    Rosemary margarita
    Brian P.

Came here while on vacation. Great place. Good atmosphere. Menu is brought around by the staff. (Giant Chalkboard. I had an Old Fashioned.... Not great but everything else was outstanding. I had the fried calamari. It was tender and delicious, served with 2 sauces and fries underneath. Grilled salmon was delicious and plated beautifully. Desserts were outstanding! We came back for cheeseburgers at lunch a couple days later and again everything was great! I had a Rosemary Margarita?????? It had rosemary but just tasted like a normal margarita.

Wonderful food, service, view . Would definitely return when we travel back to Mismaloya

    Menu

Mismoloya Grill- our first time there last week . They assured me it was handicapped accessible and it most definitely was! There were 5 of us and we had a beautiful table but a less than comfortable evening! We sat for over 45 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Two of our friends wanted water and didn't want bottled water. They wanted tap water. The man who waited on us seemed to be in charge said they didn't have tap water and left the table and came back with small bottles of water that they seemed to throw at our friends. The food was delicious- tuna, Mahi Mahi and coconut shrimp were delicious. We also shared two delicious salads with lots of wonderful ingredients and blue cheese. The menu was large with a variety of options. At the end of dinner this same manager tossed a stack of slips of papers that contained each person's order in a folder on the table. There were no prices and no total. It was up to us to figure out what we owed. It was uncomfortable and rude. My husband took home a slice of coconut cream pie which he said was wonderful! I'm pretty sure we won't return!

Pinacolada, the pic doesn't do it justice.. it's big

Came here for an early dinner today. Beautiful views, all open right next to the water. Bc we came early dinner was just getting started so we got to pick our spot. The service is good. The don't give menus though, they just have a man sized board they carry to your table. Kinda funny but it worked out just fine. The Pinacolada is huge! The Calamari came crispy and delicious, comes with fries. I burned my tongue they were so hot but I don't regret it! Fish and chips, tasted fresh and I really liked the tarter sauce. Better than any I've tried before. The Coconut shrimp were the biggest jumbo prawns ever! Made with real coconut bits. Delicious!! Chicken spinach with saffron sauce, the chicken was a bit over cooked but the flavor was great! The saffron rice that comes with it was cheesy and I could eat a pool sized bowl of it;) Fish of the day was red snapper. It was perfectly cooked and very good as well. The view was perfect and the service too! We are leaving here stuffed and hap

Wowowowowowowow!!!! Definitely recommend this place! Went for lunch based off of great reviews and ended up returning the next day for dinner! Spectacular views of Playa Mismaloya. I suggest making a reservation 30-45 minutes before scheduled sunset so you can see the sunset into the cove. The food was great and the staff was also friendly and attentive. I could hear them joking with regulars who had been there previously. Had limonada with agua mineral with the picaña steak. Food was very tasty and the prices were extremely reasonable. Ended up paying around $75 usd for 4 people for great food. In the US would've easily been $50+ more. Overall a great experience, I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

What a treat! We choose this birthday for my husband's birthday . It was well worth the Uber ride. The view was spectacular and the food delicious . The people are so lovely and welcoming . Mexican hospitality at its best! I highly recommend Mismaloya Grill: Food changes nightly , so check what they are serving each night: We went on the Grill Night. Nothing can beat the view... what a place to enjoy the sunset !!! All in all it was a wonderful evening.

We had been so excited to eat here after reading the he rave reviews. The setting is lovely. It's on a terrace overlooking the Bay of Banderas. There are palm trees and beautiful water. But... the food seems to be hit or miss, mainly miss. First I ordered fried calamari, which comes with two sauces. It was pretty tasty. I ordered the habanero and mango chicken. The flavor was good, but the chicken was tough. Two of our friends ordered fresh tuna. Both said it was nearly inedible due to too much salt. One friend said he was taking it home to wash it with water and try to eat it. Another person at our table ordered the whole red snapper. My friend said the red snapper was really good. Hubby ordered the pork chop, which he said was ok. Two of us ordered margaritas, and they were fine. So then we ordered dessert, which was supposed to be homemade. The Dulce de Leche pie was tasty, but I ordered the tropical pie, which was tasteless. I did not eat it. So then the bill was a hot mess, several people's bills being wrong. So the owner strolled over to make sure the bills were correct. Usually, when you tell an owner or manager at a restaurant that something is amiss, they will apologize and try to make the customer happy. Not this dude. When told that the tuna had way too much salt on it, he proceeded to tell me that there must be something wrong with our "taste", as it couldn't be the food. My friend offered for him to take a bite of the leftovers and see for himself, he would not. We will never go there again.

Visiting PV from Reno, NV and found this place online. We were happy that we did! You have to check in at the front gate of the condo complex and get escorted down to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is lovely, and right on the water. Great views of the ocean, boats in the harbor and the beautiful hillside. The menu changes daily, so much so that they don't have printed menus - they have large chalk boards with the menu items that the staff happily brings to your table for you to review. We enjoyed mango margaritas, their calamari appetizer (amazing, with a light, herbed batter), Garlic Mahi-Mahi and trio fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp). The fish was fresh, and the sauce definitely delivered on the garlic! The fajitas were presented on a wooden slab and had a lovely grilled flavor, accented by their spicy salsa accompaniment. We ended with key lime pie and banoffee pie, both decadent, pairing perfectly with our Kahlua and coffees. The staff was friendly and very accommodating throughout our meal, even after, helping us secure a taxi ride back to our condo a few miles away. All of the people inside of the restaurant were raving about the food as well, adding to a very positive experience. We will definitely be going back soon!

As fresh as it gets. I had the Fajita Festival. Steaming hot chicken, steak, and shrimp on a bed of peppers and onions, with several items to add to the mix. Including the tastiest but hottest sauce I've ever had. Also, the fajitas are made in-house. The restaurant is directly on the water. Pics below. Ran by a family. Please visit this place! Quick tip: the menu can vary. For example, pizza is available on Wednesday only. Lastly, be patient!! They are a small family business. Don't expect fast food speed.

    Loving the view!!

I noticed right away that the kitchen is tiny. It made me wonder how they manage to put out so much food. Service was standard. Nothing to complain about while we were sitting there, but the aftermath was a disaster. My partner and I both got extremely sick a few hours after leaving. It was pretty clearly food poisoning, likely salmonella based on the symptoms. It is very disappointing since so many people talk this place up. I will not be going back. Would really caution and avoid if older or immunocompromised.

ATMOSPHERE: Open air patio, covered sidewalk and indoor seating. A piano player serenaded till 10pm-ish. Overhead lighting alternated between white and purple which made for not so good pics. MENU: Pizza, pasta, soups, salads & desserts. BEVERAGE: Pinot Grigio Whatever brand they served was very smooth. FOOD: Piemonte Their version of a caprese salad with soft bruschetta to the side. Fresh ingredients but we had to ask for basil as whatever greens lined the plate were not it. Estefano The fettuccine was cooked perfectly and came well-coated in a creamy-tangy alfredo sauce of fresh mushrooms and bits of deli ham. Very good! Arrabbiata Very tasty meatless dish. The spaghetti was a tad overcooked but the sauce was a bold, acidic tomato-base with a kick of heat. Another winner. SERVICE: Everyone was terrific. Welcoming and immediate greeting and seating. Our server was no exception as he checked on us throughout. This was in June which is the area's low season and late, around 9:30 pm, so both factors probably aided in the good service.
