First time here tonight. Great place! Gorgeous interior and design. Staff was very attentive. We started with the duck roll and it was amazing. Prices are more than reasonable, and the sushi was very fresh. We ordered several different rolls and one was better than the next. I consider myself a sushi conniseur it was refreshing to see a place with such great food in my neighborhood. They also have lunch specials. I will be back. From their amazing Chicken & Shrimp Tempura rolls to their spicy tuna or peanut rolls. Each one is better than the next. The servers and staff and always polite and very attentive. Great local sushi place! I've been coming here pretty frequently lately, and I must say, this place is great. The food is outstanding, especially their specialty rolls. The service is great, very polite and attentive. The atmosphere of this place is very nice as well. This place plays music, but not too loud where you can't conversate. I'd never expect a to give a sushi place in Woodrow Plaza 5 stars, but what can I say, they do it well. I'm not super experienced with sushi, but I know what I like. My first time here, I went with the roll combo (Cali, Philly, Boston rolls, and your choice of side salad or miso soup) and was satisfied, but the second time around, I went with the lunch bento, and I can't recommend it enough. I personally went with the beef negimaki, which came with rice, shumai, a California roll, and your choice of soup/salad (also got a shrimp tempura roll on the side). A good amount of food for a fair price, and the staff is super friendly. I'll have to try other local sushi spots, but Misaki is the one to beat. read more

My buddy and I popped in here the other night to grab a bite to eat. Usually I'm hesitant to try a new sushi place without a solid recommendation from someone but this place looked very clean and a nice decor so we decided to give it a shot. We tried the "K-Mac Sliders" as a starter after the owner highly recommended it and they were pretty awesome! We each followed that up with some traditional rolls, pork gyoza and chicken fried rice. All in all it was a very good experience and I'll certainly be adding this to my go to list off sushi places. read more

I would give these guys 10 stars if Yelp would let me! Everything about Misaki is outstanding. I usually go to sushi restaurants in Manhattan but I was visiting a friend and we decided to check this new place out and we were both very happy with the experience. It's a shame I don't live closer as this would surely become my go-to sushi place! ATMOSPHERE: I really loved the modern and clean look. It made the dining experience very pleasant and comfortable and we didn't want to leave the place. FOOD: We loved everything we ordered, but my favorite hands down was the Chilean Sea Bass which just melts in your mouth. The sauce perfectly complements the fish. I could eat 10 of these dishes alone! We also ordered the Beach Monster, Caterpillar Remix, a sashimi plate and Rock Shrimp Tempura. The sashimi was super fresh and the perfectly crafted rolls are unlike anything I've had thus far. The presentation of the food was superb -- very creative. Just looking at the pictures on the menu makes me drool! SERVICE: Steven, the manager, is awesome. He is very attentive to everything we needed. The wait staff is also excellent, always with a smile on their face and ready to answer any question we had. Really just about everything here is outstanding! read more

Their specialized rolls are quite interesting and delicious, they have a nice variety of rolls! That's what I call creative cuisine!!!. Affordable and very good wine by the glass and good service. I do enjoy the rolls here and everything is fresh. There are, however, a good number of other places I like better in Brooklyn and the City. The salmon in the spicy salmon roll could be chopped a little more. I think it is the best place in my vicinity. For that reason, this is the one I prefer when I'm feenin for some Maki. I love this place. Great sushi, nice people, cute interior. Its my go to sushi place, eating in or ordering out. They had some fresh oysters on the specials when we went once, that were DELICIOUS and FRESH! Yum. Their sushi is really yummy. They have a ton of cool special rolls, appetizers with fresh fish. The non special roles are priced REALLY WELL... A rainbow roll for $8! Its my kids' favorite, so when its cheap and good, i am a happy mom. This is a very good Japanese/Sushi restaurant in my neighborhood. I always ate/ordered at Genki because it was the closed that I knew how it was that was also pretty good. But my mother made me try Misaki one day and I am glad I did! It is very clean and fresh, the food is always made to order and they actually care about the customer. When you go in you see the manager/owner knows his customers. He takes the time to chat with them and ask how they are, which in my mind means something, especially nowadays. Again the food is very fresh and really good. I always go for the lunch Bento box because I can't believe how much they give you for $10! It's ridiculous. What's more ridiculous is when you order the bento box "beef" the man asked me how I would like it cooked. I was very confused so I said medium rare, they delivered it to me and to my surprise it's actually a nice steak cut up, not the crappy "beef" other places usually have. read more

I've eaten here a number of times and the food was always excellent. Admittedly, I always order a sushi dinner so I have not tried many menu items, but I stick with it because it has always been very good. My wife has ordered a number of non-sushi items and has always been very happy. I doubt you can go wrong with anything on the menu. read more

This was always my go to place.. I've ordered from them twice this summer and I don't know if it's this heat wave but my last orders I've tossed completely in the garbage. It's so sad because I've given them a 5 star rating in the past but will not order from them again. I can't understand how the owner/manager would even let the orders go out based on color,smell... for me to throw out the whole order it's really bad.
