Delicious spring rolls. The Vietnamese curry was sweet and smooth. The Korean BBQ had a satisfying beef hit that was simple and tasty. The restaurant is obviously popular because around 6:30 on a Saturday afternoon it filled up with a steady stream of local residents, a mix of Asian- and Euro-American ethnicities. The servers are patient and friendly, and the timing of dish presentation was appropriate for a kitchen that prepared each meal when ordered. Ok....I reviewed this place before a couple years ago....turns out I was ordering the wrong thing. I'm in love with this price now! Four things that have turned into favorites for me: Their Rare Meat Pho, their Crispy Eggrolls, their Pan Fried Dumplings and their Chocolate Boba. The Crispy Eggrolls come out steaming hot and are delish! They come with a carrot sauce but I subsitute that with their yummy (but somewhat thick) peanut sauce. Their dumplings are tender, full of flavor and come with an "I don't care what it is but it tastes amazing" sauce to dip them in. The Chocolate Boba is a great drink. Basically a thin chocolate milkshake with big black bubbles that give it an interesting texture. Lastly, the Pho. I get it with the rare steak. The broth is amazing. I'm not a huge vegetable lover....so I don't put the bean sprouts in the pho. I put some of their chili garlic sauce in there to spice it up, along with the jalapeno's and a squeeze of lime. The meat is awesome, the broth is awesome (especially on a cold day) and the noodles are great too. The serving size is massive so it's a great value. I've eaten here 3 times in the past 6 days. This would have been a 4star review, but I have to take down a star for the Asian weirdness. I'll explain later. Pho came out pretty hot and well seasoned. Not too salty or oily. I asked for the rare steak on the side, so that I can put it in later and have it medium rare. I got it just how I asked. I asked for a hot viet coffee with the condensed milk. It was very good, though they could bring some extra hot water or offer some, so that you can pour a bit more to top it off. The boba was over cooked and mushy, that was in the thai tea my wife had. Now on to the Asian weirdness... My 4 month old son is with us, the waitress proceeds to coo to our son. Yes he's stink'n cute so we expect this everywhere we go. She then proceeds to put out her hands calling for our son to come to her. And then takes him out of my wife's hands! Then she proceeds to tells us, "stay here I'm going to show my daughter." She starts to walk away and go to the kitchen. My wife's jaw is ajar, "I don't like that," she says. I tell her, "just go follow her, now." Let's stop here and think this out... Woman coos to son, within about 5 seconds is taking him away, wife is not sure what to do, and the waitress is telling us she'll be right back as she's walking away from our table. We get our son back in about 30sec. I'm fine now, I have my son back. But this is strange. I know this is nothing more than a cultural thing, something I've experienced dozens of times elsewhere in other households. But we're conservative, and this is the first time this has happened to us! I guess if she had asked to hold our son, I'd be okay with it. But to just reach out and take him... Consider me shocked to have experienced a new Asian cultural etiquette first hand, in TX no less. Okay back to your regularly schedueled review... Every time I visit my family in Texas, I HAVE to eat here! I'm telling you, east coast just can't get it right. Fried Spring rolls: not overwhelming, fresh lettuce/cilantro/mint leaves, excellent fish sauce, with an additional layer of crisp inside. my goodness!! Combination Pho: broth and noodles are just delicious. You know it's good when you continue to sip on the broth and it comes out piping hot. Definitely comforting. Boba: Yum!! We decided to try this place because of all of the positive reviews. We were sorely disappointed. When we got there we were the only people in the place. So we figured the food would get out to us quickly. The appetizer came out pretty quickly (fried dumplings). We waited literally over an hour for our pho to come out. While we were waiting a group of teen girls came in and were brought their food and drinks within a few minutes. I guess they were friends of the workers or something. It was really insane how long we waited with no explanation. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is my pho was really good (shrimp with the carb free tofu noodles). I've had this place once, and regretted it ever since. This place is made for Americans. Not authentic Vietnamese food. Everything is bland and under-seasoned. I had the pork chop rice plate, and all I can say is ugh. Looking at it made me lose my appetite, I didn't not eat it. The box was filled with white rice and 1 piece of pork chop. I have been going here for three years and it continues to impress me. This is the type of place where the regulars get to know the owner and their family. We ate there the other night and we had two bowls of chicken pho, one bowl of vegi pho and some pork and rice, it was all great. They are quick and easy. Came back here for lunch to fulfill a pho craving that just wouldn't quit. Since I am always *gogogo* for lunch I never have much time to sit down. Wish I did, this place is beautiful and an intimate environment, reminds me of walking into a spa. I love coming here to pick up some of their chicken pho because they are friendly, fast, and fresh. This is hands down my favorite Pho restaurant!!! Me and my wife are pretty much regulars here and just love this place. My wife is not much of a Pho person but she loves the cold noodle dishes served with pork; I really like that dish as well. When it comes to Pho however, you just can't beat this place. They have any flavor or combination of Pho that you desire. You can even substitute no carb and wheat noodles for a little extra. An they will even go so far as to make it with low sodium or no sodium as well. I finally tried Pho! I have to say....pretty tasty bowl of noodles and meat! We started with the Vietnamese Crepe...freaking delicious. The crepe had a little crisp and crunch to it and was filled with shrimp, veggies and beef - very flavorful. Pretty big portion too- one person could have this as an entree and maybe get a little salad and be set. I had the rare beef pho and the broth was flavorful, the noodles weren't gummy or chewy and the condiments were very fresh. Service has really declined. I ordered pork spring rolls in a to go order. On the phone, it was quite loud so I understand the waitress may may have heard me say pork, but usually they read back my order before hanging up. They didnt this time and when I got there, they had the wrong spring rolls in my order. I calmly asked which ones they had made and asked for what I originally ordered. The owner herself said I ordered the wrong ones and I made a mistake. She argued that it was my fault and I apologised while she huffed and puffed, going back in the kitchen with such an attitude. Now I get you're busy, but that was so rude. I'm not a mean customer, I just want what I ordered. Arguing with customers is such poor service, I will never come back to your restaurant and I will always recommend your competitors over you. read more

I've only had one thing here, and it's been really good each of the three times I had it: The pork on noodles. The pork tastes so so so so good. It might be the best pork of the type I've tried. The noodles are cooked right and the carrotty sauce (I don't know the name, but it's the usual condiment for these things) is especially good. My only complaint would be that there are not enough veggies for my taste. Why 4 stars? Well, I haven't tried the pho yet and it's kinda pricey for pho in the area. I very seldom rate anything to the max, but I am ALWAYS happy to eat here. Dine in or take out, leftovers, it is always good. Is it authentic? I don't know, don't care, but will say that it compares closely to Vietnamese restaurants I have been to in California, Seattle, Houston, Arlington, and other places. No two are identical, but the trend is that it's light and fresh, and Miss Saigon in Hurst is very fresh. We go semi-regularly for a couple years, and have never been disappointed. The sandwiches are excellent, the pho' is very good, the other dishes are amazing - we keep returning for the grilled pork on rice. I heard the people who like truly authentic Vietnamese food are sometimes disappointed because Miss Saigon lightens the food of the fat, but that if you want it with more fat, just say so - and they will make it that way for you. I like it as-is, wouldn't want it any other way! The dining room is clean and nice, very calming. The prices are very reasonable. The service is good. read more

Been to Miss Saigon Cafe several times before. First time returning during the pandemic and we had the best meal there. If you like beef, tomato and like it spicy, go for the Spicy Beef Tomato Pho Soup! The right level of spiciness and the beef is super tender. Love the beef is cut in cubes! Next up is the Miss Saigon Noodles with Pork (available with beef, chicken, shrimp as well). It is now my hubby's favorite stir fry noodle dish. Very tasty and great noodle texture. He inhaled it before I was half way through my pho. I substituted the pho with glass noodles and it was worth the extra. Truly appreciate this place using finer ingredients than the typical Vietnamese restaurants. We will be back more often. The ladies there work really hard and it is a small crew. So be patient. Meat trio vermicelli bowl. FTW. Came in on a weekend night without calling ahead because I had some questions about the menu. Glad I walked in for the first time. Staff was very helpful in explaining some of their dishes and how they were named and what they recommended. The place was packed. Great for y'all. Our first visit. Food was tasty and fresh. Not as much spice as standard Vietnam food places. They have the additional sauces and spices at table do you can adjust taste to suit. Have been looking forward to this place for quite some time given the 4 stars review. Have read several reviews on the lack of speed, so had timed it when I visited them this past Saturday for lunch. One thing I've noticed right away is that they have cloth napkins instead of paper, so that was a nice touch when seated. My daughter had a soccer game in that area, so I decided what best to get my pho after I dropped her off for soccer. It was early, around 11:15am when my son and I got there. We were the 2nd table to be seated in an otherwise empty place. Took about 5min for them to get our water and menu. After we ordered, it took exactly 15min for them to get our combo pho and bbq pork bahn mi. The pho is just one size, unlike most other places that have several sizes to choose from. I've been to many pho and vietnamese restaurant over the year, and as others have mentioned, this should be done within 5min. Taking 15min when there are only 2 tables is no excuse. Not sure why it took so long. The bahn mi was missing the crunchy carrots, and the cucumber slices were cut very thick...would be far better if it was thinner. Taste was OK, but not very much meat. As for pho, it had a bland taste as it wasn't anything unique that shouts out that I must come back soon. I had the combo, so it had little of everything. I recalled the meat balls were a bit chewy, so not sure if these are home made or generic frozen version which I believe is what these are. Noticed the one lady (cashier and waitress) was busy as she only has 1 busboy to help her. I waited for my bill for more than 5min. Finally decided to just go to the counter to pay for my bill. Again, the food is OK here, but the lack of service in terms of speed and attention to customers is something they could do better. Keep in mind we were there early on Saturday, so the crowd was light. By the time we left, there were maybe 5 tables, still easily manageable. I know there are not many choices within 5 miles radius, but if you can do 10 miles radius towards Irving or Arlington, you'll easily find much better phos elsewhere. read more

As an avid pho eater, I was very disappointed. I sat towards the back of the restaurant as because it was too cold by the front door. As soon as we got to the back, we could smell something displeasing. Perhaps mildew, or stagnant water. When the pho came after 15 minutes, normally just a couple minute dish, it's was just warm instead of piping hot. The heat was needed to cook my beef. The tendon was hard instead of soft and therefor could not chew it. Lastly the flavor of the soup was overpowered by just 1 ingredient. All in all, it was edible but definitely not a representation of pho. Also, the ingredients they use could be at best described as "sub-par". read more

I would have given this restaurant one star had it not been for their boba tea, which I ordered to-go. I ordered the mango boba tea - they were out of taro. The tapioca pearls were the right softness (slightly al dente) and not too sweet. Unlike other boba teas that simply use the "bubble tea" mix for flavor, this boba tea was clearly made with fruit. Unfortunately, the service was slower than a turtle crossing a hot Texas road. The hostess took a detour to chat with some patrons who were already enjoying their pho. After a few minutes of idle chit chat she finally gave me a menu. I ordered the vermicelli with grilled pork and a spring roll. I checked in on Foursquare, caught up on news, checked my FB page, and checked my email. Then someone brought over the carrot sauce/dressing. Excited to finally check out if the food was up to par, I was sorely disappointed when it took another 15 minutes for my simple order to come out. The staff seemed to care more about taking pictures of their food than actually serving their customers. Did I mention the food photography?!? So if you catch their new food photos just know that my dinner was delayed for those shots! Hahaha! Overall the food was on par with other Vietnamese places I've patronized. I would have preferred a smokier grilled pork instead of something that was probably cooked in a pan. The Thai iced tea I ordered with the meal was weak -- even before all the ice melted while awaiting my food -- and served with a huge dollop of whipped cream in addition to the sweetened condensed milk. Say wha---?!? This last bit is my own quirk: the bean sprouts did not have the ends pinched off. I like my bean sprouts without the funny tail and head. It shows some commitment to the food prep but I get it is time consuming and not a lot of people appreciate that kind of detail. So take this last bit for what it is worth. read more

Located in a quiet deserted looking strip mall lies Miss Saigon Cafe. Upon walking in, I could smell the aroma of pho filling the air. I felt confident that this place was going to be a hit. I ordered the beef pho. Soup tasted good but not great. The noodles were clumped up together and lots of effort had to be made to loosen it up. Then as I sampled a cut of the meat, it tasted dry just like how it looked. The meatballs were probably the best tasting piece of meat there which is not that great either. My hubs ordered the shaken beef (bu loc lac); probably the biggest disappointment of the day. The beef cut was dry and salty. The salad that came on the side was really good though. So the moral of the story is to always stick to the pho place you have been spoiled by which in my case is pho pasteur on beltline and josey ln. Why must the metroplex be so spread out? read more

A great, albeit small restaurant, located in a strip mall walking distance from North East Mall. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is dark and mysterious. I usually get meat of some kind, but once time I accidentally ordered a vegetable-noodle dish of some kind and ate it all! I typically go with the shrimp fried rice. Lots of really neat, possibly authentic, drinks are also available. As with most fine restaurants presentation is taken into consideration. The don't just slop your grub on a trough like most places. They take care to arrange the food on the plate making it almost a crime to start gobbling it up. read more

I had rare beef pho. Beef: The beef was so so. It was tender enough but not much flavor. Broth: The broth was fairly flavorless. Veggies/herbs: Ample cilantro, basil, and bean sprouts. Could have had one or two more slices of jalapeno but the supply was adequate. Sauces: Hoisin sauce and red chili sauce were provided. These seriously bolstered the flavor of the pho from bland to OK, but it didn't quite get to the point of being very interesting. Noodles: Ample rice noodles, but flavorless of course. I enjoyed the pho - the herbs, the spice, the textures, but am I a fan? Is this a four rating? I seriously considered it, but a basic flavorless broth with some herbs and sauces just can't earn a four from me. Perhaps I am not experienced enough with Vietnamese to fairly judge. Perhaps this is honest Vietnamese cooking and it deserves better. I will say that nothing seemed phony or cheesy about this place - the food was straightforward and good. It just didn't wow me. For the price, I will say it was plenty of food and certainly I would not discourage anyone from giving it a try. read more

Miss Saigon Cafe is tucked into a strip mall near Northeast mall just off 820 and 121. I ordered the curry chicken rice plate and my friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and then a bowl of rare beef pho. My rice bowl was tasty, but a little scant. His sandwich was delicious, but a little small. He liked his pho and that, together with the sandwich filled him up. I had the ginger green tea (which is absolutely fantastic) and he got a bubble tea which was a lot of fun to drink/eat. I asked about the avocado flavor bubble drink (it was ordered a lot so it must be very popular) and the owner (I think she was the owner) gave me some to try. Overall, the food was okay. The drinks were fantastic. The overall atmosphere was comfortable and the place was clean. I think this will be one of those places that I will not object to eating at when I am over that way, but I won't seek it out. It is not a bad place, I was just a little underwhelmed. read more
