My step daughter wanted to treat me to Sushi since we hadn't had a chance to go out for Father's Day. I won't say no to sushi. We walked in and first impressions are nice. A spacious design, clean it seems. a happy greeting. The chefs and some of the patrons were glued to the soccer game. No complaints. They took good care of us terms of timely service. Getting down to it though...I wasn't too happy with the flavor of the rolls. The Godzilla roll I had was served with tuna which I didn't expect. The menu does however the menu call for it to contain a "mixed assortment of fish". The tuna overpowered. It wasn't as flavorful as other places I had Godzilla rolls at. The rest of the rolls were just okay. The Honolulu was okay. The mango it was topped with didn't pop with the brightness of flavor I expected so it made the roll itself taste dull. The Tundra was good, same thing with the mango again. The shrimp and salmon in the roll tasted fresh so it made up for it. The Black Sunshine was unique with asparagus and the 2012 with spicy crab was decent. Overall I'll have to give it a three for now. The rolls being the star of the show didn't really shine. I'm willing to try them one more time in the in the future to see what's changed to give them a fair shake. read more

My only negative take away is the older woman who's in there after we were done eating and had handed the younger woman my card came over to inspect my food . I'm not going to lie, I was very skeptical when I stepped in and tried this place. This was the go to spot back in college because it was cheap and I was not a huge fan of sushi. They have upgraded the place and their price is definitely no longer cheap. I was seated right away when I came in. The sushi were pretty dang good, the nigiri tasted fresh and the rolls were delicious. I would say the rice ratio could be lessen a little bit but, overall still pretty good. The service was friendly and quick. They did add some new rolls and I'm not going to lie the oyster roll was not the greatest but, everything else was good. Love the Mountain roll, Jasons Handroll, and Donald Duck. Muscles are 6/10 and you only get 3 orders a person which is enough. If your a fan of quail egg shooters this is the place to go, that tang and spice is wonderfuly pleasant. I just don't get much joy from their sushi. Which is strange because I like sushi. I've ordered so many different rolls and none of them really seem to do it for me. It's all just okay. They do offer free beer and sake during the week and not many places where you can eat Chinese food from next-door and have it delivered inside where your partners are eating sushi. I wouldn't order any rolls or hand rolls à la cart for they are rather small but if you get all you can eat, you're fine. they offer stamped cards after a couple visits when your card is full you're entitled to half off of your next sushi meal.. I tried to remind them a few times, but I eventually gave up. They even brought us the wrong bill at the end, even though the restaurant wasn't busy in the middle of the week, so I couldn't understand what was happening. We were accused of everyone wanting to eat the sushi and actually not one of the 4 people would touch that with a ten foot pole! We have since gone to Tokoyo Sushi with no problems! A group of three of us came for lunch on a Sunday. There was room at the bar, but one person in our party needed to sit at a table, so we were happy to do so. We were served rather quickly and placed our drink order. We filled out our order sheet for AYCE to place our food order. We started receiving items from our order within 10 minutes and had our full order within the next five minutes. The sushi was delicious! We ordered Mickey Mouse, Donald duck, salmon, yellowtail, upside down shrimp, unagi, and mackerel. All the fish was extremely fresh with the portion size being just right where each piece was a perfect bite. The Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were perfect. Donald Duck had a perfect slice of salmon, lemon, avocado, crab, and a dab of Sriracha. Mickey Mouse was also perfect. It had tuna, avocado, crab, and a dab of Sriracha. All the rest of the Nigiri was delicious. After this, the service really suffered. One person asked for water and it took two requests to finally get it. We filled out the second sheet for just a couple of rolls and we had to make an effort to flag them down for them to take the order. Other reviews have expressed the same thing. Service is lacking after the majority of the food has been brought to the table. I would recommend that if you are going to sit at a table, to place the majority of your order on the first round. It should come out quickly. Overall, I would say that the quality and flavor of the food is five stars. Everything was delicious and fresh. The service however, is 3 to 3 1/2 stars. We finally got to try Sushi Rose a few weekends ago with some friends, it was the perfect meet in the middle spot! We ordered all you can eat, of course. Everything was quick and fresh and tasty. The size of the rolls were good, however, the one star missing is for lack of originality. It felt like all the rolls had the same base role with varying stuff on top. Not a ton of excitement and variation in flavors from one roll to the next. Service was friendly although we did have to ask for some of our appetizers a few times, and I never got my quail egg shooters after several requests. Today I was craving some yummy seared tuna and salmon and got a friend to come along. Hands down, Sushi Rose has the best sake and beer special. With the purchase of an All-You-Can-Eat sushi, you get unlimited FREE sake or beer Monday through Thursday! I have not found any other sushi place in town that offers that. We started off with some yakiton and pop sticker appetizers. I love the combo of the yakiton's cream cheese mixture paired with the sweet and sour like dipping sauce. My go-tos with the nigiri sushi are seared tuna, salmon, white tuna, yellowtail, and BBQ eel. My pics don't do justice but hopefully you can see the freshness as the quality is there. My go-to long rolls are The Chao, Tiger, and Reno and tonight we tried a new roll called, Honolulu. Tonight was no different than any other visit, and EVERYTHING was delicious. We ended our evening with my favorite dessert, tempura banana with ice cream. Even though I'm overly stuffed, I somehow manage to eat all my dessert because that's how good it is that I don't want to waste one bit! Affordable and delicious! Coming home from a road trip this place was highly rated and it did not disappoint. Such a wide variety of rolls and nigiri. If you get to try this place get the mussels they were my favorite appetizer. When you arrive you can sit at the bar at a table we got a table in the back and it was quaint and fairly quiet with some ambient music in the background. We also went of a Monday where they run a free beer and sake deal if you get all you can eat which I mean, who could ask for more. The staff was pleasant. We always enjoy a quiet lunch in the middle of the week avoiding all the heads. We have been coming here since 2020. The Monday sake and beer special is always a plus as well and we have noticed the price has gone up a little in the five years we have been going but they do an excellent job . High quality sushi, the sushi chefs always accommodate with our requests and we tip them accordingly. I have noticed many patrons that go here do not tip! over eat on the all-you-can-eat! drink water or soda!! It's disgusting to see that type of person eating next to us, that's why we go in the afternoon when there's nobody there and we can enjoy our sushi in style with beer sake and we don't mind paying for it either because the quality of the sushi is very good. The food was absolutely fantastic! I went there for the first time last night and I was amazed by the flavors of everything from the miso and pot stickers to all of the sushi rolls that we got. Everything tasted fresh. I don't think I have had miso that tastes like real dashi in town before. The miso soup had a deep umami fish flavor that all of the other misos in town lack. They clearly put time, care and fresh ingredients into their dishes. The staff was friendly fast and efficient. They were always one step ahead of what we needed. The staff ensure comfort and care throughout your whole experience. Overall all the food, staff, and overall experience at this restaurant was perfect and I would gladly go back with family and friends. Especially on birthdays!
