I was sad to learn after researching gluten free options in the area for breakfast. That this location no longer offers a gluten free waffle which states as much in their website, google reviews and even here on Yelp. And it would have been nice to know before I drove to town to try out the gluten free waffles that had been bragged about on their many reviewed sites. I strongly feel they should update their website to reflect what they do offer. It was cute and located across from the cathedral. If you plan to visit on a Sunday please be mindful of the church hours, and that there is no parking within two block radius. Come here for waffles, paninis, coffee. That's it! What they do, they do well. The peach cobbler waffle is delicious, the lemon zinger is intensely sweet and sour. Try our trick, order an espresso, and dump half the whipped cream into that. Works well! The espresso is good, and they have oatly oat milk if you're looking for a vegan/non-dairy option. The waffle batter is vegetarian, but there's nothing vegan to eat here. Sit inside or outside, they have loudspeakers so you can hear them call your order outside. Neat! Fast friendly service. One of cutest and charming Cafès in Savannah! Found this gem on Yelp on my last trip to Savannah and so glad that I did. It's located right in the heart of Historic Savannah. My friend and I grabbed brunch here right before heading to Forsyth Park. A plus is the view of St. John's Cathedral right across the street. I ordered the Breakfast Sammie and Honey Latte. Both were so good! I really loved the breakfast sandwich with its harissa tomato paste and fresh bread. They definitely don't skimp on proportions either. Next time I want to try the waffles! This is a great spot for breakfast, brunch, or just a quick snack!!! I came with a bachelorette trip and we stopped here around 1pm for a quick snack break from shopping/walking around! I got an iced salted caramel mocha and a grilled cheese with bacon! It was delish!!! Some of the other girls got the waffles, they are to DIE FOR!! Very small, very crowded, not easy to navigate, and food was just very ok. Waffles are notoriously doughy which I wasn't impressed with and the peaches were just hot and full of cinnamon and no whipped cream survived the heat so nothing to contrast. To be honest - not what I was expecting. The pictures definitely hype it up. The building is very old, which is definitely something that intrigued my interest, definitely Savannah vibes. However, there is a chimney right in the middle of the room where everyone orders, which makes everything super crowded. There's no menu's to look at until you get to the cashier, making the line super backed up. Once you order, there's hardly any room with high volume of crowds. If you ordered food with your drinks, bring an extra person, because they give you everything at once. The drinks are served with no lids, so carrying your food and drinks is difficult with a lot of people around. There's hardly no inside sitting and if there is something available you will be sitting right next to people, which isn't ideal. We sat outside and the flys and heat made our breakfast not enjoyable. The food is good, but very sweet and it made me mad they cram the entire waffle into a togo box, which can become very messy to eat. The drinks were just okay. We needed a break between tour stops on our last stay in Savannah, and Mirabelle is a fantastic place to order espresso drinks and more. I love the house that they are located in the historic district of downtown Savannah. So much character and feel when you walk inside to take your order and hang out as you enjoy your drink order. We ordered the Coffee Julep and the Pearl, two magical drinks that brought me to a place of spiritual purity and being. We spent a good 45 minutes just chilling inside the lounge part of the Mirabelle. I recommend stopping by here for a coffee drink, and the waffles looked good too. read more

Mirabelle is a quaint, small cafe offering up tasty waffles and coffee. During our visit to Savannah, my wife and I had picked out a bunch of places to eat. Mirabelle was recommended to us by friends who visit often. Especially if we love waffles, which we do. We arrived around 1030am. All the outdoor seating was packed and the indoor limited seating was full as well. We went to place our order and hoped something would open up before we went to get seated. Luckily, an outside table opened up. Our waffles were up quick. I also got an iced black coffee. The waffles were packaged up nicely in to-go boxes. I assume that's in the event you can't find seating and have to take your brekkie on the road. While not the largest we've had, these waffles packed in flavor. Mine was the smores. The chocolate, toasted marshmallows, graham cracker dust melded and was the perfect blend of sweet. It tasted like a delectable sweet treat cooked over an open fire. The waffle underneath was fluffy and soft. It soaked up some of the chocolate and I was very happy with it. My wife got the peach cobbler waffle. The warm peaches on top were sweet and fresh. The cinnamon streusel a perfect compliment and the waffle was cooked perfectly. As we enjoyed our waffles, we looked up at the 1800s building that houses the cafe. It's beautiful architecture and history is on par with most of the buildings in Savannah. While expensive, this location also offers lodging for your vacation. We highly enjoyed our visit to Mirabelle and we were glad we visited! read more

Mirabelle you sure make things inviting. This is not a typical tea room more like a cafe . The atmosphere was relaxing and it was refreshingly cool inside . Yes there's WiFi to connect to the Pswd is at the register. Bathroom is very clean and the code for this is at the register as well. Alix was super helpful with directions guiding us to our next destination. Also giving me some tips on getting around the historic district. Across from St. John's cathedral, we found this small coffee shop with a few indoor and outdoor tables, thanks to our Yelp friends! The staff was very accommodating with my request to add tomato jam to a gooey grilled cheese panini. Cappuccinos were small yet tasty. I've been to Mirabelle Savannah (MS) several times, but the visits were always kept short, not intentionally, for one reason or another. It's been more of a quick pit stop for drinks. Now, don't get me wrong, they serve some pretty great coffees and teas, but I've always had my heart set on their Liege Waffles. I don't find these delicious Belgian style waffles very often, so when I had heard MS offered them, I was excited to try them out! I had Liege waffles about 3 times a day, everyday, during a quick weekend trip to Belgium. We went there for a beer festival for my husband, and for me, chocolate (duh) and these waffles! Oh, but today, today was a happy day *insert happy dance*. Today's visit was very intentional and for a change in scenery, I decided to head down there for breakfast to finally get my Liege waffle! - Parking - Street metered parking at $1/hr - Vibe - I LOVE everything about the decor and design. MS is actually a small part of one whole building. I believe it's a Bed and Breakfast as well and MS is the quaint little cafe that their lucky guests get to come down and walk out to. It's a whole house and downstairs is the cafe. It's sectioned off in different rooms with an odd lay out but that's historic buildings for you. Regardless, MS makes great use of the space. The counter/kitchen is in the back. On the right side, there is barstool seating along the window with the beautiful view of the church. On the left, it's a bigger, more open room with several round tables and beautiful velvet, teal bucket seats, which were pretty comfortable. There is a mix of wallpaper (that matches their paper cups) and painted brick walls adorned with vintage mirrors and art with old frames. Just a gorgeous space. They also have outdoor seating. - TLC - I've been taken care of by the same two guys on my last couple of visits and they are always very nice, helpful and super friendly. The last time, they were experiencing some issues so I had walked in when they were closed, but they were still nice enough to make what they could at the time which was cold drinks. - Eats / Refreshments - Their menu focuses mostly on Liege Waffles, providing a balanced variety of both sweet and savory options. They also offer 4 different sandwiches and if you want to grab a really quick bite, they offer some baked goods from one of my favorite bakeries, Auspicious Baking Co. They know how to pick 'em! Chai Tea Latte - A good, strong flavor of Chai and they really know how to make some pretty latte foam art (refer to pic). Just as pretty as the cup it's in. S'mores Waffle - When you're reading the menu and you see, Toasted Marshmallows, Chocolate Ganache, and Graham crumble, you think DONE! Right?! Yeah, me too! Great minds think alike ;). So, let me give you some background info, for those of you who don't know what Liege Waffles are. They are actually made of a dough rather than a batter. MS uses a naturally fermented dough and instead of the waffle coming out like a perfect square/rectangle, the dough is pressed into the waffle iron, so it comes out an asymmetric shape that adds to its charm. MS also adds pearl sugar to add the sweetness and a slight crunch. So good! The waffle itself is very dense and perfect to soak up all the ganache. The marshmallows were toasted perfectly and just enough graham topping. - Kiddos - My kiddos would have loved these waffles and I'll definitely bring them back there. In general, there's a variety of things kids can eat. They also have Hot Chocolate. One thing to note though, not food related, since it's in an old house, there are a few steps to get inside and the doors are heavy and it's tight spaces in some areas, so if you have a stroller, I would leave it parked outside, or keep in in the car and wear your baby(ies) instead. An umbrella stroller would be more ideal. I had such a great morning. Started it off just right with a delicious breakfast and I got some work done with a beautiful view to boot! And MS came through and delivered the waffles I have been craving since that weekend trip many years ago. I most definitely will be back. Note to self for future: Either try the waffle plain, or the Ricotta Toast and try the Chai iced next time. read more
