    Burnt Crunchy Begal

I work at the Goodwill close by, I walk in ASUSUAL today, and the boss, or atleast thats what i like to call his seems off, didnt mind as much, till he has someone else do the begal i ordered from him, I ask the girl whos attending me now, for a little bit extra cream cheese and she charging me for an extra dollar, mind you im on my last CENTS, n she still asking for more when its usually 3.25 with cash 3.75 with tap, so i say thats new they dont usually ask me to pay more, so she still adds the cream cheese but when serving it she rolled it so quick, leaving right after, as i take a bite the begal is all burnt, and w barely any cream cheese, kinda upset when i could go anywhere else with my money but i went here and get treated like this with the little i have, wont be stopping by anymore.

Green chili and pork tamale with a mint green tea

They have a great selection of tamales here! I like the pork and green chili the best but the chicken came in close. There's also plenty of blended drink options - the mint green tea without whip cream is my go to. The donuts are fluffy - even the maple old fashioned which is my favorite.

If you like donut stores that smell like a porta potty on the outside, then this is the donut shop for you! It's in a terrible part of Reseda, and looks run down. But the donuts? Bangin'.

Best donuts in the valley. Fresh, good size and classic taste. This place has been around longer than I have and always add new things like tamales and now have THE ABSOLUTE BEST MOCHI DONUTS I HAVE EVER TRIED. I went to so many places and nothing compares to the mochi donuts here. They are so chewy and perfect without being doughy or heavy. I would highly recommend trying this place. I always buy my dozen donuts from here anytime I need to take it as a gift anywhere and people always finish up the whole box.

Got a fruit tart 1/2 sheet (it's huge) enough for 20+ people.

The fruit was fresh. This was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. I highly recommend. The mochi donut was also great! The service was also good.

We were in the area for the cicLAvia bicycle event and we made a pitstop at this shop. My girl bought her favorite which is the maple donut and it was very good. It was a bit dry but still had a good taste without being overly sweetened.

The BEST fruit tart cake in Valley.

No, I am NOT pregnant. :-) just cravings like most people have. Walked in this morning around 10am & was greeted by couple of employees. Both very nice, sweet, helpful and kind. They have so many different donuts, croissants, sandwiches, hot and cold coffee, espresso, latte, bottled drinks and more.. They have an indoor and outdoor seating and the place is super cute and very clean, chill and you get what you pay for. I got a dozen donuts from them and tried one on my way home and it was just decadent, fresh, fluffy and the frosting isn't overly sweet. Has parking and a restroom for their customers! Will definitely return next time I am in the Encino area. Established back in 1960 & Winnie/the owner of the place took over ownership in February of 2023. Give this donut shop a try and you will be very satisfied!!:-))

The next morning, I opened the box and realized how small the donuts really are for the price. Compared to Randy's Donuts, there's really no comparison. Further, they become a bit hard. There's also another donut shop south of the boulevard on Topanga Canyon (I believe around 4872 Topanga Canyon Blvd) that does an excellent job. If you go too late, they're usually sold out -- which says a lot. Sometimes driving a little farther for better quality, larger donuts, and fair prices is absolutely worth the trip.

There was a line to the door today when I arrived and I was at the front in a matter of minutes, thank you. This is a small local donut shop, popular among the community. Donuts here are tasty, they have a variety from old fashioned, cake style, jelly filled l, twists, glazed, Apple fritters and more. They also do various sandwiches and serve coffee, drinks, smoothies and boba. The guy in front of me was ordering a breakfast sandwich with bacon, cheese and egg, sounded so good, maybe next time. I got a mix of various donuts, sweet flaky, firm and light, they do them right here. Enjoy!

While we had a nice adventure getting here, sadly, that's where the positives end. FOOD The donuts were EXTREMELY dry and hard. I strongly suspect these were beyond-day old donuts. We also purchased a donut in store, and it was significantly less dry, similar to a store packaged entenmanns donut. The variety of donuts, was actually decent, and included a filled donut, an apple fritter, bear claw, both yeasted and cake donuts. I always find it funny when I get a donut surprise bag and there's at least three donuts with coconut sprinkles on them. PICK UP EXPERIENCE/SERVICE We had to shout to get the attention of the person in the back. She quickly handed us the box and walked away. She never asked if we want to purchase anything else. We did. So we had to shout, once again, to bring her back to sell us a cake donut with sprinkles ($1.45!) The plaza had parking, so it was at least to do the pick up. GENERAL OBSERVATION. No one wants the coconut sprinkle donuts. They always look dry and sad. Stop putting coconut sprinkles on donuts. Seriously. Unless there's pineapple in the donut, then just stop it. No one buys these donuts, and yet you keep making them.

The interior decor is a bit outdated, and it's a bit cramped. I cannot for the life of me fathom what would cause it, but there is a distinct odor from the place itself. It doesn't prevent me from enjoying my meal, but it is pretty strong. Also, the unfortunate location of the place which is near a 7-Eleven and near a major crossing street, just made the experience a bit unnerving. You see homeless folks (or unhoused, if you want to be politically correct) lounging around, and you're left to wonder when the next riot or zombie outbreak will happen. Otherwise, the food is great, it felt like home and pretty delicious. It was packed with flavor, albeit the price is a bit steep. I have no other issue with the place, I think it deserves its fair share.
