Recently went to go get a smog check and was shocked at the price I was given. The gentleman I spoke with charged me $300.00! I told him no thanks and went to another smog check business and they charged me $49.00. I would not recommend this place as an ideal place to get your car smog checked if you are looking cost efficient price. read more

Service is what you expect from these types of place. The gentleman was friendly, not in a rush, and even smiled. I took 1 star off because the place is really "run-down" looking. Not a lot of seating when you wait and the seating is outside in the sun. So if you don't want to sweat while waiting, go early AM. read more

I came in early with my wife and son a couple of days ago. My wife and I look very young for our age so we're used to getting treated poorly because people assume we are children. That definitely did not come up during our visit. We were shown nothing but respect and kindness. The two guys that helped us we super friendly and had great customer service! over all the visit was only about 15 minutes long. Super short which is great because we had our baby boy with us and it sucks waiting around when babies get fussy, but that definitely wasn't an issue here. I'll refer anyone I know who needs a smog check to this business! Thanks for all your help. Keep up the great work. read more

During the COVID-19 pandemic it can be hard to find a smog place that is open. With an inconvenient car registration coming up I had to find a trustworthy place that was still open. Luckily I found this place. I called in ahead of time to make sure they were open. They were very nice on the phone and told me to come on in anytime. I went in the that same day and it took all of 10 minutes. They have a little waiting area that has a window looking into the shop, so you watch your car if you want to. The prices are really fair, in my opinion. It only cost me $45 for the smog test and DMV certificate. The only cons are that it can be hard to see from the road and you have to drive down a narrow driveway to get to the shop. Other than that I had a great experience. Glad to have found this place on such short notice. read more

This place is legit. Took my aunts Corolla to get smogged, and it failed, they told me what to fix and what I needed to do, after fixing the issues, came back the next day the car passed with flying colors. This STAR smog check place is wonderful. I tried 6 other places before I got here on a Saturday after 4pm, most places close by 5pm or not open at all. Two other places had their STAR certification revoked and/or their equipment was not working. Friendly staff took me in quickly and I found out that they are open 7 days a week which is highly unusual and very customer friendly. read more

They offer a $32 service for expediting payment for the registration same day, but if you have a computer at home, you won't need that. All-in-all, a quick appointment, and unavoidable, but I would definitely come back if or when (probably next year). Pro tip: Fill up your tank and use a fuel injector cleaner from Autozone or O'Reilly's. Most importantly though, if your check engine light is on, you won't pass.

I came in very last minute for a smog check and they took me in :) they were very helpful and did a pretest to make sure everything was up to code on my vehicle and they have a little waiting area as well while you wait for your service to be completed. I really appreciated the excellent customer service! They also accommodated me while I had trouble with my Groupon ticket. They still serve me. The wait time was literally 10 minutes and their waiting area was nice and clean and airy. They all have great customer service at this location (Rubidoux). I went around 10 am on a Friday and they were done within 10 minutes! Fast and easy service. It is hard to locate at first if you do not look at the signage since the business is in the back but it only took me an additional minute! It was only $35 with Yelp check in but just make sure to message the business ahead of time. Definitely would recommend!! read more
