There is definitely a language gap. I asked if the Cherry Blossom Roll was spicy, ( California roll in the inside and poke tuna on top) the waitress said yes, so I said great I'll get that. Well instead I ended up with a roll that had salmon on top of a California roll. I then said to the waitress I thought I ordered the Cherry Blossom, she then got upset and said no! Eventually I did get my order but was I was also charged for a roll I never ordered nor ate! Their sushi is just ok, nothing special, but definitely over priced. read more

Sushi and Sashimi were spot on delish, the Tonkatsu Chicken and Tempura Bento Box was okay and the Miso Soup was bland. The food for the BOAT was attractively presented. The waitress was attentive and provided us with more wasabi and ginger. Overall a good luncheon that my two friends really enjoyed. The Eel Sushi was a big hit and my only real issue was that the waitress was wearing to much perfume and it carried on the plates. My friends and I enjoy good Sashimi and the.Tuna and Escolar were perfect. We would return again to this place in the future. read more

My fiancé and I had the lunch special over this weekend, and I must say, I was most impressed. We started with oysters which were fresh and seasoned well. We both ordered a yummy, fresh and light bento box. I had the sashimi, with six pieces of salmon and tuna. He had the sushi, with two tuna. Since the lunch comes with miso soup and a refreshing noodle salad, this is the perfect 3:30 lunch/early dinner meal. The restaurant was pretty empty, but I'm an introvert and need my space from obnoxious dining idiots, so the setting was absolutely calm and cool. The waitress was charming and bubbly and this might be my new favorite sushi spot on the Southside. Will definitely be back for future lunches and dinners. read more

After reading such great reviews, my family decided to order carry out to give it a try. While I will say the sushi rolls were good, the way the restaurant functioned during a Friday night "rush" will deter us from ever ordering there again. Our order was incorrect, and when calling them to have it corrected I told "we are very busy." Excuse me? That's not how you run a business. I paid for something (our order was over $100) & it was missing, which should have been corrected. Extremely disappointed. read more

Sushi is one of my favorite food. I've been to many sushi places in town, I can definitely tell that this is one of the best with reasonable price. Heard that main chefs are from Southern California, they have unique and delicious roll and dishes. Thoughtful services; I brought my 9 months old boy and they served us rice with miso soup for him which we didn't even request! :) It was our second time been there, will definitely come back. I have ordered delivery from them a couple of times over the past few months and they were usually fairly decent, but my recent order was a total disappointment. I usually order the chicken katsu bento box, but I decided to try the sesame chicken bento for once. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food, not only did my order arrive super late and the meal was almost entirely cold, but each item of food was severely poor in taste and presentation. The portion of rice felt like it was sitting out for hours and was half hard, the California roll had an unpleasant sour taste, the salad was nothing but a sad pile of limp, warm lettuce with barely any dressing, there was only 1 piece of over-fried gyoza instead of the usual 2, the tempura shrimp had WAY TOO MUCH Batter and was just a flavorless, greasy mass of fried dough and the tempura sweet potatoes on the bottom were soggy from the steam. The sesame chicken while not too bad in flavor, looked like most of the pieces sat in water for too long and the sauce melted off, leaving it looking like wrinkled skin. Many of the pieces were fried too hard and most of them were far too chewy and I felt like I was eating leftover chicken scraps and hollow shells of fried batter. TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE $16! What's worse is that I had placed my order only 30 minutes after they had opened, so my food should have been WAY fresher than that! Safe to say, I will not be ordering from here again until they put more effort into making food the way it should be, FRESH, TASTY, AND APPEALING!!! read more
