Solid 4.5/5. The interior is authentic and welcoming. Tons of Vegan, vegetarian, seafood, and meat dishes for all. We were in the city for a quick dinner before an event close by, and we appreciate their hospitality and fast service. We enjoyed the papadum which close to our fav Indian/Himalayan restaurant in DC. Really liked their coconut veggie curry, super creamy and flavorful with tons of vegetables. My partner said his paneer tiki masala was good, but my dish was better. We both chose spicy but the spice level was more like moderate. This is now becoming one of our fav Indian/Himalayan restaurant in the bay. Will come back to try more of their dishes. read more

Uber Eats order was gf garlic naan, butter naan, navaratan korma, dal makhni with a side of jeera rice. I just loved the food. I mean it felt like it was made by some Indian aunty or grandma in their home. It was soooooo non restaurant like iyk what I mean. I was craving Indian food yesterday and decided to give Mission Curry House a try. I ordered the shrimp vindaloo, basmati rice, and gulab jamun via DoorDash. The sauce for the vindaloo was excellent - perfect amount of spice and vinegar. The shrimp was a little on the dry side, but the sauce was so good that it made up for it. The gulab jamun was a bit pricy for two pieces ($5-6), but it was good as well. I can't really comment on the service or ambiance since I ordered delivery, but it is safe to say that this will be my new go-to when I'm craving vindaloo. read more

Stopped in while wandering around the area. I got a table by the window, and I was the only person there for lunch on a Saturday. First, they brought me papadum, gratis. Wow, that's standard on the East Coast, but I've never had that here. I ordered chicken tikka masala with rice, and veggie pakora. The pakora was a bit paltry, but the CTM was excellent, such a pretty presentation! I don't think the rice was basmati though. It just seemed like basic box white rice. The food was good, though a tad too salty. I ordered the vegetarian thali meal, which is plenty of food for two people. Garlic cheese naan was ehh, not as exciting as it sounds. I was impressed by the tikka masala and dal makhani. The paneer is firmer than I'm used to, which I did not enjoy. Definitely get the veggie momos! They are the BEST momos I've ever had. The salty lassi is not minty and much more umami than you'd expect. Similarly, the kheer has an extra flavor to it that makes it more savory. Not my taste. Service was hit or miss. They dropped off the check twice for some reason, and maybe there was a lot of confusion about table assignments? They also misunderstood my sister's request about the lassi. read more

Ok, so after years of just going from place to place around the city we, ( my husfriend and I), finally found our "go to" Indian restaurant. Great ambiance, pretty paintings, pillars and statues, free papadum and chutneys, a great vegan selection including our faves, coconut vegetable curry and spinach pakora, and a nice staff. So recently, they added 2 GIANT screens and started playing club music loudly. We and another group mentioned to the manager that the screens might be a bit off putting when they were still in boxes on the floor. Well they're up now and one plays the terrible music video while the other plays a silent dating show with what some might think are hot chicks on a beach. I'm not a sports fan but as my husfriend noted, they could have at least been showing the NBA Finals. Like how much extra money are they spending on these screens? Today may have been the nail in the coffin as it took a full half hour for the food to come when we were the only people seated. They gave us the wrong pakoras too. Anyway, maybe we'll order the food, which is still good, to take home. But we like yo eat out so we'll have to find a new "go to." read more

Went here yesterday with my boyfriend!! The food was so delicious! We ordered tandoori chicken wings, assorted bread: butter, onion, garlic naan! Chicken momo, daal, lamb and two ginger ales! The server offered us the physical menu and also showed us that we could scan the digital menu. In addition I really appreciate the accommodations of making sure there were no tomatoes in our food order (I'm allergic to tomatoes). The server was really helpful on showing us another dish of daal to order. The daal felt like a warm hug sliding down our throat! So cozy! I love loved the lamb and the chicken Momo and the naan! The waiter was really friendly and talkative and told us about how the restaurant started and who the owner was and how the restaurant is unique....really interesting by guy. First time at Mission curry and decided to go in on a holiday- Monday because we know there is more parking availability. It was about noon and we were the first customers. From the look of it, we could tell the establishment was well kept and tidy. The staff were very attentive and immediately gave us menus and took our order. We got the cheese dosa that came with sambar and two chilled dipping sauces, one was coconut based, we ordered the garlic naan, paneer tikka masala and the Bhindi masala. After ordering they brought us out a complimentary app that's like a thin spot shell with 3 dipping sauces, one spicy, one cilantro-y and one sweet. Honestly, I loved them all and especially together lol. Our food came out rather quickly and everything appeared super fresh. We loved the dosa with the sambar which we had never tried before and noticed how delicious and fresh the garlic naan was. One of the best Indian spots in town. The restaurant was decorated very traditionally and though we arrived right before closing the staff was very courteous and gave us a great window seat. Our waiter gave amazing recommendations and we shared everything family style. They gave us free papadum and chutney appetizers for start. Truly a hidden gem in the city! This is one of my fave places to go to for Indian food. I've consistently gone back several times for specifically the butter chicken (medium spicy), butter naan (which I like more than the garlic even though I am a garlic girl), and the Mango Lassi. The place is normally quite empty so seating isn't issue, but the main issue is finding parking. It's great for a simple date night with good food and being able to hear and have a conversation with your partner or friends. The servers are also so kind and attentive! read more
