My braised beef brisket wonton noodles $13 was OK. They actually separated the soup from the noodles and beef. Wow. I hope the old store owner lady from Wing Hing retired. They stayed opened for take-out when most of the Chinese restaurants in San Francisco were closed during the lock down in 2020. It helped me and the community a lot. Recently visited Vancouver and was addicted to Hei Hei's Style of Rice Roll. Came back just to discovered this place just opened. I visited just for their rice rolls! The rice rolls are made to order so you may pick one protein from their array of choices for $4.99. Duck option was $9.99. If you're feeling creative, you may add extra meat, egg or lettuce at an additional cost. Ordered Beef + Egg Fish BBQ Pork Shrimp The rice noodle texture was soft and thin. All rice rolls come with green onion and a small sweet soy sauce. Favorite was beef and egg. The beef and egg were more evenly distributed which made it seem like a better ratio of meat filling versus rice roll per bite. Second favorite was fish. It was light and perfectly paired with the sweet soy sauce. I did takeout and the rice rolls stayed soft and warm till we ate 30 mins later. We added Cilantro at home but this is good without it. We just like our greens. Overall this might be my new go to spot for rice rolls. Since this is made to order, there was a 10 min wait. Also cash only. I'll be back to try the Duck and Scallop! Eating this for breakfast will definitely have you stuffed for hours. The portion size is huge and for about $16, it is worth getting it. The texture of the rice noodle roll is very soft, smooth, and has a nice chew to it. The roast duck has a nice flavor and is tender. I also love how the roast duck has little to no fat since each piece has a lot of meat to it. They do give you sauce on the side for you to pour into the rice noodle roll. However, for my tastebuds, I will ask them for extra sauce the next time I order this because with the amount of sauce that they give you, I still find this dish to be just a tiny little bland. This place has amazing Cantonese breakfast items. The congee was very flavorful - we tried the classic beef and thousand year old duck egg as well as the fish and peanut congee. I ordered two items off the menu. The scramble egg with beef over rice and 1/2 roast pork 1/2 roast duck rice combo. I have been having roast pork and BBQ takeout from this restaurant. To celebrate the new year, I pre-ordered a suckling pig from Ming Hing. It costs $268 for a 6-lb suckling pig. It is so delicious. A dimsum spot just outside the city that has gained my stamp of approval. There's certainly far more large group tables, so it actually took a bit longer for them to seat us at a two person table. We ordered some steamed dishes - chicken feet, siumai, chive dumpling, tofu skin wrap. All exceeded my expectations, though the siumai was a bit underwhelming. We also got three egg tarts, which were miniature sized to our surprise, but still buttery and tasty. I think I found my go to spot for Char Siu (bbq pork) I believe there are 3 other spots on the same street, sampled 2 others and this ones Char Siu is legit, Here is what I sampled and how it faired. I inly tried and ordered the Char Siu. 2lb worth was perfect amount if you have a severe craving that has taken months to quench. Slices are both fatty and meaty, with the seasoning of semi sweeter the way I like it and tender and juicy. On all points every slice I had paired well with piping hot white rice. On the outside some slices had that dark char which usually means burnt but at this spot the brunt was the sugar, delicious order thi I will have to come back and sample the roast duck and possibly the deep fried pork belly. In a short conclusion: If possible, try a diff spot. We ordered 6 dishes to-go last night and four of which were way below our minimum expections--at the very least, a few of those dishes were cooked with No flavor, which includes (#74)Beef Chow Fun, which is known for testing out the quality and ability of a Chef of Canton food. This entire plate has No flavor, Chow Fun were not pre-split and was undercooked with splitted color of white(the noodle) and brown( from the minimal soy source) together with overcooked beef, which also has No Flavor, let alone its final presentation. We also ordered #63 Salted Fish and Chicked Fried Rice, and Salted Fish was surprisingly Excluded from the final product (note: we did not ask for any exclusion) also it also had no flavor due to the missing salted fish. The #07 BBQ Pork is decent and the #14 Thai Sauce w/ Japanese Tofu was actually pretty good though portion was tiny for its listed price--photos of manu are therefore attached for reference(Aug,2025). I used to come here all the time before Niners games. Get a huge plate of roast duck, rice, and cabbage and take the bus to the game for a fraction of the cost of just parking at the stadium. Loved it, but hadn't gone back for a meal since the Niners left town. But this weekend I found them on Doordash and ordered some pickup. A lot of times the people there speak marginal English, so having a digital menu made ordering pretty easy. I gotta say, this is the authentic stuff I grew up with. We had: Honey Chicken Wings: A- . Not a strong flavor, like San Tung, but more subtle yet still sweet and spicy. Very full wings... lots of meat. And the breading is perfect... kind of falls off rather than being glued on. Cod Fish Fillet with Special Onion Sauce: A. Onion sauce is basically onions, and I like onions with just about anything. Nice chunks of lightly breaded fish. So tasty. String Bean with Black Bean Sauce: B+ . They are the traditional string beans I grew up with. Pretty soft with lots of sauce. My wife likes them a little crunchier though. Shrimp noodle roll: B-. Ever since I had Joe's Steamed Rice Roll in New York, I've been trying to find something similar in the west coast and it's been nearly impossible. After looking for some places for lunch, I stumbled upon Ming Hing and the pictures were as close as I have gotten. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to dine in the store, which is my fault but I ended up ordering it on UberEats. The food actually came pretty quickly, but I think something like cheung fun needs to be eaten fresh and right away. I ordered the Shrimp w/ Egg, Roasted Duck and BBQ Pork cheung fun. My favorite of the 3 was definitely the BBQ pork but the rest were actually pretty good too. The consistency of the rice roll was nice and fluffy with a generous portion of meats and fillings. This is the newly opened Ming Hing which took over Wing Hing. A fine establishment on San Bruno Ave. I ordered delivery since I wanted to give it a try and parking is still a challenge these days. I ordered the seafood pan fried chow mein and the mongolian beef over rice. For the chow mein they separated the ingredients in a tall plastic container so the noodles wouldn't get soggy. Super clever since soggy noodles always been problematic with takeout orders. Plenty of shrimps, fish and squid to go around in this dish. For the mongolian beef it's quite filling so between these two orders I was able to feed 3 people easily. Way to go keeping up the restaurant and doing delivery! Only 2 days young as of June 3, 2022. Today being a Chinese holiday, they had a line out the door. Lots of congratulatory flowers adorned the storefront. I took my mother here to pick up her desired soy sauce chicken and I decided to order a dry beef chow fun after speaking to the owner Jimmy. I am always in search of the elusive perfect dry beef chow fun with notable wok hei and quality beef. This one was a winner. He was outside minding the foot traffic going in and out. What caught my attention was his concern with ensuring the elders were getting in and out easily without being pushed by other customers anxious to see the roast meats on display. This is a family owned restaurant with Jimmy's dad cutting and serving the meats and cousin assisting behind the counter. The soy sauce chicken was delicious, flavors similar to when my mother used to make her own at home. No need for additional sauce and the meat was quite tender. I am looking forward to returning to try other dishes as well as working with them for corporate catering.
