The Greek salad which i was excited to try was plated nicely in a tower shape, tomato's , cucumbers and feta was crumbled on top. It has plenty of calamata olives, which i thought was generous . Maybe too much , I was missing anchovies and didn't bother to ask about it. The server asked me what kind of dressing do i want ? Greek of course i said. So they gave me oil and vinegar and it was spiced with the right herbs , I don't think you need to ask what dressing goes on a Greek salad , seemed obvious to me. I ate half of the salad , packed the rest . I kindly wanted to bring to the attention. To the chef that there were wayyyy too many chopped red onions . I showed her , who will eat chunks of red onion - it was a miss on the chef - otherwise it was a good salad- I threw out the excess of onions . . . Just a few sliced red onions is fine. The challenges of eating out. I had a feeling who ever chopped the onions was inexperienced . Things should be uniform and light. Some retraining is required. They accommodated my interest of sports channels , tennis especially . I still feel I need to micromanage my dishes out . I will return with my special requests of course .

I was in the mood for Italian food, so we decided to give this place a shot. I called ahead to check availability, and I'm glad I did! We didn't have a reservation, but thankfully the manager let us know that they'd have a table ready for us around 7:20pm (it was roughly 7pm when I called). My husband and I were just down the street, so we decided to go ahead and make our way there. Once we got seated, we were quickly greeted by our server, Mike. He was very attentive and friendly! We later learned that it was his second day on the job, which we found shocking as he did such a great job! As for the food... I'll be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana (my favorite Italian dish) and my husband ordered the Risotto Primavera. The Eggplant Parmigiana was not crispy at all, which was super disappointing! It had a great flavor, but I prefer a crispy texture so this didn't really hit the spot for me. It came with linguini noodles with tomato sauce, which was very bland. Whatever sauce they used did not have a great taste to it. As for the Risotto Primavera...it had a RICH flavor to it. My husband said "it's good, but not good enough to order again". I, on the other hand, didn't like it as I thought it was just too rich in taste. The food wasn't the best, but I'm giving them 4 stars because the overall service was fantastic! Everyone was so attentive, helpful and friendly, from the host to our server to the manager. It's rare these days to find a team where everyone is pitching in and happily doing so!

It is pricey, but you pay for what you get. They apparently have lockers, if you want to pay for one, bar area, and main dining hall. We had the Oysters on the Half Shell, Nueske's Cherrywood Smoked Bacon w/Korean BBQ, Lobster Bisque, Au Gratin Potatoes, Lamb Chops, & Twin Lobster Tails (Special). We drank the Sangria & the Double Oaked & Rye Manhattan. It is worth noting that the complimentary bread was very good, in particular the onion bread, which we asked for more of on the side. Everything was excellent over all, definitely some weak spots (see the grades), but a wonderful experience overall. Since we were there for our Anniversary they put confetti hearts on the table, an Anniversary card, & brought us complimentary champagne and dessert at the end of our meal (not pictured). The Capital Grille (Parsippany, NJ) - A Deficit-Healing, High-End Haven…read more After a brutal afternoon at the Wind Creek Casino tables in Bethlehem where the cards refused to cooperate, my girlfriend and I fled east, ditching our original steakhouse reservations for a local gamble: The Capital Grille in Parsippany. Arriving around 5:00 PM, I was acutely aware that my attire screamed "gambling casualty" rather than "fine dining enthusiast." Mercifully, the staff showed elite restraint, ignoring my casual wardrobe with absolute grace. The hostess greeted us warmly, guiding us into an upscale, immaculate dining room. Looking around, you could see the floor staff moving with the quiet, focused intensity of an orchestra tuning up for the Saturday night rush. Our server, Carl, was an absolute professional. He navigated the menu with the kind of photographic memory that makes you wonder if he moonlights as a memory champion. We kicked off with appetizers: a rich, comforting clam chowder for her and the glazed thick-cut bacon for me. Both were exceptional. For the main event, I ordered the 22oz bone-in ribeye with porcini rub. It was prepared to absolute perfection, hitting that elusive, beautifully seared sweet spot right between rare and medium-rare (a precise temperature the culinary world calls Pittsburgh rare, or simply a perfect Kona sear). It easily tracks as one of the top three steaks I have ever had in the area. Because my girlfriend doesn't eat meat, she pivoted to a spread of sides, ordering the creamed spinach and the Sam's mashed potatoes (a decadent potato casserole). While the presentation was flawless, the flavor profiles didn't quite sweep her off her feet--a minor blemish on an otherwise stellar culinary run. The ambiance is fantastic, though you might want to pack a light jacket, as the indoor climate control was set to "meat locker. Yes, the bill requires deep pockets, but fine dining is a realm where you truly get what you pay for. The house always wins at the casino, but The Capital Grille felt like a massive victory. We will absolutely be back.

I love to see the American flag outside before walking up the stairs and just all the details of the decor and the warm and professional staff to welcome you is very special. The presentation is also very special. I went to a rehearsal dinner for our friends wedding on Friday, July 24, 2026. I do wish we knew the name of the waitress the evening of the rehearsal dinner because she was so calm, caring, efficient. The wooden decor here is so cozy and the food was made very well and it was fresh. During this particular visit, I enjoyed the salmon and others really raved about the beef dish they ordered. We loved it so much we went back after the rehearsal dinner for another evening. I can now proudly say that I know what it is like to dine here for a special occasion and for a date night. My favorite so far is the clam chowder. It is so delicious and one of the best I have had in a long time. The lobster rolls are very beautiful as well - lobster cooked perfectly and a great amount of seasoning for the fries and the lobster roll. One suggestion I would have is to have the lobster roll to be served with a tiny side salad with the french fries. I feel this would elevate the experience. They have an extensive drink menu and some beautiful craft cocktails. During the event, I was able to see all the different craft cocktails they ordered and they appeared to be exquisite. I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine and felt this paired with my dinner well. The banana bread is also very delicious and served with a lovely custard (I am not usually a fan of all custards). The banana bread, custard and vanilla ice cream was definitely a must try. If you go to Tabor Tavern, ask for Rolyn! Pure hospitality, wonderful energy, and took such good care of us. He kept checking in and provided a five star service but also feeling like a cozy family member checking in on you - quietly and calmly. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to returning with family, friends and date night. I wish the restaurant was a little closer and I am also excited to try the sister restaurants. God bless you all!
