My wife and I love the beignets so we had to hit the Mint Julep Bar. It used to be called Cafe Du Monde. You order from the cashier first and them they give you the order from the window. They have 3 and 6 pack . The beignets are shape like Mickey and covered in powder sugar. I think they changed the recipe since it was really chewy this time. Not as fluffy. We really didn't like them at all this time. Very disappointing. At least the line wasn't long so we didn't wait too long for being disappointed.
The Mint Julep Bar is such a cute beignet stand in New Orleans Square! I I grew up in Houston, Texas, and went to New Orleans, Louisiana a number of times. Unfortunately, these beignets really didn't cut it - they were just breads blobs sitting on top of a layer of powdered sugar in the bottom of the bag. We tried shaking the bag and the powdered sugar didn't really stick. The flavor and texture of the beignets was off and the shape was pretty distorted so it looked more like a 'hang loose' sign than a Mickey Mouse head. The Julep tasted pretty good and minty at first sip but the second sip on tasted really synthetic and chemical-like to me. I ended up tossing the whole thing. I think there are way better drinks like the Yuzu Lemonade at Harbor Galley close by.
Tried the beignets at Mint Julep Bar and they definitely lived up to the hype. They come out hot and fresh, covered in a generous amount of powdered sugar--so be ready to get a little messy. The texture was perfect: crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Not too heavy either, which makes it way too easy to finish the whole batch. Order on mobile, the wait was not that bad and it's a nice spot to just take a break and snack while walking around New Orleans Square. If you're at Disneyland, this is an easy must-try snack. I'd definitely get them again.
Stopped by the Mint Julep Bar and tried the beignets--delicious sugary goodness that's perfect for a long day at the park! They come three to an order for about $10, which is pretty standard for Disneyland. The only thing I noticed is that the middle was completely empty, even though they're fried donuts, but the flavor and sweetness made up for it. Overall, tasty and satisfying--definitely a nice treat.

First time going to Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland to try the beignet's. The line was super long and I had to return for a ride so I ordered on the app which was over an hour. For my 1st time tasting them I think they are just powered dough! Tasty but I don't honestly see your hype. There is another location that sells the in the downtown district that I'll try tomor then give an update.
This was my go to for Beignets for years, but now, not so much. We were so excited to get them, we haven't been to Disneyland for at least 5 years. We missed the warm powered sugared, soft, and fluffy pastry. It was such a disappointment. The Mickey shaped beignets were not looking like Mickey shape. They tasted bland and there was not fluffiness to the pastry. It was awful. We should have returned them, but we didn't want to wait in the line again. We did not finish them and threw them away. Disney should be doing better.
Mickey shaped beignets! It was my first time having a beignet at Disneyland. I have been missing out all for so many years! I placed a mobile order on the app. Would highly recommend as the line to order in person might be long. I went to the pick up window for my order (you will get a notification on the app when it is ready). I ordered the 3 piece. The beignets were hot, fluffy, soft, light and airy. A bit hollow. It was really good though. Eating this will get messy so definitely have some napkins ready! I read that some people were saying the beignets from Downtown Disney are better but to me, I think both are good in their own ways.
mint julep is so popular at the parks that sometimes it's hard to schedule a good pick up time through the disneyland app to preorder. waiting in line is not bad at all but just prefacing the lines do get long. the wait for the actual items is actually very quick and everything is made fresh! the mickey mouse beignets are def lighter and less dense than the beignets at tiana's palace. definitely shake the bag of beignets before eating so that each beignets will be coated generously with the powdered sugar! the mint julep drink was great and not too sweet which is what i had an issue with with most drinks in the park. the mint julep was super refreshing! it's nice to know they have seasonal juleps which is definitely what i would go for if i were visiting during a holiday season! highly recommend!
My friends had been dying to try the famous Mickey-shaped beignets at Mint Julep Bar after hearing all the positive feedback, so we decided to check it out. We saw a long line, and you know what they say... long lines = good food, right? Well, I have mixed feelings about the experience. The beignets were decent, but I'm still not sure I get what all the fuss is about. First off, they were soft and pillowy, which I liked. When you bite into a good beignet, you expect a slightly crispy exterior with a light, airy inside, ike biting into a cloud. These were close to that, but they felt a bit hollow on the inside, which made them a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch, or maybe I'm just not as big a fan of beignets as I thought I would be, but I wouldn't rush to get them again. If you're planning on getting beignets here, I'd definitely recommend using mobile ordering, because otherwise, you're in for quite the wait. There's always a long line for these beignets. Overall, I'm glad I tried them, but I wouldn't call it a must-visit for me. Maybe I'll give it another go in the future, or try a different spot and see how their beignets compare.

Mint Julep Bar is the only spot here that serves beignets, and low-key Mint Julep beats Cafe Monde. This place is a MUST, and their beignets is out o the world. I think the beignets being Mickey-shaped also played a huge factor, LOL. You can see the description of the beignets we got to share below. - Pumpkin-Spiced Mickey Shaped Beignets [GET]: These SLAPS so hard. The mickey mouse beignets are so so so warm, soft, and coated in a generous amount of powdered sugar. They are similar to donuts, but lighter and fluffier with a hollow interior, not dense at all. I could eat all of it if calories weren't a thing. There's hint of pumpkin-spiced flavor to it, perfect for Halloween season. Make sure to shake the bag, so the powdered sugar can be spread evenly to all the beignets before you inhale them. Ambiance: 4/5 - This place is located right next to the French Market in the New Orleans French Quater area. The ambiance literally takes me back to NOLA. There's plenty of seats at the French Market, but most people just stand and eats the beignets right away, which is what we did! You can also see the rivers nearby as well. Price: 4.5/5 - We got the 6 pack (but got 7 beignets instead) seasonal beignets, which is the pumpkin-spiced for around $9 after tax. The beignets might look small, but they are so delicious. I think the prices are super reasonable, being in one of the popular snacks in Disneyland. Would get it anytime and every time when I'm back in Disneyland. Service: 4.5/5 - The line is usually pretty long and seem to be moving slow, but it's really not. It is so worth the wait, and we only waited for about 15 minutes in line, so not too bad. You can order on the app or with the staff, but we did the latter. Staffs are always kind here and polite. We pick up the beignets almost right away at the pick-up window. Packaging is good, gave us a ton of napkins for us to use afterwards, and they are definitely messy to eat. BLUF: The beignets at Mint Julep are one of the BEST treats you can find at Disneyland, no doubts about that. I loved how light and airy they are. They are warm and served fresh, so trust me they will be gone before you know it. I know the classic beignets are a must but would recommend getting the seasonal flavors since they are not available all-year round. They are a HUGE YES from me, so please get them! read more

One of my most FAVORITE spots inside Disneyland is the Mint Julep Bar. Let me start off my saying, I have never ordered an actual mint julep, only the beignets. Oh boy, and if you have never had the cutest little Mickey shaped beignets, you are missing out. The are always served warm and toasty with bunches upon bunches of powdered sugar. The beignets are served in packs of 3 or 6, and occasionally, you can find seasonal beignets too. They are ALL yummy, but I prefer the original. Please note, the line at the Mint Julep bar is always very long no matter what time you go, so do yourself a favor and mobile order them. You will save bunches of time to have lots of Disney adventures. read more
This spot is a classic for longtime Disney fans and first time visitors! Located in New Orleans Square, they're most well known for their mint julep (nonalcoholic) and Mickey-shaped beignets. The mint julep is minty and refreshing without the alcoholic flavor from a real one, making it great for kids. The Mickey shaped beignets look wonderful in photos and are perfect for really feeling the "Disney magic," since they're Mickey shaped. They're a bit doughy, but overall quite good and only slightly sweet. What's fun is that they offer different flavors for holidays like peppermint for Christmas. There's plenty of seating as well right by the French Bakery and the line isn't bad as well (a major plus for Disneyland!) read more

I've never had their Mint Julep, and I probably won't order it. But this is a good place to get coffee and beignets...Mickey-shaped beignets for that matter. For a large cup of coffee, it only cost $3.19...which is surprising for Disneyland. Sh*t, I think Disney charges for more a bottled water than coffee. And their coffee is pretty good. Not the best, but better than some of the overpriced ones out there in the market. And this is a perfect spot to warm up on a cold SoCal evening, or to rest up and recharge to tackle Disneyland for the rest of the night. Grab a table under a heat lamp to enjoy the scenery and activities around you. I do recommend getting their beignets to accompany your coffee. It's a perfect combination to warm you up and give you enough oomph to make it through the rest of the night. Definitely stop here for some refreshing drinks and delicious beignets (that's a must!). Order on the app so it's ready for pick up once you get there. I got the passionfruit mint julep which was so refreshing since it was getting pretty hot midday. The beignets were also a perfect snack. It was just a little crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside which is just perfect. Great snack that's light and keeps you fueled for the next ride. Don't forget to shake the bag once you get it so that the powdered sugar spreads evenly on the beignets! read more

This stop just off the Disneyland train ride was a nice. We were able to quickly order from the cashier outside and the order was easily picked up at the window. I believe they offer table service if you want larger meals but our quest was for mint juleps and beignets. We picked up our drinks (I stuck with iced tea) and beignets and grabbed a table. This was right after they opened for the day and so the tables were still plentiful. A little later into the day and it gets a little crazy. I really enjoyed the snacks and the chill vibe they had going. I will definitely go back again as this trip in February seems likes years ago now. Give it a try. read more

It's not a Disneyland trip if you don't get beignets! Pre order through the Disney app to save time. Depending how busy they are, pick up times can be anywhere from 20 mins to 1 hour. Once your food reaches the time frame for pick up time you can let them know you're there thru the app and they will begin to prepare your food so it's hot and fresh. read more

Best friend and I had to come here to remind us of our trip visiting Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. Okay the beignets are definitely no Cafe Du Monde, but they hit the spot. While not piping hot and pillowy like the real deal, these were still fluffy and sweet. And they're shaped like Mickey!! We got the original beignets but we also got the peppermint to try. I'm not hugely a fan of all the seasonal stuff. Fine, other than pumpkin anything (call me basic). But the peppermint powder was not favorable to either of our palates. The beignets dough itself was the same; it was just a peppermint powder on top that was different. Original came out strongly on top. Best friend somehow got coffee past dinner time and of course it wasn't a chicory blend, but she seemed to enjoy it. Eating Mickey beignets in the French Quarter is a Disney treat. read more

They are right next to the French Market Restaurant. Magic Key Pass Discounts Accepted? No $4.99 Strawberry Mint Julep: Minty and refreshing with lemonade and strawberry juice infused, perfect on a hot or warm day. Best of all, it's non-alcoholic. Garnished with mint leaves and a plump strawberry to munch on. Originally, I wanted to come here and get the Mickey Mouse shaped beignets, but my friend kept steering me away from here. She mentioned the beignets weren't as good and the Mickey Mouse shaped ears didn't look that great for pictures. Either way, I was still determine to get some either without or without her. When we finally got to the Mint Julep Bar, I decided not to get them anymore because we were pretty close to dinner time and I didn't want to ruin my experience at Napa Rose. The sweet snack was definitely needed after rides and walking around. Tucked away in a hidden corner of New Orleans Square, Mint Julep Bar is a quick service spot next to the outdoor patio of French Market. The walk up window can be easy to miss if you're a first-timer, but you'll definitely find it soon after seeing the long line of people waiting to order their beignets. Their namesake drink is a bourbon-based cocktail from the South, but Disney's rendition is non-alcoholic. It's like a refreshing lemonade with a minty aftertaste. They also sell stainless steel souvenir cups if you want your drink served the traditional way. The Mickey-shaped beignets are 3 for $4.99 or 6 for $8.49. Always served piping hot, fresh out of the fryer, and with a generous serving of powdered sugar. Make sure you have napkins or wipes because it gets very messy. They also do seasonal flavors for holidays and special occasions. Some of the ones I've tried over the years include Strawberry Chocolate, Pumpkin Spice, and Blackberry. My most recent visit was mobile ordering only. The earliest pick-up times were usually 20-30 minutes in advance, and they make it easy to change or cancel. Very convenient if you're stuck waiting on a ride and need to update your arrival window, which happened to me. If you're looking for conventional beignets, I would try Ralph Brennan's in Downtown Disney as well! read more

Everyone knows Mint Julep Bar as the place to go to when you want to pick up some beignets at Disneyland! I'm here to say...I'm not trying to break the cycle, I was also in the mood for some beignets. You have to come when they have their seasonal beignets, because they are actually pretty damn good. Had the pumpkin spice beignets in celebration of Halloween. They were really hot and plenty of pumpkin spice powdered sugar! Really really good. Hit that mobile ordering if you want to skip the line! The Mickey beignets here are a MUST EAT when you visit Disneyland. The beignets are so soft and are just the right amount of sweetness. The only minor downside about this place is that I wish the beignets were covered more evenly with powdered sugar. But it's totally fine because I just simply use the paper bag it comes with to help with shaking and covering them more evenly myself. Because I went to Disneyland near the Christmas holiday, they also offered peppermint Mickey beignets. They look just like the normal powdered sugar beignets, but they are actually covered with a peppermint powdered sugar. I would give it a 3/5. Personally, I found it tasting like when you are brushing your teeth with mint toothpaste. It's pretty minty, and if you enjoy that, I think you would enjoy it! I just am not a huge fan of peppermint. But overall, again, yummy and great quality beignets that you should def try when you are visiting Disneyland! read more
Full disclosure: it's Disneyland, so the bourbon for your mint julep is MIA, but still worth the beverage pit stop. There's something about mint juleps and beignets that just feels elegant and right in Disney's French quarter. I'm docking a star because the last time I visited the Mickey beignets had lost some of their historical quality. Basically an air donut casing covered in powdered sugar, and no substance in the interior - disappointing! Also, the wait here can be a akin to ride lines, so be prepared for a potential 20 minute bevvy line. The French Market seating makes for a nice place to enjoy your refreshments and people watch in the shade. Depending on time of day, you may even be able to catch some live jazz. read more

When you've had one too many churros but are still craving something sweet, I recommend the Mickey-Shaped Beignets (BIN-YAYS... I wanted to add this because I'm slow and didn't know how to verbally say "Beignets". These are powdered sugar donut type snacks. Similar to a donut or funnel cake. You can get a pack of three, or a pack of six. I got the pack of three, but could only get myself to eat two due to how sweet they are. I would recommend these to anyone who is a food blogger or just a social media blogger in general. The Mickey-Shape gives you the best photo opportunity to show off your treat, and right in the middle of New Orleans Square! read more

Believe it or not but I had never had a Mint Julep until recently, I just never fell victim to the hype of them or the beignets until they introduced some very enticing seasonal options. I've never been a fan of their regular beignets as they used to be hollow inside like you were eating air lol and I just preferred the ones at Ralph Brennan's. However I loved the strawberry beignets they had for a short amount of time, these were NOT hollow inside. They were fresh, hot and nice n' fluffy. The strawberry powdered sugar was amazing and it didn't taste artificial. I think they have finally changed how they make the beignets because it seems they are no longer hollow inside, that was an issue. Throughout the year they come out with different flavors like pumpkin during Halloween time and peppermint during the holiday season. I don't see myself going there to get the regular ones with powdered sugar but if they come out with strawberry again or other interesting flavors I might give them a try. So I used to be somewhat interested in trying the "old" Mint Julep, the one that was green and just looked tasty but then they changed it and looks more like a lemonade and I heard people complain about it so I never bothered. When they came out with the Watermelon Mint Julep it legit was all over every Disney Lover's IG and Facebook and had such raving reviews so I had to see if it was worth the hype. I really enjoyed it, there was a nice balance of watermelon and the mint flavor. It wasn't too sweet and the watermelon with tajin was perfect for this drink. I would definitely get it again and I hope that it sticks around. I do recommend trying their seasonal beignets and mint julep when available but come early because this place usually has a very long line. They do not have mobile ordering and the AP discount is not taken here. read more

After having beignets at the famous Cafe Du Monde a couple months ago, I was curious to see how these measured up. I mobile ordered 3 pieces of the regular through the app & it was ready for pick up by the time we got there. Instagram worthy for sure, they nailed that Mickey shape. A treat that definitely needs to be eaten hot, these were a bit dense. Usually more on the fluffy side, but I will say that it did taste pretty good. As you know, it's messy so grab a lot of napkins. Even on the tables & floor, I'm sure you will find sugar. read more

"refreshers included with tingles of joy" is a quote I brought to life after sipping a stream of an energizing drink called the Mint Julep. This place lives up to the hype. The Mint Julep is incredibly refreshing; it's both chilled and has an exotic flavor that's not found anywhere else. It's like lemonade but with a hint of bitterness from the mint and another flavor that is ambiguous and up to you to interpret. Mickey beignets are simple and delicious. They are made freshly warm and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Definitely a place worth visiting if you're in for a quick snack or want an Instagrammable experience. read more
Pro tip: ORDER ONLINE on the Disney App for scheduled pick-up. They make everything fresh once you press the button that states you're on the way! Pick-up was quick, and there were plenty of spots to sit under the canopy at 12 PM. We got the Mickey Beignets topped with powdered sugar ($5 for three, $8.50 for six). They also have seasonal beignets (Summer 2022 was Banana Powdered Sugar). Shake the bag multiple times and EAT THE BEIGNETS BEFORE THEY GET COLD! The beignets were hot, light, and airy pastries perfect as a sweet treat/snack. This was my favorite thing to eat during my entire stay in the Disneyland Parks. read more
A little disappointed with the seasonal butterscotch beignets. The butterscotch flavor was not as prominent as I was hoping it would be. The beignets were really fresh though, and I love the classic Mickey shape. They are a perfect sugary pick-me-up during the afternoon slump. The French Market and Mint Julep Bar seating area is shaded and has lots of seating. read more
I've just recently had my first mint julep and my god, they are so refreshing and delicious. I've also had my first beignets here too! I got the: 1) Watermelon mint julep: -Cute light pink color. -Comes with a sprig of mint and a piece of watermelon. -It's like a stronger watermelon tasting drink with hints of mint and a very slight hint of lemon. -Super good and super refreshing. My fav! 2) Regular mint julep: -It's more like a light lemonade with a hint of mint. Not too tart or saturated tasting. -It's nice and refreshing, but it doesn't beat the watermelon one! 3) Butterscotch Beignet: -I might not be well versed in beignets, but I really liked these. -They have a chewy texture on the inside, not like the dry-ness of some donuts. I really liked that. -The butterscotch was not overpowering, nor was it faint. -I had these like 2 days after microwaving them and they were still good! This for sure will be one of my stops every time I go to the park now! read more
It's been 7-years since my daughter and I visited our lil corner of New Orleans Square (see pic repro). I guess they stopped adding the food coloring to the drink, guess that's healthier. The area was so incredibly crowded, waited 30-minutes to order. That is Disney these days. Was still a delicious beverage. This time was able to share the experience with my wife and 9 year old son. read more
the closest thing to New Orleans beignets, and IM IN LOVE ! This place & the clam chowder in Disney CA adventure are the 2 "must haves" every time I visit Dland. the dough is soft and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. Eat them while they are warm, and don't forget to give them a good shake while they're still hot inside the paper bag to allow the powdered sugar to coat the outside evenly, enjoy!! read more
Went to this place to get the famous beignets in the New Orleans section. Timing is important. It was at night and the line before the fireworks was snaking all over. After the fireworks (immediately after) the line was much shorter and it only took 15 minutes to get to the front of the line. Decided to try both the regular Mickey shaped beignets and the maple flavored ones. Haven't had one in almost 15 years and they were so amazing back then, so I was really looking forward to this treat. We were so disappointed - beignets were cold, and not very fluffy. They were light and puffy, but we had a hard time distinguishing between the maple flavored powdered sugar and the regular. Probably won't get any beignets at Disney for another 15 years. read more

The Mickey beignets are the must try here! They were so soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet with the addition of the powdered sugar. There was so much powdered sugar so it can be a bit messy. But these were delicious and so cute! A perfect breakie! read more
We came for the beignets! Eat them hot and fresh, shake it up before you do though. All that powdered sugar goodness! Shaped like Mickey Mouse and puffed up to light fluffy perfection. We came, we saw, and we ate. The mint julep was alright but I'm sure it would've been much better and refreshing on a hot summers day. We came at the coldest time of the month in Feb. We just had to try it and so we did. Not disappointed, yet not wowed. Next time we'll try again. I hear great things about the soup bowl but we just weren't up for the challenge of eating soup+bread bowl+rain. No bueno. Again, there will be a next time. Overall we visited this little hole in the wall every single day of our Disneyland visits (3). If you aren't visiting the park, you could get the beignets in Downtown Disney, but anyone would argue that this spot makes them better. For the price of admission, they better be! read more

Came here today to get the limited holiday time candy cane beignets! At the time I went, there was no line at all, I just walked up to the registers in front of the window (which is new since I had ordered here last). I ordered a pack of three and went up to the window for my beignets! It was very fast and efficient. I can see why they are doing the registers out front now. Once I got my super warm candy cane beignets, I shook up the bag and stood off to the side to devour one. You can definitely tell you've entered beignet country bu looking at the ground (powder everywhere!!!) The candy cane beignets are probably the best of the flavored ones they have had. They have the peppermint taste without being too overbearing. Overall, I highly recommend getting these candy cane beignets! Make sure you grab a napkin or two and stay close to a restroom to wash off those beignet fingers after!! read more

Now, there aren't too many items available for purchase here, but the few items they have are extraordinary. One of my all time favorite snacks within the park is actually from this restaurant! It is the Mickey shaped beignets! I've tried three different iterations, including their seasonal peppermint, banana and their original flavor (which is my personal favorite)! These beignets are always super light and fluffy and have a good amount of powdered sugar to top it all off! Along with the beignets, I've also gotten a Mint Julep drink. It was a nice, carbonated refresher that had a great, minty flavor. Overall, the Mimt Julep Bar is also a pretty great place to just take a break and relax during your busy day!
