    Good food, service, and cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere! It's like a Korean BBQ minus the diy cooking. Everything comes prepared from the kitchen. The only downside is that you have to pay for the sauces and lettuce to eat with the meat. In mist korean places those are included. Reservations go fast so it's best to book in advance.

    I came here with son for a midweek dinner night. The place is more spacious than what it looked like from the outside. The restaurant wasn't even half way full when we arrived but quickly filled up by the time we finished our dinner. The service was great too. Defiantly a "fancy" Korean type place. Not sure if that's what I'm looking for when craving Korean though. Prices were high, dishes were small. They start you off with banchan, which was really good. We ordered their sweet & spicy Korean Fried chicken. These were unfortunate boneless. Although tasty, I would have preferred an actual bone in wings. We also ordered Bulgogi and their Hot Stone Bibimbap. Both dishes were good. Unfortunately the bibimbap came with an overcooked egg. It was very crispy and no egg white? Not sure I'd come back anytime soon.

    I've wanted to try Mister Tiger for a while, especially given the limited Korean options downtown. The interior is very lively and modern, and seems like a great place for a moody cocktail. There is a small bar and ample seating. We made a reservation which were available, but it may be difficult to walk in after seeing how busy the restaurant got through the night. The drinks were excellent, and all very refreshing. Food we found a bit more hit or miss. Our favorite was the grilled mushroom. The fried chicken was well flavored but a very small portion, and we found the pancakes to be overly greasy. Docking a star because the pricing here feels a bit out of control. Two people for app, entree and a drink each came out to $200+ which was a bit of sticker shock for the quantity of food you get. Portions are more modest. In general, good addition to the scene but I think there are better Korean options for the price if you're willing to go a bit further from downtown.

    I saw Mister Tiger at an Asian restaurant food event and I really wanted to like this experience given the good reviews and hype. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations. We had one of the last seatings of the night, and maybe this affected the food quality. Starting with the pros: This is a nice restaurant with a lively atmosphere, perfect for a date night or friends dinner. The menu is very streamlined, which takes the mental load off of ordering. The drinks involve interesting Asian twists on well known drinks, such as a Korean "horchata." We enjoyed both drinks that we got. Aesthetically, the food is plated well for social media. Service was as expected. We ordered the galbi jjim, bulgogi, Korean fried chicken, and japchae. This comes with a side of rice and ban chan (sides). The ban chan was good, but the fish cakes were dry and lacked flavor. We thought the meat was overall kind of dry- not egregiously so, but I expected more for the price. The fancy part is that they whittle the vegetables into pretty shapes. The japchae was good, if not a tad sweet. For almost $100/per person, I would probably just go to your local Korean restaurant or market.

    **extremely delayed restaurant week review** We basically ordered the whole menu! Starters: Uni Rice - so delicious! I felt like i naturally wanted more Uni because I love uni; I know they are known for this but honestly idk if it'd order it again because the rice to uni ratio felt like a lot Glazed baby back rib: fall off the bone and delicious! Korean Fried Chicken: PERFECT crunch and breading to the chicken Jeon: the chive pancakes were crispy and not overly oily which I appreciated Mains Galbi Jjim: i love galbi and it did not disappoint Spicy Chicken: again, the chicken was perfectly cooked and the cheese sauce is so yummy.     Mister Tiger - restaurant week 2026 starters: ribs 10/10 fried chicken 8/10 | my ribs literally fell off the bone in the best way you can imagine. it was delicious and tender and started the whole dinner off on a higggggh note. LB's chicken was great and standard for what chicken can be. main: bibimbap 6/10 | I wanted to rate this higher because it SHOULD have been good, but my hot stone bibimbap came out wayyyy too hot. My rice was completely hard on the bottom; teeth cracking hard. My egg was also very browned on the bottom too. The sauce provided was a wonderful addition and like I said this SHOULD have been an 8+. It had a great balance of bibimbap ingredients and looked fresh. LB's dish is photographed and I think he'd probably give it an 8 which is what we will rely on dessert: banana chocolate cannoli 7.5/10 | like a banana cream pudding in a cannoli shell with ends dipped in chocolate. very solid. Could eat 15. drinks: jet lag 8/10 & Cass 10/10 | jet lag is an orange espresso martini. It was quite good. Heavy on the orange and definitely chocolately forward. LB says beer is good Summary: 8/10 I would come back for some of the dishes. This is not a restaurant week menu that leaves you with egregious amounts of leftovers.     Delicious food and friendly service. Enjoyed the Galbi entree and Hamachi appetizer. Wished we had ordered the dinosaur version of the Galbi as it was really delicious with the Ssam. Hope to try the Korean wings and uni rice next time. Keep up the good work, guys!

    Mister Tiger is a 5 star experience from start to finish. Edison lighting and a neon tiger set a vibey mood upon entering the intimate dining room. Each bite of food only adds to my love of this spot for Chicago restaurant week. Food reviews: Banchan set--cucumber kimchi was crispy and nicely balanced with a subtle spice! Potato salad, cabbage kimchi, and fish cakes were all just okay Korean chicken--favorite app of the night! The exterior was crispy without being overly heavy. The sauce also packed a powerful flavor punch without overwhelming the bite. Rice cakes had nice texture to break up bites of chicken. Jeon--beautiful contrast between crispy exterior and silky interior. Could use a flavor boost on its own but was elevated nicely with the chili oil served with it Bulgogi bibimbap--no notes on this dish! Each element added something to the bowl and the crispy rice on the bottom delivered! I loved adding the gochujang to make the spice sing. Banana chocolate cannoli--such a fun flavor combo on a classic dessert. Filling was beautiful, silky and balanced both flavors well

    I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and restaurant week was the perfect time to come. Upon arrival, the host was very welcoming and seated me early while I waited for my 2 friends to arrive. The restaurant felt very modern and warm at the same time. We all went with the restaurant week menu and shared our dishes family-style so we can try a variety of food. For our starters, we got the complimentary banchan, uni rice, jeon, and Korean fried chicken. The Korean fried chicken stood out, it was perfectly crispy and had a perfect balance between sweet and spicy. The jeon also tasted amazing, which also had a crisp texture. The sauce it came with added a little acidity which worked really well with the flavors of the pancake. For our main courses, we got the galbi jjim and two orders of spicy chicken. The galbi jjim (braised short ribs) literally melted in my mouth, it was quite delicious. The gochujang marinade on the spicy chicken tasted great, especially paired with the cheese and perilla. For dessert, we all got the milk ice cream bingsoo, which was thicker than what we expected, but nonetheless it was very delicious. Overall, I'm so glad that I came here. I used to live in South Korea and the food and atmosphere reminded me of the meals I used to always eat there. It definitely felt and tasted authentic. I'm so excited to come back again and try more of their dishes!

    I'm always on the hunt for the next best Korean restaurant for the Boy and this was on my list for a while. Layer on top that his birthday was coming up? Score. We ordered the uni rice (meh, I don't really get the uni craze), galbi jim (absolutely delicious, hands down my favorite dish), galbi (good/fine, nothing to write about) and banana chocolate pie (worst dessert we've had in a long time, the crust tasted like was undercooked and dry). Overall, underwhelmed.

    Mister Tiger has been on my list for a while and I finally got to try it. As a Korean-American, I have high expectations on Korean cuisine. Mister Tiger definitely has a modern twist to Korean food. However, the portions is a little smaller than I expected. I appreciated they gave rice on the house but the bowl of rice was less than half of the bowl (which in Korean restaurants it would be filled to the top). In my opinion, Mister Tiger is pretty decent considering the Korean food scene in Chicago is mid. Some of my favorites were the Uni rice and the kimchi jeon (which was pretty crispy to my liking but the waiter asked our table that it would be $5 extra so every person could get one). We also ordered the spicy monkfish, galbi fried rice, spicy pork with tofu, and banana chocolate pie. Everything was pretty tasty but the Uni rice was my favorite out of them all. I was also impressed with the banana chocolate pie which was my favorite dessert! Overall, I definitely recommend coming here at least once. I'm not sure if I would come here again because the portions are on the smaller side but you have to remember that this is a more upscale Korean restaurant.

    All I can say is food was amazing! I went with my cousin to celebrate my birthday, and we enjoyed everything from start to finish. Our waiter was the best, friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. I definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, and street parking is available.

And here's the part that should tell you everything you need to know: I am a certified radish hater. I avoid it whenever possible. Yet somehow, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the radish banchan and asking for more. Even the soup - which also featured radish - was absolutely delicious. If Perilla can convert someone who actively dislikes radish into a fan for one meal, that's saying something. The soju was exactly what I wanted with Korean barbecue: crisp, clean, and refreshing. I appreciate that it was neutral rather than overly sweet. The flavored, sweeter versions aren't really my thing unless the food is setting my mouth on fire. Speaking of spice, the wings were good: juicy, well-executed, and satisfying but I kept wishing they packed a little more heat. They weren't spicy at all, and a bigger kick would have taken them from very good to unforgettable. As for the meats, the pork jowl was gloriously rich and fatty, exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The pork collar ended up being my favorite: flavorful, tender, and with just the right balance of meat and fat. The pork belly was comforting and familiar - the classic KBBQ staple done well, with beautifully rendered edges and that indulgent quality that makes it a crowd-pleaser for a reason. The set also came with potatoes that were unexpectedly delicious. My only complaint? It was far too much food for one person. The service deserves its own mention. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The entire meal was delivered with efficiency and a smile, making a solo diner feel completely comfortable lingering and enjoying the experience. What I thought would be a quick happy hour stop turned into one of my favorite meals.

Like another reviewer mentioned, this was cooked and prepared (Mongolian style) in the kitchen. It came out on a sizzling skillet. It tasted delicious. The meat was really tender and juicy, but there were a couple of pieces with bone-in which I didn't really care for. I thought the side-dishes were really good. I completely finished the kimchi and pickled cucumbers. So good. I almost forgot about the miso soup. It was pretty standard (which is good) and hit the spot on a wintery day. Unexpectedly, for dessert, the server brought out a Haagan Daas ice-cream bar lol. I wasn't sure if this was normal or if it was just because I'm handsome? (found out later they do this for everyone... lol). I didn't really have room b/c I was full from the main dish and sides but ate it anyways (why not?). Overall I had a delicious meal. I can't remember the pricing off the top of my head, but I would say that it's reasonably priced. Oh, they also serve alcohol here too so if your looking for a spot for a group of people, that is an option. I personally had a large Cass to wash down my meal. Daebak!

The space has such a fun, modern interior with records and other music decor lining the small space! Perfect spot for a date or small group. A live DJ was spinning various records during our visit, which I thought would be too loud, but was the perfect backdrop for our great dinner conversation. Staff were friendly, and didn't hang around too much, which was nice! The cocktails and food were the real deal! I had the Pineapple Upside Down Cake cocktail, which I thought would be SUPER sweet, but it was balanced and refined in the best way. Lovely take on a tropical cocktail. We shared the Korean Chicken Sandwich, the Burger, and the Bing Bread. Every single bite was delicious: fun take on a pizza with the Bing Bread, a fresh and light take on a Korean Chicken sandwich, and a deliciously savory burger with all my favorite toppings! It's a more relaxed concept than the OG, serving Korean inspired bar food and inventive cocktails. While I liked the original Parachute, I am obsessed with Parachute HiFi. You must order the bing bread. It's what they are known for, and for good reason. It reminded me of a large doughy pizza roll, in the best way. I was also in love with the tapioca fritters with pepper jelly. The texture of the tapioca fritter was so unique and fun, and the pepper jelly was seriously out of this world. Bottle that stuff up and sell it! Whoever said the ttebokki pad Thai didn't taste like pad thai was wrong - it does and was a satisfying dish that I'd order again! I love twists on a classic and it was so smart to use rice cakes instead of the traditional noodles. The cocktails all sounded amazing, especially having names like pineapple upside down cake and black sesame. They got me intrigued for sure. Both cocktails were well balanced and enjoyable. Can't wait to return to try more from the menu (like that burger!)
