It has always been super busy the other times, and I could never justify the wait. Looking around, we could see that food was taking a long time for most people. I ordered the strawberry and blueberry pancakes, it was an extra $2.25 for another choice of fruit! Nowhere on the menu did it state that a huge pile of whip cream would be included so imagine my face when I saw it come out. The girl said fruit pancakes come with whipped cream so I should've let my waitress know. Don't try to put the blame on me because if I had known, of course I would've said something since I'm lactose intolerant!!! I'm fine with buttermilk in the pancakes but whipped cream is a no! We weren't checked on until my corrected pancakes came out and by that time, my friends had pretty much finished eating. My pancakes were good but they should bring butter out along with maple syrup. I liked that they have fruit inside of the pancake as well as garnished on top. The table next to us was visibly upset. We heard her tell our waitress the customer service sucks and she didn't even want her meal. She then asked for the owner and proceeded to tell him off about the service, he had no empathy. So it wasn't just us experiencing horrible customer service today, I think the whole place went through the same ordeal. Parking was also a huge issue, the lot is small and some of the spots were marked for the liquor store. I had to park across the street in the neighborhood. Combined with the extremely poor customer service and the attempt to blame me for the whipped cream incident, I can say with certainty that I will never come back. We came here for a friend's birthday early (9:30am) and it wasn't too packed yet! Apparently this place is crazy packed most days but if you come early, you'll be fine! The seating area is quite small and so is the parking lot, so it makes for a very long wait! The food was pretty good but nothing incredible. I ordered the steak omelet and my fiancé ordered the chicken fried steak. I should have ordered the chicken fried steak because it comes with biscuits and gravy! This place is mostly known for their mimosas, of which they have a ridiculous number of flavors (mango, guava, passionfruit, the list goes on!). I think the big draw is the MASSIVE mimosa they serve, which is basically an entire bottle of champagne with fruit purée (honestly it might be more than a full bottle!). Super cute little place! So glad I yelped it. Me and my girlfriend were looking for a breakfast place and this really hit the spot. The thing that really caught my eye were the gigantic life size mimosas!! But of course me and my girl are totally weak sauce so we got one small normal Midori mimosa. But anyways onto the food! I had the protein scramble and a side of hash browns with it! I have to say Mimosas cafe doesn't disappoint. My hashbrowns were nice and crispy and my scramble wasn't too dry not soggy. Much better than most breakfast places I've been to. ( aka cafe gourmet ) you can read my review on page or their page. What really compelled me to write a review is that we had the funniest server! I believe his name is Ivan! My girlfriend told him he had the best customer service, and she never tells that to anyone.. Like ever! Mimosas???! Who doesn't love mimosas. I have been here twice and it has both been a delight. Let me talk quickly about the food then go into the mimosas. The food is basically your typical breakfast/lunch joint, but they have so many yummy options. I had the herb chicken skillet, which was pretty tasty. Them potatoes @___@. Who doesn't love potatoes. The 2nd time I decided to check out the breakfast options... and I am a sucker for waffles. The churro waffle was so moist and good. Who doesn't love ice cream for breakfast. WHAT? Yes... you heard me... they put Vanilla Bean ice cream on that Churro Waffle ... -drool- Now to the drinks... Oh my lord, the Mimosas are so tasty. I highly suggest coming with friends, because the Super Mimosa ($25) is SOOO funny to drink out of and it just makes the outing more enjoyable. If you aren't feeling that adventurous, just get the regular sized one ($8). For the Super Mimosa, you can get 1 or 2 flavors, so choose carefully! My favorite combination has been Strawberry + Prickly Pear (yummy). They have many other options, so feel free to try whatever you like. If you want a huge mimosa glass that is the size of your head, come and bring your friends! I would give this place a 5/5 on food/drinks and a 3/5 on Parking. Good luck finding a parking spot here...
