The one star is far too good for them. Average food but the worst service in America. We came, as a group of 7 , and waited nearly an hour, until we realized they were never going to serve us. We were a group of drs and older and obviously not welcome. The servers were at best nasty and unfriendly and should not be in this industry. There is no excuse for their behavior... I cannot imagine how anyone could leave a tip. Awhile later: The owner/manager reached out to me and was very gracious. He reviewed my concerns and was very reassuring about addressing the matter in the future. So I was very involved by his involvement. 4.5 stars Wow- what a great spot to visit! My boyfriend and I were in Seattle and were able to walk to this spot from our AirBnB so we decided to check it out. This place gets busy so I recommend getting an app that can save you a spot in line which is what we did and showed up just in time after the dinner rush had finished. The venue is extremely cute/quaint, perfect for the ultimate date night- cool signage, unique hanging lights, lots of brick bordered by wood. We started out with the recommended wine for the evening and were very happy with the decision- I could tell they knew their stuff in that regard. We split the oven-roasted clams which were amazingly buttery but with that slight brightness that the wine and parsley added. Would have liked a little more bread with it to soak up all the amazing juices but we definitely made do. We split the formosa for dinner which is a perfect go to classic pizza that would make anyone happy- the olives were a great touch of saltiness. Finished it off with a little bit of ice cream to sooth my sweet tooth and was perfectly content. Basically the only reason I didn't give 5 full stars is that service was a little slow towards the end of our meal despite there not being that many patrons- might have been a little short staffed? All in all, would love to come back to Seattle to try out their other unique pizzas! read more

Done with overpriced pizza and bad attitude. I live just a few blocks from the Ravenna location. I've wanted to support them over the years. They made the space nicer, they are a family-owned local chain, and I like pizza. I am especially grateful for how the managed through COVID. With that in mind, after 10 years (maybe more?) I'm done paying over $60 for a cheese pizza, meatball sandwich and some side salads. The food is good and it's not over $60 good. While I mostly do takeout, when I have dined in the restaurant, gone in person to pick up an order, or called about a mistake with an order after pickup/delivery about half the time the attitude of the staff is awful. Not exactly the taste I want in my mouth before a meal. It is disappointing and I won't be returning. Thank you Mioposto, I'm moving on. read more

I have been to this Mioposto restaurant multiple times with my partner. Unfortunately 50-65% of the time the service is horrible. I like the restaurant, the food is great and we love the different pizzas they offer. On December 24, 2022 we went around 1pm to have pizza. We asked if we could have a particular empty table and the waitress named Wenet (per my receipt) a mature women snapped at us and said NO. The bartender was gracious enough to set the table and allows us eat there. When it was time to order Wendy was once again rude, I did mention to her she shouldn't be rude to customers and have such a negative attitude. She just wanted to win an argument and win. I felt the need to post this as this has not been the first time staff has been very rude at this restaurant and management you really speak with the waiters and waitresses about it. read more

I try to eat 98% plant based ("vegan") but this certainly did not fit that category. Mioposto did not have any specifically vegan options which was a little disappointing, they did say that I could request their vegetarian pizzas without cheese, but because I was on vacation in Seattle I decided to full send the cheese. I haven't broken my veganism often (only once before) over these past 4 years, but I'd say this cheese lasagna was (maybe) worth it. The sauce however was my favorite part, so maybe they could incorporate that into a vegan dish in the future. Really great atmosphere. read more

Had a very bad experience at this location. We waited for our table to be cleaned and finally got seated. The only server seemed to be this older woman (a younger gal was working the bar). The older server didn't even bring us cups for our water (pitcher of water was already placed at the tables). We waited for her to at least take our drink orders but she wouldn't even look at us. We made several attempts to flag her down but we were dissed. She even took order of later arriving table near us. The only reason I could think of is that we were the only Asians there or that she doesn't like kids. When she wasn't busy, she started organizing pizza boxes, moving stacks from one location to another. My husband and I were furious and didn't want to wait anymore. We just walked out! She needs more training on customer service or she should get a different job that is non-service related. read more

This was a great place we stumbled onto trying to find somewhere to eat post UW football game. UVillage was not an option. Setting and service was great. Strong kudos to our waiter who, due to short staffing, had to take care of a ton of tables. He did great, and we appreciated it. Food was good, served timely despite the rush and hot. Food is pricey and small in quantity. - Meatballs ($18.00 for 5 or 6 meatballs, holy moly) were okay, definitely not worth $3.00 each... - Meat lasagna ($25.00) was okay, smaller than expected - Both pizzas we ordered were soggy in the middle, but the flavors were good Our server was nice -- she forgot to put in part of our order, but did so after we asked about it, and was very apologetic and nice about it. A UW student told us that her fellow students only go to Mioposto when their parents are in town (because the parents can afford it). I expect that it's a "fancy date night" place for students because of the price tag. But for me, I think there are better Italian options for less $$. read more

I was more disappointed in the fact that we had a reservation and 10 min before arriving I called to confirm to make sure the table was all ready, which they said was, and everything was all good but when we showed up they gave our reservation up to someone else as a mistake. Asians, avoid this restaurant. My family ended up walking out after horrendous treatment by our waitress. The only possible reasons for such rude behavior we could fathom were that we were the only Asians there, and the only table with a child. After we were seated at our table by the manager, we were completely and obviously ignored by our waitress. She took orders from other tables that had been seated after us, and avoided our attempts to get her attention, even though she was clearly not busy. I've gotten delivery from this place many times, I usually get the pepperoni puntura because of how great honey goes with the pizza. I tried eating there on a Saturday night at 6pm once and it was too crowded. There's no place to wait, so you're usually stuck waiting in the aisle as customers and staff try to walk around you. So I left. I came back on a Thursday afternoon at around 4 during happy hour and the place was pretty empty. I ordered the pepperoni puntura, calamari puttanesca, antipasti, and roasted beet salad. Everything was great, wish they had put more roasted beet on the salad though. My friend dropped her fork while eating, it made a loud noise, and no one came to replace it. Our drinks also weren't refilled, even though the waiter walked by multiple times. read more

Have been to the Ravenna Mioposto a few times, it has always been good. This was a while ago, but I had a very good olive oil based pizza. I am hoping they still have it the next time I visit. I have also had very good salads and entries at Mioposto. The sandwiches are good, but not my favorite. It is pretty small so there can be a wait. The staff have always been friendly when I have been there. I recommend Mioposto to those looking for a quiet bite to eat. read more

I was wavering between a 3 star or a 4 star review. In the end though, my friend and I weren't wowed and it doesn't compare to other places that I've rated as 4 stars. The flavor was good.. But it's not one of those places that is be dying to return and months from now, it'll have completely faded from my memory. If you do decide to check it out, they have a ton of pizza options and if you're having a tough time deciding, you can do half and half. We got half of the lamb sausage and half of this potato one. We also started with an appetizer of acorn squash with gorgonzola, pancetta and balsamic. Again, good flavors.. But not amazing. We sat at the bar and had no complaints about service. The bartender was very attentive and was quick to ask if we wanted another drink when our glass was empty. The ambiance is nice. It was really crowded at 6:30 on a Friday night and our wait for a table would have been 25 minutes. My friend heard that their Mount Baker location was the best and Bryant wasn't as good. If that's truly the case, then that's pretty disappointing that it's not consistent. Why didn't we just go to the other location then? Two words.. Seattle traffic. read more

I was visiting a friend in Seattle and coming from New York where pizza is always delicious I was a little skeptical. However I was pleasantly surprised. For an appetizer, we had roasted chick peas. Super yummy and full of flavor. We each ordered an individual pizza and mine is shown in the photo attached. It had pancetta, butternut squash, some other veggies and a balsamic glaze. I almost forgot to take a picture because I was so hungry after traveling for 6 hours. Ambiance in the restaurant is great, however it's very tiny. New Mioposto location (the original restaurant is in the Mt Baker neighborhood). Considering it was day two, the service was friendly and relatively attentive. The owners and head chef checked in with us. I'm not certain, but I think Steven Spielberg was running the front of house. The residuals on ET must be running dry. Overall the pizza at Mioposto is very good. I liked the sauce and overall consistency of the pizza. The crust is more "Tutta Bella" (chewy) than "Tribunale" (which I find to be more authentic). They had a nice three egg pizza which was served with some delicious panchetta. The spice element that was a feature of this pizza, however, is still with me. I'd suggest less up front heat, and give guests the option via a bottle of olio piccante. And consider some sprigs if ruccola. Nice, intimate setting that may or may not benefit from the flocks of Viewridge Yuppies with kids in tow. read more

Revisited Mioposto yesterday 1/16/15 to meet two former work colleagues for lunch. Seated immediately since I was first in the door ~11:40am (open at 11am). . Still a creature of habit, I ordered a Quattro Formaggi with a tomato base (olive oil also available, $12.95). I can't stray from the flavors from the mozzarella, gorgonzola, fontina, and grana, topped with lemon zest. Colleague #1 had an iced tea with lemon ($2.25), warm baked bread starter ($2.75), and the Pinocchio ($15.75). This more substantial pizza had salami, hot Italian sausage, pepperoni, salsa di pomodori, mozzarella, mixed olives, roasted Solea tomatoes - no lie (pun intended). I sampled a third of the bread starter - tasty, but the missing exclamation point would have been a finishing touch of salt (ie. Maldon, Diamond Kosher). Colleague #2 selected The Clam Bake ($15.95, $2 additional pancetta) which raised the flavor profile with an olive oil base, the pancetta, Hood Canal clams, garlic, onion, oregano and other fresh herbs, chili flakes, mozzarella and grana. She kindly gave me her final slice to take home with the rest of my QF pizza. The kiddo ate the remaining four slices of QF pizza and a half CB slice brought home later for dinner. Normally, pizza gets devoured. I noticed the kiddo actually slowed down, savored it, and even commented how it delicious it was. I ate the other half CB slice - wow, that's a knockout myriad of flavors! Note - this was after it was refrigerated and later heated briefly in the microwave. Great place for lunch, pleasant and unobtrusive customer service, and by the time we left ~1pm the dining room was 2/3 full. Their fresh-from-the-oven pizzas are amazing! Appetizer menu is nice too - calamari, Salumi and clams are standouts. Be sure to get a round of the house-baked bread. Nice setting. Seating at the small bar plus tables for 6 down to two. Focused and affordable wine list - and always a Barbera available. Good draught beer selection - one IPA (not six!), and even something pushed with nitrogen. And always fantastic service. Street parking easy usually. Don't bother trying the "wood fired" pizza places at U-village with this gem a couple blocks away. read more

And when you have an employee rushing, an employee that doesn't care, or just someone not paying attention... It's pretty poor for the five-star reviews: you cut them on the right day which, honestly, is about 60 to 70% of the time And the one star reviews are the other 30 to 40%. GREAT food. Our server was great. Had a great experience until the very end of the night. We arrived at 7:45pm and at 9:10pm (10 minutes after the restaurant "closed") they turned off the music, turned up the lights super bright and brought out all of the dishes from the back. Made us feel very uncomfortable, unwelcome and rushed out. Our server apologized and went and turned back down the lights for us. The dishes here have a simple and aesthetic look to them but are full of complex flavors. Even their homemade bread is so good just dipped in olive oil . The portions are decent too for the type of classy restaurant this is. Everyone left satisfied by the quality given here. My grandparents got the melenzane and shakshuka and were pleasantly surprised since they eat korean food and this was a new experience for them. My mom loved the shakhuka especially with its bold tomato flavor and the slight spice. I really liked my beet salad as well with its fresh toasted almonds and sweet beets. Went in for lunch with my girlfriend and left happy. The server told us that she was the only server at the time so we didn't expect the quickest service. We ordered the fresh baked bread, potato pizza, and the lasagna without sausage. The pizza dough was perfectly chewy and crunchy and the potatoes were really good. (If you don't like oily pizza do not get it since they drizzle with olive oil) The lasagna was alright, didn't love the sauce, but it wasn't bad. The bread was really good, freshly baked in the oven and it was perfect with some olive oil dip. Overall it was a really good dining experience and I'd definitely come back again! Great spot for pizza and salad. The caesar salad has a delicious dressing with these incredible garlicky croutons. While every pizza here I've tried is good, I usually just get Margherita because their ingredients are so high quality, it really doesn't need any toppings. The dough is fantastic- chewy, flavorful, and really holds onto a nice woodfired slightly charred flavor. I would honestly eat just a piece of this dough cooked in a wood fire oven with nothing on it. Delicious fresh mozzarella, a simple, lightly sweet fresh tomato sauce, basil, a little salt. Simple and truly divine. This isn't the cheapest pizza you can find, but it's obvious where the money goes- the ingredients are truly top notch. Stopped in for a quick lunch the other day and was very impressed. I sat at the bar with my laptop for a working lunch. The bartender who served me (Dustin I think) was very attentive. I tried a Lavender French 75 which was not too sweet, not too much lavender, nice balance. For food I had the Roasted Beet salad which was absolutely delicious. The beets were perfect and the almonds added a nice crunch to this salad. The green were dressed perfect, not too much dressing. My wife and I stopped for a Sunday afternoon late dinner. We had their recommended signature Rib Eye Steak (12oz) served on a bed of Arugula with a generous slice of melted Gorgonzola cheese over the top. I was skeptical reading the menu and realizing they don't grill or seer the steak, instead they cook it in their pizza oven. But I have to say, the steak was one of the best we've ever had. Arugula and gorgonzola was an awesome pairing. Salads and pasta is extra, no side dishes come with the steak, so $29 is a little too pricey, but we had no complaint about the steak, it truly was delicious. 6oz pours of wine are $7.50-$10.00, also a little overpriced, but we were very satisfied with the meal and would gladly return. - Scott read more
