First time visit. Good selection of meats. I pride myself as an expert on smoking and eating good quality pork BBQ. Some of the very best pulled pork BBQ comes off of my own cooker! So I selected the beef brisket to try. Cashier self-service person asked me if I wanted moist or dry brisket! Lol. I guess they don't understand how to explain the different sections of a full brisket! So played along and picked the moist section. I also selected a side of collard greens and mac and cheese. The greens were average and I could have passed on the m&c. The side of cornbread was about average for that normally over baked dry stuff. However the brisket was very good. Portion for a half pound serving seemed small. They have a great selection of six different house made sauces. Everyone should find one they like. Also ordered a peach cobbler. I've had better frozen stuff years ago that I would not even considering buying today. Pass on peach cobbler. I judge BBQ joints on not only the meats they serve but also the sides and deserts as well. Offering draft beer is also a nice extra, but never reflects on my opinion of the BBQ. I give them high score on the meets and sauces, and low marks on their sides and deserts. If I had ordered a BBQ sandwich with side of fries and a drink, I would give high marks. But I did not. We've been here several times and each time the quality of food and service is the same. Food is good, comes out quick and the customer service goes above and beyond. They usually have someone that talks to the different tables to make sure they have everything and how their meal is going, this is highly unusual for a quick-service place. The hubby and I like to get the lean brisket sandwich and we get 3 sides. Then we split it. Our favorite sides are the macaroni and cheese and potato salad. The mac and cheese is baked and has a yummy crispy cheese on top. The potato salad dressing tasty and they use red potatoes with celery and onion which makes for a great texture. The brisket is so flavorful and we also use the Texas Twang sauce. You have the option of 6 different bbq sauces but you really could eat the bbq without them. I ate there 4 times this week, each time thimking the brisket would be hot.... very disappointed. The lady told me that sometimes they cut the meat and it loses its temperature. ission barbeque was a great find. They serve uo meat shots during the day. I had a brisket, which can make your mouth water. The pulled chicken sandwich with their Memphis barbeque sauce was a great combo. My wife had a classic salad with smoke Turkey, needless to say it was great. Went to Mission bbq with my wife. I had the brisket and she had the chicken on the black plate special. Staff was courteous and professional but the food left a lot to be desired. The brisket was good but somewhat overcooked. They either cooked it too long or kept it around for too long. My wife's chicken was extremely dry. It was definitely cooked way too long. We went to Mission bbq in Connecticut and it was great. I know that the meat has to be in a smoker but they have to keep it from drying out or petrifying. Had this for lunch last week catered by work. I was very impressed!! I don't eat much meat anymore but this meat very flavorful and juicy. They also provided various BBQ sauces to add; I went with the Memphis style. They also provided chips, slaw, and salad. I personally made myself some nachos with the supplies. Oh and the chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and lemonade were really good too! I did hear a friend who actually ate there that the portions are on the smaller side. I plan to check out their actual restaurant sometime soon to get the full experience but the catered lunch definitely made me want more! read more

I ordered a large order and it didn't take long at all. Not only was the staff fantastic but so was the food!!! I could RAVE about their green beans all day long. I would have to say this is THE best BBQ joint I've been to. The Brisket was so soft and juicy, the baked cheesy potatoes were divine, the green beans were ok and the cornbread was soft and moist. Ribs fell off the bone. Slider was perfect size for my daughter, pulled pork was tender and juicy. Everything was cooked to perfection. They have 6 tasty BBQ sauce choices that are also very good. So Mission is a chain I first encountered while on a work trip in Florida. After that, I seem to run into them everywhere except home (open a location in Atlanta, please). Mission BBQ has a very patriotic theme, at noon everyone stands for the national anthem. Each restaurant has a tribute to military and first responders. Which is pretty cool. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful cashier when we walked up and this set the tone for service. Everyone was helpful, not just friendly, helpful telling about the restaurant and products. Had lunch here two times. First time I tried the brisket (wet) and the BBQ chicken with the peach cobbler as a side. The second time I tried the pork plate with a sweet potato and the green beans with bacon. Each serving of meat was enough for me and my daughter to share and they tasted absolutely wonderful!! We've been wanting to try out Mission - since we met their team and truck at the kids Truck Day at the park. Finally got in for an early dinner. The service was wonderful - Simone took care of us, explained everything, came over to our table to talk with us and welcomed us for our first visit. We'd come back just to see her again! We were visiting Chattanooga and looking for a family friendly place to eat. We had eaten at the Mission BBQ in Nashville and really liked it, so we decided to give this one a try. It was very good. Between the four of us, we had brisket, turkey, and the jalapeño and cheddar sausage. They were all delicious and perfectly cooked. The sides were good too. They have a ton of different sauces to try. We each had our favorite. What made it even better were the employees. They were all so nice and helpful. Our youngest wasn't sure what he wanted so they let him sample the meat so he could decide. The restaurant is big so it's easy to social distance. Well the ribs are cooked tender they lacked a good flavor, That goes for all the different sauce options they have, yes 7 flavors we tried. Mac & cheese and baked beans and the sides we had, they have good flavor but again did not leave is wanting more. Cornbread on the other hand we both enjoyed, I found it to have a perfect amount of sweetness and a good texture. OH let this Texas girl tell ya about some good BBQ, cause I KNOW what it taste like and this place has got the goods! I was VERY skeptical because EVERY SINGLE bbq restaurant in this area has let me down so badly I had about given up. In fact I almost tried to convince my husband to go to Bad Daddy's next door because we have been there before and we know we like it. We walked in and were greeted by some lovely friendly people they said I could try to brisket before I ordered which was important to me because online they claimed it was Texas inspired. Well I was NOT disappointed. Just order you some extra moist with the burnt ends and it taste so close to home ya'll. My son was being difficult and decided he wanted Mac and cheese on top of turkey which I told him they didn't do but the lady cutting the meat in the back pipes up and said "I can make that happen for his" and she did 5-stars for her alone I didn't catch her name but she was wonderful. The Mac and cheese was just like you get at a family gathering and my husband loved all the sauce options. Last but absolutely not least is the Carmel apple cobbler it was just heaven on a spoon! They have up front veterans parking which is just a beautiful way to respect those that have fought hard for our country. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Love their brisket...so many choices...wet or dry (amount of fat) and how you want it sliced. Lots of great choices to satisfy your BBQ craving...love their side choices. If you like brunt ends like I do...just ask, not on the menu but they are available. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they all your name to pick up your food; however, there is always staff roaming the dining area to help and keep the tables clean! Wow! Is all I can say. Catered a lunch for 30 people for an internal business meeting, and the food and service were a hit. Particularly popular were the chopped beef brisket - YUM! and the decadent Mac & Cheese! The cole slaw topped the sliders off perfectly, and who doesn't like chocolate chip cookies that taste better than homemade and brownies! I tried this place about a month ago and every time I am in the area, I stop and pick up something there. On my first visit, they had Jalapeno cheese sausage. I asked about how much heat it had. They gave me a sample, I loved it and I always get it and the BBQ pork. For sides, I have coleslaw and baked beans. The coleslaw is good and the baked beans are amazing. The pork is good, but the jalapeno cheese sausage is amazing.; I always have it to go. I have not eaten in the restaurant. They have a wide selection of BBQ sauces, I have tried the vinegar, mustard, and KC style sauce. I have not eaten their other selections, and there's a good selection. Prices are reasonable and the staff is fabulous. If you like BBQ this is a place you have to try. read more

I just went here for the first time so I'm only reviewing one experience. I was immediately greeted from across the restaurant by the lady working the register. I explained it was my first time visiting a mission bbq and asked how it worked and she explained and gave me the specials. Food came out fast. Dining are was clean. Staff came by to check on us and even fetched some ketchup for my fries. I ordered the brisket. It was a tad dry but overall pretty good. They have 6 sauces on the table and I get the feeling the meats aren't seasoned much and they rely on your sauce preference to flavor the food. Overall a good experience. read more
