No frills Chinese take out for bbq, brined, and roast meat! Came here to get a 1/2 roasted duck, some bbq pork and a 1/2 princess chicken. There are no tables or chairs for dining in, so don't expect to eat there. Sorry no pictures of the duck or bbq pork! My guy dug right in and ate most of it up before I could even take a shot. I guess hunger got the best of him! I did manage to take a pic of the chicken. I got a few pieces of duck and bbq pork before it was gone, so I got to try it! BBQ pork and duck were on point for flavor. Chicken skin had good texture. However, I would have to dunk the chicken in a bowl of soup noodles to take care of the saltiness. Still we liked everything we ordered. And prices and portions are more than reasonable.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Stop by Ming Kee because I was craving roast duck and bbq pork. I was bit confused by the ordering system. I had to ask customer how the ordering system worked. Food was alright! But I also had my take out box wrapped up for 30+ minutes, it was cold by the time I had it. Roast Duck: 3/5 On the dry side. BBQ Pork: 4/5 - too skinny. I asked for half fat and half skinny but i would say the piece I got was 80% skinny, 20% fat. Ginger Scallion Sauce: 5/5 goes soooo well with the rice!

Got there at 10:15am on a Sunday morning. There were already 25 people in line ahead of me. It took an hour to get thru the line and get my takeout order. I came for the roast duck. I picked up some Char Sui Pork Neck upon reading it was their most sold item. Both were good but not amazing.

Picking up dinner during late afternoon and no doubt they still have lines for this popular BBQ pork and duck place. Our favorite go to for roast duck.

strictly to go only! They do accept credit card and Apple Pay .The food is fresh and good, but I wouldn't say it's great. Nor I would wait 30 minutes again to get my food. if there's no line, I would eat here again.

I've walked by here a few times in the last year but never tried it. Really happy I finally did. Small line at 4pm on a Friday, waited about five minutes. Super flavorful char sui without being overly fatty like most places (I ate the whole thing and still had room for more). Honestly, this might be my favorite char sui I've tried in recent memory. Lettuce/cabbage and seasoning is included. A little salty overall of course. Portion size is great and very reasonable for $12. No one speaks English here but I would highly recommend trying this place.

Quail good, Fukien fried rice good, fried fish good....frick'in delicious! I would go to this place more often but the parking sucks...I have to park at Home Depot so I have to walk half a block.

I have been here before but this trip was mixed. Shopped here on a Sunday and lucked into a space just 1 spot East of the shop. This location does takeout , and I have never been disappointed with the BBQ Pork. This trip though my order included some Duck that made me very I'll, and was mostly bones under the top layer. Overall the service was okay, with the understanding of what are norms at Chinese meat shops. I will return but will limit myself to the BBQ Pork

I came back as I said. The meat cuts were meatier this time and the service was outstanding. I received a hefty portion of cabbage as well. Credit card charges are only allowed for purchases $10 and up. There is no seating at the restaurant so ambiance cannot truly be described. However, I enjoy the experience speaking with the employees and cashier who truly know how good their food is! I regret not ordering more!

Hello yellow chicken with the best green onion/ginger condiment

Scored. No line. Having a holiday weekend means lots of people out of town, so the whole sf is accessible. The butcher is meticulous with chopping the meat. The lady owner was chastising him for having the empty containers too close to the scale that it falls on the scale to add weight to whatever being weighed. My little feast, a whole duck and a whole yellow steamed chicken. Duck was meaty at certain parts. Excellent for me since it is right amount salt. Kudos to the chopper. Each size the right bite. The chicken had the best onion%ginger condiment. Got a big and small condiment container of it. Green onions chopped just right. Damage was $57 for two boxes.

Lean Cha Siu (BBQ Pork) $11.50 Per Pound

This restaurant is doing take-out orders only. They're famous for their Cha-Siu (Chinese BBQ pork) so I gave it a go. The Cha-Siu was not charred like most Cha-Siu in the world, so it wasn't very flavorful. However, they used a pretty good quality piece of meat. It was lean and fresh. The highlights of my order were the Soy Sauce chicken and the Princess chicken. The chef cut the birds beautifully and placed them nicely in the box. The chicken were well done, and they were fresh. The chicken feet was delicious as well.

I'm so glad I found this place!! My boyfriend and I found this place unintentionally and it is now one of go to places when we're in town!! The line gets pretty long but it's definitely worth the wait! The plate was delicious and I couldn't stop eating! The veggies and sautéed garlic was sooo good, a nice balance when eating all the meat on the plate. I love that they give an option of both duck and pork as I wouldn't be able to choose between the two. The staff are really efficient and direct, our order was taken before we even got to the register which had our food ready in about 5 minutes after! We will definitely be back!

Are they open for sit down eating?

    No. Take out only.

Are the offering thanksgiving turkeys for sale? If yes, has anyone tried it before?

Looks like they haven't sold roast goose for a long time? I wonder if they can buy and roast one for you if you order one in advance.

    Yes

Do they sell whole turkeys for Thanksgiving?

Yeah, but u better hurry! They do special orders of roasted turkey, u need to call them to order. It helps if u can speak Cantonese!

Once we got closer to the front, the host came by to hand us menus so we knew what to order as soon as we were seated. The restaurant is pretty small so the dining experience feels a little hectic. If you're looking for a calm, relaxing place to eat, I wouldn't say this is the place. It's sort of an "in and out" situation. I ordered the spicy G.K.O. So so delicious. The flavors really jump out at you. The broth is so cozy and smooth. The portion was decent and the ingredients felt proportional. My boyfriend ordered the vegan Miso. He's not a huge fan of ramen and he actually finished his bowl. He gave it a big thumbs up.

My only real complaint was the seating arrangement. My wife and I were seated at a shared counter-style table that was divided by a glass partition. While the partition provided some separation, I could still clearly see the people sitting directly across from us, along with all the eating noises and conversations. I personally prefer a little more privacy while dining, so that took away from the experience. I won't comment on the wait time because that's pretty normal for popular restaurants in San Francisco. The highlight of the meal was definitely the A5 Wagyu Ramen. It was absolutely delicious and worth ordering. The flavors were amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. Overall, the food was outstanding, and despite the seating arrangement, I would gladly return.

Came here after a long day at the Super Bowl experience. We…read moredid a walk-in for four. The wait for a table was 20 mins or we can share a large table with random people and be seated immediately. We were hungry. We went with the large shared table. Pleasantly, there was more than enough room. There were at least 1-2 seats in between the three groups on each side that were there- a solo diner, a small family of 3, and my group of 4. I ordered the Karaka Spicy, my bf ordered Akamaru Modern, his sister ordered Miso, and I don't remember what her friend got- I think it was also Karaka spicy. My bf and I ordered the Treasure plate on the side to share and a side of spicy paste because I know Japanese spicy is barely spicy (from someone who grew up eating SEA spicy). Karaka Spicy had a nicely balance tonkotsu mouth feel and pork flavor. Broth was a little salty. I was correct to assume that it wasn't spicy because I used half of the side of spicy paste and I still didn't think it was spicy enough. Chashu was cooked fine. Notes: - I wished I would've asked if they could swap the thin noodles for the thick ones. I love the chew thicker noodles provide. - Noodles were cooked al dente. Akamaru Modern tasted very similar to Karaka spicy without the spicy. My bf used the other half of the spicy paste as dip for his toppings. He enjoyed it. Miso was a lighter broth (obvi) with a good umami flavor and was not watered down. Solid. She loved it. I have never seen her finish a whole bowl of ramen before. There was a server in training that took our order with the help of the trainer- he did great. Staff was attentive with our waters. Bussers were also quick to notice and remove empty plates and bowls regularly making for an easy clean up after we leave and kept the shared table clutter free. Interior was modern, but casual. They had an expansive menu with vegetarian choices, sushi, buns, karage, etc. and a surprisingly large array of alcohol. I would def like to be back to try some drinks.

The ramen is served in large bowls, which looks impressive at first, but the actual portion of noodles and toppings felt underwhelming for the price. At that price point, I expected more both in quantity and flavor. We ordered the Dragon Tantan ramen, which the menu describes as spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. We asked our waiter if we could have a little more heat, and he nodded and brought over a tiny dipping-bowl-sized portion of some red paste with no explanation. There was no mention that it would cost extra. After finishing our meal, we were surprised to see a $5 charge on the bill for the "extra spice." We genuinely thought it was complimentary, and if it wasn't, that absolutely should have been communicated before serving it. The lack of transparency was disappointing and unnecessary. Overall: mid food, mid service, and not worth the price -- especially during such an exciting weekend in the city. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

I've been to plenty of Japanese/Ramen spots and I've been running into the issue where I say I have a soy allegry and there is an assumption that I have a gluten issue (I do not have a gluten issue). I noticed yelp said they have soy-free options and thus called on Friday thinking it might be a bad idea as they're usually busy.. It was defintely hard for the person to hear a bit when they picked up. The staff did relay something about gluten free noodles.. Anyways, they said they could swap out any of the soy soups for salt (but soy can encompass a lot of things so I still wasn't feeling super confident but we're going to give it a go). We go and I asked which 4 of the soups I was eyeballing don't have soy - the staff said they can accomodate and replace any of the soy soups with a salt broth. After we ordered, the staff came back and checked in to make sure that my partner also didn't have an allergy. And my dish came out, they told me there was no egg as its marinated in soy - perfect to me.
