    Chopped Brisket Sandwich

Just beat the lunch crowd today, arriving at 11:20 am for an early lunch. This is our second time in and everything even better than last time. Customer service here is always top notch. A hostess walked by our booth today and saw Hub's Jalapeño Sausage. She recommended a mustard that goes really well with it, Georgiaah Mustard, then brought it over. Hubs agreed it was very good! Like a honey mustard. I ordered the moist brisket and smothered it in NC Vinegar Sauce that sits in a glass bottle on every table and it was delicious! A roll of paper towels and a six-pack of bbq sauces from different regions is on every table too. We ordered: - Bottle of Cheerwine - Fountain Drink - Brisket, Moist with Corn Bread, sides of Granny's Sweet Potato Mash, Kickin' Collard Greens. My large pile of sliced fresh and hot moist brisket really hit the spot today. These Collard Greens are THE BEST. You must try them. The whipped airy and creamy Sweet Potato mash with browned breadcrumbs on top was very good as well. - 3 Meat Sampler (Pulled Pork, Brisket, Jalapeño Sausage) with Corn Bread, Maggie's Mac-N-Cheese, Kickin' Collard Greens. Hubs loves these Collards too. I bet even kids would like these. I ended up dipping my cornbread in the collard juices.

Came for lunch and unbeknownst to us, got there right when they opened. The line was immediately to the door and rightfully so. Best BBQ in town. We shared the two meat tray with brisket and pulled pork. The meat was so tender and I loved trying all the BBQ sauces. We got fries and mac and cheese for sides. I'm usually not impressed with mac and cheese at restaurants but this one was so good! Super cheesy! And the hand cut fries, fav. The free cornbread was a nice touch but it was a little dry. I love the hero cup program that they do and it's nice you can pick $1 off a combo or a 99 cent refill if you bring the cup back in. Customer service was great. The girl at the register was happy to explain the menu to us. I love all the pictures, patches and memorabilia on the wall We will be back!!

We found our way over to the newly open Mission BBQ restaurant last month and we've been back several times since. Their new location in Surprise, AZ is welcoming, the food and service are top notch!! We had the pulled pork & brisket and went back to try their burgers & fries-yum, and recently tried the shrimp special. There's plenty of parking and as of 8/2025 there is some construction going on so be cautious of changing traffic signs. As you enter through the main doors, there is a space dedicated to the memory of the events of 9/11/2001. This heartfelt space is a special, and thoughtful remembrance specially since we are a 9/11 Family living in AZ. During the usual lunch & dinner times expect this place to be hoping and extremely busy. This does not take away from the customer service just know to be patient as you may need to wait for a table to open up. We are so happy to have a Mission BBQ close to us, finally!!

Hubby and I went in to eat since we did take out the first time. I love the happy faces and great service, definitely starts the experience right when you open the door! I got the lean brisket which truly was lean and so flavorful. It also had a nice smoke ring too! He got the smoked burger and enjoyed it. It tasted like it had a blend of meat which enhanced the flavor. (Smoked bacon on top would be a solid upgrade option) As a side we got the fries and they accidentally gave me fries too lol but that's a good problem to have. Those fries were perfect and the cook on them was crispy and golden, which was amazing for it being national French fry day today lol! Please open a second surprise location at 163rd Ave and Pat Tillman!

Excited for BBQ! BBQ is about the Brisket and Ribs for me, that's why I go and try BBQ. This was a tough one. So I'm going to have to break it into tiers. *** average food **** above average food ***** Unique and delicious food 5 Stars Mac and Cheese - nice crust on top, creamy but not goopy with good flavor. Green Beans - great flavor and nice pieces of bacon. Potato Salad - light and not overly creamy. Fresh and crunchy vegetables that provided a nice texture contrast that I really enjoyed! BBQ Sauces - an actual wide range of different sauces and flavor profiles. My favorites were the Baja and Tupelo. Brownie - maybe the best restaurant brownie I've ever had. Rich but not. Chewy but a little bit of crunch on the edge. 4 Stars Jalapeño & Cheese Sausage - nice balance of heat and sweet. Not too spicy at all. Really nice overall flavor. Classic Sausage - A quality, well prepared, simple piece of sausage. Baby Back Ribs (not pictured) - in the middle of fall off the bone and doesn't fall off the bone. I enjoyed the texture difference. Nice subtle flavors. Fries - lightly salted, crispy and had unique flavor and texture. Pulled Pork - nice smoke flavor with little parts charred providing texture and more flavor. 3 Stars Brisket - On two separate days, the brisket here was just okay. Okay flavor. The moist cuts and lean cuts were dry and lacked a good bark (for my liking), and not much of a smoke ring. CornBread - this is hit or miss. Day one is was dry, day two it was softer. Both days it was just cornbread, nothing special. Strawberry Shortcake - the strawberries were sliced to a perfect size. The cake was not dry. It was good, but like the cornbread, it was simply okay. Overall, the prices are more than reasonable compared to other BBQ restaurants. Their sides and brownies are absolutely delicious. I hope the Brisket gets better. Open for 2 days now! The atmosphere is very family friendly and extremely welcoming. The staff are very attentive, friendly and professional.

My sister picked up lunch for me so I wasn't able to go to the restaurant, but she had nothing but reviews about the staff, the inside, and the overall vibe. She got me a two meat combo, and I got turkey and the cheddar jalapeño sausage, and also tried the green beans and the baked potato casserole. Everything was absolutely delicious, and so freaking fresh. I loved the smoked barbecue sauce, and I can't wait to try more! The meats were moist and the sides were very flavorful. YUM.

I'm glad to see surprise got a new barbecue place this one wasn't bad remind me of Rudy's or Dickies nothing great but pretty good brisket was okay had light smoke decent amount of bark sausage had good flavor baked beans or little too sweet for me cornbread was good Unfortunately they didn't have my banana pudding barbecue sauces were not that good overall it was decent and they're not too expensive which makes it a little better if I want to barbecue that was around there I would go again nothing to go out of my way for

If you're looking for good barbecue on the Westside this is one of the best we have been to. It's nice to see a large chain restaurant put good food, service, country and Veterans as their priorities. If you are in the restaurant at noon they ask to stand uncover or salute the flag and sing the National anthem. Food was great staff are friendly, knowledgeable about menu and the place was spotless. We will be back again wife loved the smoke salmon and the brisket and pulled pork was on point both lean and fatty.

5/5 star rating! Brisket and ribs were seasoned just right. Service was wonderful. Ambiance was lively! Came at the busiest hour I'm assuming but got our food rather quickly.

On the way home, it felt like a sneakybird dinner. The staff is always pleasant and today was no different. Aleah welcomed me as I walked in. Gavin came over as I was debating what to order and expressing my appreciation for the restaurant. Jaeden was the manager on duty. I love that everyone in this family run business is so pleasant. It makes a difference. It was a slow afternoon since it was well before dinner. If you have not experienced sneakybird, this is your encouragement. Today I got 2 8-piece wings with tater tots. One with the garlic butter Parmesan rub and both tossed in teriyaki sauce. Of course, my order was all flats. I also order a side of Sneaky Slaw to try. The spice isn't for me but I added a "secret" ingredient and enjoyed my dinner. The decor is bright and inviting. The music is at a decent level. The restroom is always clean. There are so many dining options in Prasada that it's easy to overlook smaller joints like sneakybird. We started off by sharing the barbecue chicken flatbread. This was our favorite part of the meal. Not to dismiss the tastiness of our entrees--the flatbread was just that good. For our meals, we both got the chicken tender combos. I enjoyed mine with tater tots. I thought the combinations of dry rubs and sauces were really fun. Overall, my favorite sauce was the Fool's Gold, as I am a huge fan of mustard-based barbecue sauces. There was a bit of a wait to get our food, but we really enjoyed the food. The team members were also super helpful in navigating the menu and by making suggestions to best enjoy our chicken. Great spot!

My boyfriend and I split the Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich, and I can honestly say it was the best sourdough sandwich I've ever had. The bread is everything you want from fresh sourdough soft on the inside, just the right chew, and that perfect tang. The turkey was super flavorful, and the pesto and sauces were next level. Every bite felt so well balanced rich, fresh, and totally satisfying. We also grabbed a white macadamia cookie, and it was the cherry on top. Soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet seriously one of the best cookies I've had in a while. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was incredible. The girls working were so friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The space is small but super cute and cozy clean, inviting, and great for a casual meal. I really wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time (probably too often that bread is dangerously good ). If you're nearby or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is a gem. Highly recommend!

I got the kids steak meal which included their bread, parm mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese. The steak was seasoned well and good to medium like I ordered. The parm mash had a well balanced subtle flavor but that Mac n cheese was the highlight. There was a smokiness to the cheese and just so good plus the pasta shape is a bonus and allowed for the cheese to stick to it all! The packaging was great too! The atmosphere at Firebirds in Surprise is undeniably modern and polished. It has that "upscale…read moresteakhouse that also knows the game is on" vibe=very sleek. The bread was a fantastic start: hot, crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside (a solid opening act for the meal). The service was excellent. Joseph was bubbly, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The team clearly puts in effort; my wife noted he was "giving 100." Even the little detail of the hot towel at the end felt like a nice, polished touch. The food was a mixed bag, though. We tried the "Perfect Pair" lunch special, and I think the portion sizes were better suited for a younger eater than an adult. On the bright side, the chicken tortilla soup was a standout, flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The salmon club was also pretty good. The smash burger, unfortunately, was smaller and lacked punch...the bun seemed to take center stage over the actual meat. The mac and cheese was gooey but felt totally forgettable. One heads-up for future visitors: depending on where you sit, you might catch an occasional STRONG restroom smell. It's a lot less of a dealbreaker than the burger portion size, but something to know. Overall, it's worth visiting if you appreciate the modern aesthetic, the quality of the soup, and the great service from people like Joseph. (We did, however, have a bit of a digestive disagreement later in the evening, not sure if it was the salmon club, but the stomach disagreed with the plate.)
