Recently stopped by this place for takeout. It's solid, but not without its faults. I ordered the Steak Teriyaki Bowl with white rice and stir fry vegetables. It was good, not great. The teriyaki flavor was nice, but the steak was a bit overcooked. The service here was outstanding. The food was ready in minutes. The employee at the counter carefully wiped the bowl down before putting it in the bag and handing it to me. That was a nice touch. I do have to point out that the fountain machine needs to be better maintained. When I tried to dispense Pepsi soda, only clear liquid came out. Had to settle for the Mug root beer. I know, I know. Teriyaki Madness is a Five Star fantastic local healthy restaurant for an amazing Teriyaki bowl, vegetables and rice. It is not, fresh and fantastic. I also ordering a drink and one of Sandy's Amazing Cookie. Pricing was great, customer service from Blake was wonderful and Rick the Owner came out with a see if we all enjoyed our lunches. Nice and easy spot for dinner Been coming here since they opened and I can say they are overall pretty good. The location is quite small with only a few area for indoor seating but it is very clean inside and everytime I'm in there I always see the person working the register cleaning the lobby to make sure it's spotless. The food is very consistent and is always what I'm looking for when I'm craving some good teriyaki chicken. We finally tried this place yesterday and it is SOO good! Not only was the food fresh and the flavor amazing, the customer service was on point. Food was fresh and good flavor overall for a quick bite near campus. I had the protein bowl with chicken and the veggies portion was a bit small. The orange chicken here has better flavor than Panda Express and the rice portion was good. I've had their salmon and their spicy options and they're pretty good too. Rolled into Teriyaki Madness off South Virginia starving the kind of hunger that makes you question your life choices. The second I walked in, the smell hit me like a right hook of soy, garlic, and sweet heat. The crew behind the counter was all smiles, sharp, fast, and actually seemed to care rare these days. No attitude, no chaos, just smooth operation and good vibes. I went with the Spicy Double Teriyaki with fried rice, and man... that bowl came out piping hot, glossy like it just stepped out the sauna. First bite? Sweet, smoky, and mean that spice creeps up and sets up camp on your tongue, but you don't want it to stop. The rice was fried right crisp edges, soft middle, soaking in all that lava-sweet sauce like it was built for it. For a big man who can put away a serious meal, this hit different. I left full, sweating a little, but happy that post-meal calm when you know you just had something real. No gimmicks, no corporate nonsense, just honest food made hot and made right. The teriyaki steak bowl was ... and this isn't an exaggeration ... more fat and gristle than meat. I threw over half of it in the garbage because it was inedible. This wasn't a mistake since there's no way the cook didn't see the huge ribbons of fat on the meat. I won't be back. read more

I placed an order for curbside via the app. I got the split protein bowl with the spicy beef and the chicken Katsau with white rice and veggies. There was a big enough portion for 2 people or maybe one if your super hungry. Veggies didn't have much flavor but was cooked nicely. The white rice was very soft and clumpy... probably wouldn't go with that next time. Spicy beef had a lil kick to it and was very flavorful and tender, the chicken was dry, but had good crunch.. they provided some teriyaki sauce to pour or dip it in so there was some juice. Being curbside I thought they would bring it to me in my car. I was parked right in front and they had seen me, then placed my order in a shelf so I went in and got it. Then the guy said he had looked on the computer to see if I was there yet.... But I never saw him as I was watching them the whole time. The place was empty as it was off hours between lunch and dinner... but that didn't make the service any better. Really disappointed in this restaurant. This new location is very small, so I would recommend ordering take out, or order ahead, but that may take a while. They say my order will be ready in 10minutes, but expect longer. The lunch rush was the worst when I went! So many people cramped in this small location. The staff wasn't really pleasant either, when I asked questions about their menu. Rather, they seemed annoyed at my questions and made me feel unwelcomed and as an annoyance as a customer. My friends food arrived 10 minutes after we sat, my order took nearly three times the amount of time only to be delivered less than warm. This place is a fast food style place with 5 cooks and one person in the front register. The front counter girl was excellent and offered a cookie to tie me over. Saw this place while in Reno for a baseball tournament, I bookmarked it and today we came between games to try it out. I had the Large Teriyaki bowl with brown rice and veggies and it was delicious. The spot was clean, with plenty of tables for guest to stay a day eat and a pick up counter for to go orders, the service was fast and friendly. Gotta be a joke right? "Spicy" steak was sliced thin and might as well have been a flavored eraser same as the chicken. The vegetables tasted as if the came from the bottom of a garbage disposal after a busy day and the fried rice tastes the same. I tried teriyaki madness recently and it's my favorite quick lunch or dinner go to. The chicken and vegetables always seems fresh and although the service sometimes takes a bit longer here for a faster food restaurant it is worth it. I usually opt to pay more for the chicken breast instead of the thigh and that is just my preference. I recently discovered they have noodles as well as rice or fried rice instead of just the plain white rice that you can add to your bowls. So good! read more

WOW! Absolutely wow! We prefer this location over the one by the Summit. We have been coming here since its opening day earlier this year, and the food is so much more fresh. I typically get a junior sized (the portions are very generous) bowl, spicy chicken teriyaki, and I get it yaki style. This location, it tastes so much better and the noodles aren't soggy. We adore the employees at this location, they care, and they put in so much extra effort. They are so inviting, and they make sure that you're taken care of. An added bonus is how CLEAN and inviting this location is. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean, the seating was clean, and you can tell that they maintain their soda machines and clean them frequently. It's a stark difference from the Summit location, but I implore you to try this one over the latter. The owners care, and they will give you the best experience and the best bowls. read more

Had such great service from a young man with longer hair. Not sure his name, but he worked tonight Monday 7pm. He was cleaning the whole time, while also helping guests. Then when I left, I forgot my purse, he ran it out to me and said have a good night. Most youngens aren't cleaning or have the awareness and kindness to get a purse back to the owner. Went in with a coupon, "free bowl with a purchase of a bowl and 2 drinks". Customer service was alright. Music was playing low while we sat, we told the cashier if they could recook the chicken, it seems that they just put it in the fryer again. We overheard one of the cooks saying "well the chicken is cooked". It clearly wasn't, in the pictures you could see that the chicken is still raw with slight blood. (Keep in mind that's after they put it in the fryer for a 2nd time) Luckily I got it for free but kinda defeats the purpose of a free bowl, I got the steak bowl which was pretty good. read more

The food was good, the chicken wasn't dry, the veggies were a little soggy, and there was lots of juice in the bottom of the bowl. I assume if you got it with rice, it would be better as the rice would soak up the juice. The service was quick to order, but it did take a while to actually get my meal. They said 10 minutes, but it took 15. At least I knew it was fresh. There is limited seating, and we had to wait for a table to free up to sit down. We went into this business and noticed they had tons of online orders and phone orders. They gave us water while we waited, which I thought was nice. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant was small, but no one was eating in. The prices were pretty good around $10 a meal. It was a fast food setting with a few tables should you decide to eat in. I ordered 4 large bowls thinking that their large portion was going to be on the smaller portion, but their large bowls are actually large. Their chicken katsu was huge. And their sides are decently portioned too, which you get to pick and choose which ones. The 3 bowls I ordered were spicy beef teriyaki. All 4 bowls I opted for white rice and steamed veggies for sides. My chicken katsu was alright and they accommodated my request to have the teriyaki sauce on the side. As for the spicy beef teriyaki, my kids said was really good. As I mentioned, their large bowl lives up to its size that we ended up having left over for another meal. I haven't even been served my food and it is already a ZERO star experience. The girl taking the orders has the English competency of a West Virginian who has just been kidnapped from the deepest and darkest hollow. I had to have her repeat EVERYTHING she said as absolutely nothing was intelligible the first time she said it. Both meals were delivered in covered containers with the word 'Orange' handwritten on the lids. I took them Mack to the counter and was informed that contents were not 'Orange chicken' and the lids were left over from a catering offer. WTF. The white rice was in a word 'AWFUL.' The rice at Popeye's I had yesterday was better. With regards to the Salmon Teriayaki - there was one piece, perhaps 4" square. The salmon was dry; very dry. The chicken was okay. As a finally blow to this establishments credibility, the counter person brought her two kid to the restaurant today. To add to the ambience, they were playing video games with Lou's sound effects. A cook or someone from back of house was incredibly offputting as we ate. He was berating the kid at the front about not knowing details of Pearl Harbor and started to talk about his conservative politics. I felt so bad for this sweet kid who actually came to check on us after this man yelled at him. Having your own political opinions is fine but yelling them loudly while customers can hear is super odd.
