I ordered for delivery here specifically for the s&p chicken wings since the place I wanted to originally order from is way too far & doesn't provide delivery. The chicken wings were actually pretty good considering they weren't from my favorite place-- They held up during delivery & didn't get soggy on the way over. They were well-seasoned & still had their crunch! While it comes pretty close to what I wanted, the price point was sort of a damper-- 6 wings for $12ish while my favorite place for s&p wings is 11 for $13ish! I also ordered beef chow fun which was disappointingly mushy & bland other than a sour taste which I'm unsure whether it was coming from the noodles or the beef (which there was very little of)! I had to refry them with a lil more soy sauce, white pepper, & green onion to improve the taste but the noodles were beyond saving. I also added in a fried egg scramble to help compensate for the poorly executed noodles that were lacking that chewy bounce. I was craving some wonton soup, so I added that to my order as well-- The broth was bland & the wontons were not your traditional pork & shrimp wontons but some random dumplings with gray meat & green onions. Not bad but didn't quite hit the spot-- Ended up pouring the excess crispy bits & fried peppers from my chicken wings into my wonton soup & that improved it some, but I was at a loss for some real wontons. I want to like this place because it's close by, but messing up on beef chow fun & wonton soup is pretty unforgivable. Hope to see hear some improvements through the grapevine-- Only then will I give Wok Station another try-- maybe. *UPDATE: My stomach has been bubblin' & i'm painfully on the toilet as I type this-- I don't like to waste money so I was going to attempt to eat the rest of the chow fun but now I think I'm just going to chalk it to the game & throw it away. This place has become my comfort fried rice spot in the past 2 years. My own fried rice would be frowned upon by Uncle Roger, so I have to outsource. Anytime I need my pre-race fried rice, I'll just get it from here. My go to is usually chicken fried rice. It does have a lot of ingredients/toppings too. Kinda sad I found this spot after my races got postponed and such. The salt and pepper wings were 99% salt, the two boxes of fried rice had NO vegetables in it and only a couple pieces of chicken, and the boxes of Mongolian chicken consisted of 90% onions and sauce.. about 3 small pieces of chicken per box.
