    Chicken tikka masala with rice
    Bob K.

Stopped in while wandering around the area. I got a table by the window, and I was the only person there for lunch on a Saturday. First, they brought me papadum, gratis. Wow, that's standard on the East Coast, but I've never had that here. I ordered chicken tikka masala with rice, and veggie pakora. The pakora was a bit paltry, but the CTM was excellent, such a pretty presentation! I don't think the rice was basmati though. It just seemed like basic box white rice. The price was quite reasonable, and they paid good attention to me, which doesn't always happen when you're the only guest.

Cute restaurant with good food and service. Complimentary papadam has great flavor and I loved the sweet chutney. All the dishes had good flavor and I especially liked the saag paneer - very flavorful. The naan was nice and fluffy too Lowlights: - Chai is about $3 and it's good but it's an absolutely tiny teacup - Curries were mostly gravy, I wish there was more meat. Good portion sizes, came out to $30 per person with a bit of leftovers

Went here yesterday with my boyfriend!! The food was so delicious! We ordered tandoori chicken wings, assorted bread: butter, onion, garlic naan! Chicken momo, daal, lamb and two ginger ales! The server offered us the physical menu and also showed us that we could scan the digital menu. In addition I really appreciate the accommodations of making sure there were no tomatoes in our food order (I'm allergic to tomatoes). The server was really helpful on showing us another dish of daal to order. The daal felt like a warm hug sliding down our throat! So cozy! I love loved the lamb and the chicken Momo and the naan! The service is very attentive and the scenery of this restaurant has such a comfy cozy atmosphere! I really like how spread out the tables were and the different decorations and colors of the wallpaper. Definitely want to come back!

As a vegetarian, I really loved their veg chowmein -- incredibly flavorful and perfectly made and great service with friendly employees.

Great Food. I was craving a very juicy and delicious veg Momo and this satisfied my cravings. Staff are very friendly. Must try place. Great paintings in the wall, music playing in the background. Parking is free after 6 in the street. Open till late night.

This place gets an A+ on service. The waiter was really friendly and talkative and told us about how the restaurant started and who the owner was and how the restaurant is unique....really interesting by guy. The food and prices were superb as well! One naan and curry was plenty for a full meal and leftovers! The gluten free naans are very unique to this restaurant -- we didnt get to try them during our visit, but would definitely try them next time. They're made of rice flour instead of traditional white flour... I've never seen that at any other restaurant

I LOVE MISSION CURRY! This was our seventh time eating here. They never disappoint! We always order extra for left overs. Traveling over 2 hours is absolutely worth it.

Recently dine in this place with my freinds and love the foods with great service and the place is amazing.

The seating is spacious and sectioned off rather than one large open dining room, which allows for different arrangements and a nice sense of privacy between groups. The downside is that this layout seems to leave patrons on the right side, behind the wooden partition, nearly forgotten. We were handed our menus and then left alone for almost 15 minutes without anyone circling back to take our order. When we finally did order, the servers brought dishes to the wrong table and couldn't keep track of who had ordered what. That said, the food, atmosphere, and location could easily make up for it, I would consider coming back if I had to return to San Francisco.

Because it is a vegan restaurant, we were initially very excited, but the experience turned into a bit of a roller coaster ride. Seating & Atmosphere The Wait: The server made us wait 5 minutes to be seated, despite there being many empty tables. The Seating: We were placed at the open bar area tables. They have an indoor area with larger tables, which is likely why we weren't offered a choice. The Vibe: The music was loud and not to our taste. It is a small space, so I guess the high volume is meant to give tables some conversational privacy. The Food The prices are on the higher side, especially for the portion sizes, though the food ended up being quite filling. Here are the dishes we ordered: 1. Veg 'Clam' Chowder (4.5/5): The soup was great, with lots of vegetables and a perfect celery flavor. The server recommended that we squeeze the lemon given with it, and it really enhanced the soup. However, the paired bread was doughy and didn't taste good. 2. Veggie Samosa (3.5/5): Prepared like a puff pastry instead of a traditional deep-fried snack. The samosa itself was again really good but the tamarind chutney was too sour and subdued the flavor of the samosa. 3. Cheesecake with Strawberries (1.5/5): The cheesecake itself wasn't great, and the bitter chocolate and syrupy strawberry sauces made it worse. Worse yet, the blueberries and cut strawberry garnishes were stale. Seeing old fruit made me wonder about the freshness of the rest of their raw ingredients. Service The service was slow and inattentive. It took over 10 minutes just to place our dessert order, and another 10 minutes for it to arrive. On the positive side, our water was refilled promptly throughout the night. The Verdict Revisit Rating: 3.5/5 (Worth a second chance, as there are many other interesting dishes on the menu we want to try). Pro Tip: Skip the dessert entirely! We absolutely regretted ordering it.

However, the entrees we ordered were quite salty and didn't have much depth of flavor. Afterwards, we realized they don't use garlic or onion, which would have been helpful to know ahead of time since it really affects the flavor profile. If we had known that, we likely would have chosen a different spot. Overall, it wasn't quite what we were expecting given the menu and reviews.
