Miracle Bar has really made a family friendly Christmas into a damn good time. Not that family Christmas's aren't fun... but Christmas cocktails are my idea of some strong holiday spirits! We came at 7pm on a Friday night - it was freezing and there was a line outside the door. Thank goodness for the free tea and hot water, although I didn't partake. The line moved fairly quickly, especially since we had just the two of us. If all the Christmas spirit in the world was crammed into one place, it would be the Miracle Bar - it was like Christmas just exploded inside the old Buckhead restaurant. Decorations from wall to wall, including a huge lit gingerbread house and a huge pile of stuffed Christmas toys hanging from the ceiling. The tv counting down the days until Christmas was also a nice touch. My friend and I decided to share a tapa of potatoes, which were very basic and boring, but also very necessary with all the alcohol we were consuming. We also ordered separate cocktails to go with our Naughty and Nice shots. I regret taking one for the team and drinking the bourbon, because I really cannot with brown liquor. The Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r! was basically a pina colada. Drinks and food were on the pricier side, but you were really paying for the experience of being one of the only exclusively Christmas bars in Atlanta. Thank god for a second location, I can't imagine the wait to either location if there was still only one. Drinks were strong, food is meh, service was also a bit slow, as the place was definitely packed. It was hard to flag down your server, or any server, really. It made it a little difficult to find the Christmas spirit, aside from the Christmas themes. If you are willing to go during a non-peak time (which is basically never), go with a small group of less than 4, or wait in a long line, I would recommend Miracle Bar, because what else is there to do in Atlanta for the holidays, aside from drinking Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r!'s all night long?? read more

I went to Miracle on Monroe last year and was really looking forward to checking out the new bar, Miracle Too this year. I went during thanksgiving week and purchased a great deal through scoutmob.. score!!!! I was impressed with the Christmas decor, especially the oversized gingerbread house. There's lots of props and funky decorations for selfies. I really wanted to love this place but something was missing and it doesn't have the "fun" factor like the Monroe location. The crowd just seemed too pretentious and not really into the holiday spirit. I mean, why go to a Christmas theme bar with several signature cocktails and order wine?? Our bartender was Amazing and had a great personality, so thankful we had him because everyone else looked half asleep. read more

There's something that feels wrong about going to Miracle. Waiting forever to get into a bar to pay at least $12 per cocktail when that time and money could be put to other uses just doesn't really put me in the holiday spirit. The owners must be printing money. It kinda felt like being in NYC: waiting in the snow to get into a pop up bar for overpriced drinks. And the drinks were skimpy too. The mulled wine cocktail mug was only half-filled. The "You'll Shoot Your Rye Eye Out" did not pack a punch. The $5 Naughty or Nice shot is the way to go. Now I gotta give it up to the staff. They were super friendly and attentive. But when your patrons are waiting forever to get service they better be. However, this is the coolest Christmas themed bar in Buckhead. The holiday decorations were over-the-top so that was cool. Yes, the Christmas movies on repeat and singing along with everyone to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas" is fab. I checked the box. I've seen Miracle. It's fun once you get in but far from miraculous. What would be a Miracle is if the management can get a reservation system similar to Staplehouse in time for next year. The line was too long! There was no security at the door. Some people just walked right in. They were calling groups of two or three so f the line I guess. My friends tried to walk right in like the fair shade of people and was turned away at the door. I guess if you know someone who works there you can walk in. That did not sit well with me so I just left. I don't think it's worth the wait anyway. read more

I love Christmas and this bar is going to be the place I go until the season is over! We decided to come to the Buckhead location since it's closer and we heard it's bigger than the midtown one. There was no wait and we had a nice seat near the dj. Our waitress helped me select a beer and my friend got the egg nog. We didn't order food only drinks. The decor and patrons there were so nice. Stopped in with my boyfriend on Christmas Eve and I think this was a perfect way to end the Christmas holiday. Miracle that night was calm and festive. A great time to just stop and stare at the Christmas festivity. In the corner was a Jewish tree with a picture of the guy from Parks and Rec. pretty awesome. Our waitress was decent. At the time we got her she was friendly but I think the overwhelming Christmas atmosphere was wearing on her. She suggested the "You'll shoot your eye out" and"Christmaspolitan". The youll shout your eye out was strong and creamy and had a cinnaon taste and the other drink was citrusy. We asked for another drink to replace youll shoot your eye out and we got "Bad Santa". Bad Santa was amazing. It reminded you of a warm, seasonal sangria. Absolutely wonderful. If you didn't make it this year try again next year. Overall the bar deserves a B. The bar was festive and fun, the drinks were fitting to the theme, and tons of photo opportunities. 1. They only played 4 Christmas songs and the rest of our stay ... smooth RNB AND HIP HOP. 2. The drinks and atmosphere are amazing. But they are understaffed so if you go don't go during the week. 3. If the employees are tired of Christmas music, all I can say is you knew what you signed up for when working at a Christmas themed bar. 4. The crowed seemed uppity no one seemed to be enjoying it. I posted my initial review under "Miracle Bar" because this option was not listed last weekend. Miracle Bar is from the same owners of Miracle On Monroe (which is now open again for the holiday season). It is open from November 24 to December 24 and is located at the old American food and beverage space at the Shops At Buckhead. I like that there is plenty of parking at the Shops At Buckhead. There are 10 different cocktails and 2 different shots. The first drink I ordered was the Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r which is Barbados Rum, Cachaca, Trinidad Overproof Rum, Purple Yam-Coconut Orgeat, and Pineapple. I didn't like that cocktail because there was too much ice and it didn't have a strong flavor. I then ordered the Jungle Ball No which is Cognac, Amontillado Sherry, Peanut Butter, Almond Milk, Pandan, Cream, Nougat Syrup, Egg, and Nutmeg. That cocktail tasted a lot like the Yippie Ki Yay to me. I thought it would be like a spiked egg nog. I think the cocktails tasted similar because they make all of their own syrups in house. I like the drink menu is on a Christmas card and the bar is decorated with lights and gifts hanging from the ceiling. There is also a food menu. The staff is nice and the music is interesting and not too loud. Stop by before December 25 to experience this pop up bar! read more

Don't be a cotton headed ninny muggins- make sure you check this place out! Planning ahead is key for the best experience. Yes- the line is hella long. We got there about 45 minutes BEFORE they opened and we still had several groups head of us. Parking garages are available all around the buckhead shops- but given the strength of their Christmas spirit(s) I would consider an Uber or Lyft if you can. The drinks are not cheap- but it's clear- you're paying for the experience! Our waitress was hilarious and super friendly. We took several 'naughty shots'- they could have been colder, so brace yourself for that. I had the Christmapolitan- so nice I had it twice! The food was mediocre- but again- that's not what I was there for. This is: the place was covered from top to bottom in lights, wrapping paper, and general Christmas joy. The music was great- it started out with some classics then turned up a bit as the evening progressed. Everyone there was in attendance for a good time (aka not uppity)- and most in Christmas apparel. As someone that wishes it was the holidays year-round, I loved this experience. I am from the Netherlands, and I finally got a chance to fulfill my lifelong dream of visiting Atlanta. As Christmas is not very festive in the Netherlands, I simply could not wait to visit the MiracleBar for a once in a lifetime experience. However, after waiting in line for over two hours in frigid weather, I had to run to the restroom to relieve myself across the street (a bit of diarrhea) and once I got back, the man at the door refused to let me rejoin my group. Thus, I had to wait outside shivering in the cold while my group went without me. They had a terrible experience and said they will never return. If you're looking for a festive oasis away from typical Christmas bars, this is NOT the place for you. read more

Worst experience ever!! I went to the original Miracle Christmas pop-up in midtown last year and had a great time...this year was not the same. My friend and I got there at 4:45 (opening time was 5pm). There was a long line, that did not start moving until at least 5:15pm. The bar filled up quickly and there was no wait list, so we had to stand outside (in the freezing cold) for over 1.5 hours! My dedication was partially spurred but the fact that I bought a scout mob for the location ($25 for 2 drinks and 1 meal to share). When we finally got in, we had to share a table with strangers and I was told that my scout mob was no longer valid, and they would not honor the price I paid. I was livid! My friend and I ordered 2 drinks (for $36!) and we were informed that there was an automatic 20% gratuity added to all orders. Terrible!!! We promptly had out drinks and left. Bouncer was a bit over the top to deal with. We had a party of 10 but 2 people came up a bit late due to waiting in he restaurant across he street - they didn't want to wait in the cold. And this place is ALL about experience!! We went on Saturday at 630pm and waited only 50 minutes to get in the lobby and then 5 More minutes to be seated. This is a usual wait time for any restaurant on a Saturday night. I expected to be disappointed! I wasn't! This place is a dream come true for anyone who loves Christmas. And I say that as an agnostic-atheist' even I got to the holiday spirit in a place which seems To be barfing up christmas! The decorations, the lights, the tree, the toys! It could not have been more perfect! My friend and I got the Run Run Rudolph drink and my husband got the egg nog. We also got the schweddy balls as an appetizer (because, who wouldn't?) and we got a tray with hams! The schweddy balls exceeded my expectations! I expected them to be cold and bland!
