I came here after a super hot day in Atlanta. I sat at the bar. Everyone was friendly and attentive. I ordered a margarita and it didn't disappoint. I also ordered fish tacos to eat. My order was taking some time. The bartender was very apologetic and offered me guacamole. That guac was so good! Omg! It was so fresh. I definitely plan to visit again
Minero burrito steak bowl was good. Catfish tacos were good but missing flavor and a really good sauce. My fiancé ordered a kids cheese and steak quesadilla. It came huge, after eating we asked the waiter if it was a kids quesadilla he said no we told him we ordered a kids quesadilla, my fiancé even pointed to it and he basically lied and said oh I only heard quesadilla and we don't serve kids menu to adults, however that was clearly not communicated at the time of the order and instead of apologizing he just made excuses. Atmosphere is nice but service could've better with better clear communication and properly handling mistakes that were made on their part
Definitely a vibes place with some outdoor covered seating as well as indoor seating. Chips/salsa/guac were just classic and tasted fresh. Food came out pretty quickly. I got the al pastor burrito and I think the construction of it was not the best. It had a cheese skirt on the outside of it, but didn't really crisp up or had much flavor. The al pastor that I'm used to comes off a trompo and crisped up. This was more like carnitas and stringy and kinda dry. Most of the guac was at one end of the burrito so one half was dry and the other half was full of guac. Didn't have much flavor but was a huge burrito. The quesadilla or the tacos might have been a better choice here
So we stumbling in here because we were looking for some tacos and some margaritas. It was a pretty cool vibe. They have an indoor and an outdoor situation so you can actually catch a breeze on a nice day or stay in and sit at the bar or any of the other tables as well. I had a margarita and a couple of tacos. The tacos are pretty good, they have a couple of sauces on the table for you to try. Standard and typical green hot sauce and red hot sauce. I tried the shrimp, the pastor, and carne asada. All the tacos are good. Nothing out of the box, it was typical street taco size but they were still pretty good.
Quick Dinner for 2 We were headed to a show in the area and were looking for a good pre show dinner. We entered Ponce City Market, checked out a few of the food hall options and decided on Minero. Where was this Mexican place hiding? We had been to Ponce many times and I even surprised myself that I had never been here before, especially since I love Mexican food. We entered the restaurant and read the sign on the podium instructing us to wait to be seated. I could see the host walking towards us with menus in hand. He led us to a small table for two in the back. Our server quickly came by and dropped off water as we quickly reviewed the menu. There were plenty of good food and specialty drink options with about 10 different beer choices. When the server returned, we were ready to order because we were in a rush to eat before the show. Wifey and I both ordered the Pacifico beer and for food we both decided to go with a couple of tacos. Wifey ordered two Al Pastor pork tacos and I ordered one Ancho Chicken and one Al Pastor. The beers came out quickly and the food came out soon after, very fast. We started digging in, and I went for the pork taco first. It was delicious and tasted like the meat had been slow cooked for hours. The Ancho chicken was good too, with a little spicy kick, but the Al Pastor was my favorite of the two. One minor annoyance was there were a few gnats flying around, so we had to constantly cover our food and drinks. The table next to us also was waving and shooing the gnats. Overall, we really enjoyed our 1st trip to Minero. Our server was very attentive, and the atmosphere was nice with lively latin music playing in the background. We will definitely come back to try some other food and drink options.
Inside of the Ponce City Market, this restaurant with its killer margs, patio seating, and scrumptiously seasoned fare, is a jewel. The food items may seem few on the menu but the portions are so plentiful that even if there is only two amigas to share the Tres Amigos Sampler or you are the lone compadre at your table, this is the place you want to satiate your hunger. 3 Amigos Sampler: Their roja salsa is smoky, smooth, and so good-- the flavors burst onto your taste buds and hits every taste sensation. Pairs well with the seasoned chips. This salsa is great for you non-spice eaters or those prone to easy heartburn. The cheese is mildly spiced and held its liquid state very well even in the cooler weather of the outdoor patio. The guacamole is so fresh and creamy. And you really, cannot stop eating this, even after your food comes out. My friend had the burrito-- it's massive. It easily weighed 5 lbs and it had so much packed in-- she only ate 1/4th of it before packing it to go. I had the 5 cheese quesadilla and OMG it was like the best grilled cheese with steak. We both had XL frozen house margs which were so so so good. We had great service from a very attentive waiter. We were also able to spy on the food that was ordered by the table next to us. They ordered the wings and you get tableside shake&coat service. Amazing, the level of intentionality and detail that goes into your tasting experience. There was only one issue that I had from the whole experience and that was, unless you were directly in front of the host/hostess stand, they didn't "see" you. (The only reason we were far away from it is because we were standing near the "please wait to be seated" sign to allow passage for the ppl exiting the restaurant.) But this was easily remedied once we figured that out. And it's obvious from the rating above, that it didn't have much of an impact. If you are in the area, this is worth the parking fee.
I love Minero! I've been here a couple times and each time the food and service is great. I love that you can choose to eat inside or outside in their little patio and the food comes out quick. During this visit I had the elote, crispy shrimp tacos, and a house margarita. This is one of my favorite places to recommend for people in Atlanta. In my photo, the taco was so good I forgot that the phone eats first lol
Minero at Ponce City Market did not disappoint! We scored a beautiful day in Atlanta, and outdoor seating was the goal... it was perfect for people-watching (my favorite activity). The service was excellent, attentive without hovering, and our water glasses stayed full (a small thing, but it matters!). I started with the drink of the day: a spicy margarita that hit all the right notes. So good, I had to get another. (Yes, I was day drinking. No judgment!) For lunch, I went with the elote and three tacos: two catfish and one steak. The catfish tacos were flavorful with a great crunch.. my only wish was for just a bit more sauce. The steak taco? Absolute heaven. And the elote? Creamy, cheesy, and grilled to perfection. Minero gave everything it needed to give. I'll definitely be back.

The chicken quesadilla was amazing. The cheese baked on top of the tortilla made it mouthwatering. It was an intimate spot and service was quick. Although you cannot sit in booth unless your party is 3 or more. Seating is limited. read more

Nice outdoor seating, food came out quick, service was good. The salsa sampler was fun to try! The benne (Sweet and spicy), what's the best one! The salsa verde was very disappointing. House traditional salsa was good. Catfish taco was disappointing. read more
If there were half stars, I would definitely give 3.5. Minero was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. I dined with a party of 3, and we sat outside. It was a nice night, but we noticed something was off and there was no music. The lack of background music just made the patio feel desolate. The waiter was prompt to take our drink orders, but the cocktail took much longer to arrive than the other drinks. Speaking of the Paloma, it was the worst Paloma I've had. Just tasted like a watered down grapefruit juice. The chips and queso were ok, but the chips had a burnt taste. The salsa sampler was ok. The entrees were the best part of the meal, the handmade tortilla used in the tacos was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken more than the pork, which was too greasy. Overall a decent dinner, but i doubt I will return. read more
My traveling companion had raved about his pre-pandemic visit to Minero and insisted that we had lunch there while at the Ponce City Market. The restaurant was pretty empty during our weekday visit, so we were instantly able to get a table in their outdoor area. The courtyard table was very pleasant, though our server seemed disinterested in taking care of us. In fact, we even had to ask for our silverware and water. Since we were on vacation, we decided to have a cocktail with our lunch. My Mezcal Margarita was smoky and generic. However, my pal's House Margarita, which included reposado and añejo tequilas, fresh lime, fresh orange juice, curaçao, and agave was way too sweet; it was pretty unappealing actually. The addition of the orange just did not blend properly. When it came to the food, we both decided to get the same 3 tacos, which were served on house-made corn tortillas. In fact, we were thrilled that we were able to mix-and-match the varieties on our plates. The Charcoal Chicken taco included pickled red onion, cotija cheese, spicy pepper, and cilantro. The poultry was bland and dry, making it my least favorite of the group. The Al Pastor Pork one was also a bit dry, but loaded with flavor! The meat was very well-seasoned, and the toppings of charred pineapple, white onion, avocado purée, and cilantro added various infusions of sweetness, zest, and more. Lastly, the Cauliflower taco was our favorite. The vegetable had been glazed in a salsa macha chili oil and was covered with raw red onion, cotija cheese, and cilantro. The cauliflower was perfectly cooked and really packed a punch of boldness. Our meal at Minero was fine, but it fell short of the rave reviews that my companion had provided. He also felt that it, sadly, did not live up to his memories. read more

We decided to try here as it was the only place my friend hasn't tried. We were seated quickly and the host was pleasant. I wouldn't say I really enjoyed our waiter. When we sat the people on the table next to us food looked amazing and we ordered what they had. We got the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was guacamole but the chips were honestly great. We got the Al pastor tacos. I honestly wasn't impressed. The tortillas were great and the meat was not dry. There was a pineapple on it which was interesting. We decided to ad guacamole to the the taco and it made it 100x better like the tacos were just missing something. I would like to return and try other things the quesadillas looked great but because I'm gluten free I couldn't get it. It looked great and the girl on the next table said it was "bussin" The restaurant was pretty loud so not a spot for an intimate dinner as the tables were really close together. read more
Yes, this place was a whole vibe!!! We dined in the outside patio area so we could people watch and let me tell you... there was so much to see, the world is so beautiful with so many different people! I love it.... Imagine if we were all the same???? How boring would that be! Ok, back to my margarita-lol! I will just say this: you will only need one! They are cold and strong and sweet and GOOD! The best way to describe my quesadilla is: Yummy! It was super satisfying and filling! The chopped green peppers and onions were right on point! There was no wait and we were seated at a high top table for four. We did not get any chips until we ordered the queso. Frozen margarita was great. I ordered the steak burrito bowl and my partner ordered the chicken quesadilla. I was brought a chicken burrito bowl instead of steak. Waiter had to reorder my steak bowl which took a little while as my partner had fished his meal before I got mine. The chicken quesadilla was watery with chicken still having fat on its. Very disappointed. My steak burrito was satisfactory for flavor but I'm not sure how the steak was crumbled into small chunks. Our service was poor and the waiter got us a to go box but we had to ask for a bag. read more

This was my first time dining at the Ponce City Market and there were so many choices, but tacos are still my favorite go-to! I ordered from the host station and the hostess was nice and helpful. My order: the Al Pastor Pork and Steak Tacos, along with a side of rice and beans! I will say they are a little pricey as you can only order the lunch special($14 for two tacos) if you dine in, but it's a food hall so you can sit and eat anywhere. It didn't take long for my order and it was so good! Some of best tacos I've had in awhile. The Al Pastor Pork was my favorite with a combination of sweet and savory! The pineapple was a nice touch. I enjoyed my rice too, but the beans were a little tough and could have cooked a little longer. Overall good flavor and quick service! read more
This restaurant is in the middle of the Ponce City Market. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is on a covered patio with really fun, vibrant decor. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered margaritas and they were strong and tasty as well. The service was lightning speed and we got our food within 10 minutes of sitting. If you're ever in Atlanta and want a place where you can eat, drink, and shop then this is the place for you! Highly recommend! . read more
It had been a while since my friend and I had been to Ponce City Market, so when she asked me if I wanted to have lunch at one of the spots neither one of us had been to yet, I said yes! A heads up for those who have never been: parking can be crazy, and you have to pay to park in the lower garage where most of the spots tend to be available. It can get pricy and a bit overwhelming depending on the time of day and day of the week you go. I arrived first and my friend met me inside shortly thereafter. We met each other in front of Minero, which was one of the places we had discussed yesterday, so it seemed like fate. It took a bit longer than expected to be seated because we weren't sure exactly how it worked. We were standing in what we thought was the line but found out it was the pickup line. People started lining up on the other side so we hopped over to the back of that line. The host moved efficiently though, seating us quickly with the choice of outside or inside. We picked outside because it was a beautiful day. The ambiance is colorful and fun. For my drink, I chose the spicy Margarita. It has a nice punch to it and surprisingly the one drink I had gave me a little buzz. I loved the taste and couldn't stop licking the tajín rim. For our appetizer, we shared the "three amigos" chips with salsa, queso, and guacamole. It was really cool that they gave us each our own bag of chips. For my entree, I got the lunch taco platter: cauliflower taco & charcoal chicken taco (as recommended by our server) with white rice and beans. The food came out extremely fast and service was attentive. As for tastes, my favorite food item was the cauliflower taco. It had a lot of great flavors in it, and the tortilla was very stable which was a nice contrast to the corn tortillas I've had other places that just crumble apart. I really enjoyed the chips as well. While I typically prefer a thinner chip, they were seasoned really nicely. Honestly, the queso was not the best I've had and I didn't think the guacamole or salsa were that stellar either. Same goes for the rice and beans. The chicken taco was pretty good too but not as good as the cauliflower. All in all, great service and good food. read more

We tried out this taco place since we were in Ponce city market and the coffee shop workers recommended it to us! We had the chicken and steak tacos for the 2 for $11 deal and they were so flavorful!!! Also loved all the bright colors! Definitely a high quality taco and good choice among many in this market! We loved eating here mostly because it was fun to eat in the market! read more
This place had a great ambience with great service, but unfortunately thats where the greatness stopped. I was not a fan of the food or drinks. I had a chicken quesadilla that was pretty soggy and lacked flavor. I also didn't realize they used baked chicken rather than grilled which was a little odd for me. I will say the elote ans guac were pretty tasty and the best part of the meal. I had a frozen strawberry margarita that tasted more like than sweet and sour mix than anything else. I also had a white sangria that I enjoyed. Overall I was just disappointed by the food. read more
We joined our daughter's family for dinner. It was fun. The atmosphere was upbeat. The food was really good - I had a bean and cheese quesadilla. I loved the cheese grilled on the outside of the quesadilla. It added a nice crispy flavor. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. My only slight negative were the chips. Personally I prefer a lighter chip. Everyone left happy! read more
This place was just okay all around. Service was nice but didn't really leave room to ask questions about the menu or drinks. The menu felt really weird. Chips and Salsa were not included and also very overpriced for the amount you get. You're essentially paying for sauces. As someone who can make homemade tortillas chips, I know these were not fresh and tasted like they had been sitting out for quite some time. Also the sauces were odd and the server/runner did not say which sauce was which. The Quesdillas were super greasy. I mean it was dripping in grease and oil. Would not recommend. Tacos did not come out hot and there was barely any meat on the chicken taco. Queso fundido was fine but they didn't serve it hot. So as you imagine, the cheese was pretty hard and not gooey like I've had it at other questions. Also, I ordered one of the Strawberry Wan drinks. Came in a small cup packed with ice and no refills for $8. Overall, the experience was just okay. I would not return. I feel like you would be better off ordering food in a strip mall where you would pay 1/3 price and get delicious hot and fresh food. With the food being so greasy, we packed up most to go. Location is great because I was able to explore the rest of the mall. And we were pretty close enough to check out other food choices in the mall for drinks and ice cream. read more
I came here on a Thursday for dinner. I was quickly greeted by the host and sat at a table. The restaurant was packed and music was very loud. The waiter was able to find me and brought me a margarita to start off. I was hoping for some chips and salsa but didn't receive any. I ordered the chicken burrito. It came out quickly. It was very large and filing which was great. It was packed with flavor which I appreciated. The best thing here is the drinks. The margarita I ordered was strong and delicious. I ordered another one because it was so good. The table next to me appreciated the flavored margaritas they received which was a good sign. The food was great as well. The music was a little loud for my taste. The location is great as you can leave and still be surrounded by other drink and dessert options. I had a great time here at Minero. read more

Set in the very popular, Ponce City Market, or PCM for short, Minero is definitely an option to highly consider amongst the sea of restaurants you can choose from. Minero attempts to provide an elevated Mexican experience which certainly separates itself from authentic Mexican cuisine im familiar with. Freshness is present throughout the meal with the taco options I chose; catfish, al pastor and chicken, which are all very good. If I had it guess, I'd assume the tortillas are made in-house or at least locally because those have freshness you cannot buy at your local supermarket. The frozen margaritas are awesome too! I got to try the strawberry and the blueberry-tamarindo. I will for sure be back... if not for the food, definitely the drinks. read more

Minero is located in Ponce City Market. A friend and I decided to try this place on a whim because Mexican is usually a sure thing. We were seated quickly, which was a pleasant surprise---PCM is always packed, so we thought there would be a long wait. However, the seating is very intimate--the tables were very close to one another, and we could hear our neighbors' conversations a little too well! Our waitress and the service overall wasn't the best. She didn't tell us her name, ask us if this was our first time, explain the menu, etc. She just asked us what we wanted to drink, and we felt kinda rushed. The food and drinks came out quickly, however, so that was a plus! I got a frozen mango margarita with Tajín on the rim--delicious! We ordered the salsa tasting as an appetizer, which consisted of classic salsa, salsa verde, and a sweet and Smokey one that I had never tried. They were great! Chips were thick and good. My friend ordered a quesadilla, which was huge, and I ordered the taco plate (catfish, chicken, and steak). The catfish was the best one, but the others didn't have much flavor. Overall, this place lacked friendly service and the food was a underwhelming. However, the drinks and salsa were pretty good. I'd recommend it as a shopping pit stop or a spot for happy hour at the bar. read more

The ambiance is great...really nice spot and my server was great and friendly too. However the food was kind of bleh! This taco had a sprinkled cheese ok it that smelled as though it was expired. Ironically it didn't taste bad, but it smelled bad. Not my favorite tacos I've ever had, but I would return and try a different item off of the menu. read more

This was a solid choice for dinner. I had the steak tacos, my brother had the al pastor tacos, and we each had a frozen margarita. The tacos were great, the atmosphere was lively, music was good and the margs were strong and not too sweet. If you're at Ponce City market hungry, Minero is a safe bet for some good Mexican food. read more
Stumbled on this place while perusing ponce city market. It was busy but we were able to snag seats at the bar. They have a great tequila selection and the bartender made me the best margarita. I'm not vegan but the cauliflower taco that the girl next to me ordered smelled amazing. I'd love to come back and try the food. read more
Located inside Ponce City market, I got the steak and Al pastor tacos and they were delicious! It's a little overpriced for tacos but makes sense for the price range in the area. The service was great, but it was a little too loud in my opinion. Not the best place for a conversation essentially. These are more so observations than they are complaints and overall I would recommend this place! read more
The ambiance is mid it's just a regular taco shop but mind you we're sitting outside and there's no music. The tacos were good but to me had too much sauce but they were filling. The service was FAST so s/o to the employees cause they ate that! read more

I haven't dined here in forever and I'm glad that nothing much has changed since my last visit. We came here for lunch and there was no hostess to sit us at a table, so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was still setting up for the day so she was a bit slow but once she dropped off menus, everything came pretty quick. I opted for the lunch taco plate ($14) that came with 2 tacos of your choice, rice and refried beans. I ordered the cauliflower and chicken tacos. Not even 10 mins later, we got our order. My personal favorite between the two was the cauliflower since I liked the sauce it was served with in top. Chicken had a nice smoky flavor as well. The corn tortillas here are always so good too. read more

Solid casual mexican restaurant at the front of Ponce with outdoor seating. They have several options for street tacos, quesadillas and burritos (which are massive and apparently pretty good). The queso here is fire, with peppers in it (option to get chorizo added), and yummy seasoned homemade tortilla chips (still warm)! I had the two tacos: fried catfish (decent, could have used a bit more seasoning) and the steak taco (tender, well seasoned and refreshing with cilantro), and a refreshing frozen strawberry margarita with salt on the rim -- was SO tasty! I met up with my cousin at Mineros per her recommendation. The chorizo question was absolutely phenomenal. We also enjoyed catfish tacos. The service was top tier; the staff triaged so the service was A-mazing! Amir (I believe that's his name) was so personable; he made great tequila suggestions. Everyone at the bar was hospitable. The strawberry margarita was delicious. I also tried strawberry mixed with mango. That was yummy, too. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. Verdict: I would definitely return! read more
Service was quick,The took was good. However the Queso is very spicy so we were unable to finish it. The Chicken and a cheese Quesadilla was a lot better than the Charcoal Chicken Quesadilla; which was greasy and the pickled onions and peppers over powered the quesadilla. We pardon Minero every time we go to Ponce City Market and yesterday was no different. Unfortunately yesterday experience was very unpleasant due to our server being extremely rude the whole visit. Issel walked up to the table and immediately asked if we're ready to order. She didn't ask for a drink order. My daughter asked for a Dr. Pepper and she immediately said we only have coke products. We dismissed her being short and rude. This was my daughter first experience at Ponce City and I wanted her to have a great time. As the meal continued things didn't get better, but we continued on laughing and having a great time. I thought maybe Issel is having a bad day. She didn't seem friendly with her other tables so we didn't feel singled out. I tipped her 15% even though I wanted to tip 0%. I was a server and understand the industry. When I was closing my tab out I asked for a receipt which you can normally text immediately. Not sure what happened,but the text feature did not come up on the screen. Instead of Issel letting me know she had to go get the receipt from the front she walked away and said nothing. She went to the table behind me and when she passed our table I asked her for the receipt again. This is when she decided to be flat out rude and tell me she had to go get the receipt with a major attitude. I quickly asked for a manager to remove my tip! The manager came over and said she told me her side of the story now what's yours? I will not even go through the remaining of the conversation. This restaurant needs some serious training in customer service. Thank you for the horrible experience with my daughter. You never know why people are visiting your restaurant and how important the experience is for them. Try to step out of self and provide the service customers are coming to receive. This is a cool spot located within the food hall of Ponce City Market. I've visited Minero several times with a group of friends after our Tuesday Night Run and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the food every time we went. My favorite has been the burrito bowl both the steak and chicken. My friends have raved about the quesadillas and the salad bowls. Good taste, nice vibe and great location, if you're at Ponce City Market or enjoying a stroll on the Beltline this is a spot worth visiting, you'll enjoy the food! read more
These are definitely some of the most yummy tacos I've ever had. Fried catfish was delectable and the cauliflower tacos came with a great peanut sauce. I really enjoyed each bit. The cheese dip was good but I rather wish we got guac. read more
I had dinner here with the family on a ponce city market walk. There was a 45 minute wait for inside dining so we opted for takeout. After scanning the QR code we ordered from the menu. A mix of burritos for the kids and Quesadillas for us along with chips/queso. Lets say the food was spectacular! The order took longer than the eta on our receipt so I docked a star but the food and service were great. Ambiance was like a crowded Mexican street vibe in Juarez but we took our take out to the open air court yard for a bit of fresh city air. read more

This food was fantastic. It must try was the corn on the cob the flavor and every single bite was fantastic. The drinks were made to perfection. You could tell that the barista loves her job. The tacos are fantastic. The meat is flavored to perfection because I live in Chicago, I am bias for the tortillas because we have the best tortillas on the planet, but they still got the job done cute small customer service was great. They even have a patio for you to sit outside but I must try when in Atlanta if you're looking for some tasty Mexican food, this is a spot. read more
