A decent sushi place with better ramen/curry compared to other AYCE places in town. I think I prefer the ramen than the sushi here. The service is good, but the place is not big, you may experience long wait either for a seat or your food.

This is a new Japanese restaurant to me, I usually go ti a different restaurant in this same strip mall. You literally have to know how to arrive at this restaurant because it's location is tucked around a side one wouldn't think to go. Being I next to never go out of my way for ramen, this is a new experience for me. I wanted a simple tonkatsu ramen but the curry katsu ramen caught my eye instead. It was truly glorious, the taste was very appealing to me, it was not at all spicy but very good Japanese curry flavoring. The ramen noodles itself was abundant but a little disappointing for me, kinda of a eh feeling, I guess I've had so much ramin my earlier days that it really didn't do anything for me. The pork katsu was good but a little dry for me. Do ask for the katsu sauce , definitely makes a difference in enhancing the pork katsu. Yum none the less!

We found ourselves having lunch at Minato Sushi again; when our 4-person party approached the host's podium and were shown our table, I noted the restaurant wasn't too busy yet, so the host was able to comfortably seat us at a corner table. Once we received our round of drinks, we ordered a round of appetizers like the C.C., fried gyoza and baked mussels. Afterwards, we ordered some sushi like the mountain, King Kong, the Crunch Roll, a few habdrolls like the salmon skin and spicy tuna, and a few nigiris like the Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. All the food tasted delightful and the portions were just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to our next visit.

My brother and I was really craving noodles and saw this place has ramen. I wanted to try it since we were in the area and it sounds so good on a cold, chilly day. When we went inside, there was another group that was waiting for a table. Shortly after they were seated, someone finally greeted us and got us a table. They got our drink orders and gave us the menu. It took them a bit to come back to us and take our food orders. We ordered: - Spicy Sesame Ramen: This was not spicy even though it was very red in color. The ramen was a bit too soft for my liking. The pieces of meat were good though. - Curry Katsu Ramen: Tasted like exactly like curry. The Katsu came on a separate plate and it was very dry. I think it should have came with a sauce. On a different occasion, my friend and I came here for their all you can eat sushi. The sushi was also average and they have limits on certain things on the menu. Overall, the food and service were average. If I had the choice, I would not come here because there are so many other places to choose from.

Wow! I'm impressed by the quality of the fish they had with the salmon sashimi that I received. I'll admit I was also a little scared of the spicy sesame ramen at first because it was a glaring red, but it actually wasn't that spicy as someone with a low spice tolerance. It tasted great and I'd definitely come back here for that ramen. The service was good and the place seamed neat and clean. I also love that they have a student discount going on. I'd definitely come back!

One of my favorite sushi spots for nigiri The service was great this young man was very attentive kept coming by asking if we needed anything I enjoy the food Everytime I go. I have not really tried the ramen but now that the cold weather is coming around I think it's time. So I will update my review on that later on . Nigir salmon 100% amazing . Must try the c.c appetizer as well.

Full disclosure, I did not try the sushi aspect, I went on a cold night and got the spicy ramen. It was really good and the pork slices were delicious, it really hit the spot! I made the mistake, however, of adding shrimp which turned out to be a mess since they come in whole form (head, shell, legs) and so the ramen broth went everywhere trying to break it down. So don't make my mistake. Service is friendly, ambiance is a just okay - floors looked like run down concrete. But despite that, I will def go back anytime for the ramen!

Came back again to enjoy some ramen. Today's order was crazy man's ramen but instead I requested udon noodles. This combo is perfect for me! I got the number 5 spicy and it is VERY spicy; and I can handle spice. My wife ordered the black garlic sesame ramen, broth was delicious. Place is clean as usual. No issues. I have came here numerous times and I have to say, the food is really good. The only issue we had today was the service. Our male server was not very attentive. After dropping off the food, never came to check on us UNTIL I got attention from female waitress. After the female helped us, he then decided come over to ask if everything was okay. I told him "no because she's got it." I have seen him numerous times and every time we get him, it's always me having to hunt him down to even just get a water refill or our check. We might have to start requesting servers at this point. Food is a 4. Service today: 2.

When going for sushi, one must decide on quality or quantity. Rarely if ever would they ever be the same. This is an "ALL YOU CAN EAT restaurant (AYCE sushi). I normally avoid AYAC sushi. I try to keep an open mind and came here based on a friend's suggestion just to keep him happy. He is more of a quantity over quality kind of guy. They do not offer sushi bar seating. Interesting beer selection that included Modelo, Guinness and other non-Japanese beers. Strange on the menu, they are offering raw Tilapia (a fresh water fish) and selling it as Red Snapper (a salt water fish) One of the items I ordered was scallop nigiri sushi (Hotate). I'm not sure what I received instead and confirmed with the server that is what I received. It was not consistent with any Hotate I have ever been served. *(see photo). No fresh or real crab, only imitation crab they call "Krab". The gyoza was okay. Prices on beer were good. Parking was good. Restrooms were clean. Server was nice. I wasn't offered hot tea at the end of the meal. If your thing is "All you can eat", i suppose this could be your place. I think I will personally continue going to more traditional owner operated Japanese sushi bars.

Food was pretty good, we were there around 4, so wasn't busy, friendly service was good. Food was good.

Mixed veggie tempura was crunchy and the veggies was well cooked. The crazy dragon roll taste good and great value for the price. Loved the black garlic ramen it was awesome! Soup not too garlicky, not salty, the noodles was cooked well and the pork was tender with a little smokey taste. Service was great we was greeted when we came in and got our order pretty fast. The place is cozy, chill and clean.

This is a one and done for me for AYCE. Edit- one roll tastes like another is accurate. We probably should have read the reviews before we went. I'm glad I tried it to knock it off my list but I don't have a reason to go back. If you try it, keep your expectations low. You might be good getting a single roll to go. Maybe it was an off night. Atmosphere is kinda warm and cozy for the location but it was freezing inside. I had to bring in an extra jacket for my friend who got a table for us. It was a beautiful spring day today. One of our servers was Joseph and we didn't really see him too much. He didn't appear to have much interest and we waited a bit longer than we do at other places for our order sheet to get picked up. The rolls *were* made rather quickly and he did name each roll when they were delivered. That's helpful. They looked good but we didn't get much follow up on if everything *was good*, offers to take empty plates etc and no drink refill for my friend. All the plates we got were taken right before we left when we got the check. We thought we ordered 6 long rolls (we forgot to take one off and ordered 7). The guys making the rolls read the sheet pretty well as we didn't have any mistakes but the various fish, crab mix, even crystal shrimp were flavorless. The strongest flavor was the garlic mayo which we subbed for spicy mayo on a few rolls. The fried scallops on the Rainbow Blossom were very tasty though. We did our best to get through them (The Spider came when we were ready to leave) but we weren't going as fast as we hoped. Sometimes when we think we will have a few pieces left, both being from that "don't waste food generation" we'll ask about taking them and every place has been good about it even if the answer is a "sorry, no". We expect a no and if we get one, they're nice about it. This was honestly the first time we got a snarky "no" and nothing else from Joseph. It took us both aback but fit the disinterested vibe we had already been experiencing. It was almost joyful for him? The girl who was helping him was very nice though. The Spider came as we were getting ready to leave. Since we didn't cross it out, we tried to eat it because we felt bad but the soft shell crab they used was joint meat. It would have been better if we had crossed it off as we had intended. Overall, I think there are enough options for sushi in town that you won't miss skipping it. If you want to pick up a roll for a TOGO lunch, the Rainbow Blossom and the Crunch are tasty enough. The Spider is a "must miss" as the quality is meh. The others could be any other roll and you couldn't really tell the difference.

Firstly, I love the ambiance here. It is a relatively small space, with just a few tables and some bar spaces, so fairly intimate yet casual. Tucked back on west Fifth Street, it kind of feels like a little gem in this section of town. Also, the service here was like so beyond friendly and prompt. Major props go out to the owner and her staff for doign such bang-up work! And the price point for everything is really reasonable for the ramen bowls, and alright for appetizers. But enough about all that, let's delve into the food! My party and I snagged a couple large sapporos and some hot sake, and began the meal with some appetizers. The potstickers were yummy and the takoyaki were excellent. After that, we all got our assorted ramen selections. One of my friend liked the Shiro Ramen, andother went with Spicy and said it was great. But I went with the Miso Ramen, and it was simply outstanding. Delicious, full flavor, and served not so extra hot as I've experienced other places. Had to get a couple extra of those marinated soft boiled eggs, too, as I just love them! All told, I think this spot should be on anyone's radar for exceptional ramen in Reno. Definitely the noodle house I think that's hit the most top notches on my list. For sure will be returning.

Parking is fairly easy, with plenty of street spaces nearby, and an easy walk if you're already hanging around the neighborhood. The service was friendly and fairly prompt, and even for a weekday night the place was bustling, leading to a bit of a backup. Cool vibes all around, and it's neat to sit at the bar and watch the chefs do their thing. Though it does mean this is a little bit on the noisy side. Look at the menu, and there are tons of tempting options. As the name suggests, their specialty here is small plate off the grill or out fo the fryer. But they do serve really good-looking ramen, too, which I will make not to try next time I swing by. I at first went with a quick bite of grilled chicken thighs, which were just amazing! They were juicy, eprfectly seared, with some grilled green onions and an amazing sweet soy sauce. I also went with the yakionigiri, which are balls of rice that are grilled, brushed with sauce, and topped with a sort of mango slaw. A bit uncommon, but wow, these were also just so delicious! Also had a glass of sake, though they have a full bar should you want some other sort of beverage. Prices here are, I feel, a little on the higher end for small plates. However, I think it is definitely worth coming and trying this place out at least once or twice, just to expereince some of the good food. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally step through the doors, but I am certain I will be back again to try more of what's on the menu.
