Consistently lovely experience. They manage to be busy and popular while also always being able to provide availability for walk-ins. I always get a gel manicure and regular pedicure and for $50 I think the value is excellent. Diane is an exceptionally careful manicurist (but truly everyone is great). I've been here a handful of times, maybe the friendly staff made me come back, but this isn't the first time I've been disappointed. This is my last time coming here. I made an appointment at 9:30 for a mani pedi. It's been over an hour and a half and I have not gotten my manicure. Four other ladies walked in after me and left before me. Great customer service experience. I came to this salon 2 days ago for the first time and they exceeded my expectations. Extremely accommodating. I walked in 1 hour prior to closing without an appointment and they serviced me immediately without a hesitation. Likewise, 4 other patrons walked in near closing way after me and they too were serviced without a complaint that they were near closing. This is HUGE. I am well aware, these employees are at the end of their work day eager to head home to their families and they never appeared rushed. Extremely professional! Place was clean. Charges were explained clearly to me. Reasonably priced. If want extra amenities it is extra charge but definitely worth it. While sitting in the chair after a full day at work, I actually felt relaxed. The two ladies were pleasant, not rushed, and accommodating. They were respectful and did not chatter/ laugh loudly. They did not appear to talk about me in their native language. The massage chair setting was perfect! They were professional. The gal that did my manicure asked me how I liked my nails shaped. My fingernails turned out exactly how I wanted them to be. The gal that did my pedicure made my feet sandal friendly and ready for the summer and beach. Exactly what I wanted. I went recently and I got a mani pedi for my daughter and I, they charged me &128, they didn't tell me what was what for they just gave me a price. I mean it can be pricey but not that pricey. Anyways, the girl that did my manicure didn't do a good job on painting them, I mean I can change them polish but at least do a good job. I never had to pay so much. I decided to try out a new nail salon two weeks ago and I'm glad I did. My two sisters and I came for pedicures and were so pleased with our service. They were nice and prompt and had a great selection of colors. My experience was so good that I returned the following week with one of my girlfriends for a manicure (she had a pedicure) and she commented that her pedicure was extremely relaxing! The one caveat I had was that my manicure that was done on Friday is already starting to chip. It wasn't a gel manicure so I understand it wasn't going to last forever, but less than a week? :( All in all, I'd still go back. They're clean and prompt and that's good enough for me. read more

I chose to give this place 5 stars because of the customer service alone. I was greeted with friendly faces and smiles which only served to enhance my experience here. This was the first nail salon that didn't talk me out of getting chrome nails like all the other places I've been to. Also, I feel their pricing for chrome is verrry reasonable and they do excellent work. They seem very driven to make the customer happy and I definitely loved the nice conversations that were had between both the person (I believe the owner Kenny?) who did my my gel manicure and by the younger man who did my pedicure (not sure of his name). It's nice to be able to have small talk while doing nails and they seemed genuinely interested in conversation. The owner ken is very friendly and always there to ensure you're taken care of. They also offer waxing for a decent price. Typically spend 40 for gel and pedicure. I gave this place 2 stars because of the cleanliness and friendliness, HOWEVER, the pedicure I recieved was not worth 2 stars at all! I came in as a walk in last Friday evening and the place was busy. My friend recommended this salon and I'm 36 weeks pregnant and was in desperate need of a good pedicure. I told my nail tech that I really needed good cuticle and nail trimming and that the last pedicure I recieved, at a different location, was lacking the nail service. She nodded and proceeded with the pedicure. I asked if the basic spa pedicure included callus removal and she said yes. Which in fact in actually cost me $6 more come to find out at the end of the pedicure. I was put off by that, since she said it was included in the spa pedicure. She misinformed me and I would have not agreed to it knowing it cost more. I was really in need of good cuticle work and nail trimming and shaping... of which I told her at the beginning. Well she barely touched my smaller toes and nails and barely did any cuticle work on them. I asked her to file them round and she only did my big toes. I felt rushed on the nail service part of the pedicure, which is what I am really in need of since I am 36 weeks pregnant and can't do it myself. Every nail was different lengths and she didn't even try to match them. I had to actually go home and file them down to the shape I wanted and to make them all the same length. Polishing was a mess and she left lots of spots un-polished, mainly my big toe which is most noticeable. I am VERY displeased with the polish and will need to get repolished soon. . Which is a waste of my money and time. I was really hoping to like this place since everyone was so nice, but the nail service was not good and that is why people go to get pedicures! I feel like I need another pedicure after this one I received. Very disappointed. read more

I first noticed this nail shop while driving down PCH on my way home one day. I usually go to Nail Factory in Torrance, but they usually set up appointments so walk ins aren't always guaranteed & I didn't feel like spending over $100 that day . I made a last minute decision to get my nails done & decided to try this place out. I walked in around 3pm in the afternoon & the salon was full of customers. The interior seemed clean. All the spa chairs are aligned on the left side. They welcomed me & asked what I wanted. I asked for a spa pedicure & a full set. I was just gonna settle with pink & white, but decided to go for their sea shells instead (white). That cost $40 along with the glitter top coat "at no extra cost" and crystal gel. I received a french tip pedicure. Honestly, the lady who did it seemed like she didn't even try. I've had much much better. I didn't realize how bad the white tips looked until I got home. I thanked her anyways. I thanked her; I'm not the type to yell at people..only under certain circumstances. The lady (she looks young too) who did my full set kinda did a sloppy job. The shells looked like they were all over the place. She also burned my finger with her drill. Twice. She kept apologizing and looked completely embarrassed after I said "Ouch!" both times. She kept asking me, "Are you okay? I'm just concerned..." & I just responded with, "I'm fine, I'm fine." My whole experience there took an hour and a half. I ended up paying almost $70. Not worth it considering how my nails turned out. They were nice to me, but I don't see myself going back any time in the future. read more

Amazing service. I walked in at 6:55 and they close at 7. They kept the shop open just for my manicure. The lady explained they were about to close and would have to rush and do it. Needing the manicure urgently for an event tomorrow I agreed. To my surprise, it ended up being the best manicure I've ever had and one of the girls there gave me an amazing neck massage during my manicure- for FREE! I went in this morning for a spa pedicure. Place was clean with a good selection of nail polish, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The pedicure was less than average. I barely got a massage - the lady literally just ran her hand down my legs twice, and that was supposed to be the 'massage'. Same thing with the scrubbing - she took a pumice stone and did two scraping motions on each foot. What really upset me, however, was that she would pick up her phone and start texting - DURING my pedicure. No apologies, just dropping her tools to answer a text. Wtf?! I also had some remaining gel on my fingernails that I wanted to get removed. She soaked them in acetone, but took it off too soon so when she tried to scrape it off, it wouldn't come out. She then proceeded to buff/file the sh*t out of my nails - to the point where she scraped off my actual nails along with the polish. Ouch!! I feel like I should've just gotten charged for a polish change + cut down, because that's essentially what my 'pedicure' consisted of. read more

I had some great times here in the early '00s. I felt pampered and had beautiful nails for several weeks. Not so long ago, I dug up some gift certificates from 2002 from Miss Nails. I called to make sure they were still in business, and asked if they would still be honored. I was assured they would. When I went in, however, the woman who greeted me at first seemed quite willing to accept my gift certificate, but then I saw a shadow pass over her face, and she went to the back. A man emerged, presumably the manager or owner, and told me that they would not honor the gift certificate. Despite my pointing out that California law requires that gift certificates not expire, and that when one takes over a business, liabilities (including gift cards) are part of the package, he turned me away. I have filed a complaint with the board of cosmetology and barbering. If you are looking to dump money into a business, this is a great place for you. If you want integrity, however, this may not be the best place. I will take down this review if I receive a favorable response to my complaint with the board. read more

Over 2 years later and I still find myself only coming here. Kenny is an exceptional nail artist and owner. He truly cares for customer satisfaction, and tirelessly works every day to provide that. Him, China, Tammy, Mila, and the rest of the staff provide the absolute best service. My favorite part is going into their shop and saying hi to all of them! First time here, I had an appt, and still waited about 15 mins before someone even started on my nails. I was okay with that, Since it allowed me to look through the gel color options. They do have nice gel selection. Got acrylic fill $17, and gel color $15, total $32 + tip. That would be fine, except as soon as I got home my nail chipped in half. The acrylic chipped off half my nail! Then had to go back next day, to have them fix it. I wasn't happy about the quality of the fix at all, had to repeatedly explain that the fix looked lumpy. Only to get home and a second nail chipped-Ugh! Never coming back here again!!! read more

We had appointment for four pedicures at 4pm my mother and aunt arrived first and waited 10mins to be taken . Three people walked in after them and they accommodate them. My sister and I were eight minutes late and waited 55 mins to be seen. Something was wrong with my gel polish after the final coat, and I was told to pick another color as she filed that color off...Which made this appointment even longer. I felt my manicurist kept shaming me about my stained nails. ( I'm a hairstylist and my nails are always weak and color stained) we finally left at 7pm. I've been coming here for years. I always get a spa pedicure and Diane is the best!! Once in a while I have her clean my cuticles on my hands but I don't get polish. They feel so clean! The pedicure lasts up to a month sometimes! The place is clean and the foot and leg massage is great along with the massage chairs. The magazine selection is great, too. My nails look good, don't get me wrong but here are my list of pro's and con's PRO'S: Appointment time - i had an appointment and they took me right on the dot Polite - the ladies were all polite, but not friendly. They all smiled at me but there was not a lot of conversation. That's okay because I was just testing the place. i am sure they have a lot more rapport with regulars Price - I paid $12 for reg mani and $9 for eyebrows. Both came out good. I chose not to tip them because they did the satisfactory job i expected. No frills, no WOW. Easy - they didnt push me for extra services or talk my ear off. Cons, not many but still worth a notice Wandering eyes - my lady was not very focused on me, she kept gazing around at everything else. Had I not been paying attention to what she was doing, she could have possibly knicked my hand or something. Gentle - she was TOOOOOO gentle on my manicure. Massage and all. I am one of those few sadistic souls that LOVE a rough manicure. i have lots of extra skin on my nails that I take pleasure in feeling scrubbed off. My search is over! Miss Nails was recommended to me by a long time customer. I was told, "Go to Kenny. He'll make sure you're happy.". And, my friend was right. I've been in California for 5 years and was still searching for a nail tech that did my nails the way I want them to look. My old tech (of 7 years) back home had me spoiled and knew exactly what I liked. But, now that I've found Kenny.. my 5 year search is over. He listens. Plain and simple. He genuinely wants his customers to be happy. I drive all the way from Long Beach to Torrance and will continue to as long as they are open. The shop is always immaculate and each station is wiped down before a new customer arrives. I haven't gotten a pedicure there yet, but I watch every time I go in. They look so relaxing and all the ladies that work there are very friendly and like to talk. I've had pink and white full sets and regular full sets with polish. Should've waited for Kenny. Instead, I let myself get talked into a pedicure and full acrylic set, (what I went in for was full set pink and white, white tip). Paid nearly $70 for both, and they didn't tell me until afterwards that the nail polish they put on my toes would take an hour to dry. If I would've known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have bothered. Besides, a kindergartener could've done a better paint job. And as far as the acrylics, she didn't fully cover my nail, saying it would look, "too wide," thus, they already started lifting that same week, and my nail beds HURT so bad due to the over filing. They didn't stop hurting for a week!! Maybe it was my mistake telling them it was my first pedicure, so they figured I never had my nails done either. Bottom line, WAIT FOR KENNY, and SKIP THE PEDICURE!! Sorely disappointed. Will update my review next time I go in and have Kenny due my full set!! read more

My pedicure was professionally done by the salon owner and she was extremely gentle and caring, I wanted to nap! She made me feel comfortable and the job was well done. I also got an eyebrow wax and it was extremely relaxing! She was very detailed even with my sensitive skin. They came out looking exactly like I wanted them. I love this spot. He gave bare minimum compensation. then later tried to blame the customer.... absolute zero rating.... the rating of "one" given is only by coercion of the yelp app. after all the heightened awareness about the validity of discrimination you would think ppl would do better. this will not go unreported! uneffing- believable! not only did they suck up three and a half hours of my time for BASIC service, I later found out they blamed me for their poor service. these people need to be shut down...Mila..find another employer..you are a great technician but this is the wrong spot for you... they just blocked me from making an appointment with you (which means I actually, originally, forgave the previous poor service by China... better yet, open up your own business....first Kenny lied and said you were not available..then when I told him I already made the appointment with the 1st person that answered the phone, presumably China, he kept back paddling and telling more lies. racists pricks... how dare they blame the customer for their own blantant and admitted mistake...stereotyping at its finest !!!! but then the lies...what a fake jerk!!! don't believe the facade.... the equipment is filthy... (and may be replaced by the time you make a visit).... on top of incompetency, China attempted to put my feet in a bowl with no plastic covering, which had a clipped nail in it from a previous job....totally disgusting! Additionally, their lack of concern for the health of the individual is appalling.... I was left with chipping gel nails with no where to go!.... and I well save the rest for my FORMAL report! I tried Miss Nails this week and they were fantastic! Even with having to accommodate all the covid restrictions, they were able to schedule with easily via text and gave me the BEST mani pedi I've had in a very long time. Its been months since I've had my nails done because of Covid so they had to work HARD to remove skin and clean up these cuticles. The ladies who did my nails were so sweet and funny. They did such a good job on the nails and the leg and arm massages were wonderful. Will definitely make this my new regular nail salon! read more
