What's not to love about ponce city market on the belt line? Absolutely nothing. Minero is inside the market. Keep in mind if you park in and around the market expect to pay for parking. They have inside and outside seating, QR code to avoid handling the menu, and sanitizer to boost your confidence in being outside again. Decor is fun and kind of transports you. One of my negatives is the staff, well let's just say their not what I'm used to. Food seems authentic. I'm not normally a fan of corn tortillas, but I have say these were not bad at all. However, my overproof margarita didn't seem strong enough. I was expecting to struggle holding my own. I felt like I drink a fruit drink. Great dinner option! I loved my meal/experience at Minero. If you dine-in you've got to get the Queso Fundido! (Only available when dining-in). It had some of my fav spicy chorizo in it I've had in a while. I appreciate that everything is served on corn tortillas, chips, etc.-- makes it more authentic! Came in yesterday with a friend. We sat in to eat. It wasn't too crowded when we got there around 6pm. Our waiter greeted us right away. They have a good menu. Some good food and drink options. The margs looked great, but we just stuck with water this time. We got a chicken burrito to split. My friend has been raving about it for some time now, so I was excited to try it. Be warned that it is large! I'm glad we only got one to split! It was so tasty and filling. I love that they seal the burrito with a layer of cheese to keep it together! A tasty spot! We understand that outside food can't be brought in , but it should have been communicated in the beginning as she (rose ) saw the food . The way it was handled was extremely rude . So, this is my 1st time eating at Minero and I give A++++ for vibes and ambiance. PCM is such a vibe and I love it! Totally new Atlanta but what's there to hate. I'm here for it! With that comes new restaurants and new ways to upgrade your palate. Minero serves Tex Mex Cuisine. The menu is not that large but a lil bit of the main things most people order. Quesadillas, Burritos, Tacos, Chips n Salsa.... Things like that! I ordered the steak Quesadilla , 2 Margaritas w/ Don Julio and Pineapple Fresco, Chips with Guacamole, and an order of the salsas. Now, The waitress advised the Guac was really good but I would rank it a 3 outta 5. Wasn't too flavorful. I felt like it could use a lil garlic powder and I don't think I saw any tomato in it.... The Salsas were AMAZING. They came in 3 small containers. The spoons were the size they give you when you grab ice cream and wanna try a flavor. I wasn't too impressed by that, but the quality of the salsas were so fresh and delicious! My fave was the Verde, then Arbol. Last was Venne The Quesadilla was quite large and was loaded with generous chunks of steak! Served with a side of crema which was a delicate compliment....I enjoyed that very much! I ordered my friend the Pork Quesadilla and he enjoyed his as well. We swapped one of each and agreed the steak has a better taste! I really like this taco spot! Located at Ponce City Market. Every weekend I like to walk along the beltline and I usually stop here for lunch or dinner. I always order for pickup and the tacos are usually ready in 10 minutes or less. The staff at the front are super friendly, but since I never dined-in, I cannot give too many insights into the service. The tacos are a generous proportion and I really like the ones I have tried so far. My favorite taco on the menu is probably the Al Pastor or the Fried Catfish. I actually loved the tacos here...not authentic but more of a creative taco. I tried the cauliflower and fried catfish taco. The cauliflower taco was surprisingly good, more flavorful than I imagined. There is a lot of cheese on it though if you can't have dairy. The fried fish taco was really good. The fried fish itself was super light and not too flavorful on its own. But the avocado sauce was delicious and a great complement to the fish. I would order both tacos again. They were a little pricey for small tacos, 2 for $11, but pretty much everything at Ponce is on the pricey side. We asked to be seated at the outdoor patio. Beautiful day & we enjoyed their patio area. Since my 18 month old grandson was with us, it was a great place to sit! We started with the salsa trio. Very good & especially loved the chips. I ordered a cauliflower taco and a chicken taco. Both were good, but nothing special. My husband ordered a combo with rice, beans, chicken taco & steak taco. He liked the chicken taco, but did not care for the steak taco. It was a shredded meat & not what he was expecting. Our son ordered 3 Al Pastur tacos and he loved them! I took a bite and wished I had ordered those!! They were sooo good!! Our daughter-in-law ordered a combo and she really enjoyed hers. She ordered a cauliflower taco & an Al Pastur taco. I had the privilege of being invited to "Market" by my boss to pick out holiday merchandise for her store earlier this year. While it was amazing (and a bit overwhelming) she showed me around Atlanta, which I had never experienced before! We stopped at Ponce City Market and grabbed some chow at Minero one evening because she knew I loved margaritas! Of all the unique and authentic choices we had for dinner, we both knew we couldn't go wrong with Mexican cuisine! The margs did not disappoint, and the tacos were REAL! You order them in duos or trios, and they offer all the classic selections you'd expect. The salty tortilla chips and guacamole made everything somehow even better! (As they always do!!) If you stop by, make sure to order the salsa trio- all three are "muy delicioso" with very interesting flavor profiles. The meat was less than 3 ounces on each (nothing close to the photos they advertise}. Taste was good, but for the $23 dollars for the four tacos... WAY overpriced! My wife woke up in the morning with stomach ache and the runs... thought it might be her tacos. However, my stomach was not doing well either... and had same symptoms a few hours later. this was upsetting, as i live across the street and have heard good reviews. my friends are in town for my birthday so we decided to get food at minero, we sat outside which was cute but the heaters weren't super sufficient so it was cold. it took us more than 10 minutes to be greeted by our sever which we saw a total of 3 times the entire meal. i got a drink, 2 tacos, and we shard a queso, i ended up paying $40. the drink was good, the queso was okay it was all overly seasoned in some kind of seasoning that tasted similar to tajin, the tacos were gross. my friend ate a couple of bites and left to go home and throw up, i had 1 taco and couldn't stomach the other, and my other friend ate 1 of his 3 as well. we didn't see our server so these weren't concerns we could've raised, which is disappointing. overall we ended up paying more than $120 for 3 drinks, 1 queso, and 7 tacos. we're from texas so maybe a poor choice to make, but sad that this is how i spent my birthday and that it ruined my friends night. read more

This is what happens when you don't go with your first choice. My ex and I went to Ponce City Market yesterday to grab some Vietnamese food at Lady Ha. We were meandering through the shops before heading directly there, but my man became interested in where the grill smoke smell was coming from and I told him that it smells like it's coming from Mineros. Tacos ARE his thing. (Since I've eaten at Mineros with a good girlfriend pre-pandemic, I naturally thought it would be nice if we had a great experience too). He ordered the trio taco plate and I, two taco plate--the catfish and charcoal chicken based on the recommendation of our attentive server. As soon as we sat down, water was served, our order was taken, drinks appeared and our food arrived in minutes. (BTW, the entire wait staff was great. They really worked as a team). My man liked the flavors of his entree, as did I. I throughly enjoyed the catfish taco but that chicken, seemed a little gamey and the sauce was slightly sour. I couldn't finish it and left half on the plate. While the service was the highlight of that entire experience, what wasn't was the effects of eating the food after we left the table. Less than 10 minutes from leaving Mineros, walking back to our car, I had bubbleguts. As, we were driving out the Ponce City Market parking lot, I insisted that my man take me right next door to Kroger so that I can use their restroom. Had I returned to the Market trying to fight through the crowd, I would have never made it. OMG. What the entire hell?! I just spent $94 to eliminate my bowels minutes after eating? Bruh, I could have spent $4 on a bottle of prune juice and still came out $90 ahead. But I could not have been more pissed after learning that while I was in Kroger blowing up their spot, my man was doing the same in the men's bathroom. Needless to say, that this was not the Father's Day meal that I had envisioned and apologized profusely. The only reason I have not given this Mineros visit 1-star was due to the excellent service the wait staff provided yesterday. And the nice compliment that was said about my twenty year-old dress by the well coiffed young man that was at the host's desk. His fro raised Minero's score by a point. read more

I have to say that this place caught me off guard. We approached from the inside of Ponce City Market and it looked more like a place dedicated to drinking and loud music which was not a winning proposition for the family of four. Alas, we were famished and the other places around were packed packed packed. Bam! Amazing food! Tacos, steaks, nachos, all of it...fantastic. Who knew these guys were secretly hiding great food under that dive bar exterior (now, I will admit, that the view of the restaurant from the outside - with their outdoor eating area - looked much more respectable, but we didn't know that until later). The refried beans were the worst I I've ever I had. I cannot believe I was served white rice with my meal. Where's the Spanish rice!? Tacos very underwhelming. I can definitely say never again to ordering those. Queso, sure. I'd just request that they'd heat it up for quite longer. The restaurant itself has a nice esthetic. The service was good. I've had their tacos before, which were pretty good, but this time I got the steak quesadilla.. it was recommended to me from the associate across the room at the ice cream front after I told her I'm hungry, want some beef, but nothing too too filling... so the steak quesadilla was just right, they even cook the cheese on the outside of the tortilla and has crunchy flakes inside of it.. yummm!
