Delicate, pristine little location that I'm sure has more to offer than the teas, coffees we stopped in for, that all should take a pause and southern stroll into. My guest purchased specialty tea and coffee and I purchased some very high percentage Cacao chocolate to nibble on for energy for the 12+hr roadtrip back home. One specifically suggested good 'brain food's activity', and knew that was needed to keep us awake. A few little nibbles halfway through the journey and it indeed did the trick! I wish I wish I wish this cafe was in Atlanta. I ordered a cappuccino and the strawberry creme croissant. Needless to say I practically inhaled the croissant. It was so damn good. And the cappuccino was excellent. Ryan made the cappuccino and it was absolute heaven. The way he pulls a shot and steams the milk is as close to perfection as you can get. When you enter you go to the right and there is a retail section and menu made of glass. You order at the register and move down for your order. There are a about eight bar stools in this room looking on to the street. The other room consists of three two tops and one larger table that can seat up to five or six. Mirabelle is a lovely little coffee and pastry shop located across the street from a major tourist draw, Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church. The building is a repurposed residence from the turn of the century, and thus, the rooms are quite small. This makes for a bit of shoulder rubbing when ordering and waiting for pickup. A minor factor, really, which somehow adds to the charm of the place. It ain't no Starbucks, thankfully. The 16 oz. coffee ($3.00) was strong, and excellent. I found the Peach Cobbler ($7.00) to be way different than I expected, besides being a bit pricey. It was presented on a waffle and buried under a sphere of whipped cream. Went to this place based on the reviews I saw and it being touted as the best place for waffles in savannah. Was disappointed and really an overrated place with high prices and nothing special. The coffee was decent for sure, but the food is nothing to write home about. My main reason for less stars is also their service. You can order the food at the counter and you can then pick it up when they announce your order is ready. Sounds simple and shouldn't really be complicated.. But they were in their own world without any regard for how big or small the order is. I re-ordered just a side of bacon again, and it should have been as simple as - you take the order, see it is just a side of bacon and then put some bacon in the disposable box (everything is served that way) and give it to me pronto. Instead, they took the order; put that in the queue and no one bothered to look at it till I reminded them 15 mins later that it is just a side order of bacon and if they could just hand it over. Well, they still took their own sweet time while just talking amongst themselves without a care in the world. Great camaraderie amongst the workers, but no great sense of customer service in my humble opinion. read more

This restaurant was a lovely way to end my weekend trip to Savannah, GA. They have street parking which at times can be a little difficult. But it's located in front of a church which makes the view very pleasing on the eyes. When you first go inside, it's basically 3 rooms. The one on your left which is the seating area, the middle is just stairs that I wasn't really sure where it leads too and the right where you order. There was seating on both left and right sides and outside seating as well. I ordered a plain waffle with their homemade raspberry jam and it was everything I love in a waffle. It was warm, fluffy and the jam was sweet and the amount of jam given was plentiful! I also ordered pomme Brie sandwich and it was like I was taken back to France! It was so delicious and savory. It was prosciutto, brie, apples and arugula. The bread was a little toasted for my liking but all the components will definitely make me crave this sandwich again! My boyfriend had a peach cobbler waffle and it was sweet, delicious but it had too much cinnamon that made it too overindulging. He also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich but it looked burnt and the cheese was on the inside and not in between the bread. After complaining, without hesitation they made a new one. It was nothing out of the ordinary. They also sold coffee and have oat milk available. And they sell exotic chocolate and coffee to make at home. His had scrambled eggs, chives, applewood bacon, cheddar, harissa tomato jam (had an Indian taste to it ) and also pressed sourdough. The tomato jam made this sandwich. If you don't like "exotic" or different on your breakfast sandwich-not for you! They specialize in waffles so we had a peach cobbler (on a waffle) which was yummy! This was a really cute little coffee shop/ cafe. They didn't have much seating inside but had more seating outside. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was due to the LONG wait. My friend I were told our order would take 30 minutes which we said was fine......but it took them 30 minutes just to make out coffee. I had a 8oz cappuccino and she had a cold brew. We had to wait another 2 minutes before our waffle was ready. I understand places get busy but it would have been nice to enjoy our coffee while we waited for our food. Such a cute little cafe in Savannah. It looks like it was in a old home in the slower part of Savannah but it was on our way to and from our Airbnb each day. There is a staircase when you walk in with seating on the left and the coffee bar on the right. There was also outside seating to eat at. Inside they have a nice selection of little things you can buy and whole beans in the cutest packaging to take home. We bought a bag of their beans and I'm so glad we did! We made some really great espresso and coffee at home. We both ordered lattes and they were delicious! They looked great in a picture with the latte art but they were even better to drink. Again, another great find.. Mirabelle is super cute small & cozy coffee shop with a hip vibe. It's tiny in here but it's run like a machine. I am assuming it was a home at one point. The chocolate bars for sale seem endless & so enticing. They also have a small amount of merchandise (t-shirts) etc. No cash here btw it's all a cashless system. They have several tables outside where I sat and enjoyed the morning views. The Catholic Cathedral being right across the street. A sight to see. It's beautiful. Vibe: Charming with a bit of an old world feel. Lots of cute indoor seating and has sweet marble tables outdoors with lots of trees for shade. Ordered: There are a ton of sweet liege waffles (yeasted batter with sugar crystals throughout- yum!) but also several savory options. Additionally they have lemonades, coffees, and even cute Savannah gear. We had the Fluffernutter (peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, sprinkles)- so sweet but delicious. We saved half for later because it was so rich. We also ordered the Georgia peach which has lots of butter, cinnamon-sugar, and peach slices. Warm and perfect for Georgia. The espresso tonic was refreshing and fruit forward in the coffee flavor. The vanilla latte was great coffee and lots of sweet vanilla notes. Additional Details: It is right across the street from the huge cathedral downtown which is extra beautiful seeing people leave Mass and hearing the bells. I almost didn't come here due to lack of time but I am so glad I did! Mirabelle ended up being my favorite coffee spot that I tried during my short Savannah trip. I ordered the Unicorn's Mane which is a latte with Rose water & Cardamom syrup. They were out of Rose water, so I opted to try it with lavender because I love florals and it was amazing. I don't think I ever drank a hot latte so fast?! I loved this latte so much that I ended up coming back the next day! I believe that their espresso is a Columbian, as I could taste the earthy & "dirt" like notes from the espresso. They used Oatly oat milk which is a favorite of mine & makes great foam for latte art (can you tell that I'm a barista?!). I also ordered a waffle each day. I tried the Croque Monsieur and the Lemon Zinger. I love that they press the waffles with a sugar coating because it added such an amazing crisp to them! The Croque Monsieur was a perfect combo of savory and sweet & enough to fuel my day! It had Black Forest Ham, Melted Swiss, and Gluten Free Bechamel on top! The Lemon Zinger had a Lemon-Lavender Curd Creme, House-Made Raspberry Cardamom Jam. It was an amazing combo of floral, sweet, and tangy! There is a restroom for paying customers as well. I love the menu here. Great for a lunch pitstop. They make scrumptious Liège waffles (Belgian) and sandwiches with fun additions like Brie and arugula. I tip my hat to Ryan, their barista.
