crispy chicken bun

Favorite place for ramen in downtown Jersey City! The service here is fast and friendly. It's a cozy spot to eat ramen on any day. The ramen was delicious and I loved the broth. When I'm craving a bowl of ramen, you'll probably find me here!

Pork Ramen (with a few ingredients omitted to make it more kid friendly)

I came to Miso Ramen with my son at an off-peak hour (around 6 on a Tuesday) when it wasn't too busy, we were able to be seated right away. We ordered the pork gyoza which my picky 5 year old loved. For his first ever bowl of ramen in a restaurant, we ordered the pork ramen and the waiter was kind enough to allow us to omit the things that kids may not want to eat, such as mushrooms and ginger. Additionally, when the water wasn't cold enough for his liking, the waitress working gladly went to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of ice to add to his water. For these reasons, Miso Ramen is his new favorite restaurant! I got the spicy pork ramen. It wasn't very spicy, but it was tasty and I left my bowl empty. The meat in the soup was very good. I also got to finish my son's ramen leftovers the next day and it was still delicious.

Ordered the Chashu pork ramen - it came out piping hot and was delicious. Plenty of seating and fast service! Reasonable prices too. Recommend checking this place out.

Jellyfish Salad, $7

Ordered delivery tonight. Ordered the mushroom ramen and jellyfish salad. Delivery was on time. Food was hot (salad cold, obvi). The jellyfish salad was good! Jellyfish reminds me of glass noodles. It was flavorful and salty. I liked it. Had seaweed in it. Small portion for $7. The mushroom ramen was okay. The broth was ok. It was spicy, how I ordered it. Not many mushrooms. Asked for bok Choy, not much of that (paid extra). Asked for spinach. Not much of that. Noodles very soft. I prefer Al dente. It was a decent portion size for $17.50. Vivi bubble tea and south street ramen are better in my opinion, as far as ramen goes. It was a good try!!

I came here to try their pork bun because my coworker mentioned how she loves them here. The man taking my order was extremely kind and even gave me great advice few items on their menu to try another time. That other time came and I stopped by for lunch to try their ramen. I tried the scallion pancake for a starter and the pork ramen with an extra egg and kimchi on the side as my entree. The scallion pancake was flaky and well made. It came with a side of oyster sauce which was sweet and tasty. Complimented the pancake nicely. The ramen was very good! I would definitely come back to try more. I asked for more spice and they gave me a nice chili oil to add to my taste, perfect! I went late afternoon, I was spoiled, I believe I was the only guest at the time but I have noticed they get busier after 5pm and weekends. Very calm setting, they were playing nice lofi r&b and hip hop hits. My kind of vibe. I've had their salmon bun another time very tasty! Can't wait to try more

Chashu Ramen, Gyoza, Marbled Pork Bun
Amanda J.

The pork buns are the best way to start this meal. The balance between the pillowy bun, the crunch from the cabbage slaw in Mayo is needed against the fall apart juicy pork belly. The pork was a larger slice than I've had before and you could shred it with a fork. The preparation of the gyoza is less common as well. They are generously filled and seared the sauce or extra wonton wrapper creates a nice crepe like substance around each bite. The soy sauce and spice sauce helps add dimension to the dish. I loved the tiered chashu ramen presentation on delivery. The broth stayed extremely warm and the noodles didn't get soggy. You have to wait a little while to let the noodles marinade in the broth so that they can easily come apart and soak up the flavor. I would have liked a little bit of a spice element to add to the broth, but once I finally tasted the pickled ginger I knew that was its purpose. It's uncommon to find picked ginger in ramen, but I really enjoyed that. Aside of the soft boiled egg, which is always the piece I save for last, this chashu had the best flavor of any I'd had. Everything was delivered neatly packaged, warm, and the presentation was nice.

This place has decent ramen and very friendly staff which would have garnered 4 stars, but we were unfortunately disappointed with how incredibly slow our table's food came out. In most restaurants you'd serve the table altogether, but we got two ramen bowls first, then the third bowl came maybe 10 minutes later. After that we probably waited another 20 minutes and it took a good while until the staff noticed that there was an entire order missing... Someone came back to our table to take the order again (??) which made us seem like they forgot our last order! Luckily the three bowls that were sitting were still warm by the time the last person's bowl came out, but it was really an odd practice not to have everyone's dishes out at the same time. Oh - and I ordered the Takana ramen which is advertised to have all the fixings, including mushrooms.. To which I had literally one head of an mushroom (the size of a fingernail)?! Where is the rest of it and you think if you're paying almost $16-18 a bowl you'd get more for your money

Delicious takeout ramen! We were looking for somewhere to order delivery on a lazy Sunday evening and this place caught our eye. I normally don't love ordering ramen as takeout because I feel it usually doesn't taste the same as dining in but this place did a really great job with maintaining presentation and taste! We ordered the chicken ramen and chashu. It's often hard to find chicken ramen so I was excited to see it on the menu and the dish did not disappoint. My boyfriend also really enjoyed the chashu ramen. For takeout they separate the broth and noddles/toppings really well making it stay fresh during delivery and easy to serve. The pork buns were also really delicious and at $7, a total must add!

Had high expectations given the reviews, which were not met. So, the place and ambiance are really good and welcoming with the decor on the dark side feeling pretty intimate. Service okay, I wouldn't say super friendly. Had the chasu ramen and the broth was good, very taaty and hearty, not too salty so good (and that's why i give 3 stars). The ramen came with half egg, 3pieces of chasu, the ramen, a couple of mushrooms/mini boletus and a himt of ginger and scallion. I would say pretty pretty basic. Chashu needed more work, on the harder side, the boiled egg was good. Now, mixed feelings on the ramen itself. I guess that it surprised me that the type of noodles reminded me more a chinese type of noddles I would put in a beef noodle soup rather than in the japanese ramen. It was chewy and veey cooked noodle. Not what I was expecting (either thin or thick. Wavy) All in all, The food is ok and filling, that is why the 3 stars, because it ia a good place to hacve a meal, but not meeting my ramen expectations

Sooooo delicious! They have the nicest staff too which also makes me return again. Definitely a gem in downtown Jersey City worth checking out... again and again

Prime location, great relaxing interiors, and of course good ramen. Over years, there have been a few new ramen places that opened up in the area but I have come back to Miso Ramen many times. The ramen is obviously delicious and at a good price point but the attraction for me is to be able to enjoy my meal without having to sit in a deafening crowd or over-squeezed table space. Last visit, I had scallion pancake and wild spicy pepper Ramen. They're also BYOB.

The ramen was just about average, and for that had to wait for more than 30 mins, not worth the wait!

From the moment we walked in, the owner personally seated us and ended up cooking our food himself. He has a quirky, memorable personality that adds to the charm of the whole experience. It's the kind of place where you can tell the food is made with intention rather than being rushed out of a big commercial kitchen. The dishes were packed with flavor and tasted very authentic. You can really tell the ingredients and spices are balanced the way Thai food should be -- bold, savory, a little spicy, and deeply satisfying. Everything we ordered had great texture and presentation as well. Overall, it was a unique dining experience with authentic flavors and a memorable host. If you're looking for a polished corporate restaurant this isn't it -- but if you want something personal, quirky, and genuinely delicious, Prince & I is absolutely worth visiting. Would definitely come back!!
