The food was great. The only downside was that one of our items were not sent. The el pastor tacos are delicious.

Visit Date: January 20, 2026…read more I got the LI cafe passport book from my co-worker for Christmas. In January I got to go to two coffee shops in this book, for five was the second one. I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I'll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

l've rarely encountered such a rude and unwelcoming barista…read more I ordered a pour-over, but when I tried to simply watch the brew process, the barista was incredibly cold and dismissive, essentially refusing to let me see what she was doing. The elitist attitude continued throughout the transaction; she couldn't be bothered to tell me which beans she was using, and once the coffee was finished, she didn't even acknowledge me or announce that the drink was ready. It's a shame when a shop's "gatekeeping" attitude ruins the experience. There is no excuse for treating customers with that much contempt. I won't be returning to a place that makes me feel like an inconvenience for ordering a coffee.

Read the cup and say it with me "Tatte like latte." That's just in case you don't know how to…read morepronounce this cute coffee/bakery/food spot. However it's said, an easy statement would be that it's quite tasty and for sure a good location to check out, which is what I did with my mother last week. Walking up and into Tatte might give you some retro NYC vibes, but the place actually originated outside of the Empire State. You'd never know because the white-tiled look definitely feels like something classy and Manhattan-originated. Luckily, the pricing isn't necessarily city level as Tatte has a large menu of baked goods, actual meal options, and coffee choices all at around what you'd probably expect to pay for a place like this. The setup when first ordering is a little chaotic if there are a lot of people figuring out what to get between menu viewing and the glass case of premade baked items, but once you do get your order going you can find a table and sit with your number while you wait for your goods. For me, I got my coffee right away as it was a cold brew that was able to be made there. Twas a special at the time, an orange blossom vanilla cold foam cold brew. Was it unique? For sure. Did it entirely land? Not sure. I did try a sip of my mother's caramel latte and that seemed pretty legit. What was also legit was the grub. We each ordered a halloumi sunny-side breakfast sandwich which was delicious (though a tad more halloumi would've been perfection). Close to perfection as well was the pistachio croissant we shared. I definitely see the level of quality coming through in a spot like this. Overall, Tatte has some solid aspects working for it with plenty to love. Coffee seemed quality, food was fantastic, and the setup was great, though the blasting 80s music, despite totally in my wheelhouse, might have thrown the vibes off a tad. Either way, Tatte has what you're looking for, though personally, Garden City is a little far for me to get to these days. If Tatte does ever expand out east, you know I'll be pronouncing that name very often.

My friend ordered the Falafel Sandwich and a Irish Breakfast Tea. Besides the delicious food what else made this time at the Witches Brew extra special. Well it was our Waitress Sam. Sam was perfection from the start of the meal to the finish. She had the best vibes and attitude and wore the coolest looking Van's. We're not vegan, but as vegetarians we love vegan restaurants that have figured out how to make deliciousness out of plant-based foods. As tasty as the drinks were, it's really the vibe that I love. So random to find a place like this in our relatively normie area - maybe we can even find other weirdos like ourselves who also feel at home in a place that celebrates spooky fun like WBCH does.

Sure enough that casual t-shirt earned dirty looks from the staff, we were seated in a corner where others really couldn't see us. The person I was with was even greeted with a "you know that item costs this much" when they placed their order .....all because of my shirt. They are on UberEats so if you are dressed casual you can get it delivered (or perhaps pick it up) I am sad to hear that they will be closing, I do want to get there one more time for lunch as it was always a nice experience aside from the one encounter.

Seventh street staff is accommodating and attentive. The food was very good. We started with the hot antipasto. Although it's really only enough for two people. You need another app for more people. The bread basket was a nice touch. The menu is very extensive and well priced. I had the salmon which was well portioned and tasty with a Dijon. My aunt had a thin grilled chicken and vegetables. We both loved their scalloped potatoes, yum. My mother had gnocchi bolognese which was very good as well. For desert we went with rainbow cookie but it was missing that rainbow taste. The fruit tart with cream was nice but the cream could have been thicker to give it more taste. Cappuccinos were too light mostly milk in color and taste. Overall very happy this place is still here, it has everything and in a prime location.
