Hidden gem in New Orleans near the shops! Craved some beignets at night and found this spot. I think it was like 3 Mickey beignets for like $4. We got them pretty fresh and they were soft and fluffy. One of the better things we ate at the park today and wasn't crazily overpriced. I heard their tea was good but at this point, we just couldn't consume anymore. The best way to eat here is to mobile order!! When you arrive you just wait for your order to be ready and avoid the lines, which there always is! The beignets are a nice treat when you are in the park. They have seasonal flavors throughout the year so you can try different ones. You can get 3 or 6 which is nice. First and most important, the drink they serve and they call a mint julep is NOT a mint julep. A mint julep is a bourbon or whiskey drink (almost always bourbon). The drink they sell is called a "refreshing mint drink." I'm not 100 percent sure it's alcoholic. If it is, it's a light rum. Still a good drink, but it tastes more like a canned mojito drink. Order two. The best reason to stop here is the beignets! They are Mickey shaped and delicious -- probably as good as the ones at Port Orleans in Disney World. They also had a banana beignet. I love Mint Julep Bar! It's an absolute must for me when I visit Disneyland. The Mint Julep Bar is located in New Orleans Square next door to the French Market Restaurant. Their menu is very simple; they feature mint julep drinks and flavored julep drinks like strawberry julep (which I highly recommend), watermelon julep, and cranberry julep drinks too; all sold at separate times according to the seasons. They also sell Mickey shaped donut beignets with an amazingly delicious sauce to go with it. Coffee drinks, hot chocolate and soft drinks are also spotlighted. My husband and I stopped here to grab some drinks after roaming around the park for many hours and feeling like we needed a break and some rest too. I got the strawberry julep drink and he got the mint julep drink; we both loved our drinks; so yummy and delicious! It was nice to drink our beverages and reminisce about our fun day and sit at a table outside in the warm weather. This was a refreshing drink. There are mint notes and I tossed out the sprig of mint which made it too minty. The few blueberries were not sweet. It had ice and it was very different. I think I plan on trying the blackberry next at another location because I know what blackberry tastes like. I decided on the 3 pack of Mickey-shaped Beignets. No special dusted flavor like grape. I've tried that in the past. It will be yellow dusted sugar for lemon or today, purple for grape powdered sugar. I like mine plain with powdered sugar. Today it was still warm and I was able to shake the bag, rip it open and roll my beignets in the powdered sugar. Last week I finally decided to try it because my friends wanted some snacks and this was close. The line is long and awkward, but it was totally worth it! Since it was my first visit here I had to get the OG flavors...but since it was really hot I also got a cranberry julep lol. Make sure to grab lots of napkins because the beignets get kind of messy. I was wearing all black and the icing sugar from them made it look like it snowed on me which was actually pretty appropriate for the time of year. This is a must for me anytime I visit Disneyland! I love how it's right by the train ride so you can grab a few beignets and head out for a scenic ride! We came by to get a refreshing mint julep as it was a warm afternoon and it did not disappoint! Also, who can resist the Get Your Ears On specialty Butterscotch Mickey Biegnets! It was marvelous! This little walk up window serves two specialty items: Mickey shaped Biegnets & mint julep, along with other hot drinks & fountain drinks. Easily one of my favorite spots in Disneyland to grab a snack/drink and to rest my feet after a long day's worth of walking. Whenever you're craving something for that sweet tooth, this is the place to come to. Grab a mint julep to quench that thirst from the heat and munch on some delicious Mickey shaped beignets too! Great place to take a break from walking and spend time waiting for a fast pass to start. There's usually a small 10-20min line for this place, since it is quite a favorite spot at the Disney parks.
