I am going back to ask for a refund. I was disappointed when I left, and asked for my thumb to be cleaned up. This is the worst manicure I've ever received. The gel top coat does not fully cover underneath, so my nail is matte. The polish doesn't go all the way down to my cutilcle, it looks grown out and I got it yesterday. There are chunks and splotches of uneven polish because the manicurist was picking at my nails with a tool between layers. Very odd. Friendly staff and i was surprised it was this bad ***Update! If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been going to Lin for over 4 years and she's is the absolute best. As of a few weeks ago, there are new owners and she's no longer there. I went for my regular appt and was not told she was gone, even though I came in a couple days before to change the time and said I was with Lin. I have always have extremely strong, long nails. I have never had to take a break from gel in the last 4 years because Lin is so meticulous. One manicure with the new ownership and within a week, my nails are all splitting in half. They also burned me multiple times trying to take the nail polish off and didn't understand enough English to respond when I said it was painful. Stay far far away!! read more

I have been going to this salon for years! I used Jay and my daughter used Lynn. Both of them are better than good! They are superior! They do an amazing job! They are pleasant and friendly and interesting to speak with. Unfortunately, as of this past Tuesday, new owners took over this salon. I was in there twice in one day just to speak to them. There was a man who seemed not to understand and who was definitely not able to speak English and a woman who said she was the owner. She was rather unpleasant and unfriendly. I just visited this salon with my best friend for her upcoming wedding. We mentioned several times that we wanted powder and showed a pic of what we wanted. Best description is ombré French manicure, which we were told is not possible. We then picked other colors. My bf and I have never had a powder mani but it became clear that they had completely ignored our request for powder and did gel. When I mentioned that this is not what we asked for, we were gaslit. It' was clear that they just didn't want to give us what we had asked for. To top off the experience, I mentioned several times that this manicure was for my bf wedding. Classic Nail is a solid nail salon in this neighborhood. The nail techs are professional and service is good. I think most people would consider Classic Nail clean. I am a bit of a germaphobe, so the hygiene standards are still below par for me. Things I like: - the nail techs are very nice and know what they are doing. This time, I had Mimi and she did a very good job. That being said, I've been pleased with all of the nail techs here - free WiFi - relatively modern - pedicure bath liners Now... A few areas that are key to improvement: - the tools are not in individually wrapped packages. In my opinion, in 2018, an autoclave sanitation is the minimally acceptable way to sanitize. - tools are reused when they should be disposable (nail files, wood sticks etc) - visible nail clippings on the floor make me question the cleanliness I usually prefer Apple Nails from a cleanliness standpoint, but Classic Nails is closer to my apartment. If Classic Nails improved these things, I would change this to a five star review and. Make it my go-to salon. read more

Probably the WORST 'spa pedicure' and powder manicure I have ever had. $48 for a spa pedicure which was supposed to include a 10 minute massage. I got maybe 5 min and no timer was set, what nail place doesn't set a timer for massage?? Did not address cuticles at all. I have literally NO IDEA what I paid $48 for. The powder manicure, absolutely terrible job. Didn't even soak my hands in water before taking a metal cuticle tool to my nail bed. No hand massage, just awful from start to finish. $93 with a $20 tip. I feel robbed. Save your money. Go ANYWHERE ELSE and you're guaranteed a better manicure pedicure read more

Disappointed with this business. I received a gift card in late 2019 - says it's valid for a year, which is clear. However, of that time, the spa was closed for some time and we are still today (May 5, 2021) in a pandemic. As a high risk individual, I have not gotten my nails done since March 2020 - I could not risk my health for a manicure, as much as I could have used one! Until I was vaccinated, I didn't feel comfortable and could not for health reasons. Now that I have the vaccine and feel more comfortable being in places that are still taking precautions, I asked if they would honor it given the circumstances. Obviously I had no way of anticipating there would be a pandemic in the few months the gift card was valid that were pre-covid, or I would have used it beforehand. I offered to further support them by purchasing other services at the time of redemption if they were to honor it. I understand businesses are struggling, and as someone who has been unemployed since March 2020, I understand how much every service is of value - I myself have not been able to afford much, if any, luxuries in the beauty realm. We have all been affected, but some understanding due to the situation and compromise would have been appreciated. I have done my best to support any local business over the last year, despite not having income, but individuals have been affected as well, so I don't think it was an unreasonable request. At the end of the day, they already had the money from the gift card being purchased, so I didn't think it would be much to ask, given the circumstances, for them to honor it. When I asked, they declined, said "everyone has a reason" and then promptly hung up. They lost a potential customer and I certainly will not consider them in the future. read more

Going to this salon was a spur of the moment decision. We were walking by, my manicure last week didn't come out especially good, I figured, why not? They did a really nice job on my hands. Extra attention was paid to my cuticles, which really needed it. The salon is very clean and the staff is friendly. My one criticism (and the reason for the 3 star review) was that the person who was doing my nails was the manager/counterperson. Every time someone came in, she stopped what she was doing to look at the appointment book or chat with them. My manicure took twice as long as it normally would have. read more

She was able to hold small talk and had a smile on her face for the majority of the time. She gave a very detailed mani pedi and I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. This place seemed disorganized and had poor customer service. People were coming in for appointments and it was clear that they had been forgotten about as no one was available to help them. My technician seemed constantly distracted. My girlfriend's technician could not understand that she wanted her nails rounded and kept trimming them ever shorter and shorter until they were flattened and stubby. When we chose not to leave a tip to communicate that we did not enjoy the experience, one of the technicians followed us outside and demanded we tip. This is my regular nail spot. I often walk in without an appointment and don't have to wait long. I also have been going here for some time so have an idea of when the busy times are. They are clean and efficient. I don't get gels just regular mani pedi and I'm always happy with the results. You can pay and tip on card which is nice and they offer a rewards card as well. I've never been rushed, but have been in situations where someone will start my nails and another customer walks in and someone else takes over. I don't like to cause a scene because this is my regular place, but that has happened to me twice, which is why I recommend making an appointment if you can. This place is impeccably clean - and the service is beyond any other. I come every two weeks without fail for both a manicure and a pedicure. With the manicures they always give a proper back massage without trying to rush. They are thorough, without considering time (in a good way!!) and not simply trying to get you out.
