was this past Sunday. We arrived at 9am and was already seated. Great! The morning started off pretty good. No wait, and our server came to check on us immediately. We weren't quite ready to order, so we asked her to come back within a few minutes, which she did. We placed our food and drink orders. The drinks came out at a reasonable time. However, our wait for our food was nearly 45-minutes, only after we checked in with the manager, who informed us that they only had one cook on the line. We could empathize with that. So we waited and waited. Two of our four dishes came out. Gf's mom got the chilaquiles. It was COLD as ice. Nothing worse than floppy, soggy tortillas. I got the countryside Benedict, which was also cold. I'm usually not too picky about my food, but the cheese, which I asked for no cheese, was now a hard blob. When I scraped it off, it came off too dang easily, so you can only imagine how long it's been seating out. We don't like to complain, but this was unacceptable. They came back probably 10-15 minutes later to inform us that they had microwaved our food. Strike 2. By the time we received all our food, we all pretty much lost our appetite. To make matters worse, they double charged us for the chilaquiles, which we asked them to recook due to it being a soggy, inedible mess after nuking it. The manager fixed the double charge and sent us on our way. There was no compensation for the 1) incredibly long wait for food, 2) horribly cold then microwaved food, 3) wrong total on bill, and 4) although manager was apologetic, there was NO real action to rectify our experience. I'm sure the couple sitting across from us would highly agree with our experience. Poor things waited 20+ minutes to even get any sort of attention from the staff. It's safe to say, I definitely will not be returning to this establishment. I'm well capable of making their super mimosas at home. read more

Since I don't drink I did not participate in the large mimosa drinks that my friends had ordered. Parking sucks. I had to park in the residential street across the busy street. The wait is also horrible. That being said, the mimosas are pretty great. Yes it's massive, yes it's gimmicky, but it's pretty tasty. We ordered chorizo scrambles with hash browns and home style potatoes, chicken fried steak benedict, and the California omelette. The food is reasonably priced and it's good. They give you a good portion of food and it's solid breakfast food. Overall, while parking and the wait are a pain, the mimosas and food are pretty good. The service was ok, but what drove us crazy was the fact that we were seated right under a speaker. They blasted a bunch of music and it was really difficult to communicate between the four of us. Giant mimosas and rap music, what more could you ask for? My fiancé and I went here this morning before car shopping not really knowing what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. They have like 12 different kinds of mimosas for $8, they are made with fruit purée (most of them.) they are very large and super delicious...also 3/4 sparkling wine. I ordered the corned beef hash Benedict and the corned beef was superb. The eggs were done perfectly with a lot of yolk, and the country potatoes were delicious as well. How else do you get through the beginning of a long week? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Our waiter was prompt like he was ready to tackle a weekend rush at any time. Great service. We got the super mimosa in Orange Strawberry. One huge glass filled with ice to the top, champagne half way, orange juice, strawberry syrup, and strawberry chunks swirled in. (Yes, you can mix the flavors!) If you want to avoid a diluted mimosa, I highly suggest mixing any flavor with orange and/or pineapple. These are the two flavors that are juice-based. The rest are made of syrup, so I'm guessing it might be mixed with carbonated water plus champagne. I could be wrong, but our super mimosa was just right. $24 or FREE on your birthday! It was fun taking photos with the super mimosa but it felt weird to stand every time I wanted to take a sip haha. I would come back for the regular sized mimosas to try more flavors like prickly pear and midori. They freeze the glasses so it won't be diluted with ice. Size is still pretty large for $8! The housemade corned beef hash is one of the best I've had! Large lean shreddable pieces of protein. It can be served as a skillet/plate or in the form of benedict! I got the Irish Benedict. It came with a generous side of country potatoes covering half if not more than half the plate. The potatoes were bland so I seasoned them myself. The classic benedict must have also been delicious since my friend cleaned his plate :-) The pancakes looked chocolatey brown on the outside, but the inside was still uncooked and doughy. I absolutely love this place! I moved to LA and still think of this place often. I recently was in town with my boyfriends family and decided to celebrate his uncles bday here and have brunch. The mimosas are always great and I love that they have a variety of flavors so we can all have something we like. The food is always exceptional. This is probably my favorite place to have huevos rancheros. Honestly, I've tried a lot of the dishes here and I've never had any complaints. The only thing that does suck is the wait. There were several people seated who were no longer eating just hanging out and talking when there's a huge line of people trying to eat. They really should have a time limit on how long you can stay seated so other people who are trying to eat don't sit outside for over an hour. read more

My wife and I tried Mimosas Café for the first time yesterday. It was really damn good. If you are in the mood for some hearty breakfast comfort food, give this place a look. I had the countryside benedict. It actually looked more intimidating then it was. When the waitress first put the plate down, I did not think I was going to be able to finish it, but I easily did. Looking forward to trying the other items on the menu. My wife got an California omelet and it was huge. She couldn't finish hers, so I had it for lunch the next day and it was so damn good as well. Only negative is the parking is really small. If you park at 7-11 next to it, you run the risk of your car being towed away. Sounds like there is a lot of fighting for spaces in that complex. You can park down the neighboring streets and walk over, but the street can be very busy. Waitress said the wait on Sunday's is really long. Decided to come here for my friend's 23rd birthday and was mildly satisfied, but mostly just disappointed. Food was absolutely fire. Like I got the Benedict Biscuit plate and it was SO good, that I finished he bigger than average portion. The sweet potato fries were amazing and chicken was moist. The mega Mimosa was average. We got the guava one, but it had a fly in it. They were nice enough to bring us a new drink. That drink was way too watery and not well made. The host was very sweet and attentive, but our server was really inattentive and a little passive aggressive. Overall. The parking lot is pretty small and shared with other stores/restaurants in the shopping plaza but they do have more parking in the back. The service was really great upon heading inside. We decided to get the huge guava mimosa. It was delicious. Not too sweet but definitely had the guava taste. I got the smoked salmon benedict with hash browns and it was so delicious!!! My friend and I came here for brunch on Jan. 2nd and the line was crazy. The waiting/name list wasn't very organized either, and I was quite disappointed in that.. But as soon as we were seated, we knew what we wanted from browsing the menu during our wait time. I got the Smoked Salmon Skillet with a Mango Mimosa. Surprisingly, the food came out really quickly, and holy cow, the portion is crazy big! I barely made a dent in my food because the portion was THAT big. It was delicious and everything was seasoned and blended very well together. My mimosa, on the other hand, wasn't as great as I expected. I wanted a bit more mango flavor in it, but I guess it's also good that they weren't stingy about the amount of alcohol that goes in there. I tried my friend's peach mimosa and I did like that better than mine. Overall, I enjoyed having brunch here. The price is great for the amount of food and drink you get here. The only down side is that the wait could be pretty horrendous, but I am sure it's better if you didn't come on a holiday when everyone is out of work/school. read more
